Rupert Grint says that growing up on screen is proving to be a challenge and that he is dreading filming romantic scenes with Emma Watson in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.
"As I've known Emma for so long, I reckon it will be 10 times worse," says the 20-year-old actor, who plays Ron Weasley.
"I really love the seventh book, but there is no way it will be tame with the Hermione stuff."

Duke University is hard at work developing technology that will shield visibility outside the realm of fantasy!
Researchers say that this is more sophisticated than a 2006 cloaking prototype, and it works with metamaterials that may be useful to improve wireless communication and shield seismic waves. In theory, this will allow electromagnetic waves to travel around a thing as if it were invisible!
"According to Duke, the new materials in the cloaking device are able to bend electromagnetic waves. When the waves bend around the cloaking materials, it makes it appear as if the cloaked object isn't there at all."

The Scotsman has reported that Lord Voldemort is one of the truly terrifying villains in modern children's literature. What makes a good villain? Elv Moody of Classic Puffin clues us in. "Classic villains also often have something in common with fairytales; they bring out those fears and insecurities about families."
Readers will often revel in a truly horrifying bad guy because the character represents our worst fears and traits, and the bad guy usually meets some sort of demise in the end - as in Harry Potter - where good triumphs over evil.
In the list of the top ten bad guys, Voldemort ranks six!

The Herald Sun via News.com from Australia released an article yesterday on Daniel Radcliffe and the love of his character, Harry Potter.
"I wouldn't be there still after eight years if I didn't love what I did and didn't want to invest a lot of myself into what I'm doing,'' Radcliffe says.
"Neither would the rest of the crew who have stood by the films for eight years.''
The article details Radcliffe's interest in the maturity of his evolving character and the Wizarding World around him. As his character grows he understands better the complexity of what is around him and their inherent dark nature. This is what keeps Dan coming back for more and more, the writers explain.
Dan also talks about the upcoming films, their unique style, purists of the Potter Series and his other works.

Timothy Spall jokes with an interviewer when he is asked what Harry Potter has done for his career. He playfully says, "Destroyed it."
In this little piece, Spall describes his role playing Peter Pettigrew as one of his smallest roles but one that grants him the most recognition. He even recounts being known as the "Rat Dude" when confronted in Middle America. Timothy credits the Harry Potter series with encouraging kids to read who otherwise wouldn't.
Spall plays in a new version of 'Oliver Twist' which is to be aired on PBS on February 15th and 22nd.

With disappointment already plaguing various aspects of Half-Blood Prince with reports of changes to the storyline and the decision to release the movie at a later date, it comes as one more piece of bad news that the latest Harry Potter film receives a 'PG' rating.
A PG-rated motion picture should be investigated by parents before they let their younger children attend. The PG rating indicates, in the view of the Rating Board, that parents may consider some material unsuitable for their children, and parents should make that decision.
The more mature themes in some PG-rated motion pictures may call for parental guidance. There may be some profanity and some depictions of violence or brief nudity. But these elements are not deemed so intense as to require that parents be strongly cautioned beyond the suggestion of parental guidance. There is no drug use content in a PG-rated motion picture.
With each book becoming progressively darker in it's storyline, the movies too haven't rated less than PG-13 since the Prisoner of Azkaban.

In an interview with SHOWCASE, Alan Rickman talks about the characters he portrays, how he deals with his on-screen and on-stage personas, and skillfully dodges questions about his personal life. "Well, you know, those are very personal questions, and maybe one of the things that has kept me sane is not answering them," is his response to a question regarding his long standing relationship with Rima Horton.
The 62 year old actor has recently been seen in "Nobel Son" in which he plays Eli Michaelson, who wins the Nobel Prize for Chemistry while his son is struggling in the field of academics.
