Book 3:
Mistakes

In the last chapter, on page 430, it says, "Percy had got top-grade N.E.W.T.s; Fred and George had scraped a handful of O.W.L.s each." But, Fred and George would not have gotten their results from their O.W.L.s until later that summer.

When Harry is preparing to board The Knight Bus in chapter three, Stan Shunpike informs Harry that it would cost him 11 sickles to take a ride to London. Harry then gives him some gold - however, sickles are silver. On page 89, the word dilapidated is spelled "delapidated"

On page 135, Lupin says "Nobody knows what a boggart looks like when he is alone". Though later in the series (5th book), Moody uses his magic eye to see through a cupboard at a boggart. He knows what a boggart looks like when it is alone.

On page 285, it says that "Snap" picked up Harry's bag from Zonkos. It should read "Snape."

Lupin says that as long as he takes the Wolfsbane Potion in the week preceding the full moon, he'll keep his mind when he transforms. Later, when Snape comes to the Shrieking Shack, he says that he saw the map when he was giving Lupin his potion. Why would he be giving to him that night?

The artwork for the last chapter, Owl Post Again, shows Pig the owl carrying a letter with a stamp on it. Why do owls need stamps on the letters they deliver? - Submitted by Casey
