Do any of you have premonitions? Premonitions are things that you see or feel before they actually happen, sort of like a vision. I have them in my dreams, and they really freak me out because everything is so clear and you can't try and wake yourself up. It scares me sometimes, but they are pretty cool. Do any of you guys have premonitions?
So, i live in Berks County, aka the most Haunted County In America (or is is just PA? i dunno) Charles Adams III was born here. so, as you can imagine, we have a lot of "haunted" places, such as the Red Bridge, uh...theres the name of this haunted park...having a brain fart, so cant remember...and Stokesay Castle...i've been to Stokesay Castle a million times, so i know the story by heart...
During the depression, a rich man met a poor woman...they fell in love and were married. This man was so rich, he owned all of Mount Penn. Now, the man loved his wife so much, that he brought builders in to build a replica of a castle in London for them to live in, because his wife loved England. But after a while, the woman felt guilty and miserable and guilty. She thought she wasnt good enough for her husband, because she had been so poor. She didnt want to bring her husband down through society, so she came up with a plan.
One New Year's Eve, the woman and her husband went to a costume party, the woman wearing a red cape. In the middle of the party, the woman said she wasn't feeling well and she wanted to go home. She told her husband to stay at the party, she would be fine at home. A few hours later, the husband went home and went to find his wife. All he found was a suicide note, and his wife's body, hanging from a banister in the main hall...
Today Stokesay Castle is a resturant, a nice one at that. The main hall is the main dining hall, and you can see the legendary banister while you're eating. Here's where it gets creepy, diners have said on their way to the bathroom, they have seen a woman in a red cape walk past them, but when they went to take anotehr look, she was gone...workers there have said when they're setting up, puttin napkins in cups and all, and they step out for a minute, when they go back in, all the napkins have been pulled out, and the chairs pushed out of the way. Then when they're cleaning up after a party has left, they'll push chairs in, but the woman was said to have loved to look out the window to the garden. Then the workers go t another table. When they turned around, the chair is pulled up to a window...creepy huh? it gets creepier. The manager was locking up one day, when he was all alone. When he was doing his check and walking down the stairs, he heard footsteps behind him, and a shadow on the wall...then when he went outside and pulled out the keys to lock the door, he heard loud bangings on the other side, as if the woman was telling the man to hurry up and leave...
The depressed woman still haunts the Castle today, drifting around hopelessly...and this story is true. In the office there are articles about the woman hanging herself and all...
Story 2:
ok, for a writing project in October my teacher (who is totally cool) told us to go and find a creepy story to tell...so, i went on google to find stories. i found this one site, with this really cool guy who made it. he said when he was younger, an apparation used to appear to him during the night, and it seemed to be asking him for help.
i cant remember all the details, but it gave me shivers reading it...believe me...now, i love ghosts, i believe they're real, and i am keeping my opinions! Reg
