Ok I wasn't sure where to post this so apologies in advance.

Veritaserum is a great website which has something for everyone but while we are always looking for new ideas and new ways to keep the site attractive to users, as in that it doesn't all get boring, we are clean forgetting the wonderful resources that the site already has but lies dusty in a corner.

For example, I found this wonderful chat function: Veritaserum Chat , which has sadly been left to rust where no one finds it. Instant messaging in today's society is an attractive function so we should make more use of what we already have.

There are those die-hard Veritaserumers who are always online but ways to attract new users don't always have to be new ideas.

As much as the Forums Staff would love to keep the entire site shiny and appealing, we actually don't have any access to the Chat rooms. I know that the Chat rooms have been down for quite some time, but none of the Forums Staff know how to operate anything over there. The Chat rooms have their own sets of Mods and Bots. If anything ever comes up, we'll be sure to let you know.

But thanks for the suggestion!! You should never hesitate to post something that could be for the benefit of the site. smile.gif

Sorry, Droobs, I should have explained better what I meant. I understand forum staff aren't chat staff and so on, it's just such a shame that more can't be done. That said, I wasn't just refering to chat functions either, just a little example of the great facilities Veritaserum has to offer but are not used really.
My point simply was that Veritaserum is a great site with great member input but members drift away which is sad. Well hopefully others will post ideas here also.

I know! Trust me, I know!

I know a lot of the old site hands have moved on, so I'll try to track down who to contact to see if some of these things can't be picked back up, but I'm not holding my breath...

At least we can try to keep the forums going! I know there's only so much we can discuss about the book, particularly now that there's nothing really to theorize about, but we can do what we can.

If you guys have any ideas for the forums, please don't hesitate to send me a PM with your ideas! I'd love to hear them!
