I like the thought of the kisses it might be because im a girl but i think it will give the film a more this could happend now or later and cause theyre growing up it shows that they have feelings towards each other

Yep, Woody, it's making out. As for what I think - I don't mind the snogging. I think it could make the chemistry between the characters a really cool bit in the movie, but it should be well scripted and well directed.

It's all about keeping the tension between the couples-to-be. If Harry and Ginny's kiss is done in a sweet and sexy way it'd be great. Ron and Lavender have to be there, but just one scene because the real tension is being created between him and Hermione.

I actually look forward to the promotional interviews and news of the build-up of this movie and to hear what the actor's have to say to it!

Well, I don't get the impression that the actors would be completely averse to some kissing scenes... So far we've got an "urgh, we don't have to kiss, do we?" from Rupert (source), but when you think about it, Emma's reaction to the idea of hugging Harry in the CoS film was considerably more negative (source), and I really think the actors have grown to be much more comfortable with on-set... erm... intimacy since they started out. Plus, what would you expect a teenage guy to say to a reporter -- "ooh, lookin' forward to it!?"

That being said, I'm not thrilled to pieces with all the kissing scenes -- not because I think it's rough on the actors or I think it's inappropriate for the audience/rating or any of that -- but because I just didn't find all the cheesy romances particularly tasteful at all in HBP, and I'm not looking forward to seeing what I considered a disaster of a book (in terms of relationships) replicated on the big screen. My one hope is that Mike Newell will return for the sixth movie. I thought he did amazingly well with handling the Yule Ball in GoF (there was huge potential to foul up the "tension" between Ron and Hermione in that one), and if anyone can tame the snogging and make it seem more romantic and less childish in HBP, he's the man.

Rupert is in for a rude awakening! He will be doing some heavy duty snogging when HBP is made into a film. Rupert will most likely be pushing twenty years of age, by the time the 6th book is made into a movie. I am sure that he will have had practice in the kissing department before then.

I heard a while back that Katie (Cho) was looking forward to kissing Dan in OotP. (What girl wouldn't, right?!). And, Bonnie (Ginny) better have plenty of breath mints on hand, 'cuz she will be doing some serious smooching in HBP with Dan!

The actors are growing up, gone are the "e-w-w-w-w, I have to kiss him/her!?" days. In fact, I would think that any healthy teenager would look forward to it.

But you can't actually leave all of them out! it's one factor to consider..or is it?? but really, wouldn't it kinda block the magical stuff?? i mean, snogging?? okay, i should really shut up now.

but,,,,hmm...they're still young, nor really mature enough to know these things, so why snog?

well, they have to film a few snogging scenes...!? it would really surprise me if ginny and harry didn't kiss in the HBP movie... but i hope they make that good! not that it seems like a childish relationship!
and they MUST film ron and hermione...but we have to wait for that part even longer lol
well, it they film it good, then i'm not against snogging scenes. but not too much!

As long as they don't elaborate on the snogging, its finre with me, I think they should include Ron and Lavender snogging at least once, but no more than 2 times. ANd harry and ginny are important too. Its just that i think that the whole ron and lavender snogging thing is important, its one of the things that make hermione seem even more attracted to ron (which i am against by the way) and that is part of the plot that ends in them winding up together. and i think that in some cases, they will just talk about it like "Oh i saw Ron snogging Lavender today" it will save on time in the movie, and it will be one less scene to worry about.

i think its allright if they show the snogging scenes, because they are quite funny actually.I like Ron so much, and that's why I'm waiting for the Ron/Lavander scene.

I think some people forget what Rupert and Dan did between filming GoF and OotP. Made movies having nothing to do with HP. In both Driving Lessons and December boys, they kiss girls. It seems they plan to be acting for a while and that they have accpeted that love scenes is part of acting.
I think who ever said that Mike did a good job with the Yule Ball/Brawl and the R/Hr tension was very right. Well I like PoA more, I give Mike huge props for what he did with that sceen. It played amasingly well. Though there are other directors out there who can play teen romance and make it real. Joss Whendon, case and point .
