Will Krum become dark? I'm not sure if this is already posted, I already checked for the longest time, but if its already posted then u can take it off.
We all know that Victor went to Durmstrang and that was known for teaching the Dark Arts. We also know that his headmaster was a deatheater. So how do we know for sure that he isn't going to turn dark in the 7th book?
I dont think Krum will become "dark". Im the end of book four when everyone was leaveing and they where saying there goodbyes krum struk me as a good person. He may have went to Durmstrang, but the best of best of people can come from the darkest of places.

Well, I don't think he'll be on the dark side. But yes he knows a lot about Dark Arts, yes it's said he'll be seen again. Well, maybe he'll be the next DADA teacher... When it was said "a pupil will be returning as a teacher", it wasn't "a Hogwarts pupil will be returning as a teacher"
I like this idea, it could actually be true. Imagine that.... maybe Hermione and Krum could then get back together. But i definately do not think Krum is evil. There is too much good in him.

Sirius came from a dark, pure-blood loving family, look at him, he was a great person. Krum the only thing bad was he was bewitched. I doubt he will even turn up in the 7th book unless Hermione visits him or even sends letters, so I doubt it.

Well we alrady know that we will see krum in book 7. I believe we are trying now to find out how we will see him. If we are going to see him as a DE/supporter of LV or are we going to see him as someone good.

I don't think that Hermione will visit him, as she is with Ron now. However, I think it is a good idea that Krum could become evil, or possibly the headmaster at Durmstrang could be featured. It is possible about Krum becoming the DADA teacher, as there is always a new one every year. So, in what woulkd be the 8th book, Krum could be the DADA teacher.

I have read in several different places that the chances of Viktor Krum becoming dark are better than not. Look at it, Karkaroff was a former Death Eater and the headmaster of Durmstrang, and when Karkaroff ran off that night and was found dead a year later, it only makes sense that he would be teaching Viktor about the ways of the dark Arts and possibly even teaching him about the Dark Lord. Viktor will probaly be back in Book 7 but he won't be on Harry's side, he will be against him, it will be interesting to see what kind of battle those two will get into.

I kind of think Krum will stay on the good side (light side?! why is one side the dark side, and the other the good side, i don't get it!!) I thin k he's proved himslef to be a loyal friend, and confidante to Hermione, and I can't really see him as a death eater. I believe we will see him again in book seven, and I think it could be at that point that Hermione reveals her true love for... Ron!

I don't think Krum will go evil. And I doubt Karkaroff would have been teaching him about Voldy, he was running away from Voldy! quortimer I didn't think ROn and Hermione were actully together quite yet.

I think it"s hard to say if Krum will be on the dark side or not. I say that becasue I think Hermione could keep him on Harry's side, but I don't know about the influence Karkarov had on him whether it was good or bad. Karkarov's death in HBP had to affect Krum somehow, but how?

Good question. We've discussed this before in the Mooop thread; there were a lot of good points made there.. First, as someone already mentioned, coming from an evil family/school/community does not necessarily make Krum evil. He does attend Durmstrang, but let's not forget - Bulgaria is a small country, it's quite possible that it only has one school for wizards. In that case, there is little choice for magical students. They have to learn about Dark Arts, even if they themselves are not indeed "dark".
