I asked permission and was granted the right to open a new club for Draco Malfoy fans like us!
I know Marcey and McKenzie might like it, and I've seen a lot of other people about here at VTM who might enjoy it, too.
We can talk about the character, the actor, we can do some squeeing (in a dignified Draco drawl, of course, squeeing excitedly is just not Draconian enough)--introduce new news and gossip, provide links to our fave Draconian fanfic (no 'adult' rated links, thanks!) and just generally obsess over 'our' Draco. Oh yeah...and Tom Felton, who plays him in the films.

Although not properly a Draco obsessed, I like him very much...so I'm proud to join the Club!!! The boy has got something special....his role in the HBP has been very important and gave interesting hints on his true personality (at last...).
Champagne and caviar for this new opening!!!

Oooh, I love champagne! I've never had caviar though!
Louise asked me what my attraction to Draco/Tom was, so I answered her, and thought I may as well put it here, too.
I saw the films before I read the books and was really struck with Tom. He has a very expressive face and was as cute as a bug's ear. Then I read the books and the thing about Draco is that, unlike Harry, he never really gets any praise. It's rare. He's just expected to always know the right thing to do and so he's like this little coiled spring, always tense, always wary and defensive--and I was always like that as a kid! He seems to live his life in constant dread of being humiliated, so he's always on the offensive--he always seems to strike for no reason, but the reason is his dread of being the one caught unawares.
It struck at my heart, you might say.
Hmmmm....this is beginning slow...maybe I was wrong about the fans? Hopefully they'll find us soon!
iīm non of those obsessive fans, but i was pretty impressed by draco in HBP... and iīd like to discuss with you about him. i think inside of him thereīs something good and itīs all his parents fault (arenīt they always the ones to blame ?!) that he became a death eather...heavy stuff for a opening party, sorry...
anyway is there still champagne left?

I don't think I'm properly obsessed either, but I definitely wouldn't ahve a problem talking about Draco!!
I do have to say my attraction to the character was much like yours, Darcy. Poor kid. I always did feel a bit sorry for him, especially after HBP. He was crying... I think he just needed a hug. Unfortunately, I don't think Myrtle could have done the trick.
And am I the only one who finds Draco's insults particularly hilarious? "Potter, can I have your picture, Potter? Can I have your autograph? Can I lick your shoes, please, Potter?" Hee hee. Ok, maybe it's just me.
Hey!! Leave enough champagne for the rest of us.....
Edit: Oh, I forgot to mention how much I love the title of this...

NO, you are not the only one who laughs about his insults... he has a creative mind. iīm always for thoughtful insults...thatīs an art itself...teehee
...i used to dislike draco, because of his behaviour as i read the books for the first time...then as i started to reread them i started to ... letīs say like him more
Aethonon, we are all here! hey i got my second glass of champagne now...itīs the good stuff!

I don't know how likeable Draco really is--not much, I suppose. But I see a lost little boy when I look at him, poor thing. He could be so much more than what has been mapped out for him by his father. I know more than I care to about how parents can influence a child and affect his whole existence for so long after their influence should have waned...
Tigerlily, well, lol--we have S.O.S.S., and now we have D.O.D.D.
Let me tip off your flute--bottoms up!
I have a terribly motherly feeling for both Harry and Draco. I think that's why JK's work reaches across the generations. It brings forward a lot of different emotions in all of us. I just always feel so bad for both of the boys. So much to face, with so little support and preparation. Part of it is motherly, part of it recalls my own upbringing and what was missing.
awww... seems like i'm a liitle bit late for the opening party! but it's ok, i like to make an entrance lol. ANd although i'm not completely obbssessed with Tom , i do have a soft spot when it comes to Draco. I blame everything evil about Dracon on his parents of course. I belive there is something good about him, he's gotta have a sensitive side, and i'm hoping it will show in the last HP book. And i do hope that he will change his ways, because he is such a bright young man and he could amount to so much more...
Any bits of champagne in the bottom of your glasses...they're mine!
I do love it when a new thread is opened and it's all fresh and new! AND IT'S ESPECIALLY NICE WHEN THE PERSON WHO OPENED IT ASKED PERMISSION!
Hehe! So, a tribute to our sacred Draco Malfoy, eh? Excellent idea! I was going to open one myself but it seems that Aethonon asked for permission first!
So, I would like to start the subjects with: Will Draco be killed in the final book?
Personally I think NOT (that's partly because I don't want to think about it!) Although in the last book I think that Draco will realise that he's in the wrong and will turn against Voldermort and help fight for the Order. Wouldn't that be nice?
Let's just pray that he doesn't get killed in the attempt to STOP Voldermort!

Yes,even I too wish that he turns against LV and also acts as a spy for the Order. But if LV found out about this(he hates traitors) he would obviously kill him.But I wish JK does it because my sympathy for him would increase. If he is killed,he would be a martyr and would be in the hearts of every one and especially it would affect Harry Potter.I have a question. When Draco turns against LV and joins the good side, will the enemity between the trio and him will end?.Won't Hermione want to take revenge on him for all the insults?.When he joins the Order, will they feel uneasy to cooperate with him, like in the case of Snape and Sirius?.
Oh my gosh! Why wasn't I told about this club!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! Holy cow! A club focused on my Drakie-Poo!!!!! I think I've died and gone to heaven!!!! *swoon*

I think there is a distinct possibility that he dies. I also think if he does die, it will be towards the beginning of the book. Draco and Professor Snape just fled Hogwarts; where are they going to flee to? If they go back to Voldemort that is where Draco will more than likely be killed by Voldemort. If they go somewhere else, I think he'll have a better chance of survival.
I don't want it to happen, but there is that chance. If he doesn't die at the beginning of the book, then I see him somehow hooking up with Harry and going from there. I honestly believe that he will try to figure out who he is and in the process help Harry even if he doesn't like him. What is that old saying, "An enemy of my enemy is my friend"? I see that being Draco and Harry.
Heck with the 'little bits' of champagne! I'm opening a new bottle! We have much to celebrate!!!! There are clubs with all of my favorite people and I am a member of two of them!!! Whoo-hoo! How exciting!!!!

well, i think there is the chance that he is going to be killed off. unfortunately there are two characters going to die and we donīt know who it is going to be... i think draco will join the order, cause after the scene on top of the tower with dumbledore and snape he will start to re-think everything and do the right thing (i hope so...). maybe he will fight against the deatheaters and dies in the battle...that would be morally and thoughtfull, at least i think so... .

i donīt believe that they will become best friends, but this is the final fight. there is no time to worry about the old insults anymore...itīs a matter of life and death that they get along. sirius never believed in the "good" side of snape and they always hated eachother. i mean harry saw draco crying in the bathroom...he knows about his feelings. and he also saw him and heard him speak with dumbledore on the tower. he got to know dracos emotions and his worries... he saw something else than the arogant and insulting draco. this is, somehow, creating a kind of relation...thatīs something that snape and sirius never had. i hope you understand my point...?!
i love this new thread...i get to say all the stuff iīve ever wanted to tell about draco...

OMG! A site dedicated to the hottest guy to ever grace Harry potter movies, my Draco *sighs, as heart flutters*
I am so glad that this is opened, thanks Darcy! You are the bomb diggity! Anyway with all of this discussion about our beloved Draco, I have alot to say on this tpoic as most of you know from all of my rantings and such about The King. I read something very distressing earlier on the "killing off odds" of HP charactors. Harry now has 6-1 odds of dying off as does Draco. But it also says that there are 6-1 odds thst either Ron, Hermione, or Draco will kill Harry off. But when I read that there is a possibility that Draco would be offed I wanted to scream! That cannot happen no way... I am still firmly holding out that he will aid Harry in battle and will come out of the scuffle alive not dead as alot of these so called "betters" are saying. If Draco does die in Book 7 I don't think it will be at the beggining, why not? Because Tom said in an interview that his role would be the biggest in the final 2 movies, so if he was going to be killed off at the begginning of "Deathly Hallows" why would he have a huge role in Movie 7?
No if he does die ( and I am hoping not) then it will be at the end of the book when the big battle between Harry and Voldy goes down. I am so glad that this thread is here, now all of us Draco Lovers can discuss Draco as well as Tom to our hearts content
Thanks again Darcy!
