i know that you think that dumbledor told harry everything in book 5 but i think not, i think that he is still hidding somthing. like an obvous one is that there is a half-blood prince that he did not tell harry about and i gust wonder what else he is hidding.

what are your ideas.

I was thinking the same thing because it wouldn't be that simple. However, I also think that Dumbledore will be the one that dies in the next book so it would make sence for him to get everything out of the way before he goes. What Harry could do if Dumbledore dies could be the thing that he didn't mention.

I too believe that there are a few things that Dumbledore hasn't told Harry. For one, at the end of each book DD reveals something to Harry that was very important, and I doubt these upcoming books will be any exception.

Unless of course, Dumbledore dies...

I agree Dumbledore hasn't told Harry everything because you can only say so much to a kid in a hospital wing, McGonagall's office, or his own tower. I think the big secret was the prophecy situation, but there is always more to find out-particularly when you fledging adulthood.

Dumbledore is the only person that Voldemort ever feared. Harry has never asked why he is scared of him, he just assumes it is because Dumbleodre is a very powerful wizard. but there must be more to it than that and Voldemort couldn't always have been scared of him as he opened the Chamber of Secrets while Dumbleodre was teaching at the school. so maybe the thing that Dumbledore is holding back involves himself, maybe there is a deeper connection between Voldemort and Dumbledore that we have yet to realise.

i know that there is always the qestion of why DD did not try to kill voldemort. i think maybe since he knew about harry and the prochey(spelling) that he thought that mabe he would die gust if he tried. maybe he was gust being selfish, or he gust wanted to stay around to help harry.

I think that if Dumbledore tried to kill Voldemort then Voldemort would only become that ghost form or whatever he was. Dumbledore knew that the only way to kill Voldemort was to have Harry kill him.

i do not trust dumbledore. He is hiding a lot. So no, i think there is somethings he hasn't told him. Like the fact that dumbledore is a death eater in secret, or that he is secretly voldemort

I agree, there's no way Dumbledore's being totally honest with Harry. Personally, I think he either thinks or knows that killing Voldemort will result in the death of Harry (assuming that their connection also includes death). This would explain why he didn't try to kill old Voldy that night at the ministry.

I don't totally trust Dumbledor either, but I don't think he is a death eater or anything and there's no way he could be Lord Voldemort. If he was Voldy, then how in the world would the two of them been able to fight each other that night in the Ministry of Magic (it'd be kinda hard if you asked me)?

I think he is definitely holding something(s) back. After all, he does feel like a parental figure towards Harry so there will always be that urge to protect Harry no matter how angery Harry gets.

Like Tuitus said, I think the biggest secret was the prophecy, but there has definitely got to be something. Besides, if there wasn't, that might make the next two books rather dull.

I agree with That Old Black Magic. Dumbledore doesn't want to tell Harry everything because he think it'll hurt him. Like he said why he didn't tell Harry about the prophecy before. Maybe he wants to tell Harry something, but knows isn't the one to do it, and that someone else has to be the one to tell Harry an even greater secret. But I doubt it, we're almost done with the series ( sad.gif ), so J.K. wouldn't throw in something greater than the prophecy. But there are definetly other stuff to be uncovered.

I think if he told him that much we pretty much got everything out of the way. He said in the 4th book the understanding was the first step to getting over it (or something along those lines) so I think that Dumbledore could've kept one of his ideas from Harry just because he hasn't come to any conclusions about it yet....but I wish they would give us any detail about the book. when the 5th book came out we knew that Ron was on the Quidditch team and the first line of the novel...I don't think that every little detail is important for the plot...look at book 5. They could've done it in a good 300 pages, they didn't need the 4 chapters where Harry was in detention or all the stuff on S.P.E.W....it's making me crazy.

i think that dumbledore has told everything he knows to harry, but there are some stuff that even DD doesn't know. I mean, the guy can't know everything, right? It would be too easy for harry if DD just explained the entire thing to him. And even if DD does know everything, he'll die before harry can extract anything from him.

well, we have to relize that DD knew that LV might have a horexe if he had tha memory all that time or maybe he gust got that memory when slunghorn started to work at Hogwarts but now (if you fineshed the book) we now that DD can't give anymore secrets but i do have the feling that DD would have written down some notes to pass on to Harry or to remimd himself of what has been going on. I cried at the end of the book and i even saw it coming, and yet i cried.
