This thread has been created for everyone's use who would like to submit links to their fan-made videos. There is a place on the main site where you may submit videos, here, but obviously it's not possible to get everyone's up there, so this is an alternative.
Feedback may be submitted either here or via PM/e-mail to the creator, depending on their preference - if you could state when you post your video how you'd like to be contacted, that would help a lot.
Could you also please state the category of your video (shipping, character etc), the songs you've used and any spoilers that may be in them.
I'd also ask that you please ensure everything is PG rated. That's obviously fine as far as the visuals are concerned because all the movies are fine, but be careful with the music choices...
If you require help or support on how to make your own video, please don't post here - this thread is for support and this thread is for discussions relating the fan-made videos that have been listed on the main site.
Thanks.
A previous thread containing many links to fan made videos which has now been closed may be found here. Any feedback relating to any of the videos there may either be posted here (referring to the video, obviously...) or to the creators.
People have been asking me where i am going to post my videos, well the answer is here in this topic. As a start here are my two latest vids. Please send all reviews by PM and refrain from using one-liners such as 'great do more soon' because that simply undermines all the effort ive put into these vids. It is better if you tell me what you liked and didnt (either way all your opinions are welcomed since it will meke me a better vidder knowing what you want) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Echo This is a video basically focusing on the Trio. So you can call it a character vid however it is open for interpertation since i simply followed the song. Spoilers for all the movies including GoF. Music is by Vertical Horizon and here are the lyrics so you get a better idea of the vid:
Echo, echo... We come, we go-woah No I don't want to be just another Echo, echo... Everywhere I go There's something I really need Everyone I know Is someone I want to be Even though I don't really know me I better pick it up Before I let it slip away I better stick it out Before I take another day Into mouth Everything I say fades out Echo, echo... We come, we go-woah No I don't want to be just another Echo, echo... Can I open up your eyes? Only when the clouds break? Can I feel the light? Even though the world shakes Every night, You're my quiet satellite Can I hold you close? Till we`re out of focus And everything I know I don't even know this It all falls through I'm here and I hear you Echo, echo... We come, we go-woah No I don't want to be just another Echo, echo... Do you hear me? Do you hear me? Cause I need to, just to reach you Do you hear me? Coming clearly? Am I hollow? Just an echo Echo, echo... We come, we go-woah No I don't want to be just another Echo, echo... Echo, echo... We come, we go-woah No I don't want to be just another Echo, echo...

Holla This is a very unusual vid in the sense that it isnt from the movies. I was feeling bored so i took all the behind the scenes footage i have and used two clips from the treiler to make a funny feel good vid. So kick back relax and enjoy. Music is by Baha Men.

Hi everyone! I have just started making my own HP vids (a few weeks ago). I've been using Sony Vegas 6 to edit my videos and I've used DVD clips and trailers. My first video is all about Harry (and for you H/Hr shippers out there, I have clips of Harry/Hermy hugging like four different times in there) and his adventures up to the end of movie 4.
After having made the first video, I realized how much I loved video editing. I have never tried anything like this before -- I don't even own a camcorder! I started doing it just to see if I could because I saw that a lot of people make them. Now that I have completed my first video, I know that it's something I will always do (whether the subject is HP or not).
Okay, so my first video is almost 6 minutes long, it's called The Road to Destiny and it's set to Green Day's Boulevard of Broken Dreams! Since I enjoy making videos so much, I have started my own film company, Charis Films! Okay, so if anyone wants to see my video you can go here: Charis Films
Just click on the "Videos" button and you will be directed to where you can download it. I have three versions of the same video, but different sizes. One is 30MB while the other two are 37MB (the larger file has much better quality), but you have your choice. I also have a 30 second clip of the video that you can download and watch while you download the full video (or before!). Okay, that's all for now. Let me know if you guys think it's any good!
HermioneNymphadora
PS: Some of the clips in the video have lower quality than others and that's on purpose -- it's suppose to be a bit gritty! Also, in the middle of the video, the lead singer uses the "F" word once. I couldn't find a version of the song that was editted to "bleep" out that one word without the song being at least a whole minute shorter, so I just left it as is. Of course, if that makes you feel uncomfortable then please don't download it. The last thing I want is for someone to be upset by it. If you still want to see a bit of the video, you can download the clip (which is completely clean). Let me know what you liked and didn't like (I can take the criticism, as long as it's constructive and not rude). You can PM me or email me at: Aeroprinzess@cs.com -- whichever you prefer! Thanks!
Ok...well there is no sure guide but you should start with the version of the movie on your hard-disk. Then you will need a Video editing program like adobe Premier, Windows movie maker (which is included in Windows) or Sony Vegas, atleast those are the ones i use...
Seeing as you are e begginer well, you have to experiment first, the whole concept is so big that it will take me forever to explain every singe thing...Once you have the footage and the program i suggest you ask more focused questions so we can answer you in a better way!

Hi Alhoa2JayRay! I think the best advice I can give you is to find a program to use (like Shippy4Life mentioned) and start by looking in the help section of the program. Many times they have an article in there that tells you how to "get started" and it should give you some basic information. After you do that, just play around with the program a bit -- just tinker with it. That's how I learned to do it -- I learn best by just playing with programs until I figure it all out. Also, I relally only use the movie trailers, clips, TV spots and behind the scenes footage -- all of which you can download online. I plan to venture into using the whole movies, but so far it seemed to be a bit of a hassle for me since you need to find a program which will rip the movie from the DVD and store it on your computer in multiple .vob files. Some programs don't allow you to edit .vob files so then you'd have to find a way to convert it to a file format it will accept or otherwise find a way to trick the program into accepting it. However, that's just my experience. If I were you, I'd try Windows Movie Maker first. It's free and it comes with you computer. Plus, it's built to be user friendly. You may not be able to do all the fancy stuff you want to do, but at least you'd get the concept of it. I use Sony Vegas 6, but the program is really expensive and not very easy for beginners to use. If you have any more questions, please let me know. You can PM me or email me at: Aeroprinzess@cs.com I hope you do very well and I look forward to see some of your work. Let me know when you finish something, will you? Thanks!

First off, I have a review for HermioneNymphadora.
Great job, I liked the opener with the music and extract from the films. I also particularly liked the clips of Harry (Dan Radcliffe) you used from PoA and GoF, they were some of the better ones around.
I also thought your use of slow motion was excellent, it really helped to set the timing and mood of the song in relation to the HP story. I also liked the speeded up bit where Hagrids waving the chariot down, *lol* really funny!
You timed the cuts very well to fit in with the music, and overall I found the clip very enjoyable. (It helps that I'm also a fan of Greenday too)
One part that blew me away was the slowed down Dragon lunging for Harry near the end, it was quite wonderful, and it was a nice touch putting that quote in from CoS with the fantastically wicked Lucious Malfoy to finish the whole thing off. Well done!
I'll come back and either edit this or post again with a review of shippy4lifes soon.

My Avatar is dedicated to the one and only very wise Sam. Or is that Samwise? (Whose last PM had me rolling on the floor) Luv ya, Albus-wan!
as Nymph said you need a DVD ripper however if you manage to find a good one it will immidiately convert it to .avi. Therefor search for a good Ripper with alot of output options(I am currently using ImToo DVD Ripper) and then see if the program accepts it (note; Sony Vegas has trouble with avis and Vobs so not that good in that department unless you have a super-fast computer)
Ok another new vid plus i solved the review problem. This video is set to the song Kryptonite by Three Doors down and it is a general with abit of a Harry, Hermione character study. It is not exactly the newest (the newest being Clocks H/Hr which i havent uploaded yet) But i got alot of positive reviews and it was besically my 'comeback' vid.
You can find it and all of my recent artwork at my live journal here. I hope you enjoy it.
(since i still dont know how to add links in my LJ *how sad* here is the link for those of you who dont want to go trough the hustle of copy and pasting it into your browsers..lol... KRYPTONITE)
I took all the footage I could find from the GOF trailers and sneak peaks and put this together. I hope everyone likes the christmas themed music since one of the main parts of GOF is the YULE BALL!!!
If anyone would like to comment, my email addy is at the end of the video in the credits. Thanks!!!

To Razzberry: Thank you for your kind words! I really appreciate the review.
To AngelOfFire83: Great video! Very dramatic and I liked it! I already emailed my suggestions to you but this is sort of for everyone to read. If you are the type who doesn't want to see too much GoF stuff before you see the movie, beware of this video. I didn't watch the whole thing because it was showing more than I wanted to see. So, if you want to sheild yourself from possible GoF spoilers, that video may not be for you. However, if you don't mind seeing that stuff, then I recommend that you see this video because it was bloomin' great.
Okay, so I have a new video that I have made. It is all about Hermione Granger and is set to a Patrick Doyle song (Kissing In the Rain from the fie Great Expectations). It's about 4 and a half minutes long and the music is purely instrumental. It can be downloaded here
It has clips from all four films including some dialogue. I plan to tweak the video a little more by adding special effects later.
I have also made another video that I have submitted for the VTM OnAir contest and I won't be posting the download link for that until after the contest is over (partially because there are no credits on it yet since VTM will add credits if it happens to win -- yeah, like MY video is actually going to win LoL). After the contest, I'll post a download link!
Let me know what you all think of my video, Changes!
Shippy, all of your videos are expired so I didn't get to see any of them unfortunately
Nymph, none of your would work on mine except for the 30 second one with the Green Day song, and it was brilliant! I loved how you changed the speed and how the music matched the scenes perfectly! Can I make a request? If so, I would love to see a H/Hr ship video.
I got to see part of the putfile one (I'm sorry I can't remember your name) and it looked good. I only got to see up to the dragon scene but I loved how it started slow then turned into an upbeat video. Really caught my attention.
MOD EDIT: I understand you're being new here, but there's rules on posting one-liner and we're not allowing that. Please read the rules again or if you haven't already.

AGHYAgrl: Thank you for your kind words! I now have a new link where you can download the full video with the Green Day song. It can be downloaded here Once you click on the link, no page will load but the "Save" prompt will pop up and you just select where you want to save the file.
As for your request, I certainly will make a Harry/Hermione video. I really like your signature pictures, by the way (how did you get them posed like that?). I have some other videos lined up right now, some that have yet to be completed and others are still in the concept stage. What song would you like to see used in the Harry/Hermione video?
HermyNymph
PS: Just wanted to let everyone know that one of my videos was selected as one of the top five videos entered into the VTM OnAir Special Edition GoF contest. My video was entered under the name "Aero Princess" and as far as I know (no confirmation yet), my video made it to second place! The video that was voted on was untitled and had no credits (because if it won, Aris would add his own credits). However, it is now titled "The Story Continues..." and it has my own credits and even a look at the Weird Sisters in the credits! I will make the modified video available for download soon so I'll edit this post with the download information! =)
