I mean he is not like his father he couldn't kill

i don't think Draco is necesarily evil. I definitely think he is misguided, selfish, and mean. But there's a difference between being bad and being evil. I think the end of book 6 is proof enough that he is not capable of true evils like murder. Plus, with Draco's upbringing, it's not completely his fault that he's such a cruel person.

Dude, of course he's evil.. he's spent his whole life with death eaters, his mother is evil, his father is evil.. I mean, c'mon!!

On the sixth book he proved us that Voldemort wanted him to make Draco a death eater, and I think trying to kill DD is enough. dry.gif

He's a death eater = He's evil
His dad is a death eater = He's evil
He tried to kill DD = He's evil
He hates Harry = He's evil
The DeathEaters entered to the castle with his help = He's evil

if you think he is truly evil then you have to also think that DUDLEY DUSRSLEY is evil as well they are identical in almost every way except a few i can think of

1 draco is a wizard
2 draco is a death eater by choice or force? and just acts like it was his choice to look bigger than he really is
3 they were both the only child of the parents (yes harry lived with the dursley but they never treated him as a son)(sorry that's more of a similarity )

he is just a bully and actting bigger than he his because he is a spoiled rich kid

the sixth book certainly was enough to turn my view of malfoy around. i dont think he is evil, he was just grown up with death eater parents, so naturally he would take a side with the death eaters at first. however, "acting bigger than he is because he is a spoiled rich kid" doesnt really cover it. at the begining of the book, when narsissa [spelling?] went to see snape, she said that Voldemort had given malfoy the task. so he couldnt exactly say "umm, no thanks" could he? and yes he was excited at first, but as i say, look at his family. and in the end he couldnt do what voldemort had told him to do - kill Dumbledore. snape had to do it for him. why? because he was humane enough not to be able to do it himself.

I do not think Draco is truly evil. I think that his parents are, and i think that Draco probably feels like he has to act evil for acceptance from his parents. sad.gif

I do think Draco is a bad person, but he is not a killer nor is he evil.

I don't think he is evil because he didn't kill dumbledore but i do not think that makes him a coward either i think that it was just as hard for him not as it would have been to kill him. i think that draco not killing dumbledore makes him a good person (maybe not completely good though).

Draco definitely has all the true Slytherin qualities - pureblood, ambition, cunning. He is a true Slytherin, but I wouldn't say that he is evil. Remember the fact that he hesitated, and couldn't kill Dumbledore? Yes, he is a Death Eater, but I don't think he wants to be. He couldn't even kill someone he hated. I'd say he was pressured into being a Death Eater, probably by his father. And now he's too scared to back out (Poor Draco sad.gif )

i put maybe becasue i am not really sure.

i am leaning more towards no though. i dont think he is truley evil. i think that it is just the way he was raised and thats his father in him. i think if under the right curcumstances that he can become evil.. but he is border line.

No I really don't believe Draco is as evil as he liked to make out to everyone. Why would we see him crying and unable to kill in the books if he wasn't going to switch sides eventually. It's down to Lucius, Draco was brought up to believe only purebloods are worth anything and that being in league with Voldemort is some kind of thing to look up to and something exciting. But in HBP he saw the reality of it, doing Voldemort's work isn't fun at all, it's hard and life threatening.
He could quite possibly be the redemption character in DH.
