Am I the only one who likes this one?

I think the Yule Ball was really cute with the two of them and how she meant the most to him and awwwwwwww. It's kind of like a Cinderella story type deal. Like, Hermione (not to say she's ungly of course) but she was plain, bushy <a href="http://www.ntsearch.com/search.php?q=hair&v=56">hair</a>, big teeth, bookworm, etc. but the big international Quidditch star only had eyes for her. It's just so cute.

Or is it just me...? ha

I do think Hermione and Krum are cute as well... I think it finally shows Hermione as a girl (besides her infactuation with Lockhart)...

although... I still like Ron and Hermione...

The problem is at their age four years is a huge difference. The other problem is she's the long-distance nature of their relationship. Also, I don't really think Hermione was all that interested in him beyond being friends.

I don't think that they will become a couple. I think that Hermione went out with him to maybe make Ron jealous. plus there age difference is alot and its a long distance relationship which dont usually work. Also he may be to busy with Quidditch andits just too many complications

lol I think Ron liked Fleur because she was part Veela actually...but I don't think you can like someone just to make someone else jealous, because then you don't really like them do you? you're just using them. so yes, maybe Hermione was using Krum...that's what i call a heroine...

Oh, I get it now. ha. Well, yeah maybe they did use Fleur and Krum...but I still think Ron only liked Fleur because she was part veela, and that's why all the guys liked her. Oh well.

I think Hermione and Viktor were genuinely fond of eachother. Krum was rather infatuated with her, while Hermione might have only had a small fancy for them. The two will surely remain friends. Krum is a bit older and is already getting a sense of the 'real world' outside of his school... but who can say what will happen if Krum still has feelings for Herminone, eh?

...Or what if he's the new D.A.D.A. professor? Wow... that never came to my mind until now... that'd be kinda nifty... he knows lots about the Dark Arts, I'd say, since that's what was said about what they were taught at his school... ooo...

I think that Viktor was a practise relationship for Hermione. I mean, she's a very intelligent girl, and he is the equivilant of a highschool jock...I don't think it was ever going to last. I mean, I'm sure Hermione liked him, but I think that Ron is a much more serious prospect.

I thought it was so sweet when Krum had chosen Hermione as the person he would miss most in GOF. He truly cares for her but I don't think Hermione feels the same. I think she still doesn't really know what love is because she as not had much experience, while Krum is older and probably has more. I also thought it was really sweet that Krum got jealous of Hermione's relationship with Harry.
I think Hermione is more intersted in Ron

I'd never thought about Krum being the new DADA teacher because he's such a huge quidditch star, but it could happen. I mean, he's coming back right? But I don't think there will be anything between him and Hermione besides friendship, as much as that disappoints me. Still not a Hermione/Ron fan, but trying to accept...accepting...accepting...accepting...

Okay, Harry has never had any romantic feelings for Hermione. The only girl it ever talk about him liking is Cho, which is over *cheers*. I agree with Ems. I thought it was sweet that Krum had been in the library that whole time cause he wanted to talk to Hermione. Though, I dont think hes that expierenced(cant spell). Look how long it took him to ask her out. And that Hermione would be the person he would miss the most, come on, that is so sweet. I did like him for liking Hermione. Though I still say her heart beats for Ron.

for all you know, everyone used everyone in this situation. viktor asked hermione to the yule ball to make fleur jealous. hermione accepted to make ron jealous. ron talked to fleur and swooned *in a male way i suppose lol* to make hermione jealous. fleur talked to ron to make viktor jealous.

there's too many holes in this theory though. fleur is part veela so ron couldnt help but to swoon, and that viktor and hermione wrote to each other even after book four so krum actually liked hermione.

my guess: hermione and krum are nothing but platonic friends. krum might have some feelings but doesnt dare to make a move, while hermione feels nothing.

wait, why were viktor and fleur trying to make each other jealous? sorry, but where did that come from? i don't remember them having any interest in each other...and i think viktor really did like hermione, she wouldn't have been the one in the lake who meant the most to him if he hadn't.

I really think she was trying to make Ron jealous because for some reason, girls are suddenly very appealing when they're taken.
That's why she was all smiles when Harry finally realized she was a girl that he could've taken to the Yule Ball!

oh, ok. i just was making sure i didn't offend anyone...i really do care about other people's feelings. and people from where i live are constantly being stereotyped. i live in Louisiana, US, and everyone thinks that we are all Cajun and live in swamps. well, we don't! we have malls, big movie theaters, really nice cars, we're well-educated, and the only variation of my language from northern people's language is that i say "y'all!"

I only liked Viktor's chaacter beacuse he had liked Hermione, plus he gets Ron jealous, hehe. 0_0

yeah, Viktor was pretty nice. and i really do like how Hermione made Ron jealous of him. he was a good guy, and an excellent Quidditch player (not that Hermione really cared about Quidditch *cough*Wonky Faints*cough*)
yeah, so Viktor was okay, i guess. not one of my favorite characters, though. i'm pretty indifferent when it comes to him.

Hey, I'm more southern than you are, Bella(whoops almost put ur real name lol) Uh, Well, maybe I'm just more southern in the way I talk. I definitely have a small accent, mostly when I'm around my family. And it's more of a texan accent than anything else, I think.

Anyway...I did love how jealous Ron got about Viktor. It maybe helped push him a little more into realizing how he feels for Hermione, though I doubt he's figured that out yet. Guys tend to be a little slow when it comes to emotions.

wow wow wow wow wow relax!!!! I posted that message about bulgarian.. but there is nothing wrong with bulgarian people.. or with the country. One of my friends has bulgarian family and they are all very nice and cool and it's a beautiful country. But it's too far away for hermione and viktor.... they haven't seen each other for 2 years now, they don't know each others world.. can a ship hold that? I don't think so.. and he's now.. 20, she is 16.. he's an adult.. she is a teenager.. he's a famous quidditchpalyer.. she's not. the differences are too big.

Well since I'm not really for this ship I probably shouldn't argue for it since I don't want it to happen, but I will anyway...

Distance doesn't matter if it's real love. They can overcome that, especially in the wizarding world where it's easier to travel.

And age really doesn't matter, at least not when it's only a few years and with them it's only 4 years anyway. When she's 20 and he's 24 it won't be such a big deal anyway.

But Ron is so much better for her, so that's all I have to say for right now.

I keep wondering if Viktor is going to come back into the story. Being such an important character in GOF, you would think he would have mroe to add to the series (other than being Ron's nemesis).

I don't think Hermione will conenct with him -- his character was not developed enough for that. Compare him to Luna Luvgood -- we really have no idea about his background or why he was so tight with Karkaroff.

I also don't believe that Viktor went to the library to be near Hermione; it's the other way around -- he was attracted to Hermione because he too was a bookworm.

That's an intersting theory but I don't agree with it. I do think he only went to the library because of Hermione.
And he wasn't that tight with Karkaroff, it was Karkaroff who was always all up on Viktor not the other way around. I don't think Viktor's a bad guy, ya know?
But I still don't think he and Hermione have a chance.
