I know one liners are very lame, but in my last post there were 4*s, and I just wanted to say I wrote ~C-R-A-P~, and not anything else. I don't oppose swearing, but I do prefer to save it till when its use will have lasting effect.

I relate myself to Hermione or Lily, because I'm a a good student, but I know that I have many flaws, and I try to fight them. And I can be bossy.

1. Turn a blind eye, unless it seems like particularly cruel bullying, or could cause injury.

2. Save for it myself. I'd feel bad asking someone else for a very expensive item. And wouldn't steal.

3. I liked him at the beginning of the series, but started to dislike Harry through all the angsty stuff. By the end of HBP though, I had a lot of respect for him.

4. Neville, I don't get things right a lot of the time.

5. Help them, if they'd do the same for me.

6. I most like that I can have a laugh, and haven't let go of my inner child. I dislike my shallowness, I give too much thought to how lots of money and posessions would make me happy.

Help them out as much as I can, friends and family mean much more to me than material things. If I've already helped them out as much as I can though, and now they're just being selfish, I'd have to tell them that I have to do other things, rather than just give all my free time/money to them.

Most: My talent for mischief and taking a walk on the wild side
Least: Well, sometimes I take a walk too deep into the wild side, for instance, it's commonly known amongst my friends that I will never back out of a dare, and because of that, I can get into some extremely sticky situations.

They have to love me enough to be my boyfriend. They have to prove that I can trust them as a friend, before even thinking about relationships.

Knock on a few doors until someone agrees to keep the kitten for a couple of hours. When I get back I takethe kitten home with me, and then do posters out to see who owns the kitten.

Being an author and a drama teacher, with a bakery by the sea.

I think that he is a normal person, not like these heroes which are perfect, he has good things but also bad things, attitudes that are not the best, but that is part of being normal. I just love him, I don't know, he lives very difficult situations and he gets through them the best way possible, he never gives up, I think that that is something very important, is what everyone should do when they're in a bad situation.

I don't know, I think that's the funny thing about me liking Harry Potter, is that I don't really relate myself to any of the characters. Because many people say that they like hp because they can relate to their characters, but that's not my case.

I'd help them anyway, if he/she is my friend I can't let him/her down.

End School with the highest score I can. Be acepted at the "Universidad Central de Venezuela" here in my country for the Odontology School and Medicine School. Travel and live in Ireland. Hello guys, I am new here, and I'm ready to be sorted, so here we go! :

1. I would tell them off, warn them about losing house points, but would'nt go any further than that

3. He's a nice person, very brave, a bit shy, which is cute. And in the 6th book he has a bit of a temper, which is only fair considering what he's been through

4. Probably Ron, because I am funny, not particularly clever but not stupid either. I am very loyal and trustworthy, and do have a large number of siblings like him (only stepsisters tho lol)

5. Help as much as I can, when it comes to my friends I don't care about the money and time lost really

Apologies for this little interuption but I have something important to say.

I am very, very tired of asking people to read the signature rules. It seems that most people are under the impression that when they are creating their signatures, the character limit that they see is the rule. IT IS NOT.

THE RULES STATE THAT YOUR SIGNATURE SHOULD BE NO LONGER THAN FIVE LINES OF TEXT AND CONTAIN IMAGES NO LARGER THAN 400 X 150 PIXELS.

In other words, your signatures should be no larger than mine. If they are, then you're breaking the rules.

Now I understand that we have many people here who are new and so aren't aware of the rules. So, I'm making it much easier for all newcomers and old hands alike to acquaint themselves with the signature rules. You can find them via the link in my signature to the Rules forum, which is directly above this one.

As pointed out in THIS NOTICE, which no one seems to be paying any attention to, the cause of oversized signatures in most cases are these quiz threads because people are trying to cram all their information into just a few lines. It isn't working.

Now I don't want to issue official warnings over something as trivial as this, and thus to make your lives easier, and to reduce the workload of the staff, I am TEMPORARILY locking all quiz threads to make sure that EVERYONE is aware of the rules and thus changes their signatures in accordance with them.

PLEASE DON'T COMPLAIN TO ME OR ANY OTHER STAFF MEMBER.

We are not ogres and we are not on power trips. The signature rules exist for two very good reasons.

1. To reduce the loading time of the site, particularly for members with slower connection speeds, we limit both the text and image sizes you may have in your signatures.

2. To cut down on bandwidth, making more available for what we all come here for - to talk about Harry Potter. It also ultimately helps to cut down on running costs. The less the server has to handle, the quicker the site loads for everyone, it's able to cope better and thus will last a little bit longer.

I'm sorry that this action has become necessary, but as I said, no one is paying any attention to the other notice I posted and this seemed the best way to reach everyone. I have no desire to warn anyone over something as trivial as this when it is so easily fixable.

IN SHORT, IF YOUR IMAGES ARE LARGER THAN MY SIGNATURE, IT'S TOO BIG. CUT IT DOWN.

Hello! This is exciting!! Hehe! Okay, here goes...

1. I discourage it. Not sound hermione-ish, but they're probably doing it cause they have some sort of issue with the other house (or are simply perpetuating rivalries) and in that case, should display some maturity and take their energies out somewhere else. Someone innocent and harmless can get involved.

2. I work and save my money and if I still come up short, I attempt to barter or wait for it to come on sale.

3. He's wonderfully human. He has his days but most of the time I am in admiration of his abilities. He displays alot of character in his loyalty, courageousness, and compassion for the world he lives in and that is something many people don't put enough emphasis on these days.

4. Sirius. I am the oldest in my family (there are four of us) so I always have a need to protect and look after my loved ones. As well, I am the unconventional one in a very traditional family, so doing things for me and my own terms is important, much like it is for him.

hey, i'm new here, and it was the first thread i read in the "if you're new and are totally lost and confused and don't know where to go" thread, so i decided to get sorted while i'm at it


1. I'd tell him to stop what he is plotting, because it s disrespectful to the one against whom he's plotting the prank, and if he still doesn't give up, i would tell the house teacher or the headmaster.

2. I take little jobs, save money so that when i have enough money, i'll be able to buy what i want.

3. I think Harry Potter is a truly courageous wizard, who is honnest, has a good sens of justice, knows what is good and what is bad, and most especially loves his friends as if it were his family.

4. I guess i'd be more like Hermione, first because i'm a girl (obviously), and because i'm pretty good at school ok maybe not as good as her, but i'm still a bit better than average) and i like to work for what i want. I am really determined like her, and i guess i have a bit of courage in myself, maybe not as much as harry, but i still have some in me, just like Hermione. But i'm only courageous if it's to do the right thing. And i'd do anything to help my friends.

5. Well i offer as much help as i can, without killing myself or going bankrupt in the process, but i'd still do the best i can. And if it doesn't work, i'd be there to comfort him/her (even though i'm not really good at it, but that doesn't mean i wouldn't try.

6. um... i guess i like the fact that i'm honest, and i try to be as generous as i can, but still, i'm often depressed (well not to the max, but i do have some fits) because of various personal things in my life.

7. Honesty. One thing i can't stand is people saying stuff behind someone (or my) back without telling them; i'd rather face the truth than lead a seemingly happy life, when in fact everything around you is ****. But i doen't like when people lie to me, that's why i'mm looking for honesty.

8. hm... well i know a few people that either love animals or want to be vets, so i guess i'd take the cat to either one of them, the one that's closest to the pet store or to the meeting.

9. spiders, and all these kind of creepy crawlers.

10. Envy. i wouldn't do anything to anybody because they have something i want, but i'd certainly envy them and wish i were them and all that stuff. so yeah, envy.

11. hm... well i really like acting (and not because of the harry potter movies). i've wanted that since i was a kid, but i never actually told anyone, so the only thing that comes close to my dream is that i did (almost every year, ALMOST) act in school plays, and i usually got a pretty big role too, so yes: each year is more and more exciting.

12. Well besides the actors that are on the harry potter films (because they got so darn lucky! grrr why can't i live in London? see? there's the envy thing again!) i guess i really look up to my dad, because he's really intelligent, he has a very god job, and considering his history (which i will not share with you,unfortunately), it's a wonder he made it this far, got married and had 3 kids without giving up (or even killing himself!)

13. well, um... isn't that kind f the same as my dreams? actress... i want to be an actress...

14. Well since it's a play, i'd probably go to the play, but if it was something else, it would depend on who my friend invited to the party, what kind of party is it... well it would depend on different liuttle factors, so i can't really choose.

15. Cystic Fibrosis and UNICEF. UNICEF because well my mom has sensiblized me on the subject ever since i was a kid, and Cystic Fibrosis for personal reasons.

16. Freeze time (well i don't really know if it's a superhero power, but it's because i used to watch Charmed, and i thought freezing time was so cool! ) Because my life is really pressured because of my lack of time...

17. Rollercoaster (if that's the question...) the one where your legs are hanging: i LOVE that ride!!! otherwise, i also like waterrides and haunted houses.

18. Oh god... i like them all i think... except for corny romantic comedies/chick flick-ish... i think most of the movies in that genre are just plain stupid. And there are some dramas that really put me to sleep, but otherwise i enjoy all other genres.

19. I'd stop affiliating with that someone, unless i've been working with them for a lkong time and never failed me so far: then i'd know i could put my trust in them, but otherwise, i would definately break the bond.

20. Ok i don't really get the question, so i'll just say that i hate people who brag a lot, especially if i'm not good at what they say they are good at(when they are not necessarily), then it would just make me feel lower, and even if they keep on going even if they see it's putting me down, then i'd really hate them (in the heat of the moment, maybe not the next day).

21. I'd call the firefighters straight away (see that's where you see i'm not THAT courageous: normally, courageous people like Harry would go in the house and save the people inside and save the day, but i'm not that courageous).
