if i got the part i woudl just end up annoying the rest of the cast by asking to many questions and laughin at me own jokes... i just realised how sad i really am!

You don't sound big-headed because from what you've said you're a really good actress and you deserve to show them this!

yeah and at least they know we are hard working beause we send out letters to auditions and to get auditions and stuff showing how determind and how much time we spend working on this stuff! with other people theyre like yeah my agent will do it for me or yeah i go to acting school and theyve asked the casting crew to come so i can audtion! they hardly do anything in trying to get an auditon

just imagine how hard we will work if we got the part!

I know, its like they could count on us to work just by looking at how hard we've worked to actually try and get an audition! We're not just laying back having other people do it for us we're actually putting our all into it, and not jsut for us either cause if we got them to do open castings then thousands of girls will have the opportunity

Awww Lav, you're no being big headed. Its just like when a used to dance. When our dance school would go to some compation our dance teacher would tell us all to think, i'm the best, i'm going to win! And i've got to say it really works and helps boost you're confidence. Lolz maybe i'm being bigheaded. So girls when we go to the audition just think posative.

Omg a would really hate if someone took the credit and won the part after a told them. Taht would really annoy me lol. Am not even tellin ma closest friends. If i got the part of Lavender i would actually jump over the moon i would be so happy! Even if i got through the first stage i would be extatic! i wouldnt care about hate mail either, i would read it, probably not take it into consideration as like you guys have said it would be from huge Rupert Grint fans who only wanted the part for themselves to kiss him and to be famous! Ridiculous really!
I mean, i know Rupert isnt ugly and i wouldnt be like "ewww gross" kissing him but like you guys said, its hadrly one of the main reasons why i want this part sooo much!

I have not told ayone at all about me wanting to auditon for this part and stuff except my mum. When the audition dates come out though (if they come out! ) i will tell my dad as he will be the one taking me to where ever the auditions are! lol
I am not telling my friends though, they just wouldnt understand. But yer i definatly agree that if someone got to further stages than me in the auditions or even got the part, i would be so upset and annoyed and like Lav said, i wouldn't be able to talk to them for a while!

Lol i think we all feel the same! Because we know that everyone on here wants it as much as we do, we all send letters or try and get information somehow and we all put so much work into doing this that it has to be one of us who gets it, we deserve it the most because it means so much to us, not just get famous or to kiss Rupert or anything like that but well just because we love HP, we love Lav and it would mean soo much to us!

I totally know!! none of my friends would take it seriously and if i don't get the part i will be devastated (even though i know its probably going to end up like that) but they wouldn't have any sympathy for me or anything, they really wouldn't understand what it means to me to do this!!

I wouldn't tell my friends even if I got the part, I would just say I'm going to visit a sick relative in austrailia or something for however long it would take for me to film and then go and see the film with them when it comes out and then they would look at me and scream 'oh my god thats you!' I wouldn't want them knowing until they found out on their own because i wouldn't want to much of a fuss, I would only let my family know if i did get the part. And all of you of course, but not my friends, because then people would just try and make friends with me because I would be in one of the HP films..and I don't want fake friends to be honest

i really hope they hold auditions because i really really want to get this part... oh and by the way i sent the letter today, hopefully i will be getting a letter back soon! it probably won't have any audition information in it, but it will have information about who the casting director is and what address to write to, maybe they will say if they are considering open auditions, but they don't really confirm anything yet

Though, I've always imgained her with dark hair (sorry I should have said this in my last post) and quite pale skin with really uhh whats the word...sharp, striking features...I always thought she should be skinny, but not too skinny as she should have some curves aswell, this would make her look sexier than Hermione and this would make Hermione jealous when Ron first starts sucking face with Lav. I always thought she should have either really dark eyes or really light eyes just to kind of make them stand out and almost pop!

Lolz well thanks for the opinions anyway. And they could always change whatevers not right anyway. If a need to change my eye colour then that'll be no problem as they can use contacts. Which am fine with because i've been wearing contacts for nearly two years now and they could always dye my hair hehe and as for pale skin hen am naturlay pale anyway the pic i have foundation on.

i imagine lav to have blonde hair below the shoulders, curvy, but slim hour glass figure. i imainge her to be shorter then hermione just so it shows how much municulation she can have over people! it also makes her and ron look awkward and not right together because well he's so tall and she's really short, (though most tall guys go for short girls anyway) and he's suppose to be with hermione anyway

Yeah, I think she's intelligent aswell. I think she has also got to look inttelligent too, she's got to be pretty, and giggly, but totally not your typical bimbo. I imagined Lavender with light brown hair, or dark blonde. I think she should have large blue eyes, but the rest of her features should be quite small. She should be slim, I'd say Uk size 10/12 about 5'5''/6'', but at the same time she needs to have 'all the right curves in all the right places' (Captain Jack Harkness, Torchwood). She has to look innocent, but not that young, difficult I know, but she can't look too old or it wouldn't loook right, nor can she look to un-innocent, if you get my drift, she should look slightly young for her age, but not too much.

That's just my opinion though, maybe someone should write to JK and ask her what Lavender looks like, just say that you wanted to get a picture of ehr in your head before the film come out and replaces your Lavender with an actress. If you don't she might think you're wanting to know so that you can audition (shhh, she doesn't need to know that's what we're really planning to do) and end up not telling you anything about her physical description. (I think we've analysed her characeter enough to get her personality and stuff).

hmm well i personally imagined with brown hair about the same length as you said Lav but alot curvier than Hermione (mabye like a size 12 ?) but alot taller than Hermione but sice we have already had a long discussion over the height of Lavender, lets not get into it again!
But like people have said, as for hair and eye colour its not that important as they can dye hair now (obviously!) and put in fake coulored contacts.

I think i might write a letter this weekend so i can send it off an hopefully have a reply by next week. Im gunna ask about open auditions and weather there is a ctually any chance of them holding them!

ive already written to JKR asking her what lav looked like, but all i got was a reply saying that she doesn't have anything to do with auditions, it was like helpful!

Anyway the DY address is the same as the casting one just have DY name at the top so they know who to give it to

I don't think she should look innocent, i think she should have innocency about her, but i think she knows more then she lets out! i think she should have that knowing look about her, but innocent as well as if she knows something, but she's not going to let it out... because she knows that ron and hermione are meant to be together. I feel she should be shorter than hermione, maybe wear heels to make her taller but ultimatly be shorter so she is able to wear heels and tower over hermione, but when she doesn't she ahs that powering glare that make people do whatever she wants them to do. She's a nice person, but when she's in a battle abuot boys she will fight to the end and when she 'loses' her confidence and control is broken and she has nothing left, but the small person she really is... being small just gives her that fragile and innocent feeling about her and when she breaks up with ron she wears flats and stuff just to look even more broken and small and vulnerable

I think Lavender should come across as being vry strong and confident so that for all the people who haven't read the books it will be such a surprise when we see her completley break down after Ron dumps her!

well it's like at first she seems shallow because she had no interest in ron until he was in the battle at DoM. but then with all the situation with hermione and ron you start seeing how vulnerable she actually is, and then when they break up, it's like it's not just her boyfriend she's lost, but her confidence and the feeling of love. I mean she is kind of getting her own back on hermione, but i think she was also looking for someone to love her and be her comforter and protector. It's hard, but she has more depth to her then she lets out and you have to kind of show some while consealing even more, even when her guard is down she is hiding still her inner most self that is smaller and more vulnerable still

Yeah when I was reading the book I noticed this too... I expected Lav to be okay about it seeing as her and Ron's relationship never really seemed to be real. But I was shocked to see how she reacted to it, When I read the book a second time I realised she can't just be sad that she's not with Ron anymore, and so concluded that it had a knock on effect of the growing confidence she had experienced when theyw ere going out, I think that it was really positive for her because she was getting noticed (come on we hadn't really heard too much about her before) and now thats kind of been taken away from her and she's back where she started which is somewhere she doesn't want to be.

its like, she has had her time in the lime light and now that it is over, she cant live without it and doesnt no what to do. Shes like really depressed and doesnt no what to do with herself. And because she sees ron around school all the time she cant get over him easily and regain her confidence. If she could, she would go back to her normal proud self but that barrier has been hurt and she wont be able to return to her original self.

he's not getting back at hermione he is gettin back at Ginny, but she doesn't know this. If anything she may think that ron is using her to get Hermione's attention. She starts to like him after he has proven himself loyal and thing so it's like she thinks she's got the best one! but then when he just keeps going off with hermione, she (like everyone else in the world) knows that he like her and she likes him! she doesn't like it because she wants ron. So it's the rejection of someone she likes going off with someone else.. i mean how would you feel if you were left by someone so they can go off with someone else! i mean it really hurts especailly if they do it right in front of you and when they see you looking hurt, they turn their back. if it didn't shatter her confidence it would be like she was made of stone! when she starts going out with ron she lets her gaurd down for him, they're going out, but when they break up it's like she can't hide anything from him anymore because he knows what's behind the screen, so in the end she's confused and hurt and very vulnerable.

Yeah, 'cause at the point he starts going out with her Hermione has't done anything, oh wait, she snogged krum, so i guess he's getting back at both of them! i would only tell people if i got past the first round because if i told people before everyone will find out and then i don't get through i have to tell my friends and then people i don't even like that i didn't get through and then i'll be looked down on by them... you get what i mean. So i'm only telling my family about the open ones and then i'll tell more people if i get through. Also because i don't want someone else to go because i told them and then get the part, if they wanted it so bad they would be looking it up for themselves!

Yeah, I see what you mean, but I think I would tell some people, but only if I knew I could trust them not to tell anyone. I would tell my 2 best friends and my teachers at school, they all teach some part of performing arts so they'd be really supportive of me, and could probably give me some audition tips! What I'm really worried about is the age range, I'm 15 and a half, which, seeing as Lavender is only 16/17 in the books seems like an ok age, but considering Ruperts age they might not go under 16, I would be so disappointed if that happened. I've emailed Leavesden with the address you gave me Xx LaV lAv 2K7 xX thanx, I'm going to wait a week or 2, and then if I haven't got a reply then I will phone them. I've also written to them, and to David Yates. I just hope the phone doesn't have a fixed charge thing, it would be kind of obvious because we're on broadband so most of our calls are freeish, but if we suddenly ended up with like 20 pound extra then I would be so dead!

Me too! I really want to at least find out when they are so all this revision and stress has something at the other side. Being sure I can go to auditions would give me an insentive to work hard because it would be a treat afterwards!

yea i just have writen exams and drama practical so all i need to do is revise, but it's annoying because we all have the extra worry of auditions as well, it's just not nice on us and how we do in the exams!

I know! They're just making us distracted about auditions and then we wont revise as much (I haven't even started and my exams start thursday ) and we'll do rubbish in our exams and be really upset when it comes to auditions and then we wont even get through that because we'll be to depressed.

I hope that auditions are after DH comes out, for me I'll be back from holidays and all exam hype will be gone, but also like all the hype from the film and the book will have died down so its probably easier for them to start casting then anyway.

By the way, just a question..do you reckon it'll matter if you wear glasses? Because if they have auditions I'm planning on not wearing my glasses....but I'm kind of blindish without them But they may not want to cast someone with glasses....mind you I suppose they could get contacts for people if they really didn't want glasses worn. I kind of answered my own question there but what are your opinions on it??

yer i no GCSE's are so pressuring, i havnt got my main ones this year thinkfully but i am doing a science one this year coz i am doing this new course thing... very annoying!

as for auditions, i think they should tell us before the new film and new book come out coz otherwise i dont see how they will have enough time to get it all sorted out if you get me.. ?

and as for glasses, i dont think it will really matter but if you feel it would lower you chances couldnt you wear contacts or dont you have them? but like you said, they could use contacts anyways so its not a big problem!

i dnt think glasses will matter, if they don't want you to wear glasses but think u'll suit the part they will ask you to come back and give you contacts!

as for auditions it would be good to hold them before the relase of the book and film, but knwoing them they will go for it in august, just to have the least amount of people possible

I think for convinience (i don't think I spelt that right...) they should tell us dates and stuff before the film and book but have the auditions after, that way we'll have like at least 2 weeks to prepare as well which will be better than finding out like a week or so before auditions. I just wish they would tell us soon, it's so annoying having to wait, especially seeing as I would have to sort out how I would get there too, I'd probably have to take the train because I doubt my parents would drive me.
