I think its rquite funny the little popping sound that Davey Jones makes with his lips !!! I hate it when Bootsrap Bill has to slash/whip Will its soooo sad and looks really painful!!! And I think Davey Jones made a better villain than Barbossa because he is a lot more evil !!!

I like Barbossa better, he's not completely covered in CGI like Davy Jones, so he just feels more real to me I suppose as a villian. And he's a great foil for Jack, verse Davy Jones who's just a villian. Even though I think it's interesting that there's two villians in the second movie, Beckett as well as Davy Jones.

Davy Jones was scaring, well at least for me. He had all these supernatural characteristics. I really don't like sea creatures so he disgusted me a little bit. But i was more afraid of him because it is hard destroying him. Plus, he had great power, which made him a greater vilain. As for Barbossa, i agree with Seni. He seemed more realistic, his face, his looks, his behavior. The only supernatural about him was the fact that he could not die. He is a more interesting character since he seemed to switch sides. But a less important vilain.
I have to add here that i feel a little pity for Davy Jones. Remember that heart story? It was really moving, he took his heart out for that girl...

But I feel bad for Barbossa as well in the first movie. Image not being able to touch anything, feel nothing, it's a very scary thought of just being stuck in your own Hell for so long.
I do credit John Knoll on his brillance with the look of Davy Jones, but I don't find him as cool as Barbossa.

Yes, it was very scary and when i think about it, i feel my breath taken...But he could get out of it. That's what he tried to do after all. He had a choice. But Davy Jones' situation was irreversible...That's what makes him seem more scary to me...

The argument my brother had is that Barbossa was more scary because he was human. It seemed more scary to him that Barbossa was able to be so cruel, and you could see the human characteristics in him. He was really without a heart, and since he was human, it made him that much more scary. You can sort of expect that from "mollusk man" or any other badly deformed villian, but since Barbossa was human, that's what gave him a really frightening air.

Davy Jones is also scary though. I mean...he has a squid face. And he collects souls. I'd say that's pretty darn close to being the devil right there. No heart? Hmm. I understand why he lost his heart, which gives him depth, and that's why I like him, but I also think it's quite terrifying--the thought of having to give your soul to a man and work on a ship for sooooo long. Davy Jones is pretty ruthless, especially when it comes down to taking souls and asking fathers to whip their own sons.

Well, I'm glad I'm not the only one! I started laughing out loud in the theatre when he did that. People must have thought I went a little crazy.

Yeah i think i know what you mean with Davey Jones you couldn't tell wether he was getting angry or not. Which is a bit like Voldermort in GOF with his mood swings. So i defiently think Davey JOnes was more scary well i wasn't scared really but you know he is the creeepiest in my opinon.

Barbossa is a good villian though. Well he is a good guy now.

Me i think Tia Dalma must have convicned him some how. Or it could be helping them will help him in some way if you understand me. Like he will get something out of helping them.

Yeah maybe they will give him some gold in return or maybe they will just promise to leave him alone for the rest of his life. But their must be something good in it for him unless he has changed .

Hm...i have a theory on that. Ok, Tia Dalma predicts the future somehow, doesn't she? What if she saw Jack's death and brought back Barbossa to save him? Barbossa will have to help Jack because that was the condition with which Tia revived him. So, it is his obligation or Tia will kill him again...Which means that he didn't really switch sides, he just pays the price of being alive again...

That is a good theory alkisti . Maybe that i why Barbossa is being so nice to Tia Dalma, because maybe one wrong move and she will kill him. Well I think it is a very good way to explain why Barbossa would help to save Jack.

I don;t think either are that scary, I havn't been scared of anything I saw in on the tv or in a movie since the Gentlemen from Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and that was when I was 11, 7 years ago, in other words.

I think that all Barbossa that Barbossa looks after is himself, and cares little about anyone else, he'll aline himself with Elizabeth and Will and them because it serves his proposes, he'll only be with them all long as it serves him.

It has me confused when they will bring it out i have resorted to watching Dead man's chest trailers and pretending them to be world's end trailers.

I'm seriously considering of writing a script of my own and making it a movie inside my head. I don't think DMC's trailers can help, unless i find some clues in them for POTC3... Or unless...i accidentaly bump into Johny Depp (yeah as if it is very possible) or Orlando Bloom and convince them to reveal the plot to me. At this point, i actually don't know which is more impossible. Watching the trailer in a few days or bumping into one of the actors?

Well I really like Elizabeth she is one of my favourite in POTC !!! I also like her boyish characteristics, probably because I am a bit of a tomboy myself . I think its funny in Curse of the Black Pearl when she is trying to get the display sword thing that sits above the fire and she couldn't get it

I just want to throw in here that Pirates just won an Academy Award/Oscar for Visual effects. It's competition wasn't that great....but still. Davy Jones and his crew really paid off then, eh? I thought the graphics were awesome in Pirates...don't know about you guys but I was really impressed, so I definitely think that the movie deserved that award.

It won because Jonh Knoll is a frick'n genius! I think that Geogre Lucas's greatest achievement was starting ILM (international light and magic) because it completely changed the way movies are made.
What do I think of Elizabeth, I think she's very complexe, and a great tricker and that's why she's my favortie character.

Cool DMC won award well they deseve it the special effexts in Dead Man's chest were reslly something amazing. The Kraken was great. The battles more intense and the characters better.

I love each of the three main characters. But i'm torn between Orlando and Johnny. I can't figure out who is the dreamiest. I love Orlando, because he is the damsel saving hero. But i also love Johnny because he is funny and complex. I can't wait until the last movie comes out. But my favorite will always be Dead Man's Chest. (Because of how creepy Davy Jones looks!)
