This is the best movie I have ever seen!! I love the trailer so much! I loved it all of it, especialy the clip under the main trailer, where Jack repeats what Barbosa says, and doesn't, at first, realsie Barbosa is actually asking him what he is doing!

As for the merchandise question, I have two official movie posters, the kind that are at the threatre, and also various other pictures. I have a Jack Sparrow bobble-head that my mom got with the special silver edition DVD that I got for Christmas. I also have authentic coins from the first movie. The ones that lay all over the cave floor on the Isla de Muerta. They are amazing. And that's it.

My favorite is still CotBP. I think Jack was portrayed better in that one. In the second one I felt like they dumbed him down for comic relief. In the first one he was genuinely funny because he had wit. The second one he was just...funny for the sake of it. I think his wit was much better in the first one. And I just like the first one in general. The second one was amazing, but the first one is the best so far.

I think that since Beckett has Davy Jones' heart, thanks to that slimeball Norrington, Beckett has a lot of control over the seas. I think that's what it was...I can't recall what the deal was with Beckett getting Davy Jones' heart. Looks like I need to watch the movie more often. I know the first one like the back of my hand considering I typed the entire script....

Another thing I liked of the trailer was Barbosa explaining about the gathering of the four pirate lords and Jack saying "And I owe them all money" at the end, priceless.

That was so hilarious. I first watched that on the bloopers on the bonus stuff. I laughed so hard.

Yeah, i can't wait either! The trailer was simply great, i loved the sequence of scenes it had and how the music fit the images so amazingly! It was very well done!
As for the bloopers, haha, they were hilarious! It must have been so much fun palying at this movie...Too bad we couldn't be there!

I see what your saying, actually. The first one was intended, as we all know, as a stand-alone, so they obviously must have wanted to get the true essence of Jack through in one film, not knowing they would be doing s triliogy.(sp?)

God, I love Pirates of the Caribbean. I saw Dead Man's Chest at the midnight showing, and I enjoyed it so much that I saw it four more times. Heh.

Anyway, I watched the trailer for At World's End, and I'm a little worried about the strange...pirate ninjas. Not that ninjas aren't comletely awesome, but, I just think when a trilogy starts to add things to make the movies more interesting, they become ruined. And, they showed Jack throughout the WHOLE trailer. I just thought it was a bit of a mystery as to how we were going to see him again [Everyone knows he'll be back, but, it should have been a little more subdued]

BUT, otherwise, the tralier looked quite awesome indeed. 'Specially when Barbosa and Jack are sword fighting, and the music goes to the clang of the swords. Awesome.

er... I don't actually remember that part from trailer, but I think that the ninjas were added because they want to show that pirates Jack and Barbosa are gathering are all over the world, not just from Carribean. And as many people connects ninjas with Japan, I think it's a good way to show it.
For Jack,I too thought it was weird at first.But as you said, everyone already knew that he was coming back, there was no doubt about it.Maybe the director and screenwriters just don't want use so much time on it, but concentrate on other stories instead.

I have hard time thinking which one was better, CotPB or DMC, as they both have good and bad sides. But if I had to choose one, I think it would be DMC. I think it has better plot,because it takes more time develop,and you have to watch it couple of times, before you can understand what actually happens.



I agree that Jack was better in CotBP. But if you look all the characters, I think that they became more deeper in DMC, and it wasn't so much one man's show anymore. That's why I have to say that DMC was better with characters too.
One of the things I fear in At Worlds end, is that with so many characters and some new faces, the characters start to repeat themselves, like happened with Jack, and it's only cool effects then. But let's hope it doesn't happen.

I agree about Jack, he seemed much more "one up" on everyone in the first one, he seemed weaker, as a character and his intellagence, in the second, weaker than Elizabeth, anyway. But Elizabeth, not Jack, is the protaganist in the first place, wacth the commentry of your first movie.
But I get the feeling that AWE will be better than DMC, but not as good as the first.

Actually I feel they'll add to the whole feeling of this is the final battle, this is THE most important battle for the pirates. All the pirates around the world have joined together to beat the East India Trading Company and its supporters, ect. But I do see your point, of course.

I think that it's not over doing it, because I think that they really were going for an epic feel to this whole thing. I get it, a fight for pirate kind. I think it's pretty cool actaully. Ninja pirates, I don't know why but the thought of that is funny.
I was thinking about what I said before, that Elizabeth has the one up on Jack, and has since the first movie. She reminds of Kate (from Lost) a bit in that way, she doesn't look like much, but she's very dangerous.

While I was in Orlando Florida on vacation I went on the pirates ride! The one with Davey Jones. It was so awesome! I only got to go on it once though because it was getting late. I have pictures of the ride I just haven't put them on the computer yet. Does anyone want to see some pictures from the ride? PM me if you do. Anyways.. Those websites are awesome! Well, I saw somewhere that Keira Knightley does not want to be in it anymore, but Johnny Depp says he would so Pirates 28 if the scripts were good enough.

And Orlando doesn't want to do anymore of them either. So Will and Elizabeth are out, as well as the story line that started with the first movie. So if a forth is made it's likely to be a spin-off with Captain Jack doing what he does.

I would be majorly annoyed, to not know how the story would end. But then again, I could make up my own ending, though it would probally be far from what Ted and Terry imagine. I think that in the end Barbossa or Jack will get the Pearl, the other the Flying Ductman, and Will and Elizabeth...I don't know. I see them happy and together in the end, but it's hard to decide what type of life they'll have.

Like i said i would protest make up a girly tantrum even if i am a boy. It should scare the makers into making another one.
