Ok, I am pretty sure that there is not another thread on this... Well anyway the following is the topic of this thread: If you were Harry Potter or another student at Hogwarts, and you were in posession of an Invisability Cloak, what mischief would you cause? Sense of Humor is welcome here!

To start everyone off here is the things I would like to do if I was Harry Potter:

1. Right away I would throw the cloak on and run over and kick Malfoy as hard as I could. Then run away laughing...

2. I would trudge in mud outside and walk all over the floor that Filch just mopped right in front off his face!

What would you do?

Hey! Nice topic Horace Slughorn! If I had an invisability cloak, there are lots of things I would love to do. First, i would spy on my enemies, then black mail them mwahaha. And then I would probably be hungry so i would sneak into the Hogwarts kitchen and take some food. How fun

1. I would put on my invisibility cloak on and i would attack Malfoy, Crabbe and Goyle by secretly throwing dungbombs at them!

2. I would put it on during dinner and take away someone's dessert.

3. I would do like what Harry did in PoA, and take away someone's candy at Hogsmeade.

4. I would try to prank Peeves before he pranks me!

If you walked all muddy in front of Filch, wouldn't he catch you?

Then maybe I will just do it right behind is back...

I would sneak into the potions office when no one is looking and mix all of the potion ingredients around... hehehe
Then there will be a lot of explosions coming from the potions classroom that day...

Hmmm... If I had an invisibility cloak at Hogwarts, I would probably use it to go into the teachers lounge. I always wonndered what my teachers were saying about me, and others, and it would be really cool to find out their real opinions. I would also hang out in the common rooms so that I could pick up some gossip. Lastly, and most nerdily, I would probably use it to get into the library after hours to catch up on reading! hehe

Haha these are all good ideas... Come to think of it... I have not even thought about the Teacher's Lounge! I guess if I had the chance I would try to pull off a trick there

I got another one! (yay!) I would put on the invisability cloak and copy off of someone else's homework while they are doing it in the common room... hehe

And then at night, I would probably sneak around the castle after hours. That would always be kinda fun, and it would be neat to have a lot of tme to explore the mysterious castle.

It would be very fun! for example I would:

-Mess with people I don't like
-Mess with teachers
-Mess with people who mess with other people
-Use it to walk around the castle by night
-Pull it over my head when I'm in bed so people think I'm gone and don't wake me up
-Sneak to the kitchen and make friends with the elves there
-Go visit Hagrid whenever I want to
-Go to the library and read prohibited books

That's about it...I guess, having that cloak would mean unlimited options!

Nice thread. if i were harry and i had an invisiblity cloak i would:
-put i ton and torture malfoy
-then mess up the potions classroom
-more torture towards snape lol
-sneak around the castle and find out what the teachers are up to
-try and trick the ghosts,poltergiets,etc. especially peeves and th bloody baron

Exellent thread, the possibilities are so endless I'm surprised Harry hasn't used the cloak more often... now, let's see, I'd...

- Cause trouble around Filch by doing things that are obviously done by an invisible person, then watch as he blames Peeves.
- Visit the White Tomb and cry over Dumbledore...
- Camp out in Honeyduke's attic for a few days, eating all the newest kinds of candy that hasn't been brought down for sale yet... hehehe
- Pretend to be Voldemort by running around and shouting in a scary voice.

I can certainly see the urge to use it to attack Malfoy being a predominant idea .
I think that I would use it for other things however. If you were in Harry's place and knowing that you are going to have to face Voldemort wouldn't it be a wise idea to try and get into places thatyou could learn more than your current year allows? I would use the cloak to get into classes for higher years, into the midst of teacher discussions, into Hogsmeade around old wizards etc. I would try and put it to use in preparing myself for what is to come.

Oooh! If I had an invisibility cloak, I'd follow Snape around while he roams the dungeons at night. And then... I don't know, I'll probably just do a lot of exploring... and maybe visit the Room of Requirement as often as possible.

And yeah, I'd probably kick Malfoy's arse.

Sneak up behind someone and push them down the stairs, hopefully Malfoy. Spike the drinks in the Kitchen to make everyone sleep and then sneak into dormitories and cut off peoples hair and draw on their faces...And also kick Mrs Norris and fill Filch's room full of banned items. Then go into the library and perhaps learn some jinxes and cast them on people in the corridors.

get free stuff at Hogsmeade...haha just kidding, but maybe just grab some free candy

and mess with the people i hate.

and sneak around Hogwarts late at night if im bored and dont want to go to sleep. hehe and sneak into the kitchen if i was hungry for a midnight snack.

oh and also sneak into the restricted section of the library...i wonder why those books are restricted anyways...

I would run around pulling nasty people's hair!And I would walk into the 3 broomsticks and throw drinks on people who irritate me ...

I would then sneak off to the candy shop in hogsmeade and grab myself a few sweets cos I would have had a hard day at making mischief!!

I would then track down malfoy and play around with him by sticking my lolly in his hair and pick his hand up and place his finger in his nose!Sabotage!!Moo hahahaha ....*cough cough...pulling self together*

I would then run up to hogwarts and go to the staff room and flick the teachers cloaks and drop glasses.Pick up some of the work that they might be marking and throw that around

Then, late in the night I would go to the broom cupboard and go for a little night flight!I might even stop by in snapes store room and mix his potions up...

Anyway...I would probably say weird things to people I don't like to make them think that they're going crazy...that'd be cool...maybe push them down a flight of stairs...

Wow I would make such a mess that Filch would curse my name (actually, he would curse an anonymous student ) for long. I don't know what exactly would I do but I can assure you that Snape would have many sleepless nights and a messy classroom .

I would somehow get a rope tied on a chandelier(sp?) wrap the invisibility cloak tightly around me and swing around throwing ink bottles at the students below! MUA-HA-HA-HA!!!

I would steal all the things that Filch banned and confinscated(sp?) from the other students and attack him and Snape with all those things!

I'd switch all the labels in Snape's private stock of potion ingredients.
I'd watch all the Slytherin Quiddich practices then report thier strategies to my team captain.
Just to name a few..... I'll think of some more, I'm sure!

I would go on my broom and while Gryfindor is practising(sp?) I would catch the Quaffle and pretend that it was still flying. When someone goes and tries to get it, I would lift if up. HEHE. They would think it was jinxed.

I would steal the 'Hand of Glory' from Malfoy. (he has it in the sixth book.)

I would sew Gryffindor Badges over Crabbe and Goyal's Slytherin Badges and get Malfoy to yell at them.

Well anyway, in Half-Blood Prince, Madam Pince was shocked at the sight of Harry's Advanced Potions Making Book.

This would just tempt me to go into the librarary when Madam Pince is sleeping and tear out random pages in random books. Then on the pages that remain, I could doodle on! Hooray!

If I had an invisibility cloak, I would sneak around Hogwarts and play tricks on Mrs. Norris and her master.(Also certain teachers who might bear a resemblance to either Snape or Slughorn!). But most of the time, I would steal food from the kitchens!

i would get free stuff at Hogsmeade, like honeydukes, free butter beer. stuff like that. then i would go to Hogmeade when ever. i woudl cover myself with it and then go fly on jy broom when ever. and then i would just go scare people like poke them and then like do stuff like that it would be awesome

Ooo If i had an invisability cloak I would put Veritaserum into Malfoys pumpkin juice then get people to ask him really embarrassing questions like "Do you pick your nose" and "How many times have you let off gas today" ahaha Then I would probably like most people pay HoneyDukes a visit and help my self to goodies. After that I would start a food fight at dinner and then sneak into Professor Snapes office and cover it with roses and hearts telling to come back to his room. Eventually if he goes to his room he will not see me sitting on his bed spying on him all night.

I would use the invisibility cloak to sneak up on people I dont like and scare them or use a funny spell on them - not something that would really harm them because that would be cowardly but something along the likes of making toenails grow fast like Harry discovered from the Prince. I would also like to sneak around and do important things at night.

I thinka Id sneak up on all the slytherins ( apart from draco of course ) and tie theyre shoe laces together so they trip over! And do that to anybody who didnt like me eg. snape umbridge etc.

If I had an invisibility cloak I would TP and silly string my band teachers car. Oh wait I already did and without an invisibility cloak (TEE-HEE). Well I would probably recruit my freind whom is my partner in evil doings and plan someway to get my chinese teacher and it would of course have to involve silly string cause that's our signature mark. Oh yea and it would involve the evil smart kid from that class too. So I would hack into the grading files and change the smart kid's grade to an F. Then I'd put super glue on the teachers chair and when I came to class the next day I would attack him with...SILLY STRING!!!!!! HAHAHAHAHA!!!

cool topic if i had an invisibility cloak i would:

4. muck up everything so filch has to clean it
5. while he is cleaning the stuff i mucked up i'll check his office in hope of finding something as cool as the marauder's map.

Well, seeing as the invisibility cloak has already been invented in real life, I cannot wait to get my hands on one. A few things that I would do with an invisibility cloak:

1) Attack the Slytherins! Plant a few stinkbombs in their commonroom as well.

2) Spy on people I dont like, stealthly sneaking around the corridors.

3) Launch a surprise attack on Lord Voldemort and all his death eaters!

Those are just a few of the many possibilities of things I could do with an invisibility cloak. Im sure if I gave it more thought, the list could be a lot longer.

Ok if I had an invisibility cloak, and being a Slytherin this is what I would do:

I would put on the cloak and go up to the Gryffindor common room and rearrange their furniture
I would put notices on the House boards things such as " Quidditch Practice cancelled for Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, and ravenclaw" so that Slytherin could have the Quidditch field everyday
I would sneak into potions class and change the labels on all of the ingredients
I would go into the great hall and put spells on the chairs so that when people sat down they would not be able to get back up
I would track mud inside and leave muddy footprints all over the place leading to deadends to keep Filch busy all day
I would tie Mrs Norris up to one of the many statues in the school and leave notes for Filch to see if he could find her
Lastly I would sneak down to Hogsmeade (during the school week) and smuggle back some butterbeer for myself and fellow Slytherins.

Eat food from the kitchen and leave a mess for the house elves
Sneak into Hogsmeade and take things eg.lollies,drinks
Kick Mrs Norris and Filch
Write 'Filch is Filth' on the walls in blood
Mess Dumbledore's office. He has too many things.
