... and who ever sings Bad Day.
Daniel Powter! I dunno, his name stuck in my head most probably because it's 'Daniel' (as in Dan Radcliffe) and slightly different spelling from 'Potter'...

But yeah, I love that song too! Funny really, cause I like to listen to it whenever I *have* a bad day and it makes me feel better a little bit.
I'm into Soundtracks right now. There's this half-an-hour show in Channel V that featured all soundtracks in the industries. Some of those that frequently featured is 'Upside Down' by Jack Johnson, 'Spiderman Theme' by Micheal Buble and 'Broken' by Seether and Amy Lee. I listen to all generally, except for maybe heavy-metal (to me it's not music, it's noise...

).

The song My Immortal by Evanessence is so moving I love it. I also love When September Ends by Greenday. I also like really tacky songs that remind you of summer like Wham! Club Tropicana, but my ultimate favourite is Summer Breeze by the Isley Brothers ....pure classic.

im dissapointed in you, Zyra! Post-Hardcore music has some of the most elaborate time signatures known to man!
all of you FOB fans make me sad to think that my scene is coming out into the open, and that the DIY factor in it is just gonna go away... *sigh*
man, now im bummed. Thanx MTV.
Gosh, I have so many, ill just list a bunch, in no praticular order...
AFI - God Called in Sick Today
From First To Last - Ride The Wings of Pestilence

Norma Jean - Liarsenic: Creating a Universe of Discourse
UnderOATH - Alone in December
Minor Threat - Straight Edge
Mae - Summertime
Atreyu - The Crimson
Power Line Brief - Windows
Golgo Bordello - Start Wearing Purple
I am like Zyra...whenever I have a bad day then hear Had A Bad Day it makes me feel a little better
Other songs that I would claim as favorites are (and these are just a few) You and Me by Lifehouse, Here For You by Firehouse, Broken by Seether featuring Amy Lee and Sympathy by Goo Goo Dolls. These as said are just a few that I listen to all the time but I have a wide range of tastes in music so have many others that I could also classify as favorites.
My poor iPod Mini is going to have to be replaced as I am out of room

I love John Farham songs like 'You're the Voice' and 'Touch of Paridise'. John is an amzing singer. I also like 'Total Eclipes of the Heart' by Bonnie Tyler, the passion in the song is amazing which is why I'm learning it on piano and to sing it, if only I knew a guy that was a good singer...

I also like songs by The Corrs, Delta Goodrem and Missy Higgens (The Special Two is my favourite to sing and play piano as well I love the lyrics).

*That* has to be one of the song I grew up listening to! Oh yeah, I agree with you there, and furthermore it brings with it old memories whenever I listen to it... aii... *reminiscing*

Esrb, I might like some of the songs you mentioned here
if I were in my youngster years... but meh, I'm too old for loud-banging songs anymore... and God, save me from all those boy bands!!
Now, Stephen Tyler 'Just Feel Better', Bon Jovi 'Have a Nice Day' and Bryan Adams 'The Only Things That Looks Good On Me Is You' is very entertaining when I feel like some up-beat tempo. I'm trying out the jazz right now, anybody has any suggestion?

I'm glad that the questions is concerned with songs rather than song - I always find is problematic to decide upon just one
the answer that I normally give usually involves one of the following
Poison (Alice Cooper) -
(stop laughing you at the back
)Underwater Love (Faith No More)
Sanitarium (metallica) - also quite appropriate given what I'm studying

and
Mr. Brownstone or Don't Cry (Guns and Roses)
although I have been known to do silly little jiggy dances to 'Venus' (Bananarama) and I constantly played 'The Night Santa Went Crazy' (Wierd Al) throughout the christmas period which drove everyone nuts
My music taste varies considerably from completely chilled out stuff like Enya to quite heavy rock/death metal like Deicide and 'Strapping young lad'
with a few silly things in the middle *hangs head in shame at some of the more embarasing aspects of my music collection* - although it generally settles in the cheesy late-80s early-90s rock bit (Whitesnake, Guns and Roses, ACDC etc) -
well, if you're going to continue to laugh at my emabrasing taste in music I'll just stick my tongue out and leave

I only have one favorite song. There's songs I like. There's songs I like more. There's songs I love. But there's only one song that can be called my favorite, I can listen to it all day long and keep that up for days without getting annoyed by it.
Now don't you all want to know which song it is? I bet you do

Before the Dawn by Evanescence....

...BLUE!! oh yeah, they're like, well, were, the gods of music...i know some people may think i should be locked up in an asylum for saying that, but please, i dont really have to know about the performers of the past thirty decades...i love their voices and their work...especially Lee Ryan, who's like, got this AWESOME love ideas which he uses to write these so totally sweet and heart-warming lyrics and compose some of the world's most AMAZING songs...they kill me with their songs, really, they do...and its just ever so sad that they broke up and split...there should be a law against bands breaking up and going solo
