It does not seem anything like winter here, but I desperately want it to. The snow that we did have has mostly melted, and the grass underneath is still green! There are some really icy patches, and you can see your breath when you go outside, but it is not winter. We had 90 mph gusts of wind yesterday, and a light flurry last night. Not enough to make a difference though.

It is cold....cold....cold. but.....england is always cold so I guess I'm used to it....me likey cold!

It rocks.
....I say that too much. Anyway...heavy frost this morning and all my Mum's plants nearly died.

Poor plants...actually they're not that poor, they're incredibly fussy but hey they're plants and have no brain...that we know of. Mufty today so we didn't freeze to death on the way to school...my friend is really sensitive to the cold so she was wearing like five or six layers and an incredibly poofy coat that made her look like she was four times her normal width....it was very funny

.
....random. I know.

It's all snowy and cold outside! And slippery too! On my way to school on friday I must have slipped three or four times! Luckily I wore a lot of clothes that subdued my fall so I didn't get hurt that much

When I walked outside to go to school, it was snowing!

It's just been really cold for a while, but hasn't snowed since October, so it was kind of weird that we hadn't gotten anymore. But now we did. YAY! I love the snow. Although walking home in it sucks most of the time.

It is freezing here!! This morning it was zero degrees! (Farinheight) It only got up to 9 today. My dad was walking around on our pond outside. We'll probably be able to go ice-skating soon! We don't have much snow at the moment. Just a dusting. I think we're supposed to be getting sleet tonight, but I'm not sure.

We had a huge snowstorm today! We got eight inches! All the schools were closed, even graduation at the college was closed! I was crazy! But I am so excited that we will have snow on Christmas! We're actually supposed to be getting two more storms before Christmas! Hooray!

Ahhhhh..... Where is the snow????? It is the 2nd of January and it is in the mid 50s. My son still thinks Christmas Eve hasn't come yet, because there isn't any snow. What's the deal with the weather? One day its in the low 30s... the next.. mid 50s. Very frustrating!!!!

It's freeeeeeezing in the UK, but no snow for us. We are having regular sub-zero temperatures through the day. Today is -1 but at night it's dropping as low as -10, and that's unheard of in my part of the country. I just want it to snow tomorrow night good and thick then the schools will get closed and I won't have to go back to work!

How jealous I will be Elaine if you are able to get your wish.

Oh it's been very cold here in New York. Very cold indeed. The highest it's gotten in the past few days is 24 degrees. We've had snow! And more snow. We had a storm on Wednesday and we have over a foot. And that's on top of what we had before. We've gotten to do a lot of sledding which has been super fun!

We hadn't gotten hardly any snow here and then, last night, we got so much snow, we don't have school today! We didn't have it Tuesday either. It usually is really cold where I live, but it's been quite warm up to today.
I wish it was summer.

What happened? We had nice weather for about a week, then crash! It has gotten down to minus 30 and it has been snowing almost non-stop for two days. It is thick and powdery-- almost a foot high in one night! Then there is a wind chill that makes it even colder. And it has been like this all over Canada all winter. I don't mind the snow at all. Just when I have to shovel.

It's gotten colder. I blame global warming.

I wish that it would snow just a little bit more just that way I can go sledding!

My weather around here is nuts.
We go from sixties, warm, nice to two feet of snow, twelve degrees and then ice storms. No lie, the weather around here is awful. And the towns do a terrible job of plowing streets and sidewalks, they don't try to clean up the ice, so walking is miserable.
Also, a state up from me got a really bad ice-storm about a month ago, they didn't have power for almost two weeks. I'll link the news report - this is how crazy the weather around me gets

It's rather beautiful here in Amish Country. I live in Lancaster, Pennsylvania and I drove a package to Laurel, Maryland today- What a wonderful day to travel around here! It was sunny, but rather cold, though it means being dark and wet any day.
But all good things come to pass, we might get some snow tonight if the weather forecast last evening was correct. If the storm stays on it's predicted path, then my sunny, dry days are over!

I am really mad right now its about -15 in Nebraska this morning and there is a ring of schools around mine with no school or 2 hour late start, but guess what I have regular hour school! Well its officially cold enough here to get my school to call it. In the history of it being a school district we've never had a snow day, however the temperature is now -12 Fahrenheit (-24 Celsius) and that's before you count the windchill coming off the lake making it about -30 F. I don't think there is a school in the area in class today

Wow, where are you from?
It hasn't gotten that cold here (except at night), but yesterday the temperature dropped to 14 Farenheit, and today it's a bit warmer: 20.
I'm not sure how much difference it makes if you're in a desert, so that it's freezing and the air is dry at the same time. But it feels absolutely miserable here in Utah. It goes to your head in two seconds and it makes you cough.
It's funny, but have you noticed that it's a lot warmer when the sky is cloudy during winter? Here, the sky has been clear for days. Great for stargazing, but the temperature doesn't agree. (But in Utah, the sky is usually clear; I'm one of those people who gets sick of the Sun.)

I live in Atlantic Canada.
It's storming presently. I can hear it. Many things were closed because of all the snow, so now I can sit around all day.
The coldest it has been here this winter was -39 degrees Celsius. That's cold, believe me. I never remember it ever getting that frigid. I want summer! *cries*
I suppose what I'm saying doesn't help the Canada-is-always-winter stereotype. We get summer, don't worry. This is just extreme.

I live in West Virginia, if some of you have noticed, the whole eastern area has been getting hit badddd. We've only had school, I think 10 days this month, maybe more. It's not cold here really, it's just everything keeps freezing over in ice. I wish we had school, because the 1st semester will never end if we don't. I don't get why we just don't skip finals, and what not.
Hopefully, the weather will go overs soon. I want summer!! So bad.

It's so cold where I am that the rivers have frozen. Everytime I go out my face freezes... We had snow for a while but it rarely rains here so we don't get too much from the heavens above. And I'm so stupid I keep forgetting my gloves. And it's getting incredibly stormy here, gale force winds and all...

It wish it were that hot where I live,
laughingirl_92. Lately for me it's been in the 30's. I hate it. I like the snow and how pretty it is, but when it turns to ice or mush, I can't stand it. But today, it was actually beautiful. Sunny and in the 50's! The thing is, I didn't know till 5:00, so I couldn't go out and enjoy it.

That's OK, I'm stoked we actually had a warm day. Maybe it means more will be coming my way. I can't wait till spring (at least when it's warm in spring) and summer. It's beautiful and warm in those seasons.

I, too, am ready for spring. We received 112+ inches of snow in the month of December alone. All time record for my area. Figures we would move here to live through it. At least the piles of snow are no longer taller than I am!
I don't mind the temps in the 30s, I just wish the sun would come out more than once in a two week span. Sigh. Depressing as could be.

Yesterday was beautiful in the morning! It felt just like Spring! Everything was melting, the sun was shining and the birds were singing. My sister and I went on a walk and didn't even have to wear coats it was so nice. By the evening, it was colder and today it's windy, really cold and it's snowing outside. The weather is absolutely lunatic here! One day it's hot, up to 18 degrees, and the next one it's cold and raining! Yesterday it was cold in the morning, hot until the afternoon, then it rained a little bit, and then it got hot again. I woke up sweating.

There is something very wrong about the weather. I think it's going to snow some time soon. We can't have spring already!
