I see that we are on the third page of Google. That's depressing because this is one of the greatest sites around. It is my home away from home. There is a chair in the Ravenclaw common room (as Homer Simpson would say) with my butt groove on it...I also have comfortable chairs in other 'rooms'. I LOVE VTM!!!

Heyy! I'm padfootx3! I'd really like to join. I think that VTM is the best HP site out there. I don't know how there are so many sites ahead of it on google. VTM is a great way to debate about HP and real life, also you can make new friends. I think its a great way for HP fans to connect!

P.S. what is the diff between I.N.V.A.I.D. and G.O.P.E.E.V.E.S.?

I believe that G.O.P.E.E.V.E.S. is a branch of I.N.V.A.I.D. because G.O.P.E.E.V.E.S. focuses solely on the clicking of links on Google where as I.N.V.A.I.D. is more about VTM getting attention in the greater scope of things.

However, both I.N.V.A.I.D. and G.O.P.E.E.V.E.S. are now prelatures of "The VTM Initiative" as they were inducted into the greater effort to "get VTM out there!".

Hey guys!! Im new to this thread, and ive seen I.N.V.A.L.I.D everywhere on this site but i didnt rele know what it was about so i checked it out. I rele like what this is about! Veritaserum is an awesome site! i never knew about it (or heard about it before) until my friend Alisha told me about it. To tell you the truth, the only reason why i was interested in this site is because you were able to get sorted into a house and i had always wanted to see what house i would be in *stares guiltily at the floor* but then when i got an account on this site, and i explored it more. i rele became addicted to this site! i love everything about it! how it is alwasy uptdated with the latest HP news, how everyone here is friendly, there are so many topics (lots of HP related-and other stuff too) to discuss. All the topics here are well thought out and none of the topics are random, rubbish, or nonsense. Its a great place to just indulge in everything Harry Potter!! And the rules are very reasonable also!! So, i would like to become a member of I.N.V.A.L.I.D. to help VTM get more noticed!! I will do all i can to help! Hi everyone! My name is Therese, I'm a teenager from the U.S. I started reading HP when the first book came out and have loved them ever since.

After I finished DH, I became totally obsessed with HP. In my frenzy, I wanted to find a place to talk to other about the new book. I came across VTM, and I totally love it. I like how the forums are set up so you can pretty much talk about anything, HP or no. Everything happens in a respectful and intelligent way, thanks to all the mods and the admin. I really like the way the entire site works.

I want to become a member of I.n.v.a.i.d. to help VTM get recognized further, and to get more new members. This is a great site, and there are a lot of people out ther who would really enjoy it, but just can't find it, or don't know about it.

Hi everyone! I'm from Costa Rica (that's in Central America) and I've been into Harry Potter since around year 2000. I joined VTM because I was looking for something about Harry Potter on the internet (like a date for the movie to come out in DVD or something, I can't really remember what it was) and saw the link in Google. Okay well one day i was just looking for HP sites when I came across VTM.I knew what it was,a potion that makes you tell the truth, so i figured it must be a good site,so i signed up and just checked it every once in a while and i like never came on again after a few weeks.Than during the summer I decided to come on again and I looked around.That's when i realized how good this site was. VTM really is a great HP site for HP fans.You can make new friends and talk about VTM or anything else.Which is also a great thing about this site.That's all that can actually come out in words.

P.S even though I haven't been able to read DH I know for a fact it's going to be a great book

VTM deserves alot of attention! It is such a wonderful HP site! By far the best! I stumbled upon it quite a few times when I started liking HP, but when I really became obsessed- and I mean, really- I was on here often. Then I wanted to join, had problems, got mad, etc. But now I'm a member, and so proud! I love VTM so much, it's one of the only things I do when I'm on the computer (which happens alot ), apart from making HP avatars. So congrats everyone who contributes to this site, it's really great! It's so organized and has everything I need! It's now a habit to check VTM everyday... lol. And now that I visit other sites, I'm like- wow, this makes no sense! Haha! Really, I'm so used to this... It's also good that it's a really safe and friendly site for everyone, all ages. That really helps and VTM is really good at controlling problems with the rules and the moderators... really awesome. And there are so many forum topics, it's just crazy! You find everything you need- if not, make a new topic! I love it. And I can post my fanfics now, and get feedback, which is really great for me and everyone else, and their writing. It helps improving, with comments. And it just makes you feel happy!

I have been really into Harry Potter ever since I was six when I read the first Harry Potter book (which surprised my teacher, since she thought I couldn't read...). Whenever I see a different Harry Potter site, i think, This really needs to have some more fan-created stuff! Veritaserum really lets all of us HP worshippers out there express out obsessions. Fan fiction is really cool too... It's like the sequels to the books. After reading the whole series it really helps that we can go to fan fiction to replace the books that aren't going to continue.

My name is Emily and I go by the name of EMILUBE37 on this site. I love Harry Potter (Well, no dur. I'm on this site, aren't I? ). I am homeschooled, and love it. I found Veritaserum when I was still at school looking for a picture of a book for a report. I thought the name was catchy, and vowed to check it out. I am so glad I did! I have been a member for about a year and two months.

What I love about Veritaserum, is how it's so easy to just read and read for hours. I always find a new things that are interesting, and fun. I love how all the people are always so nice and thoughful and addicted, like me. They are always so polite (though that may be partially because of the awesome mods on here) and a lot of what they say is very thought provoking, and you think about it long after you read it. I love how the rules are always enforced so well, and how all the rules allow for everyone from age one to one hundred to enjoy themselves. I sometimes get so carried away on here, I look down at the clock ad say "Whoa! It's tomarrow!" I really love that. I used to fear the day when there would be no more to know about Harry Potter , but now I know that there will always be rumors and snippets (and perhaps and encyclopedia) on this site, and that will keep me going for the rest of my life.

I'm planning to study Social Communication, to be a journalist, despite I want to be an English translator ... but well, there aren't universities for translators near . I love writing, reading and translating. I'm in love with HP since I was 14, despite I like him since I was 11 . I'd never been part from a community like Vtm before, just looked for information whenever I wanted. But one day, I search for "Harry Potter" and I saw Vtm, and I had no idea of what it was. I found out that it was the most incredible HP website, despite I had no intentions in being part of it from the beggining. I love it, did I said it?
I've discover lots of things I didn't know, and now I'm informed every single day about HP news. It has even inspired me to write fan-fics; I had never thought of this kind of make a good use of my writing pleasure.

Hey everyone! My name is Dawn and I'm 24. I found VTM through my cell phone actually. I typed in "Harry Potter" in the Google search engine and VTM popped up. I was really disappointed though because well..it's cell phone and I didn't really know what the site was about. I went on it everyday anyway..I could still read all the news on HP (on the front page). When my husband and I got the internet again...the first thing I did was come on VTM and register!
I have a friend that uses Muggles.net. I checked it out a few days ago..and wow it stinks! VTM has everything! From sorting...to a bunch of forums...and understandable rules that everyone seems to have no problem following. This really is a family site. I love everything Harry Potter and i think VTM is AWESOME!. It's a great place for fans to talk about everything under the sun! I am Hannah and I am from Nebraska which is in the Midwest Region of the United States. I am a big sports fan, I compete in basketball, volleyball, track, swimming, and water skiing and for fun I will play just about anything football, baseball, wake boarding etc. I am a big fan of the Nebraska Cornhusker football and volleyball team (even though now it is a painful experience). I work as a counselor at a kids camp and all camps are overnight from anywhere from 3-5 days. I was a camper at this camp for seven years before starting work this year.

I have two older brothers named Jack and Nate; Jack is 21, Nate is 18, and I am 15. I have five pets; three cats and two dogs. In my free time I go hang out with friends, read, watch movies, listen to music, and coming on veritaserum which I have been a member of for over a year.


I have tried other Harry Potter related sites but in the end I ended up at veritaserum because at first I just wanted to do all the cool sorting quizzes and it ended up sticking with me. The discussions generally stay on topic so I know what to expect every time I post in a thread. The posts are usually very intelligent and thought out. I think it is better than any other Harry Potter web site out there.

When you serch for "harry potter", VTM is number 7 on the second page.

When you serch for "harry potter 7", VTM is number 4 on page two.

When you search for "best harry potter site", VTM is number 4 on page one.

Not bad results, considering how many things there are related to Harry Potter on the web. Keep clicking and supporting VTM!

I'm kind of curious as to why we've specifically picked Google to bring VTM to the forefront of the Harry Potter sites of Harry Potter sites out there ? Not that I don't want it to be up there !

It's just... I know I've read through the very first post over what this thread is about around a month ago when I first joined but it didn't quite register then that it was Google I should have been using everytime I opened up Windows Explorer to Yahoo! (that is my homepage) and typed in Veritaserum (I don't really like the URL bar - I'm forgetful so I prefer repetition over having a saved link.)

I'm going to start using the Google search engine from now on when I want to get here. I think we would have been much higher on the list had I been doing so sooner (as I come here atleast two-three times a day) but no one ever said I was a rocket scientist !

Veritaserum is by far the best Harry Potter fan site out there for quite a few reasons.

1. It is well run
2. It is bright and welcoming
3. It promotes real discussion about Harry potter
4. It is fun and engaging
5. Most of the users are pleasant and polite
6. There is always something new to get involved in

I found this site through another fansite so it is good that Harry Potter fan sites support each other.
Veritaserum comes up fourth when I type harry Potter fan site into google with ten results per page. When I type in Harry Potter, Veritaserum appears in the bottom half of the first page based on a display of one hundred results per page. Not good enough!!!

I've taken to searching Veritaserum daily in google.

I'm pretty miffed as to why there are a lot of fan sites which appear before Veritaserum even though they are much less active and pretty over rated.

Seems a bit low for me to suggest but I'm gonna anyways
