Favourite Bands/Artists: Anything Rock, really: Nickelback, Five For Fighting, 3 Foors Down, (I only like "Enter Sandman" by Metallica), Greenday, etc; and anything Broadway.
Likes: I love the musical "Wicked" (although, my parents and friends would disagree and say that I'm more so obsessed....), anything Broadway, Writing, (I adore!) Reading, uhm CSI (although I don't like the series on CBS, I'm more so into the the FBI Files on the Discovery Channel/History Channel; I'm a dork, I know!), and school (I said that I was a dork...). I am totally obsessed with Broadway! Especially Wicked!! I've seen it once, I'll see it again when it comes to Philadelphia next year, and I'm seeing it in October 2006. Soem of my favourite shows are: Aida, The Lion King, Tarzan, Beauty and the Beast, Hairspray, 42nd Street, Chicago, etc. I'm a very artsy person, evern though that comes off as me being a total nerd. (I'm obsessed with art, especially Salvidor Dahli!)

I'm extremely into writing, although my fanfic(s) do not show it. I have been offered a contract to write 1 book and a sequel to it - but I have yet to sign that contract as it is $400 to have them print the book alone. I own my own HP RPG site, I work 3 jobs, and for my sport I do Horseback Riding (which is not easy!). I have been on here before, my computer crashed and I was inactive...

My current obsession is Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat. I am so bad I even have my eight year old daughter hooked on the CD. Everytime I turn around she has taken the CD for her own collection. We have a thread here about Broadway musicals you might be interested in. Metallica is a great band but I think Enter Sandman was the beginning of their downfall. Everything before that was great.

Hobbies: Don't have time for many, so I pretty much focus on Harry Potter these days. Foreign languages and linguistics have always been great interests of mine. I speak Spanish and German and love to correspond in Spanish (my German isn't so good these days). Would love to do writing in Spanish for HP web-sites, but can only justify taking the time if it is for some stipend.

Favorite character: That's tough. I think Harry, but any Weasley is a close runner up. I've said for a long time that everybody needs a Fred and George. Dumbledore probably comes right before the Twins and right after Harry, and McGonagall probably follows the Weasleys.

Least favorite character: The Dursleys because of their bigotry and horrible treatment of Harry. I was ecstatic when Dumbledore tormented them by using so much magic in their own living room and then told them off! The Twins' Ton-Tongue Toffee was great too!

I grew up watching Bewitched. I loved see Mrs Kravitz get her comeuppance for being so nosy. She and Petunia Dursley could start a club! Darrins' mother would fit in too. I always felt sorry for Abner Kravitz and Darrin's father. Poor blokes.

Name: My name is actually Lauren and yes, I am a girl. People seem to look at my username and assume I'm a guy due to the "Lou." Speaking of which, you can call my Lou or Louie or whatever you want really. I have lots of nicknames.

Location: I live in good old West Chester, Ohio. If anyone happens to know where Cincinnati is, it's about 20 miles north of there.

Hobbies: I am a nature freak. I basically love to be outside at all times, so anything that you can do outside, I like it. Rock Climbing, Canoeing, Swimming, Sunbathing, Cloud-Watching. Stuff like that. I also love to dance even though I'm not that great at it. I used to be a tap dancer but now I'm more into Swing dancing and Salsa dancing. I'm also sort of a bookworm.

Favorite character: Hands down, Ron. He cracks me up.

Least favorite character: Probably Umbridge. I absolutely cannot stand that woman.

How you came across Veritaserum: Well I actually discovered this place quite a long time ago... I think just before OotP came out, but I was too afraid to actually join the forum. I read everyone elses ideas but was too scared to post my own. So here I am, finally deciding that everyone here is really nice and friendly and not scary, joining VTM. yay!

Favourite Bands/Artists: I listen to pretty much everything. I absolutely love the All-American Rejects, Dave Mathews Band, Acceptance, Relient K, Queen, Lynard Skynard, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Nelly, Natasha Beddingfeld, The Beatles, and Fall Out Boy.

Likes: I'm a big fan of toast and chrome toasters. I enjoy a good thunderstorm and every once in a while a midnight snack at the local white castles. I find people fascinating and I'm one of those people-watching people. (No, I'm not a stalker, I just like to see the diversity everywhere.) The color green is beautiful as are sunrises and nature in general. I'm a rollercoaster junkie and cannot get enough to eat... ever. I don't watch TV that much but nothing will make me miss my weekly Wednesday night LOST fix. That show is amazing.

In HP, it would Umbridge...I hate it when you are being treated unfairly and there is nothing you can really do about it. Dolores pretty much is all of that crammed into a toad's face. But in all of Fiction-World? ...No, Umbridge pretty much takes the cake as my least favorite character ever.

A link on SFBookcase tookme to the Book 7 page. I have had a few theories but have never been able to find a place where you could write your own without being staff. So, as I went to sumbit Ye Olde Theory of mine, I noticed that this place had a forum. My initial response? Yayforum. And then I found out that the posting operated on UBBC code and I was sold. HTML makes me shudder. UBBC is my cuddly friend. Exciting story, eh?

Almost all of the books I read (and I tend to read a lot) I end up really liking. I could never be a movie critic because I find something to like in every movie I watch. Well, almost every movie. Pallindromes was a terrible movie. -shudders- Umm, my unhealthy obsession is probably The West Wing on account of it is one of the most amazing shows ever created. Smart, clever, witty, sly and all around well-made. (Yes, as of now it is possible to be smart, clever, witty, and sly all at the same time.) I should probably divert before I launch my customary West-Wing-Is-The-Best-Thing-That-Ever-Happened-To-The-Human-Race- Rant...I love all animals besides anything monkey related, although they are growing on me. Over summers I have the amazing oppurtunity to study wolves and that's a blast. I've loved horses since I was born, but I have stopped asking for a pony for my birthday, as I would rather have a college fund. Most of the time, I really, really like people. Just in general.
Dislikes:
Close-minded or narrow-minded people. Its not that I don't like being disagreed with-- or even that I don't like being wrong-- I just can't stand those that won't listen to a different view. Well, I better talk about something else before I get started on that rant as well. I don't like people that are cruel to other lives and I really don't like killing things. For instance, I am currently supposed to be working on an Honors Biology project that has me catch many insects and then put them in my freezer in order to kill them. I don't really feel like freezing innocent little lives today, thank you very much.

I am, to put it lightly, "rather eccentric." Its not that I have really strange habits like only typing with my left eyeball, and I don't collect earwax in an old wine bottle or anything, but I talk differently and I kind of have an out-there mind. When I say talk differently I don't mean a lisp or the sound of my voice--although I do have a very strange accent that no one has ever been able to place-- but I structure my sentences unusually and express unique ideas. I'm scatter-brained in an organized sort of way. And it doesn't fully matter to me if that made sense or not, I'm just a little strange.

After all, when was the last time you had the mental image or earwax in a wine bottle? For your sanity, I hope that image doesn't visit you too often.

Photo and poetry...two things I wish I were good at, but I unfortunately didn't get the talent. I mean, anyone can take pictures or make words rhyme, but to do it well...a whole other story. And I see you like Harry and Hermione...if you like them as a ship, which I' guessing you do since you've got a + sign, you might want to check out the Harry/Hermione ships thread. It talks all about the possibilities for Hermione and Harry to get together or if there's something there already. And thank goodness someone else doesn't like Peeves...blech.

Hello! I'm Puzzlepiece here, I guess. My friend, HogwartsU turned me onto Verataserum. I belong to one other forum (but I dont know if I'm allowed to say it here seeing as I havent read all the rules yet) where I am a daily poster. This seems like a big forum but not as intimidating as others so cudos to you. I'm 14 from Toronto, Canada and I'm female . Im starting High Shcool. My hobbies are HP (duh), Rubik's cubing, karate, ice hockey, art, writing, and reading (mostly fantasy). I love Tamora Pierce, David Eddings, Sara Douglass..I have no favorite character though DD is definitly top along with Fred and George. In music, I love jazz, as well as the band Dispatch (famous for The General), Coldplay, 3 Doors Down, and the Narnia Soundtrack. I listen to the Harry Potter audiobooks nonstop (got OOTP on right now) since I dont have time to just read them always. Hi everyone

I am relatively new to the whole Harry Potter universe. Sure I watched the movies, but I was kinda skeptical towards the book, since I am an avid J.R.R. Tolkien fan. My wife, however, began to listen to the audiobooks by Jim Dale on her way to work and she convinced me to try it out, which I did. So I picked up the Order of the Phoenix and was hooked. I have since gone through all the books and become a person who regulary checks different webpages for information on book 7 and on the upcoming movie. The only setback with reading, or listening to the books, have been that I really don't enjoy the movies anymore...which is why I really hope the pull off the Order of the Phoenix. From what I have heard so far it seems to be heading the right way.

So what about me? I am a 30-years-old and live in Springfield, MO, which is a place I doubt even the darkest wizard would dare venture. I am originally from Sweden but fell in love and moved to the States. I am currently a student and have way to much time on my hands
