i came across Veritasrum the day after i read the half blood prince for the third time. i was hungry for answers to the many mysteries in the series and i wanted to know other people's theories and opinions. needless to say i was not disappointed! although i generally take everything as its written, i like to know what other people feel. the advantage of taking everything at face value is that you tend to be more surprised when the plot twists! i love reading everyones theories because it is celebrating the fantastic novels for inspiring discussion. other stories rarely do this!

Well I am Jess, Jesi, JJ. I'm from England, and adore Harry Potter, hence why I'm here.
I don't usually go onto the forums and stuff, but I really like this site, so I decided to give it a go.

I just got back from watching the fifth film, all I will say is amazing, I have the seventh book pre-ordered, but I'll still go and buy another copy the moment it comes out, because I need a present for my nan.

I write alot of Harry potter fanfiction, for HPFF, I'm doing really well with that.

Erm other then that I am a sixteen year old girl who loves music, computers, reading and going to the Cinema.

Well im bronagh and i love my harry potter. Decided to join here after going to see harry potter with stubby and nearly getting kicked out for laughing too loudly. I mean come on! "Im sure harry's kissing was more than satisfactory" What was i meant to do.

I have to say that sirius is my favourite charachter.. even though he is dead. I think that is rather irrelevant. And i wouldnt say i disliked snape... oh what am i saying i do.

Hey! I guess I should have done this first before posting already, but w/e.

I'm 16 and have adored Harry Potter since fifth grade...I guess that would make it seven years of craziness. I loved growing up with the books, though.

My favorite character is Sirius Black Still not completely convinced he bit the dust, but am still depressed he's gone. Remus, Luna, and Dumbledore make second place...I really do love all of the characters though, except for the obvious ones almost everyone else hates.

Besides reading HP, I like reading other books, watching movies, writing, MUSIC! (listening and playing), and I adore animals.

Favorite band of all time: QUEEN!!!! Thanks to them, I'm a total classic rock fan. Love Zeppelin, the Beatles, the Stones, David Bowie, Journey...I could be here forever

Lastly, I'm going to be really sad when I finish the last HP book and I'm really hoping Jo writes about the Marauders next, but I'll always be grateful to have stumbled upon these magnificent books that have really take me away to another land whenever I needed to breakaway. However, they have also taught me a lot about reality. While the books have witches and wizards and fantastic creatures, they also have the battle of good vs. evil that we face in everyday life. I feel bad for people who can't really see that and dismiss the books as "children's books" just because they have magic. They may be a sixth grade reading level (as my mom constantly reminds me though she still enjoys the movies) but I truly think they are for everyone. There's just something...well, magical about them. No, not just Wingardium Leviosa and the Wolfsbane potion, but something that really speaks to your heart. I really don't know what that is, but whatever the reason...I know it's good.

So, I wasn't really planning on that last speech, but yeah...that's how I feel So, it's good to be here!!!

Least favorite character: Voldemort - he only thinks about how to keep himself immortal and rule the Wizarding world. In the books he is described as the second most powerful Sorcer in the world - think of everything you could do to make the world better with that kind of power, but he only uses it for evil.
