This seems like a great site! Obviously, I'm a newbie, but not new to the world of Harry Potter. I didn't exactly grow up with it like some of my younger siblings did, but after seeing Goblet of Fire (I know, late joiner!)

I read all of the books that were out, saw all the movies, and became absolutely entranced with Harry Potter (and JK Rowling and her writing and how she can pull a reader in.) I myself do quite a bit of writing and have some stories in the works, but when I look at her level of writing and creation of a magical world, (with so much detail!), I find myself a little intimidated, ha ha. I am a part of another site which I will not name as I know advertising is against the rules, where I am a moderator and do quite a bit of roleplaying. Anyways, I'll get to the basic questions now!

How you came across Veritaserum: I had watched an AOL/Moviefone exclusive interview with Rupert, Daniel, and Emma, then that led me to finding photos of Emma and trying to find out how old she is (I was just curious), and one of the photos led me to this site. I looked around, and thought "Wow, this is a great site! I think I'll join." And the rest is history

Hello All!

My friends call me Char, and I live in bewildering state of Arkansas in the US.

My favorite Characters are, first and foremost, Sirius, who I love dearly, and then Dumbledore. If that combination doesn't confuse you, then you are doing better than me.

My least favorite character is Wormtail.

I'm pretty sure that I will be the eldest of the bunch. I'm 43, actually. So, not quite as old as Dumbledore, but not far from it.

I work over at Spinner's Cast as part of the transcription and editing team, and when I am not working, living, or breathing Harry Potter; I am spending time with my husband (also a huge Potter fan), our daughters, or our pets, I'm writing either stories, articles or poetry, or enjoying the fact that I just finished my Bachelors in English: Literature and Culture, and after a short break will begin work on my Masters. I have lost Harry Potter for almost 10 long yrs. Believing it does influence the kids and adults alike of its occultic nature. But I am not among those protesters or anti-advocacy group. I was wrong when I first saw the Philisopher's Stone movie 3 yrs ago though not fully convinced, I keep on watching the first 4 films (well I still reserve of keeping the book that time). Now I recommend the HP installments to kids and adults and looking into possesion of the hard cover book of book 1 - 4 (not the hallows ). I came across Harry Potter after me and my friends went to see PS/CS at the cinema. I've read each book loads of times, and I think I know most of them off by heart now. I like to play the Scene it game (DVD), and I am a bit of an HP trivia know-it-all (which reallly irritates my mum , as she reckons she's the biggest fan in our house!!). My favourite book is DH because I think it's funny in some places and very sad in others, and I cried at certain deaths.

Hi! My real name is Anita... but it was already taken as a username, so I'm using my mom's middle name instead... As weird as it may seem, I started reading the Harry Potter books when I was around 16. I was going through a rough patch and my mom gave me the first one as a gift and couldn't stop since then. Now I'm 23 and really happy about my relationship with the books.
I live in Costa Rica and this is my very first post since I joined almost a month ago. I came up with a fanfic while searching something about Harry on google and then I joined.
I love to read fantasy books, watch TV and go to the movies. My favorite character? Probably Harry, but I love the trio plus Ginny. Least favorite? Draco!
