Okay, I was wonderin what all yall thought about those '90s TV shows, ya know, Full House, Growing Pains, Family Matters, Fresh Prince of Bel-Air and lets throw in the Cosby Show for some fun, you all get what I'm talking about right?
I adored Full House, espically when the Olsens were young, they were so cute
Growing Pains and Family Matters were good too, though they arent my favorite
Freash Prince of Bel Air, Will Smith was so funny, yeah I like that show too
Cosby Show was in my opoion one of the best sitcom-y type show around, very good stuff right there.

WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO I LOVE 90'S SHOWS!
Full House, Fresh Prince of Bel Air (I CAN RAP TO THE THEME SONG!

), Family Matters (i love Urkel!), the Cosby Show, the Facts of Life (I don't think too many people know this show), and more that I can't think of right now.
Hmmm, I remember some of the old school Nickelodeon cartoons/shows that I used to absolutely love. Pete and Pete, and Camp Anawanna were my favorite, but they never show it anymore

Double Dare was that game show that had disgusting goo thrown at everyone. Angry Beavers was hilarious; I loved Norbert! Rocko's Modern Life was alright, but I didn't think it was too ehh, appropriate.

Hmmm, I was pretty much a cartoon person as a kid in the 90's.
I watched Power Rangers with their bad effects and everything lol.
I remember this Nickelodeon show called "Rupert" (A white bear I think named Rupert with an Asian Girl). I don't know if anybody remembers that though. Hmmmm. . .I definitely remember Full House and occasionally watching Family Matters and Fresh Prince. They weren't exactly cartoons so I wasn't interested then. On Nickelodeon, they also used to have this show called "Wild and Crazy Kids" with these teams competing through these cool challenges.
Anyway, was Saved By the Bell 80's or 90's? I forget.

Ohh, I hated Power Rangers, but I still watched it anyway.
I remember Rupret! Was he an albino? I didn't think he was a bear at first. Anyway, I liked it. They would show it in the morning though, since it was considered for really little kids. Wild and Crazy Kids definatly rings a bell...ooooohhhh I remember. I wanted to be one of those kids T__T
I think Saved by the Bell was late 80's, because I remember watching some reruns of it.
GUMBY! Now that's a show they haven't played in a LONG while.

).. Growing Pains (goodness I love this show!!! I used to think Kirk Cameron [sp?] was cute and the guy who played Ben.. when he was older of course!!)...
Yessss!! I remember "Wild & Crazy Kids".. it had like color coordinated teams.. like blue team and red team and purple.. whatever else!! LOL.. they used to do these obstacle courses.. it was fun to watch...
Anyone remember that show on Nickelodeon that's called something like "MONSTERS".. it had these freaky little monsters that lived in sewers or something.. one was purple.. one had stripes (not sure.. and one definitely had this weird body with human-like hands holding its eyeballs... eeekkk. I hated that show, but I ALWAYS seemed to watch it... so weird. >_<

Ahhh Real Monsters! I remember that one! It's about Ickus, Krum, and er..I don't remember the other name of the monstar. She was a stick though (literally, lol). I didn't like it, but I watched it anyway. I liked their teacher though, who wore heels
Afraid of the Dark...I only watched a couple of the shows, because I was too scared to watch most of them

Did anyone watch the movie that they aired like a year ago?
CLARISSA EXPLAINS IT ALL is the show you're looking for. She was soooo cool >__< I liked her room, it was really unique. Furgasion annoyed me though, lol (her brother).

You know, I remember watching Brady Bunch reruns a LOT as a kid. Haha, I always felt extremely bad for Jan and I loved when Marcia got her nose hit by a football. I always had the bad luck of missing the movies when they played it though - I couldn't stay up til' 12.
Ahhh. . .real monsters! Haha, the umbrella stick that had black and white stripes with big lips - I remember her! That was one weird show.
I was extremely afraid to watch "Are you Afraid of the Dark?". On that topic, they also showed Animorphs as a TV show - that dude that was Ice man in X-2 was the leader that turned evil I think. That freaked me out too because anybody that you loved could be one of those evil alien things. . .
Speaking of scary, I was absolutely horrified of the Goosebumps shows on Fox! When the theme song came up it really did send goosebumps up my spine: I tried to switch the channel as fast I could so I wouldn't have to hear it.
I remember that name of the Clarissa show and the brother's anme sounds vaguely familiar as well. I don't remember the show though. . . .Wait a second, did a dude have a ladder and climbed up to Clarissa's window?

I didn't reallt like Real Monsters. I thought it was dumb and I think "Are You Afraid of the Dark" scared me. So did Goosebumps. I used to watch Animorphs every once in awhile.
I love Nick@Nite. I watch almost every night. I watch the Cosby Show, Roeanne, Full House, and The Fresh Prince on there. I love watching reruns of all these old shows. They are so interesting.
I watch Family Matters once in awhile too. I love Urkel. He is so weird but so funny.

Please tell me there is one of you out there who remembers VH1's Pop Up Videos.
Here's a description from a fanlisting, since I really can't describe it and making it sound interesting at the same time, lol

| QUOTE |
Featuring five of VH1's most popular music videos per episode, this influential daily series introduced the “info-nugget,” a graphical factoid that “pops” onto the screen with amusing facts about the video it springs onto, including behind-the-scenes stories from the actual video shoot and biographical information on the individual artist. So, the basic premise is, little windows pop up during select music videos with bits of information in them. You learn fun facts about just about anything. This is an example from the Police video, "Every Breath You Take". The bubble says, "Every breath you take through a cigarette contains 60 cancer-causing chemicals." |
I was younger than 10 when I watched it, but I still loved it anyway. I got all excited and everything once a facted "popped" up, and trying my best to read it.

I've only ever say VH1 for the first time a few years ago so I’m afraid I’ve never seen the pop up videos, but it's a brilliant channel at least when compared to MTV (although I’m fairly sure both channels are produced by the same company).

although my favourite music channel has to be the Amp.
As a child of the 90's (I suppose) the TV wasn't half bad, Frazier particularly sticks out in my head as the best sit com to come out of America, the wit and Humour in that show was head and shoulders above the competition and the early Daphne - Nails interactions were ingenious.
There was also the brilliant Red Dwarf, Faulty Towers and Father Ted this side the Atlantic which could all definitely put up a challenge to Faulty Towers as the best British Comedy of all time.
On a whole the 90's wasn't a bad decade, the 00’s still have a lot to prove.

oh my goodness! Pop Up Videos!!! I don't have Vh1 here in my town of Toronto, Canada, but we have a station called MuchMoreMusic that plays Pop Up Videos on weekends and my family and i sit, watch, laugh, and enjoy the music of the fascinating show.
I must say though, one of the greatest shows of the 90's had to be Dr. Dress Up. I hear that in America they had someone named Mr. Rogers, but i never heard of him until i was 11. I always preferred Dr. Dress Up and his train and his puppets.
Also, Boy Meets World was one of the greatest shows ever created (in my opinion of course), along with Roseanne, Full House, Family Matters, Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. Oh, how i miss those great shows, though there are still re-runs.
Just like mostly everyone else, 'Are You Afraid of The Dark?' scared the wits out of me and i never watched a full episode, or else i got nightmares.
There's another show, i cannot remember what it was called, but it was a family of dinosaurs, acutally they were more like people breeded with dinosaurs, and, well that's all i remember, but i used to watch that, and Power Rangers too, but lets not talk about that.

I just found this topic here!
I think my four favourite Tv-Shows of the 90's (without simpsons) are:
Third place: Family Matters and Knight Rider
Second Place: I don't know how it's called in English, it's about Al Bundy and his Family
First Place: Tha A-Team.
I was kind of surprised that none of you mentioned A-team before...
Hannibal, Face, B.A. and especially Murdoch are definately the best!!!

Anyone from the UK remember Fun House?? I loved that show so much-anyone from another country who doesn't have a clue what i'm talking about i'm really sorry but i want to find another person who watched Fun House, which in my opinion was the best kids game show ever t's really hard to explain but here's a description:
Two teams of two play three gungy games to win points. After each game they are asked a question worth more points. After the third game it's the Fun Kart grand prix, a race around the studio where they can earn lots and lots of bonus points. This section would be good, were it not for the fact that the karts go at around 2mph, seemingly.
The Fun HouseAt this point the winners go into the Funhouse, by far the best bit of the show where they can win some fabulous prizes. They have two minutes in order to collect the fifteen prize tags hidden around the various obsticles. Each person can only collect three tags before they have to come out, tag the other player and they do the same. One of the prize tages is the Power Prize. Picking the Power Prize means that, after answering a general knowledge question correctly, they win a distinctly good prize of an action holiday whatever.
The Crystal Maze was another one of my favourite shows!I must say however growing up in the 90's i could always find something good to watch

Boy Meets World is by far the greatest TV show ever. That show always cracked me up. Cory was my hero when I was growing up along with the ninja turtles but thats a different show. I love watching those re-runs. They never get old.
Family Matters and Full House and Saved by the Bell were the other great 90s TV shows and I watch them all when they are on. I have a had a huge crush on Kelly from Saved by the Bell, I was so jealous of Zac Morris.
Aww.... good times.

DoubleD I think the reason you have not seen A-Team or Knight Rider listed is that they were early to mid 80's shows in the US. I am not sure when they aired in other countries. My wife spent a big portion of her childhood overseas and I know they were usually several years behind on US television shows.
Besides everyone knows they greatest 90's TV show was the Power Rangers. I think I was the only twenty something watching the show.

But they ruined it for me when they replaced three of the actors to make the movie. After seeing the movie it was never the same.

I'm only 14 so I don't remember alot of the 90's shows. I do watch alot of reruns though. I watch Full House all the time. I love it! The Fresh Prince of Bellair is great too. Most of the shows mentioned on here, I hadn't watched until 04/05, because that's the time I got dish network, which offered more channels than public of course, and I fell in love with the shows. I was 6 in 1998, so I don't remember a thing. But, I do remember that Pokemon was my favorite show at the time! I have no idea why I liked it back then, but I just did.
And Full House, Step By Step, Family Matters, Cosby Show, Saved By the Bell, I watch those practically everyday! I'm also disappointed; they don't show Clarissa Explains it All anymore, and I remember watching it last year, being curious if she would ever get together with that guy in the green shirt...
Oh, and didn't Furgison remind anyone of Percy? Not like the guy who plays Percy, but that he could be perfect for the part?
Hehe, anyway, I also get this channel that's called Nick Gas, and it shows (Super)Double Dare, Hidden Temple, the one with the mega mountain, and I wish that they were still played at times...
But, I have to say, my favorite show from the 90s is either Figure it Out ( I just love Danny Timbereli on that), Full House, or Cosby Show.

As I live in Australia, I used to watch a lot of Australian shows such as
Home and Away,
Neigbours (both of them are still continuing on)
Skippy, (the kangaroo - I have fond memories of that

),
The Spellbinder, and
The Round the Twist (was that awesome or not!?).
Hmm...I have a feeling that many people will probably not know those shows above, so I'll mention the American shows that I remember watching --
Fraiser and
Gladitors (sp?) -- did anyone used to do a Gladitor competition in the school playground against someone? he he. Another 90s show that I was obsessed with was
Lois and Clark *sigh* I was obsessed with Clark...But looking back.. geez!

Oh, I think it is towards mid or late 90's but I used to watch
The X-Files and
Buffy the Vampire Slayer (I know it's more of 00's but it began in '96 or '97 and I remember the lines about James Spader *sigh*) Of course, we can't forget about this show,
Friends, which I think the early days was quite good compared to the later ones in 00s.
As for the British shows - I remember seeing
Keeping up Appearances,
The Fawlty Towers (actually I don't think that is 90s! sorry!),
Simple Life (not sure if that's the correct title)...
Man, didn't I watch a lot of TV during the 90's!

And I was only allowed to watch for a hour a day...

Gladiators was the best show ever. The UK version was great

It used to be on every Saturday night and i loved it. Does anyone remember one of the Gladiators called Wolf- he was so grumpy.I was so upset when it ended

but now it's repeated on one of the Satellite TV channels so i can still watch it!!
Keeping Up Appearances is another show that's repeated on Satellite tv these days, and i have to admit it is quite funny. "It's pronounced
bouquet spelt b-u-c-k-e-t!" Anyone who has seen this will know what i mean. She was always interfering in others lives and was determined to let everyone know that she was better with elaborate plans-which most of the time spectaculary failed. A great show
Saved by the Bell was another show i watched sometimes, and i have to admit that i did watch Sabrina the Teenage Witch. That kept me entertained

What about Boy Meets World? Anyone else like that show? It was great. Too bad it only airs at like 1 or 2 in the morning....I wish they would do a reunion show or something.
I also loved Full House, Fresh Prince, Family Matters, Saved by the Bell, and the like.

I was a fan of Boy Meets World. I thought the episode where Eric does Shakespeare and gets a role on "Kid Gets Acquainted with the Universe" was a funny.
Fresh Prince was great. I was never a fan of Roseanne or Seinfeld, though.
Now, American Gladiators. They have started airing it on ESPN Classic. It is much more cheesy than I remember it. Still, I admit that at the end of my freshmen year of college (Spring, 2004), I collected money from guys in my dorm and we set up an American Gladiator course in the halls during Finals. The 15 foot slip-and-slide part was everyone's favorite. I never understood why we didn't get in trouble for doing it.

Saved By the Bell!!! That program was brilliant, I've seen every single episode (except 1 which never seemed to be aired in the UK for some reason) but the college years that followed was poor. I liked the wedding in Las Vegas - that was nice with all the old characters coming back! I watched Sabrin a lot too, what young kid/teenager didn't?!
Wow I remember Gladiators too! My favourite was Jet until she had that fall and she had to stop. I remember Wolf - he was such a sore loser! I remember he used to push Ulrika over if he lost - it was quite funny actually!
Not sure if it was 80s or 90s, but you've got to love Takeshi's Castle! That was brilliant! I still watch the repeats all the time! The high rollers was my favourite game, it was hilarious!
We can't forget Only Fool and Horses - the chandelier incident! God that was F-U-N-N-Y!!!!! I was just watching the top 40 moments the other day and that only got no2! I was sure it would get no1!!!
Yeah, Fawlty Towers was also brilliant - John Cleese (Nearly Headless Nick

) was so funny!

This may make me sound.. well, however you construe it, but I love Roseanne! Starring Roseanne Barr and John Goodman?
I remember being 6 years old and sitting in my Mom's room watching that show, so it's obviosuly been a favorite for quite some time. I don't really know what about it appeals to me, probably the sarcasm and witty retorts at eachother, though in need of refining (now that I'm looking back at them).

Oh dear! I loved Saved By the Bell! "It's alright cause I'm saved by the bell...". I use to watch that in the early mornings and when I'd get home from school! I rememeber the one about Jessie taking the caffiene pills....remember they did that music video and she was singing "Im So Excited"? I remember the College Years, but they were not that great in my opinion! My favorite episode was when Jessie and Slater got locked in the storage room during the dance! She use to get so mad when he called her "mama" or "babe". And the wedding with Zach and Kelly was great!

I also watched Sabrina The Teenage Witch! (I liked the movie too!) Although I think I only watched the first or second season than grew out of it.
I probably know every episode of Full House, lol. That was one of my favorite shows, if I find it on Tv when I'm flipping through the channels, I will still stop and watch it! I also watched Boy Meets World and Dawson's Creek.

I used to love watching kids gameshows. there was one called Funhouse on CITV in Britain which I absolutely loved, presented by Pat Sharpe who also turned up in a video about learning the keyboard. The bit at the end where they go into the assault course was great - there used to be a place called Little Marco's which had something simmilar near where I lived and I had a few of my birthday parties there. There was another one called The Movie Game presented by John Barrowman who later turned up in Torchwood which I watched all the time.
I used to watch an Australian series too, called Heartbreak High which I really liked. Also, when I went to stay with my grandparents in thte holidays they would show a series on tv called Spellbinder which I got absolutely addicted to.

I was born in '94, but I still watch a lot of the shows, like Fresh Prince of Bel-Air and Full House, today. My favorite one that I used to watch was Arthur, which was on PBS and Zoom! Haha, they were so cool; my brother and I actually watched Arthur the other day and were trying to remember all their names before they would say them... Umm, The Big Comfy Couch was the best show ever, I think. Did anyone else watch that? Please say yes

Umm, I watche Fresh Prince, Full House, Boy Meets World, which is great and I miss it, Hey Arnold, Rugrats (which the new one they have when they're teens is terrible), The Animaniacs, Doug, Family Matters, Step by Step, Saved by the Bell (when I can catch it), Clue (or get a clue or something...about the rich dumb blond and her friends), Sabrina the Teenage Witch, and Rocko's Modern Life.

I did a lot of that, haha.
I don't understand why they stopped playing a lot of them or show them in the early morning; they're way better than a lot of stuff on today, especially kid's stuff. I mean Lizzie McGurie was the original Hannah Montana, and most of those little kids probably have never even heard of her. I used to love Hilary Duff; she was my "Miley Cyrus" and way better than her, too.

Isn't Boy Meets World still on at like two in the morning? I haven't been able to find Lizzie McGuire on any channel at any time, and it really depresses me, that was my show! They show Hannah Montana like a million times a day, the least they could do is put Lizzie one once a day instead of one of the HM's? Right? I also love Sabrina the Teenage Witch and Sister, Sister...they are amazing

Lets go Children of the 90's! Cause when I was your age, Pluto was a planet!
Anyways.... Strange how all the good stuff from our childhood was Japanese, the cartoons. Sailor Moon, Gundam Wing/ Seed/ the good ones, Pokemon (it started out in Japan), Digimon. Toonami was pretty much the best thing ever.Tears... I miss it already.
But definetly, X-Files is my show. Still. And I saw someone with the screenname Lord Skinner, and I definitely think I hugged my computer. And now I wanna watch more of season 9. Anyways.... ER, Gilmore Girls, Angel, Buffy the Vampire Slayer. See a patern coming on? Ready...? The Practice, JAG, and since I feel these belong here. MASH and Cheers. Mostly cause that right there's my childhood.
And since we're talking 90's, what aboot Disney! The art was still good, the hand't made a gazillion remakes of the same story, and we all still have them memorized. Don't deny it. You've broken out in "Oh I just can't wait to be King" and "Sha la la la la la Kiss the girl". Incase that's just me.
