Do you remember when GoF came out and it seemed like there were endless scenes released in advanced...well I think the actual number was more like 10 or so, but the point is that they released a lot of the movie, some of the best parts, before the movie was actually released. I for one wasn't a big fan of this; I felt like I had seen half the movie before I even went to the theater! Granted, it was my choice to watch those clips.
That said, do you think they'll do the same for OoTP?
How would you feel about it if they did?
and what scenes do you think they'll release if they do do it?

Well, that's good advertising, isn't it? =) I do think they will do the same thing again, simply because it will attract more viewers. Personally, I don't have a problem with that, considering the fans have a choice to watch or not watch those scenes.
As for what will be released. Oh, gosh.. I really don't know. But I'm sure they will not release the Ministry scene, because it is the most important one in the movie.

I dunno...it is a strange issue! I don't want to ruin the film for myself but at the same time I want to see the material...I don't know...I don't know what I am oin' to do...lol...they will do the same thing again, but because the film will include too many things, they may not show all of them...I think that DOM will not be shown, only a few scenes because it is the best thing in the movie...only in trailers, you know, quick scenes of battle...

i think we will get scenes in advanced. probably a DA scene, umbridge introducing herself, maybe a scene before hogwarts( Figg, dementors, etc.), a luna scene to maybe. i was wondering. has mundungus been cast, because Figg is and i really want to see her beating him with her grocery bag like in the book. just wondering.

Advance-release scenes, from a studio perspective, makes sence. It builds hype and aleviates some fan worries (potentially). If it worked before, you can bet that they'll do it again.
From a fan persepective, though, advance-release scenes are, to borrow from another fanasy story, a bit like Turkish Delight. You want it, it fills you up for the moment, but leaves you wanting more, and when you do get more, it isn't as filling. If you see the whole movie at once, it is a whole and wonderful thing. If you see parts of it before hand, their scenes can bring down the mood of the entire film potentially, and will break you out of the raptured moment of the film. I hate it when that happens.
That being said, I'll probobly watch any pre-released scenes that I find.

What I really want to be in the 5th movie is the Occulmency, and the part where Harry sees his parents. That is a must-have in the movie. I also want to see the DA meetings, the kiss, Fred and George with their big exit, and Harry talking to Sirius through Umbridge's study. And all that I have listed will probably think that all of that will be in there, too. YEAH!

I like to see a few of the scenes, because it gives you hints on how the movie is going to go, and what kind of style the director is going for in the movie. Plus, we're already gonna see some scenes in the trailer anyway.

i hope we do...isn't that the best part about movies?? that we get 2c scenes in advance?? well...i just think that the anticipation will grow for he movie if they show scenes. but not 2 many of course! not like GoF where they showed like all the important parts of the movie. cause that just gives it away. just enough 2 make a whole lot of pple want 2c it. (though...who doesn't????)

I hope they don't release to many scenes because i don't want to know much about this one otherwise i'll be sitting the cinema thinking. I've seen this and i don't want to.
Yes i usually watch them if they are there which is my fault but it is hard to resist temptation.
Here's hopeing that they don't realease to many scenes.

I don't think they'll be releasing many scenes as Order of the Phoenix has that much. This is a site with various clips just introducing the characters and saying what they think about being their character from the Order of the Phoenix. There are several clips each with a different topic like The Kiss, Ron, Dumbledore's army, it's quite fun to watch. Mind you, if you check it out, watch one at a time and if it doesn't have any sound, refresh it and try that one again cuz it happened with me - http://www.comingsoon.net/news/movienews.php?id=17796 it might seem bad quality before you click it, but it becomes better. You get to hear Luna Lovegood's voice here and I think it's absolutely hilarious because it's actually dreamy sounding.

Kirstin <3-No you dont make up your own answers, you have to do the quizzes in the Sorting forum which can be found in Newbies central and you do the quizzes there and you should stay on topic and watch your Netspeak as it is not aloud.
OK,well i think they are bound to realease a few scenes becuse fans are going to be wanting more. I meen, ive watched to teaser trailer about 100 time as im so physced for the movie.

Most movies now seem to be doing that, or have been showing scenes in advance for some time, including Harry Potter. I would hope to see some clips from the movies, just to see how it is and what we'll get a taste of when we all go to see the movie. They did it for Goblet of Fire so I think they'll do it for OoTP.

I wasn't obsessed with Harry Potter last year so i had no idea they showed scenes in advance! I guess it makes everyone want to see the movie more. I hope they show little clip its from the movie so we can see what it looks like!

I for one absolutely cannot wait until the movie is released, which is coincidentally the same day as my birthday! Unfortunately, I have to admit that i too would be tempted to watch the scenes in advance, however, i would prefer to see the movie and still have the full sense of suspense without it being spoiled. Of course i would know what happens in advance seeing as ive read the books ten fold, as im sure many of you have too. Well, from a filmaker's standpoint this technique, however unadmireable by us obssessed, is fantastic advertisment for the movie. I'm afraid that they will play scenes before the actuall release of the movie. I suppose we'll all just have to wait untill the time comes to actually find out!!!

for thos of us that have read the book a million times, the movie still adds a sense of suspense because, when we read the books, we get our own pictures that our mind creates and when a director decides to use a book as his or her basis, he or she blows the details so much out of proportion that you might as well send them to the moon.
get my idea? the thing i hate the most is that we have to wait years before the movie comes out.
Well we have had lots of scenes in advance havent we?
Ive seen so many and some of the most important bits like the kiss and the fighting and all that which, is annoying as now i am even more desperate to see the film and 2 part of me feels stupid for watching them because i feel ive ruined alot of the film for myself.
