I was listening through my cd collections and I heard this song, which I used to absolutely adore, and it's by the band Five for Fighting. Although it's a bit of an obvious choice, I really think it goes well with Harry's life. It's called Superman (it's not easy). Here's a small portion of the lyrics:

After I finish reading HArry Potter and the HAlf-blood prince the first song I heard from the radio was Boulevard of Broken Dreams by Green day and I think that it fits harry's situation after the sixth book.

First of all I would like to agree with manu_r/hr on the song 'Accidentally In Love' that is a great song for Ron and Hermione!
Well of course the beautiful Harry Potter classical music! Other than that, I would have to say Natasha Bedingfield's song 'Wild Horses'. It is quite a sad song but when I listen to it I think of Harry and everything that he has been through....I feel quite bad for him but I think the song seems to embody what he is feeling. I think "The music of the night" from the musical Phantom of the opera could -at least mostly- by Snape's theme. As nearly always the song doesn't fit exactly but I think in most parts it does

O MY GOSH! I just found the perfect song for Harry Potter. So perfect, I am starting to make a window's movie on harry potter with this song. Most of you have probably never heard of it, because it is by a christian rock band called Casting Crowns, and they are really not all that well know, but here is the song, and the music portrays it so good as well, I just wish you could hear it! I absolutley love this song, and it really sounds good becuase especially of the instrumental sequensing. Its Drums, Lead guitar, a bit of bass guitar, but what I love is the violin ensamble. good huh?

Hmm... this might sound really strange but Miss Murder by AFI just makes me think of all the relationships in HP. No sense at all, I know. But it does it for me!

Hero from the Spiderman 2 soundtrack, by Chad Kroger and whatshisname, makes me think of Harry. It's not a perfect fit, but some parts definitely bring him to mind.

honestly i relate any song i hear to harry potter! i listen to music in bed or in the car and put harry potter scenes to it, or make a kind of 'harry potter music video' to it where one of them is actually singing...

I really relate this to almost all epic movies and books.

Oh I do this all the time but for some reason right now I can only think of one that goes with a scene in HBP...
I always think that Harry Potter would make a cool musical and I try to fit exsisting songs into scenes...
This one goes with the scene where Ron was in the hospital and kept pretending to sleep when Lav came in and I can picture Hermione singing this to him. So its Hermione expressing her feelings about the Ron/Lavender thingy...

oh it's got to be the fray "how to save a life". when ever i hear that song it reminds my of when sirius and dumbeldor died. and " killer on the loose" by thin lizzy for old voldy and "the boys are back in town" by thin lizzy for when voldy and the death eaters return(dont ask whats with the thin lizzy songs, i think i was listening to a thin lizzy record when i was reading the 4th book one time)

I have a whole cd that reminds me about hp but not because of the lyrics because I got it and then i was listening it whenever i was on veritaserum so then every time i hear it now harry potter comes to my mind.

Okay, I just read a fan fic that was centered around a song..namely "My Wish" by Rascal Flatts about Harry and Ginny and how he wrote her a letter that contained the lyrics in it....I don't know all of them, but here is the chorus.....

Your dreams stay big, your worries stay small, and you never need to carry more than you can hold and while your out there getting where your getting to I hope you know somebody loves you and wants the sames things too....yeah this, is my wish"
It was really well written when I read it. Gotta run.

Well every song I hear I can connect harry potter with.

But one song that really reminds me of it is Hero from enrique Iglesias and My Imortal From Evenesence ( is that how you spell it?) It just really reminds and it even makes me cry ( te immortal song) because when you truly think about it it is really sad

Icebox-reminds me of Draco, cause he has an icebox around where his heart used to be
Lips of an Angel-To Hermione from Ron, its just a sappy love song for them
Rockstar-reminds me of Harry and him wanting to be a star
If Everyone Cared- a song about HP as a whole, it reminds me a little bit of the whole story line

Ok, LUV lips of an angel. I also think that what hurts the most by Rascal Flatts kinda explains how Harry come so close to his friends then they die.

Yeah I agree with "what hurts" the most it reminds me of how harry must feel inside with his parents being dead and he not knowing them except flashes of them dieing and it also reminds me of how it is with Ron and Hermione and if ron doesn't act soon he'll lose her forever.

Well I don't exactly know the name of it but I think that it is called "the rest is still unwritten". I think of that song cause it's harry's destiny and we don't know exactly what will happen and it's his choice I mean there is the prophesy but the rest is still unwritten....

Irreplacable: Ginny's song to Harry after the big breakup

It Ends Tonight: The final song when Voldy gets taken down by Harry and everyone

Shortie Like Mine: Ron's song to Hermione

God Only Knows by the beach boys would be good for a ship like harry and ginny or soemthing cos it starts

i can imagine the young marauders to rock out on stage with songs like 'we will rock you' or 'everybody get up.' that sort of thing.

This idea was my friends but it works really well and conjours up an image in your head when you hear the lyrics. She imagined Draco Malfoy singing Mouth Shut by the Veronicas to Lucius Malfoy in front of the whole schhol about becoming a death eater and how he doesnt like it etc. Here are the lyrics, read them and you'll understand :

I was just listening to the song Don't Stand So Close to me by Sting, and I think it's the perfect song for Severus/Hermione.

Oooh!! Lips of an Angel is one of my all time favorite songs!!!! Also it does fit Ron and Hermione really well!

Lets see I know one other song, besides the HP theme song, that reminds me of HP. Well...sort of! It's Before He Cheats by Carrie Underwood! It reminds me of Ron/Hermione when Ron started going out with Lavender. Then Hermione attacked him with a flock of birds!! You know, even though Ron and Hermione weren't going out, Hermione still felt like he was hers, and felt like he was cheating on her!
