How come, in all the footage shot so far and in all pictures taken from the set, Dan is not wearing glasses when he's in character? In the lastest video, shot when Tonks, Moody, Harry, Ron and Mr. Weasley are crossing the footbridge, Harry isn't wearing his glasses.

I hadn't noticed that before, but now that you mention it I don't think I've seen him with his glasses in any of the photos or videos either. He has them on in that promotional poster that WB released a couple months ago, but other than that he usually doesn't. I can't believe they would make Harry Potter glassless in the movie but you never really know with these guys. If they do, I wonder what their reasoning behind it will be.

Oh my god! He doesn't have his glasses!!? That's just stupid. I mean he already has BLUE eyes in the movie, should they take away his glasses too? Well, they must think that he looks "cooler" without them or something (stupid) like that...

I deffinetly hope that they're not going to chance that thing too! I still can somehow understand why they have to cut half the book away and chance scenes, but I couldn't possibly understand why Harry couldn't wear classes. It just sounds so unbelivable! I hope you are wrong in this.

Yeah I totally agree. WHY IS HE NOT WEARING THE FREAKING GLASSES?
In the book I think, it said that he had poor eye sight so he had glasses.
And I wear glasses and I've been told that you can't gain your eyesight
back unless you have eye surgery .. and I don't think the Dursley would
pay for something like that ... so all in all WHY ISN'T HE WEARING THEM?!

Dan doesnt have any glasses on because the pictures you saw were just rehearsal pictures. He does have them in the movie but he doesnt wear them at rehearsal. They only wear costumes during filming. Otherwise they do it without them.

Yeah like stein6 said it must probably be a rehearsel.Obviously they won't film HP without the grat Harry Potter not wearing his glasses!!.Anyway he would look dumb without those glasses.

He is suppose to be wearing his glasses. That's part of the part of Harry Potter. If for any reason he doesn't it might be just a simple error like newcon2u said.

Harry is wearing glasses. If you take a look in the gallery you'll see. There is one where he isn't wearing glasses, but that's just because he's fighting the demntors, and he looses his glasses, remember?

I'm with Malu Weasley on this one! Harry without glasses isn't Harry! I never noticed that! I can't believe it! The directors have done it again! Don't they realise that there are things in Harry Potter that are important?!

I have seen a couple of those pictures where he doesn't have the glasses on. I think those were probably just pictures they got during a filming rehearsal. I mean, there's no point in wearing fake glasses when you are not even filming! But, if they really dont make him wear the glasses, that's really stupid because Harry Potter just isn't himself without the glasses! But, yeah, i think the videos and stuff where he is not wearing them were either just a rehearsal picture or a part where his glasses fall off.

I believe for some of the photos he is wearing glasses, i happen to have one on my desktop, and he is indeed. And the times he wasnt in 'off the camera' photo's where probably rehersal, or maybe they fell off in the scene. I dont think the film makers would be that dumb.

Also, about the eyes. If you look at the photos, they are indeed green. Seems like WB finally got it right.

I have noticed his face has been "naked" as my friends would say. it would be such a disgrace to harry potter kind if he didnt have his glasses! if he doesn have his glasses in #5 i WILL write a letter to the director.

I wouldn't worry about his glasses. They couldn't change that because it wouldn't make sense...from the story itself and because of continuity from the first four movies. Like someone said earlier (in whichever pictures you guys are looking at), they must be rehersal ones. And besides, in this day and age, if they can make someone who sings horribly into the next big pop star...they can CGI in the glasses

You're right! I think they might have been taking the glasses off for appearance I don't really think that fits the character. Do you? Maybe Dan was just more comfertable without wearing the glasses...?

I don't think they'd leave out his glasses. It's like when someone thought that his scar wasnt there but it turned out his hair was just covering it up. Maybe the pictures you've seen have been cut from the film or something, his round glasses are one of his main physical features, they wouldnt *forget* them. =]

But then I was liek no wait he really does have glasses. So yes he has glasses. Thank God too if they took thsoe away I don't know what I'd do without them.

I hear JKR gets really mad when they dont show Harry without his glasses, like in this magazine thing something happened when they drew Harry or something in some country, I dont know, but she said 'dont they know its a clue to his vulnurability??' so they must be important or something. Meh.. I'm so confused. There are tons of pictures on movies.com with him and his glasses.. a few of them.. however.. he's not wearing them.. and in the trailer.. he wasn't wearing them for most of the time.. maybe half the movie he'll have them and half he won't..

Has anyone ever noticed that Moaning Myrtle and Harry Potter are wearing the exact same glasses? I noticed this in GoF. What are the chances that 50 years ago they'd made glasses designed exactly the same as Harry's current ones *cackles*. Just kidding, I thought it was kinda funny though..What else..ah, did the Dursley's buy Harry glasses?? That seens kinda unlike them.
