Firstly, make sure you credit the artist and the song, else we're going to have lawsuits and nasty e-mails from people about copyright.

Secondly, try and keep it short. Just one or two songs - we don't really want essays.

I don't want to post a gazillion lyrics to each song, but I'll edit this and post links late if somebody wants them. For now, if its alright, I'll just list the songs, and why I like them? The lyrics in these songs either made me cry, laugh , smile or just simply made me feel something. Okay... on wit hthe list then (in no particular order.)

Noise and Kisses (The Used): Why do I like this song? Well, other than the fact that its so aching and desperate, I feel like its something everybody should relate to. With Bert's voice on the verge of screaming throughout the entire song, you're just left on edge of your seat until he finally does.

Perfect Fit (the Dresden Dolls): I'm bad at everything. This song lets me know that, thats alright. Amanda Palmer is my hero/idol/soul mate/lyrical equivalent.

Early Sunsets Over Monroeville (MY Chemical Romance):It just touches me when a person writes a song for somebody they love, and Gerard wrote this song for Mikey, because he remembered they used to watch Dawn of The Dead together when they were little, and holy.... Just awww. I mean the song is so sad, beautfiul and tragic, so, its just....a great song.

Stolen (Dashboard Confessional): Its simple. The cheesiest, greatest line written in a love song is :"You have stolen my heart." Chris Crabba should seriously do one of those tapes for, like read along books. I'd listen to him talk all day.

Build God, Then We'll Talk (Panic! At The Disco): Okay... The Sound of Music? Yeah, Ryan Ross is my favorite person on the planet, right after Amanda Palmer. I mean.... who can make a song about prostitution/cheating husbands and drugs so catchy? That's why these lyrics get to me. Its not possible for me to hear this song ,and get sick of it. I can't. Its catchy as all get out. Its probably that sound of music break down of "those are a few of your least favorite things..."

A Gorey Demise (Creature Feature Music): This is the first time I've heard a band put obituaries to song, and you know what? It really made me laugh.

Road To Joy (Bright Eyes): All I really need to say is that Conor Oberst is a lyrical genius, and hopefully you would all understand.

The (After) Life Of The Party (Fall Out Boy): Pete Wentz doesn't make writing fair. He doesn't make life fair. and that's why I love this song. The lyrics are something ridiculous. I say that because there really is no other word for it. "Cut it loose, watch you work the room." Make him stop. Please. Better yet... Keep him going. Forever.

Broken Bride, Part 1 (Ludo): Oh, you've never heard this song? I feel sorry for you. You see, LUDO has this amazing rock opera out, and one of the songs is called Broken Bride. The way Andrew twists and weaves words around each other is gorgeous. He is so tragic. (now signed to Island. woo-hoo for the guys) [[dont have the lyrics for this one, sorry. but go listen to this song.]]

Blue And Yellow (The Used): Do you have friend? Can you make them listen to this afteryou guys have a fight? You'll be best buds all over again. The lyrics in this song make me feel better, and good, and even if it is lame, I feel like people actually matter when I hear this song.

Plus 44- Baby Come On. The lyric "The past is only the future with the lights on" is really clever. Or at least I thought so.

Bright Eyes- Haligh, Haligh, A Lie, Haligh. Again, just because Conor's got a way with words, making phrases that don't sound like they rhyme, actually rhyme.

Lydia-Her and Haley because it's just a great song. the lines "Minutes call for longer, finerprints show loss of blood. Being perfect was always hard, wasn't it?" really kind of hit me when I heard them. They are sung so passionately, and I love Lydia. They are a really great band.

Taking Back Sunday-There's No "I" In Team because John Nolan should always write lyrics. Forever.

Brand New-Seventy Times 7 because its the song that goes with the one before this. Jesse Lacey's lyrics are painful to listen to. On all the records, actually. And I still have to always listen to them, though. Its an addiction.

Very repetitive lyrics, but awesome at the same time, if you've never checked these guys out, I seriously recommend them, they're awesome. I obviosuly love this song because it's about sticking to the toad lady whom I hate with a burning passion. And Harry and the Potters have some great songs and they're all based on the books. Very cool band.

Wonderwall- Oasis I love this song. It's got great lyrics and is a super catchy song and my friends are very musically gifted and do great covors of it, so it's become a little more personal for me.

Bedshaped- Keane Keane is one of my all time favorite bands. I saw them live and definately bawled during this song, as well as "She Has No Time." This song kept me going through hard times so it will always be a wonderful song to me.

Glass to the Arson- Anberlin Brilliant lyrics. I knew a guy that was kind of like this, very shallow and lied a lot, so it hit somewhat close to home. The funniest thing is that the guy I knew that is kinda of like the person talked about in the song actually introduced me to the wonderful music of Anberlin. Funny ol' world, innit?!

Minority- Green Day Ahhh, Green Day. This is one of their best songs, in my opinion. I have been a humungous fan of Green Day for the longest time, ever since I can remember I've loved them. I got the chance of a lifetime to see them live and I bought the tickets two weeks before the show and ended up ten feet away from the stage. It was mind blowing in so many ways.

A Decade Under the Influence- Taking Back Sunday I have an official Taking Back Sunday shirt with lyrics of this song on it. It's got a picture of three sheep, and there is a knfe sticking out of the third and, it reads "To hell with you and all your friends" above the picture. I love that shirt...
