Ferreus Opus meaning: "Hard Work" in Latin.

2. Ingredients needed:

- 4 grams of pixie skin
- 22 dragon scales
- 17 and a half beetle eyes
- A Unicorn horn.
- Two litres of doxy blood
- 5 tear drops
- A splash of morning dew
- Cinnamon (sp?)

3. How to prepare each ingredient for brewing< ex. cut the gurdy root into 1 millimeter pieces>:

1) Firstly, slice up the pixie skin into 1.25 cm pieces.

2) Next, crush the dragon scales with the flat side of a bronze dagger to release the green pus (careful not to get any on the skin)

3) Scrape the top layer off of the Unicorn horn.

4) Dilute the doxy blood and leave to simmer for 3 days.

5) Freeze the tear drops into small ice cubes and then leave under a damp rock for 46 hours.

6) Collect the morning dew on the day of the half moon. Boil it and then leave to cool.

7) Grate the cinnamon into little sprinkles.

8) Cut the beetle eyes into bitesize pieces.

Sprinkle the cinnamon and Unicorn horn scrapings on top before squeezing in the small amount of pus from the dragon scales. 1. Potions name ~ Leara Transforma
(okay a little translation "leara" is word i made up... it is said like leer-ra. i made it up randomaly one day and fell in love with it! lol it mean "jewel". the "transforma" bit i made on the spot...means basically what it sounds like..."transform!)

2. Ingredients needed ~
2 branches Mistletoe
a pint of Essance of Rosewood
7 Perfumed Elder plant berries
Fluxweed - 10 of its blue flowers
a pint of Syrup of Hellebore
and finall 5 unicorn hairs

3. How to prepare each ingredient for brewing ~
2 branches Mistletoe - chop into 5mm pieces. any left over parts under 5mm throw away.
a pint of Essance of Rosewood - make sure it has been stored in at room temperature for 5 days before you use it.
7 Perfumed Elder plant berries - gather the berries a day or two before it needs to be used and then soak in "Perfume de Rose" for 3 hourse before you use it.
Fluxweed - 10 of its blue flowers - gather whenever, can be used at any time but be sure to grind the flowers to a powder.
a pint of Syrup of Hellebore - obtain a day before brewing.
and finally 5 unicorn hairs - too be cut into 2mm pieces. chuck any left overs.

leave an empty caludron on heat for 10 minutes
add a pint of Essance of Rosewood to an empty caludron. and then mix the essance 2 times, first anti-clockwise and then clockwise.
add the cut pieces o the 2 branches Mistletoe and stir as you did before.
next come the pieces of the 5 unicorn hairs. do not mix after you add these. leave the caludron to simmer with the ingrediants for exactly 8 minutes.
after that time add the 7 Perfumed Elder plant berries. and wait until the mixture turned bright red...blood red before you continue.
the Fluxweed (the powdered 10 of its blue flowers) come next. levae the potion to simmer fora further 3 minutes.
then add a pint of Syrup of Hellebore. add this is and then mix once clockwise, once anti-clockwise and then 7 times clockwise. take the potion of the heat and leave to settle for 12 minutes.

well the words mean jewel transform - not as literal as its meaning this potion actually transforms you! if you drink it you become beatiful...a liviing gem, or jewel. this was used by many witched in the past that needed to lure young muggle men into traps to rob them or to take out certain organs for Dark potions. it was also used by many girls who were just find up with what they looked like. this potion only lasts....24 hours.

Crush the Lacewing flies
Whisk the goose egg yolk untill a stench of greasy hair reaches your nostrils

One cup tomato soup
6 Billywig stingers
1 kilogram of crushed dark chocolate
2 1/2 kilograms of Gillyweed
Hellebore (2 kilograms)
A piece of your own hair
Equipment Needed:
Cauldron (size 2, pewter)
Stirring Rod
1 container (vial, cup, bottle etc.)
& chopping board
Preperation of Ingredients:
Seperate the crushed dark chocolate into two piles of 500grams
Method:
1. Turn your cauldron up to 100 degrees
2. Add in one pile of dark chocolate and stir three times in a clockwise direction
3. Add in all 2 kilograms of hellebore
4.Then add in 3 Billywig stingers and stir 13 times in an anti-clockwise direction and 7 times clockwise
5.Leave potion for 5 minutes
6.Turn the heat down to 72 degrees and add all of the cinnamin sticks and all 2 1/2 kilograms of Gillyweed
7.Stir 7 times anti-clockwise and 15 times clockwise
8.Turn cauldron down to 37 degrees and add the remaining 3 Billywig stingers

Put the eel eyes in a medium sized cauldron. Add then, in order, add the armadillo bile, the billywig stings and the acromantula venom. Stir 7 times clockwise, 13 counterclockwise. The potion should look acid green and goopy. Add the mushroom roots, one at a time, and wait for the roots to dissolve. You will no it dissolved for it will look like tar. Refrigerate.

The end result should look like tar, smell of petrol, with a tarlike vivoscity.

Effect:
The drinker will have fungi all over his face. The longevity of the effect is based on how much is drunk.

2 vials essense of belladonna
17 hairs from a unicorn tail
1 chopped cabbage
The juice from 3 squished cockroaches
Hot water

Instructions:
In a cauldron, mix the octopus legs, the spider leg and the belladona essense. Put heat on high and let the belladonna boil. Fill the cauldron 2/3 of the way full with hot water. Wait for the potion to boil before adding in the cabbage carefully. Sprinkle in the unicorn hairs next and stir 17 times clockwise and then 17 times counterclockwise. Put the juice of the cockroaches into the mixture and stir.

The end result should look like water and have no smell. When cooled, it will taste of bubble juice and soap. When hot, it'll burn the tongue and taste of hot water.

Ingredients:
3 cockroach eyes
1 cup leech juice
2 1/2 ounces caterpillar blood
1 kilogram crushed cabbage
Water

Instructions:
Pour the water so it is 3/4 of the way up a size 3 cauldron. Boil it 10 minutes. Add half the cabbage into a cauldron and stir twice clockwise. Add the leech juice and half of the caterpillar blood. Stir 15 times clockwise and 13 times counterclockwise. Add the remaining caterpillar blood and the cockroach eyes. Stir 13 times clockwise, thrice counterclockwise. Let sit 4 minutes. Stir twice counterclockwise and let sit 7 minutes.

The end result should resemble chunky thick blood.

Effect:
When drunk, can replenish lost blood.

Ingredients:
2 strands of hair from the back of an acromantula
3 cups of billywig blood
1 eel, dead
2 asphodel roots, chopped
6 armadillo tails
2 drops ice cold water
1 drop essence of belladonna

Instructions:
In a small cauldron, pour in 3 cups billywig blood and heat on high. Stir 2 times counterclockwise. Add the strands of hair and stir 6 times clockwise. Seperately in a bowl, combine the dead eel, armadillo tails, the water and the belladonna. Whisk it well and pour into cauldron. Stir 5 times counterclockwise. Let the mixture boil 45 minutes. Stir 8 times clockwise, 5 times counterclockwise, and repeat 10 times.

The end result should look bright red, and have no scent. It should have no chunks in it.

Effect:
Causes the drinker to make a long belch. The length of the belch consists to the amount drunk.

Potion Name: Sleeping Draught
Ingredients: 6 Doxy eggs, 2 Lacewings, 5 cups of hot milk, cinnamon (opt) for better taste
Instructions: Stir the milk for 5 minutes counter-clockwise, Drop in doxy eggs one at a time while stirring, stir those ingredients clockwise for 5 more minutes, and then add lacewings. Let sit 1 minute, then sprinkle on the (opt) cinnamon.
Effect: A sleeping aid. Works for 12 hours maximum.

Viartezious

Ingrediants
- 6 Drops of Unicorn Blood
- 1 Dragon Egg, Whole (Swedish Short-Snout)
- 7 Dried Oak Leaves
- 1 Dragon Scale (The Welsh Green)
- Dark chocolate
- Powdered Moonstone
- Essence of Murtlap
- 4 Unicorn Hairs
- Pheonix Ashes
- Red Wine - Skinned grapes

Instructions
Melt the Dark Chocolate into a bucket, and then place the Swedish Short-Snout dragon egg into the chocolate, and let it sit their (with the chocoate melted, boiling) for 3 months. After this, fill you couldron (Pewter, size 2) half way with Essence of Murtlap, and place the oak leaves inside to simmer gently for 4minutes.
Chop the Welsh Green dragon scale into the smallest pieces possible (this will be difficult, for the scales are very hard). Add these to the couldron, which will immediatly begin to froth pink. Fill a jar with the froth, you will need this later.
Add 6 drops of Unicorn blood to the potion, turning it thick and silver. Let the potion simmer then for a further week, as the potion will curdle dark red. Once the potion is a dark red, add the pink froth (which would now be liquid) and stir 3 times clockwise, and add the Pheonix ashes. Let the potion sit for a further 3 months under a hot fire.
When the potion has envolved into a dark green, and has begun to let off smell, get a knife and crack the egg which is in the potion. Once the yoak has touch the potion, the potion will bubble immediatly. Let the potion bubble and then stir clockwise 4 times, and anti-clockwise 2 times. Continues stiring the potion like this for 3 days (use a charm on the wooden spoon). At the end of the three days add the 4 unircorn hairs. These need to be added by soaking them in human blood for 4 hours, until they are a deep red, can they be placed into the potion. Once they are added to the potion, poor hot water to fill the Pewter couldron. Once the couldron is full, let it simmer under a hot fire in the moonlight. During the day the potion must always ben kept in a dark place. Begin this process on full moon, and do process this for 2 months, adding a drop of human blood to the potion each morning. At the end of the month, place the powdered moonstone into the potion and watch as it curdles black. The potion will become very thick, and you must place the couldron in direct sunlight with a blue flame underneath. With a charm stir the potion 5 times clockwise and 2 times anti clockwise for 2 days. At the end of the process, poor the potion into small goblet (the potion amount will have shrunk greatly over time in the sunlight). This black liquid can be stored in the jar, but must be kept in completly darkness until drunk.

Effect
You will know you have made the potion correctly when the potion is thick and black. You must keep it in complete darkness and must only drink it on full moon, in view of the moon. After drinking this potion, drink a glass of red wine.

The finished potion gives you Viartezious. Viartezious, when made proparly, will give the drinker immortality. This ability will not last for more the rest of the drinkers life. The only way to reverse the potion is by drinking Viortezosis.

*This potion will allow the drinker to sneeze butterfly's. Just put 1 drop in someone's Pumpkin Juice, Butterbeer, etc.; 1 drop = 1 hour or sneezing butterfly fun. Drink it yourself and entertain your friends. Or give it to someone you don't like and watch them be befudled.*

1 Cobra Lily Root (shaved)

1 Hedwig feather *this will enhance the sneezing*

Directions

*Allow cauldron to get warm before starting.
*Once warm, put Butterfly Weed Balm in and allow to boil.
*Once boiling, turn heat down, add 1 Doxy Wing and stir clock wise 5 times and counter clock wise once.
*Add Cobra Lily Root, stir clock wise 5 times, by this time the potion should look like Colour Changing Ink.
*Add the other Doxy Wing, stir clock wise 5 times and counter clock wise once.
*Finally add Hedwig's feather, stir clock wise 5 times and let simmer for 2 hours.
*After simmer stir counter clock wise 5 times and put fire out. DONE!!!

3. How to prepare each ingredient for brewing< ex. cut the gurdy root into 1 millimeter pieces>: Mix the diligo powder with the levamentum essence and leave it to thicken for one day. Cut up the asphodel into centemetre large squares, discarding any which have rounded edges. Wrap the strand of hair in the roses and lay in the diligo-levamentum solution after it has been left for about 12 hours.

4. Tell what order to add ingredients: First, light a deep red fire, trying to match the shade of the petals as closely as possible and let the empty cauldron heat up for 10 minutes. Then add the asphodel squares, laying them equally along the bottom to line the cauldron and wait 5 minutes before adding the diligo-levamentum solution complete with petals and hair. The potion should change to a warm red colour after 30 minutes and should also thin out. The petals and hair strand will gradually disolve leaving a golden residue at the surface of the potion. 1) Serpenarach (the Draught of Fear)

2)(Enough for 10 people) 1 pint of Basilisk venom, 13 inches of shed snakeskin (works best if the snake is highly venomous e.g. black mamba, pit viper etc), 13ml acromantula venom, 13g of acromantula hair, dragon heartstring and 130 grams of Peruvian Instant Darkness Powder, human blood.

3)Crumple the snakeskin..

4)Basilisk Venom, blood, acromantula venom, acromantula hair, snakeskin, dragon heartsring, darkness powder

5)stir clockwise after adding the acromantula venom until the liquid turns murky lime green then stir counterclockwise after adding all of the ingredients 13 times followed by 13 times clockwise and repeat until the mixture thins to about the viscosity of water. Leave to mature for 13 days.

6) The potion will cause the drinker to go insane. They will see only darkness and, in the darkness, they will see basilisks and acromantula. They will see the creatures coming towards them and when they see it attack them, they will feel intense pain. It is described as the only thing to rival the cruciatis curse. They will experience this for up to 13 days before it begins to wear off but often, drinkers will beg for death. Ths will then cause the venom to begin to work, cuasing even more pain, then they will see the Basilisks eyes and die.

7)If brued correctly, the liquid will be the consistency of water and blood red in colour.

8) The only antidote is to drink 7 pints of liquid luck mixed with 7 tentacula leaves and 77ml polyjuice potion (with no DNA in it). It will cause the effects to cease immediately but will cause the drinker of the antidote to fall into a deep sleep from which they cannot be awakened from but will awake naturally in 137 days. they may also suffer memory loss.

Wow,this thread is really HARDCORE! The Replies on the 1st Page alone are so well thought out and articulate.That I must say that I find myself to perhaps be;a tad bit Intimidated...

I was just planning on giving the name of my Potion and describing what it does.But I think it would be quite interesting to go into detail about the minutuae.As they say,"God is in the details" After all...

For now though.I'll just say this.

Potion Name:Herculite

User Reaction:This potion gives the one who ingest it,Disproportionate Strength.It makes the user so strong in fact.That one could potentionally defeat a 12ft Cave Troll with one's bare hands,while the Herculite Potion is in effect.Mad eh!?

Brewing Difficulty:Extremely difficult to brew! Far more so even than the P.J.P. and perhaps even F.F.

How long does the effects of the potion last? 1 Hour...But all you need is to take one eyedrop worth of it.For one successfully made Vial of Herculite, could last for years! If used wisely...
