I don't have a great deal of time today unfortunately, but I just wanted to drop in briefly to tell you guys about a story I heard on the radio driving home from work tonight.

Now, I think it's a pretty reliable source - I've tried to find the story on the Real Radio Website but I can't find any showbiz news...darnit.... But anywho...

Emma Watson apparently told a Real Radio journalist today that she is having terrible trouble getting a boyfriend because boys seem to be intimidated by her. They either tease her, she said, or just aren't serious. Asked about Dan or Rupert as possible love interests, she laughed off the suggestion and said that she regards them both more as brothers and so a relationship with either wasn't on the cards.

So there you go....just thought I'd share that with you all.

I'm sure any fans of Emma would want to have a serious relationships with her. So she shouldn't have a problem getting a boyfriend! I mean, you should wait for the time that comes but not force yourself to get a boyfriend!!

What!?!? I would date her in a heartbeat. Not that Im shallow or anything, but she is attractive, smart, funny... and she plays Hermione. Im afraid that I would not be too intimidated by her, because in the end, even though she is in the movies, I am sure i could compete with her for knowledge of Harry Potter. Plus, by the interviews she has given, and clips that I have seen, I think we would have alot in common... who knows!!

I really dont understand why she doesnt have a boyfriend. She is one of the hottest actresses I can think of, and I can think of alot of them. Shes as perfect as any of them and in some cases even better. I also would go out with her in a heartbeat, and it would be a serious relationship, but unfortunately I'm in the United States so I dont believe that would be possible(I can still hope!!) I am however nonplussed by the fact that she doesnt want to go out with Dan or Ruper. They are colleagues and if she were to go out with one of them, it could affect her judgement during the filming of the movies themselves. I personally hope she doesnt go out with anyone because I'm flying to the U.K. for chreeeestmas!!

I wouldn't date her! well,thats because i'm a girl but if I was a boy I probably would! i dunno why she doesn't have a bf either! dan & rupe have gf's... I think so I dont think she could be with either of them.

I'm a girl and I would date her defenetly if I was a guy or gay. She's really pretty and has a kind of natural intellagence. I think that it's not suprising that she wouldn't want to go out with either Dan or Rupert because they work together, and they're so much in the public eye, if any of them went out with each other that would atract all kinds of (mostly annoying) attention. It's a smart plan, really.

I am a girl too & I think Emma going out w/either Rupert or Dan wouldn't work b/c the paparazzi would stake them out all the time like other celebs in the USA. Look @ all the couples that have broken up this year. If I were Emma, I would hide the relationship like other couples have done.

The three of them have literally grown up on the set. Now, they are in their upper teen years. It could very well be that they just have platonic relationships. Rupert has admitted publicly that Emma is like a sister to him. Dan, I'm not so sure. I do recall that he did admit to having a crush on her when they were younger. But now, like I said, I'm not so sure. I think she means more to him (and he to her!) than just a sibling relationship.

I'd like to think that Dan and Emma do care for one another in a romantic way. They make a very cute couple.

Hey I read this in a newspaper published here.It was long back and I don't know the date when it was published and yes she thinks that Dan and Rupet are her brothers.So nice of her!.She has shown that she has grown out of relationships like these.And right now I don't think so she has any time for boyfriends since she is into acting and she has to concentrate on her job.

I am a girl, so I wouldn't want to go out with her, but she is smart, and funny, and nice. I can totally she what she means with Rupert and Daniel. She has pretty much grown up with them on the set, and they are like older brothers. So it would be weird, espically on the set. If she went out with Rupert, what about Daniel, or vice versa. I think it would mess up the whole chemistry of the movies. They wouldn't be the same. And one of the guys would probably be left out. And what if Emma and one of the guys broke it off, it would really affect the movies. So I can totally see her point.

After watching this videot , it is hard to say that Dan and Emma don't have something going between them. It is more than just a friendship between them. All you need to do is look at their mannerisms. It's all about body language! And these two surely have it!!

well, I'm a boy, But I'm not that crazy about Emma, She's resonably attractive, smart and funny, I agree with all that but I see her recently growing less prettier, I would date her if she was my age, because when she was 13, I think she was prettier then than she is now, anyway, I always see her and Daniel as a perfect couple, They are seen so often in parties and premiers. And I didn't think that Emma can't find a boyfriend easily, not with all these guys who are dying to date her, but of course fans aren't usually serious, they might date her just because she is Emma Watson, And not because they love her, Some might really love her though, but they wouldn't treat her like a normal girlfriend, would they?
Of course not, that's why I think she and Daniel are suitable for each other, they are both celebreties, So they are both in the same social layer, I don't mean financial layers, No, I mean popularity layers.
I saw the three of them deny any relationship between each other for five years now, And I didn't know that either Daniel or Rupert had girlfriends, that would sort out the matter.
But wouldn't daniel's girlfriend be so jealous of Emma because she and Daniel are together in lots of places, they are rarely not seen together. That's why I don't think Daniel has a girlfriend, she would've been well known now to Harry Potter fans.

I love Emma, she such a cool person from what I can read and see about her on TV and in the media. Obviously I would love for Emma and Dan to be an item, I'm a big shipper for them, but it's not that big a deal! If she was looking for a boyfriend, I honestly don't know how she's not finding them. She's great!

This thread has been dead for a while. I think the main reason that she says that boys are "intimidated by her" is the fact that she is such a big star. I think that all of the young actors and actresses have mentors that help them deal with the roles of being big movie actors and actresses. Any ordinary boy would be scared to date her because they know they would be stepping in the world she lives in. She could also be using reverse psychology because I am sure she gets lots of love letters but like she says most of them might just be because she is a star and they probably don't care about the real her.

If I were Emma I wouldnt date Dan or Rup either. I do not think it would work. Too much pressure, and then if things go south you still have to work together which could be bummer.

Annnd with her considering them brothers it leaves Rup open for me!

What Emma means by guys are intimmidated by her is what other people said, she is a HUGE star so ALMOST no guy would have a chance with her. I am not really surprised that she doesn't have a bf but I am at the same time. I'm a girl so I wouldn't date her, or any of the other characters, I just don't like any of them like that.

I can understand what Emma means when she says its hard to find a boyfriend. Not that she is being picky or anything but I suppose she has to be careful after the report of her stalker. Maybe she just isn't ready yet to date or she doesn't want to make her love life public which are both wise decissions. I think in every interview she has said that Dan and Rupert are like brothers to her which is understandable when you work so close with people for a long period of time, think of it like all your class mates.

Wierd. I read an interview and it said that she was dating a guy named Tom Ducker.

All I know is, I'm not deeply interested in her. She's attractive, smart, funny, anything a guy could ask for, but I don't have a crush on her. But one of my best friends would do ANYTHING, and I mean ANYTHING, to have her as his girlfriend. I keep telling him to dream, cause that's all he'll have.

I think that maybe she is worried that some guys would only want to date her because she is famous and would only be interested in her fame and not her personality or who she really is. Pictures of the Harry Potter actress, also 17, show her in Tom Ducker's arms and the pair enjoying a holiday together in France.

They have apparently been seen in clubbing together and dining in expensive restaurant in southern coastal resort Eze, near Nice.

The Mail on Sunday says the star, who plays Hermione, also tried to buy an artwork worth around £15,000. It is by Italian artist Ben Vautier and reads "Je suis incognito ici, faites le savoir" - in English, "I'm incognito here, tell everybody".

Ali Abdelhafidh, who owns the painting at his restaurant, said: "Emma fell in love with it and offered to buy it there and then. The words on the piece seemed to sum up her evening. But sadly it just wasn't for sale.

"They arrived quietly at about 7.30pm and drank champagne and ate lobsters all night. They were clearly loving each other's company and said they were in a very romantic place, with the Mediterranean just in front of them and great music.

"It was great to see a young couple so much in love but Emma had time for everyone else, too. A lot of celebrities come here, including Elton John and Bono, but having Emma here was something special."

I so totally agree with this. I think, this partly maybe the reason why none of them seem to like each other romantically. And, I think that that's much better than bitter rivalries and stupid stuff going on the set which may cost us an HP movie.

As for Emma dating a rugby player... YAWN. If she wants to go out with someone, why should anyone have ANYTHING to say about it? I don't understand how people can get so involved in the lives of people who's jobs happen to put them in the spotlight. And that restaurant owner bothers me, because he's juicing up a simple date so he can get people to come to his place. Sheesh.

They'd broken up last thing I'd heard! In November it said on Sky News that she'd said she was 'heartbroken' after he called off their relationship ... I think he'd used one of those cheesy 'It just isn't there anymore' lines on her.

From the pictures of them together in The Sun (newspaper) they were very smiley and looked in good spirits. Johnny wore a grey coat with black shirt and jeans, Emma wore a grey dress with a black coat. All the best to them!

I thought he was dating Kirsten Dunst? Actually I heard that she dumped him because he was a minger! He lives in a flat with his mates still and has a tendency to avoid Sunday night bath time. Allegedly Ms Dunst couldn't take the dirty under pants, empty beer cans, sink full of dishes, body odour of the Razorlight frontman and gave him his marching orders.

Maybe he cleaned up his act for our classy lady...I hope so. Maybe he hasn't invited her home yet!

Yup, the Harry Potter lass had jaws dropping to floors when she was snapped with the 27-year-old Razorlight frontman at a bash in London."

They are an odd pairing, but like I say, I hope Johnny has left his drug-drink past behind. Maybe Miss. Watson is just the type of person he needs around him nowadays.
