Dumbledore and Harry. Harry is great with DADA. He knows how to use his wand. Then again so does Dumbledore. They would be good battling on the same side.

Dumbeldore & Harry...because Dumbledore knows just about anything and he is awesome with spells and Harry Is geat with the defense against the dark arts. and with them together they could do anything even take over the world but it is also dumbledore and harry so i dont think they would take over the world.

Dumbledore and Harry. Dumbledore is a genius and Harry is very good in DADA, match together I think they are unbeatable!

DD and Harry (I assume by "couple" you mean "duo?")
DD knows so much about Harry's past and what he needs to do to defeat VD. And Harry has so much respect for DD (well, except for the end of book 5, maybe ).

Dumbledore has already told Harry he has faced upto more than most adult witches or wizards.

It hasn't hurt that when voldermort tried to kill Harry that he passed on some of his powers

And Dumbledore is the greatest wizard of our time

fred and geoge...they are the ULTIMATE duo in the HP books and they are the coolest guys in the whole series with their own set of minds, which is rather important in magic world

8. Voldemort and Harry

I'd probably have to go with Dumbledore and McGonagall. Age, wisdom, power, skill, everything. Minerva knows more than she lets on. She will grow up to achieve much of what Dumbledore is capable; and I use the term "grow up" very lightly, as she is almost 90 now .

My second inclination would be Dumbledore and Moody. Alastor seems to know what he is talking about and he can certainly back it up. He isn't the greatest wizard, not any more atleast, but he was great and he still is pretty good. Him and Dumbledore could do a lot of damage.

Dumbledore and Harry. That's pretty much who it's been the whole time, anyways. With random help from Ron and Hermoine. Dumbledore gave Harry all the advice, harry abided and they got the job done! I don't think Harry could have became very strong at all withuot the wisdom and help of Dumbledore.

Dumbledore and Harry? I dont think this is about favourites though, Moody is way more talented than Harry and knows more stuff, So I say DD and MEM.

Ultimately Harry and Voldemort would be a force to be reckoned with. Where Voldemort has knowledge and no inabitions, Harry has heart and sometimes that is greater than any book knowledge.

Hermione summed that up in PS/SS when she told Harry that yes she was clever, but he was destined to continue. Books and cleverness are not all that one needs and that's where Harry comes in.

But from the choices, I would have to say Professor Dumbledore and Harry.

On that list, Dumbeldore and Harry, even though Dumbeldore has left Harry, he's served his purpose. My own write in vote is Harry and Ginny. Harry's most powerful weapon is love, he wants to share his life with Ginny, even though he currently can't. I think they could kick some serious a** together.

How about none of them make it Voldemort and Dumbledore the 2 most powerful wizards of the age

Dumbledore and Harry. DD is said to be the most powerful wizard of the age, and Harry is the only one who is able to defeat Voldemort.

I think that Harry and Hermione would be powerful, either her or Dumbledore. Hermione knows alot, but not as much as Dumbledore

Moody and Dumbledore. Dumbledore was the greatest wizard to ever live so he has got to be part of the couple. Moody because he was the best Auror in the ministry. He put more prisoners in Azkaban then anyone else. Can you imagine if him and Dumbledore were fighting side by side?

Dumby and Harry are probably the most powerful because Harry has the enthusiasm, courage, and strength (not to mention the powers voldemort instilled in him) while Dumby has the experience, the sheer genius, and the wisdom.

Although, Fred and George aren't the most powerful team, I think they're DEFINITELY the most entertaining...which, in my opinion, gives them more points than power would.

Dumbledore and Voldemort...why isn't that there? Well if we can't have that one I guess it's gotta be Dumbledore and Harry. With Harry being the chosen one and Dumbledore being so powerful they'd be a great team. Voldemort and Harry would also be rather unstoppable but at least Dumbledore recognises his weaknesses and can love which is Voldemort's weakness. So I guess Dumbledore and Harry.

Personally I think that Harry and Voldermort are most powerful together... I mean Olivander in the first book said that Voldermort did great but terrible things and that we could expect great things frim Harry and we have gotten got great things from him.

What hapened to Ron? I think that no one understands that he is very brave and loyal and he very much deserves to be in this topic.

if you have to use people off the list i would say minerva and dumbeldore because they would beat harry and dumbeldore because she is stronger than harry and they would beat voldemort and harry for the same reason and although fred and george are both extremely smart dumbeldore and mcgongall would destroy them if you don't have to use some one off the list how about grindewald and voldemort even though we don't know how powerful grindewald was or maybe godric gryffindor and salzar slytherin are any combanation of the house founders are maybe even flitwick and dumbeldore rember proffesor flitwick used to be a dueling champion

Harry is really powerful and Ginny is the only girl in the Weasley family so she has power in her own right, together they would be unstoppable and besisdes the ultimate power is love, something they both share for one another ( if not yet then manybe one day ?)

I think Harry and Hermione would make the best magical duo...she's brilliant and quick-thinking and he's..well, he's Harry...I think their abilities and personalities complement each other well, which is necessary for any successful team. Dumbledore and Harry would be a powerful combination, as would Harry and Voldemort (if they were fighting on the same side), but I don't think either pair complements each other as well as Harry and Hermione do...but that's just me!

How? Unless everyone (including Voldemort) develops a mysterious allergic reaction to the Bat Bogey Hex or something (which, however, we have still never seen--way to tell and not show JK! ), I can't see Ginny being much help or very powerful--so far we have not gotten much indication at all of very much power or magical ability beyond the one hex we've never actually seen her perform--sure, JK says lots of stuff, but until it's actually in canon I'm not going to say that Ginny is very powerful--b/c the text just doesn't support it up to this point. At best we've seen her dodging spells b/c of a luck potion--at worst she sprains her ankle and is out of the action ten minutes or so into the DoM battle. Romantically involved or not, Harry and Hermione make a much more powerful pair than Harry Ginny do--and not just as far as sheer magical force--there's also the balance b/t brains/cleverness and sheer magical ability that is not present with HG--look at how well they work together in proceeding forward after Ron gets knocked out in SS, saving Buckbeak and Sirius in PoA, and especially time and time again in OoTP--in the DoM we see Harry and Hermione working in tandem to kick some serious Death Eater butt, working off one another, getting each other's backs, etc--Hermione goes down fighting, taking a lot of DEs out with her and managing to seal off several doors as well. Books and cleverness she may be, but you need both to be powerful--there's no use in having a lot of magical ability if you have no idea what spells to use to take advantage of it (Like how Harry still doesn't know jack spells to use to seriously fight against DEs). And there's no way she could do so well in school if she didn't have some serious magical ability herself--it can't all be cleverness, b/c what is that really when it comes to casting spells? The fact remains that she often performs magic better and with much more ease than Harry or Ron in class and outside it (except for certain DA-type magic, at which Harry excels more).

So I would without a doubt say that Harry and Hermione would be a much more powerful duo than Harry/Ginny, just based on the plain facts we've seen so far in the books--we have seen Hermione as very powerful (not counting ShallowOOC!Hermione of HBP, who was so cowardly b/c half her brain and personality had to be donated to Ginny for her literary makeover, lol) and good at magic, and as working very well with Harry in fighting. We have not seen nearly that kind of power from Ms. Ginny Sue--just a lot of hearsay about one hex she can do really welll.....

So I would pick Harry/Hermione, b/c well, DD/Harry would have been powerful if a) his hand hadn't been shrivelled up and he was weakend as he was when they last fought together and he wasn't dead, lol. And I don't think F/G are as powerful as H/Hr when it comes to serious magic, while LV/Harry would never work together, so they couldn't really be a powerful pair...and I forget the others. But yeah, as far as the young generation at least, HHr are definitely the most powerful pair, even if it's just as platonic partners!


But we've never seen this, just heard about it outside of the books, the canon--that's my point. And no, it's not b/c she's the only girl in the family (as "girl-power" as I naturally am, lol, being the only girl in the family does not automatically give you power in your own right), it's b/c she's the seventh child (was Arthur a seventh child too?). There's a myth in Celtic culture about a seveth son of a seventh son having unusual magical abilities--of course technically Ginny shouldn't count b/c she's not a son, but I guess JK is ignoring that....but again, we haven't seen this power yet in the actual books, whereas we have clearly and repeatedly seen Hermione's substantial power--so again, based on the BOOKS, HHr make the more powerful duo.

I chose Harry because he has been learning a lot from Dumbledore, he has also had a lot of voldermorts powers transferred into him during the failed AK curse

I am also sure that Harry has got more power than what we know about and this will come out when he is faced with the prospect of destroying a horcrux

ultimately the most powerful duo would have to be dumbledore and voldemort, but since that's not plausible, i'm gonna have to say harry and voldemort. they comlpement eachother and there is something so strong about their connection.

I would like to say harry and hermione but seeing as its not favouries, i'd have to say harry and dd. Dumbledores wise, clever and corageous and harry is corageous good with his wand and young and so is able to do more stuff ( i cant put it into words but hopefully you get what i mean, .... ) For me you cant get a better team than that!

im stuck between choosing Harry and Hermione or Harry and Voldemort maybe im exagerating Harrys power a bit but if I had to choose I would say Harry and Hermione because they make the perfect team with Harrys raw magical ability and Hermiones work ethic they could do nearly anything.

Thet arent on the list, but I think LV and Dumbledore are the two most powerful magicians....for the sane reasons that are explained in the books

We could see how amazing was the confronting part between Harry and Voldemort in the fourth book, but I believe that Dumbledore vs Voldemort in the fifth was oustanding...

I think that the best magicians would actually be Dumbledore and Hermione. I think this to be so because Hermione caught onto spells very well from the way the movies perceived and according to the books. She might not be able to do some Defense spells but can defend herself sufficiently. Not to mention she can think fairly quick on her toes.
Then Dumbledore is a decently obvious choice. I think everyone could guess why I say that it's him as well.

However, my boyfriend thinks it would be Dumbledore and Voldemort. He didn't give me a reason for either.

i think that because the relationship is so important in the book. without that relationship alot of things would be different in the book. Dumbledore was the best wizard there ever was and harry learned so much from him.

Well I can see the general opinion is that Dumbledore& Harry is the most magically powerful couple... OK, I think it's hard to say there's a couple who can beat this combination, or ANY combination Dumbledore's in, but if I think of how they "fit" together I think Harry and Hermione would be the best couple; because they're different, they are in control over different spells (ex. Harry's Expecto Patronum is excellent, while this is Hermione's weak point etc). They think differently and react differently so they can cover all situations.

Plus, Dumbledore sounds more like the kind of wizard who works best alone.
