I know, I can't I saw the scar straight away... but it is there! I think it's because he has little bits of hair over his forehead now so you can't really see it. Actually, I only really noticed it in one of the pictures... I couldn't see it in the others. That's weird.

It doesn,t seem to be there. First he isn't wearing glasses and now you can't even see the scar.

you can't really see the scar because his hair is covering it there, but i'm pretty sure it's there... that's one of the most important things about his appearance, so i don't see why they wouldn't put it in...

First he isn't wearing glasses
when is not wearing glasses in the movies? he's always wearing glasses... he even wore them underwater in GoF

We all know it has to be there, but it's really hard to tell, it's not as dark (colour) as it use to be.

his scar is there, if you look closely on the picture where he's on the ground (supposedly fighting dementors) you'll see it, but you've got to look closely.
no glasses??? i'm gonna check that out.

The scar is probably there. His hair just might of bene covering it up. Either that or the picture was shot before the artists put the scar on Daniel Radcliffe.

Oh come on we all know the scar is there. It's just the way they have his hair fixed. And speaking of which, WHY IS IT SHORT? His hair is supposed to be all messy and out of place not short and styled.

His scar is there!!!!!! You guys can't have been looking properly. It's there. Look harder!!!!! As i've said before, look closely on the one where he's on the ground, and you'll see it.

Well, the only ting i can say about this is that
when his hair is covering his face they don't even
bother making the scar only when there is a
scene where it will be noiced then they put
the scare on his head. So, they might not
have thought that people where going to
see if his scar was going to be in the pictures.

I've noticed this before, they might have just been nearing the end of the day of filming and forgot to retouch up his make up or something, or maybe they add it in later when they are adding in all the digital effects. I don't know, I'm just guessing here.

I can see it. Just because it's not dark as it was in the first movie, doesn't mean it's not there.
I see a faint hint of it in all pictures.

Yeah, i see it, but it doesn't look like his scar how it was in the first couple of movies. Infact it was even pretty dark in GOF, but now it's just like a line. I had to save the picture and zoom it in Kodak, and it was like just a line. I don't know what's going on aout the glasses though. I mean all the pictures i saw had him in glasses. If you're talking about behind the scenes pictures then that might be different because he might be wearing contacts or something. But about the scar, you'r right you can barely see it. Maybe in the movie it will be visable.

I've heard some people talking about this before and I think they said it was something about Dan getting a bit of a tan somewhere and somehow the makeup that they use to create the scar on his forehead not showing up right or something. But that is just what they said. I dunno. It also could be that they are just putting the scar on there when they are doing a closeup on Dan.

Going crazy the lot of them are...

I've seen some of the on set stills for the film, and yeah, I've only seen the scar in a very few pics of Dan/Harry. I'm sure you could be very correct, Sinister, in that they only use the scar in closeups. It's weird.

I now watched all the OOTP pics I've got to see, and there are some in which you can see his scar, but others in which you don't, perhaps it IS there, but I can tell you that I don't see it. For example in the kiss scene picture, you can't see it there, and there are others that you can't see them either.

I'm sure it is there, It's one of the single main things in all the films and books, its what makes him 'The Boy Who Lived' I don't think they'd forget to put it in, maybe the pictures you saw were just on the set but not while filming =]

Yeh i agree, it is probably there we just cant see it. OR, they are going to digitally edit it onto his forehead. Sounds wierd but i wouldnt be suprised if thats what they do.

Very faint, but present!!! Look carefully

But why is his hair so short?? I thought it was supposed to be unruly and have the appearance of needing cutting - not already been cut!
Hilly
Feb 18 2007, 11:05 PM
Very, very faint, but present! It keeps getting smaller and smaller. And if they completely forgot it, there would be some mad fans out there because it defines who Harry is. The scar also switches sides on Harry's forehead.

Maybe it's just a magically moving and growing scar!

It is there. If it wasn't, too many fans would be upset, and there would be a riot (and I would be leading the way!). I've seen the trailer many times, and I can assure you all that he has his lightening bolt shaped scar.

I noticed that Daniel isn't wearing any glasses, and although the scar doesn't appear to be there, it is. I noticed it, but I think that it seems fainter right now.

The scar is there for a cert, and he IS wearing glasses even if its not all the time. One thing i have found though, he has short hair, he looks like a nerd not someone who wants to fight You-Know-Who

I couldn't see it at first either, but its there. Just really light. (Is it really so difficult to make sure one of the most important things in the series is visible?!)
I think they're getting a little lazy with the movies. Little important details are being changed/ignored now...

I just saw the movie, and I didn't nessacerily notice it but I wasn't really paying attention either. It had to be there, just not as prominant.

Harry does have the Scar it is just very light! They would never forget anything as important as that! And I say the Movie was good, they coulda added alittle more action since its the longest book in the series! And I hope in the next movie that they make the scar darker because thats wat it about, the scar and the boy who lived! so thats my opinion!
