Who else is a huge fan of THE SIMPSONS?

I'm not a big fan, but I like to watch The Simpsons when I see them on TV.

I don't really like the Simpsons...sorry

If you don't like them then why post? I personally love them. Even though I've seen all the eps a hundred times they still get me. One of my favs is the one where homer says to bart "There, there, shut up boy." I don't know what it's called but it's classic.

I love the Simpsons. I love EVERY episode. And if I don't like it, I just remember the funny parts.

I've just realized that Daniel Radcliffe seems to like the Simpsons.
If you could give every fan of yours a gift for Christmas what would it be and why?
I would give them a video of The Simpsons because it is probably the greatest show on television.

I seem to have forgotten most of my French. Thanks to going to a school with BLOCK SCHEDULING. Hate it.

Anyway, I LOOOOVE the Simpsons! We were lucky enough to watch an episode for Englilsh (purposely misspelled) class because we'd just finished reading Lord of the Flies. The Simpsons did a spoof on it, and, as always, it was hilarious.

Bart: How do they (poisonous berries) taste, Ralph?

I've been watching the Simpsons for the past 14 yrs, so yeah i'm a fan. I like the older shows though, these new writiers sort of change the story. Willy is the best, gotta love the scottish. But I get teased for acting like Lisa, my brother says that I would go crazy if they ever closed the school, but I wouldnt. trust me, I really REALLY dont like school, not as much as Lisa.

They're coming out with a movie in 2007...it'll be called The Simpsons Movie...I found a link so you guys can see the 30 second commercial about it if you all want

I think the show 'jumped the shark' a long time ago. Probably after the 12th season. Either way the eps nowadays are still relatively funny. It's best seasons have to be 3-10 where Homer was the 'caring' father. Now he just acts like a jerk most of the time.

And I think that movie is at least three years too late. Not like I won't go see it though

I know, they should have made the movie some time before. I heard that they actually wanted real actors for a movie but Matt Groening turned it down, good thing in my opinion.

El Barto: sorry to tell you this, but we'll probably all die before a Simpsons movie comes out. They're so stupid!!!

I hope I don't die before July 27th 2007...maybe this will help in my defense. I also thought it was either not going to happen or it would be a long time since there have been rumors for a long time.

I absolutely despise the Simpsons! As dungeonguard said, they're sooooooo amazingly stupid! They poke fun at people who act and dress and live a certain way. They use extremely crude humor just to get a laugh. I can't believe the writers would stoop so low as to use some of the stuff they use on that show! Nothing against people who like the Simpsons, but...I don't.

So...do you despise the Simpsons or is it more like Satirical humor that you despise? Do you also despise Family Guy, South Park, Futurama, etc?

They poke fun at existance, at least how one may view it. It is true that they make fun of a lot of things, and that is why they are what they are and have succeeded in it. They're a dysfunctional family, and one of the main 'behind the scenes jokes' is that Homer somehow wound up in a nuclear power plant without a college degree (I think he went back to get it but was kicked out after doing a prank on the dean which went wrong...).

What kinds of things are you talking about that they use that makes them so low ? If you think that is low, check out either Family Guy or South Park...

I love Family Guy now that you mention it. I love Stewie the baby. Lania I can't beleive you hate Simpsons. I don't think they are supposed to poke fun at people.

i just love the simpsons. i have seen like all the episodes (i think). i just cant wait til the movie comes out. i wish though it would come out sooner. that is such a long time to have ot wait for a movie. i dont get though why they put out the ad for it is such a long ways away!

Whee! I love the simpsons, i watch it sooo amazingly much that i can't stand the theme tune now and i have to put it on mute. My mum can't stand it though, and usually makes sure she's in the bath when the simpsons is on. favourite quote:

I'll watch the simpsons if it's on channel 4. Because sometimes it can be really funny sometimes they can just be a little strange. But not all of them. I've onnly been watching the old ones because channel 4 keeps repeating them. I'd like to see some new ones i've just forgot what side they are on.
