Ginny mentioned Dean in the end of th OotP. Remember?

I think she's just waiting for Harry to notice her and doesn't want to miss out on other relationships while she's waiting for Harry to take notice of her.

But I think that her and Dean are "dating" or maybe just talking as of the end of the 5th book. Why else would she mention it?

Didn't Ginny start dating someone in OotP? I can't remember now...I haven't got the book in front of me, but I'm pretty sure I've read that somewhere.

I thought she was over Harry now....**shrugs** I guess, if I was her age, I'd never really be over someone like Harry!

Ooh! I just found it!! Michael Corner....that was him!!.....Oh wait....they split up...LOL....okay then...yeah, she did say Dean Thomas, didn't she?!

Well then, maybe he really will have a bigger part in HBP after all! You know, I am so going to kick myself if Dean turns out to the the HBP.....

It is true that the book stated that she had "given up on Harry" doesn't mean she doesn't like him anymore. That she just isn't gonna sit around and wait on him anymore.

And she was with someone in OotP. She was with Michael Corner, but they broke up and he got with Cho.

She did mention Dean to Ron, but no one's sure if they're going out or if she was just saying his name for no real reason. eh...

Hey, let me tell you, guys, you never get over your first completely. It's been 16 years since my first crush and sometimes, even now, when I see that guy around I get a flutter in my stomach....cliched, maybe, but true! My mum reckons that she gets the same feeling when she sees her first, and it's been much longer than 16 years for her! (Sorry, mum.... )

Comforting to know that those feelings never seem to change much, isn't it?

And sooo off topic!! Sorry... .....but yeah, it does seem as though Ginny has her eye on Dean, doesn't it? He must really have something, for her to choose him over Harry....as I said before, I know who I'd choose.....

Well, see I don't think she chose him over Harry. Harry was never really hers to choose from. I still think she's just waiting until Harry finally notices that she's there.

I know that Harry was never really hers anyway, but you can choose whomever you like to get a crush on, I guess....meh...it doesn't really matter much to me either way really....seeing as how I'm a bit of a closet Harry/Hermione shipper....**lowers head in shame** (Sorry...I can't help it!! I know it's not logical....but I've read a couple of things that make me think that maybe, just maybe, Harry has a secret thing for her even though she's clearly into Ron....I just see a potential 'Parting of the Ways' emerging here eventually between the trio......)

I think I've seen this before. About these two possibly being together because of what was sadi at the end of the OotP. Hmm.. Maybe, I can't say it couldn't happen. It be fine wioth me. It would be kind of cute.

I think her and Dean are dating. She even told Ron, and I think she's just trying to get on with her life since Harry didnt want her. But theres still time, he will notice her, at least I hope he will.

She was going out with that one Ravenclaw kid, and now she's dating Dean. Though I think she's doing the who middle school dating thing, where you're going out for like a mouth and just hang out. But that's only cause I want her to end up with Harry.

Yea, I think he little thing with Dean is just a fling and Harry will soon notice her and she'll be his forever....*sigh* I'm such a girl lol.

It would end up making sense if Dean was the HBP, though. So if that's the way it works out, that's they way it works out. It's J.K's chocie, and we're going to have to live with what she chooses. So, be it Ginny/Harry, Ginny/Dean, Ginny/Neville, or any of those other ships, that's the way it's gonna be.

Well maybe Ginny said Dean Thomas because she knew she would make Ron furious and go into his "overprotective brother phase" or cause Harry to be jealous. Dean is one of Ron's friend, so if they do go out, it might affect Ron's (and maybe Harry's) friendship with Dean. Or maybe Rowling's accepting interracial (hyphen?) relationships?

I don't know about Dean being the HBP, but I don't really have that many theories on who or what the HBP is. I'll just let myself be surprised. But I do like the inter-racical dating thing. That's cool.

But I hope that if they are dating that it won't be for much longer. Cause Harry's gonna need someone and Ginny would be perfect.

Yes i'm a Harry/Ginny shipper too, but still, if Harry cant see what a great girl Ginny is, and Dean can, then I say let them be happy, Harry's lost right? Though I still want Harry/Ginny, lol.

Of course Harry will see what a great girl Ginny is. Who wouldn't?

But at least she'll have Dean until Harry comes around.

As you can see by my avie, I'm all for Ginny/Harry, and maybe her realtionship with Dean with make Harry jealous. I hope, I hope.

I'm not sure if Ginny meant that she was actually dating Dean Thomas when she said that she'd chosen him. Maybe she just meant that she liked him and wanted to date him. Or maybe she was just trying to spite Ron. I suppose we'll find out when HBP comes out. I think that Ginny's still trying to convince herself that she doesn't like Harry anymore (sorry, I'm a major H/G shipper). I don't think Ginny and Dean will last for very long if they are dating.

I remeber Ginny said at the last day in Hogwarts when she was in the train that how she looks with Dean,to his brother Ron.if it would happened it may not be good with Neville.

Boy, did you 'die and go to heaven' when your dream came true?! Were you that 'proverbial fly on the wall' when JKR was writing HBP? Was this intuition or what?! I am amazed and flabbergasted!

So, now I have to ask, "what do you think will happen (shipping wise) in the final book?!"

That would be such a cool couple! but i dont think it's gonna happen ... because J.K Rowling doesn't really involve Dean that much, but it was a good match making thing though ... i gues we will have to wait and see until book 7 comes out!

well i am a harry and Ginny Shipper i am sorry but they were always in love and always will be in love (Harry = James, Ginny = Lily) sorry that was off topic but i dont think they will get back together becasue now i think Ginny really really like harry and will not give up on him. and you hardly ever hear or see dean in the books and movies. but i dont think i could see dean and ginny getting married wow that is bad

i like the idea that harry and ginny will get back together i also hope that she will either wait for harry or harry will wait for her

It was an interesting pairing but I don't think it could have lasted even if Harry hadn't been in the picture. Ginny was too free spirited and I think she was too much into Quidditch to want to listen to Dean's football comments.

Are you being sarcastic about being shocked? I just had a hope for the books that happened to come true, this wasn't the only one. I thought that maybe Snape loved Lily ever since the first time I read the third book. I just happen to be able to guess what will happen next in stories. And yeah, I was happy about H/G but that all happened more than three years ago.

As long as Ginny's not with Harry it's okay...(okay, she can't be with Neville either).

Plus it's kind of cute. I mean... I always liked Dean a little.
