Mcgonagall.(sry if i spelled her name wrong.) i think that that would add an interesting plot twist. I mean, i think their about the same age... like sixties. I think maybe they went to school together and had a sort of romance, slightly forbidden because of the whole Gryffindor/Slytherin thing. I don't believe she was aware of what he'd become but i do think that would change things a little bit. You know, the only one he ever loved type thing. Don't hit me if u think this theory is to outlandish... i just think that it is a very likley possibility...

The Mcgonagall idea is interesting but I don't think so. If we are saying what's likely I say no one because the point JK makes is Voldemort had no love in his life, didn't care for anyone...even his friends, he saw them as people below him (the first ever Death Eaters)
Yeah so that's the point she makes especially in book six. He never loved anyone when he maybe could have, and now he is incapable of it.
But if we are saying who would go best with him, then maybe Bellatrix? Though she has a husband, she worships the ground Voldemort walks on (Which he would love) and always wants to be his most loyal and closest follower. For instance, her jealousy of Snape. And she enjoys murder and torture as much as he does, perfect match!

Ok, I let my imagination run wild with this one, and came up with two interesting and hilarious candidates.

1. Aunt Petunia. Oh there was A LOT more to Petunia than first meets the eye... lol.

2. Dolores Umbridge. She thrives on power.

But I came up with funny candidates, because I don't think Voldemort would ever be capable of being in a relationship, he is too self-involved.

Okay very funny about Mcgonagall. Now I was talking to my HP obsessed friend the other day and we were writing our ships. We had Ha/G, R/Hr,DD/Mc and Voldemort and Bella Lestrange. We also talked about reasons behind these ships. Here is my Voldy reason: Voldemort likes power and Bella worships him. She also craves power. So in term they like each other.Okay not good but it makes sense.

Well I think Nagini could be a witch who had a powerful spell put on her and hasn't been able to transform back.Other than that I know Bella really loves LV.Though I don't know if LV loves her back.

i think that voldy is completley void of love... and bellatrix seemed a little desprate before which is not ...u erm attractive.

If I had to pick a made for Voldemort. I think it would be Dolores Umbridge or Bellatrix. They are both evil. Either one is perfect.

dolores is more of the pushy evil, not quite like...evil enough for voldemort to fall in love with.... not saying she isn't... just not in the same ... uh... league as voldemort.

Hopefully there is no one evil enough to be in the same league as voldemort...but i don't think it is possable for old voldy to fall i love and if he did harry would be in a lot of trouble seeming that love is the only power harry has over voldy...i think a few people love him (bellatrix) and plenty more when he was a hot teenager but i don't think he has ever loved anyone in return

Hmm...since it's never going to be love, I think he would have more desire for Bellatrix Lestrange. Even though Voldy isn't an exact person and that he can't love, loving isn't the same as desiring, everyone has a feeling of wanting and he might feel something for her later on, or probably already has. She's basically the only person he would think is the closest to him. I agree with steve28, that calling her 'Bella' shows the start of something. I was actually rooting that ship when I first read how she spoke of him .

hmmmmmm... I think that Voldie goes alone. The books have always said he has a) never had a friend nrver been attracted to another human very much, and c) he does not know any love in his life because he has never recieved any, nor wanted any. He is about 70 by the end of book six, so a little old to be getting married for the first time...

even though i doubt that voldemort will fall in love he is bound to want something at some point or another. evrybody needs it at some point in their life, unless he gets the same feeling from the power trips as he would from being with another actual person.
i don't think i need to elaborate any further on that one...
but personally, from the way that tom acted even as a young child and the way that he ruthlesly killed his dad and grandparents, i don't think he is capable of seeing life as the special thing that it is.

he doesn't even value his own life as much as you might think. he tears apart his soul not because he values his life but because he values the things that he could do- if his life were extended- and he indestructable.

to love you have to understand the value of true life, you have to love it, live it and preserve the lives you love at all costs. for somebody who truely loves this would probably not be their own life, 99% of the time. if somebody willingly destroys their own life (as Tom has on more than one occasion -drinking unicorn blood book1-) they obviously don't value it, or even understand the value of valuing life.

McGonagall would totally be an interesting twist, and they are much closer in age then everyone else in the novels. However, I see Voldemort needed someone more insane to match him, which is why I go for Bellatrix.

Voldemort doesn't know what love is. He will never be able to love anyone other than himself and power. This is what will be his downfall, as love is 10x stronger than anything else in the world. I can see him and Bellatrix getting together, but only for other reasons, not real love (if you know what I mean ) lol.

Even if there IS someone who does belong with Voldemort it’s just like what Dumbledore said. Voldemort can ever love. The relationship would never work out even if Voldemort was with someone. You can’t be a couple if you don’t like or love them. Also, your partner is your friend. AND Dumbledore said that Voldemort never had a true friend.

I seriously think that Voldemort and Kreacher should get together! They both hate EVERYONE! Kreacher is half insane and mutters to himself and regularly betrays people, and Voldemort is evil and is also half insane too!

No, I just don't see Voldemort expending any time or energy on something as superficial as an emotional relationship. He's got too much to do, what with conquering the world and all.
Just the type of person he is suggests he probably didn’t have many, if any at all, relationships during his time at Hogwarts or afterwards. But I wonder if that’s because he was incapable of the emotion, or desperately didn’t want it. My guess is Tom Riddle would be attracted to someone very similar to himself. Not mean and creepy, but ambitious, driven. Unfortunately, the very things he admires in this other person could also prevent the two of them from having a lasting relationship. When the ultimate rejection arrives, would Tom think, “Better to have loved and lost?” or “I’ll never allow this to happen again” and write the entire thing off as a case of schoolboy infatuation. When I wrote my fan fic, Good Intentions, Tom wrestles with the memory of just such a relationship.

Voldemort is not capable of love. He is wholly against the very idea of it. So to have him all of a sudden strike up a romantic relationship with someone could no work. Not to mention he would be hypocritical.

So Voldemort's match is no one in my opinion. Who would fall in love with him anyway?
