Is this definitely not a rumor, because I don't understand why Disney would create something that supports a Warner Brother's creation.
Also, I have seen some posts that say Universal Studios and some that say Orlando. So which one is it?

I believe Universal Studios aren't owned by Disney - they are owned by themselves. Hence they can have whatever film theme they feel like creating within their park. Also, Universal studios are in Orlando, so both references are correct (i.e. Universal Studios and Universal Studios Orlando). This is most definitely not a rumour, as there have been many reports and updates on the creation of the park.

I have seen the construction site for myself and even posted up some of my pics from my visit earlier in this thread.

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter will actually be situated in Universal Islands of Adventure in Orlando Florida and is being installed next to the area dedicated to Jurassic Park.

I visited Islands of Adventure this weekend and I can report that Hogwarts is under construction. It seemed to be in the early stage but they have at least started. It was kind of neat in that they had all these Ministry of Magic decrees posted instead of the standard construction warning signs. At least there is some creative input going into the place. Hopefully the finished World will continue that.

i think it is so awesome that they are making a Harry Potter theme park. i think it will turn out really cool. i cant wait till it is open because then im gonna go on a roadtrip out there. hearing about the different things that they are putting in the park is really cool because then i can just imagine it all in my head. i cant wait til it opens

I can't wait until the Harry Potter Theme Park comes out, but sadly, it may take even longer for me to even see it. The only way I would be able to convince my parents to let me go to Florida is if I was there to see my cousins. But since I don't really know any of those cousins, I doubt they would buy it.

It sucks to live on the whole other side of the country.

If only we all had enormous amounts of money so we could just up and go to Florida and visit the Harry Potter theme park at Universal Studios! I've been hearing about this for like a year now and it makes me so excited yet so sad because I doubt I'll get to go anytime soon after it opens! I'll just envy all that do. D=

The park is going to be in Orlando for those who don't beleive me there is an official site just google it but I can't wait! It's going to be awesome!

Thanks for sharingyeah im sad i have more ideas- they should have triwizard thing where you can go to the yule ball and go in the maze. and they should have a giant slide based in the chamber of secrets where you come out where the basilisk came out. hey there has to be a creepy forbidden forest thing! and how about a water ride with the durmstrang boat? and a train ride on the hogwarts express!

It sounds really great, but I will never be able to get there because I live in Europe (Romania, to be exact) so what can I say? Anyway, let's say I'm looking forward to seeing how it looks like only through videos or pictures, unfortunately that's all . Maybe they'll be able to build one in Europe too, at least a mini-theme park, though I know it costs a lot and it's really difficult.

I'm so excited, my mom told me a that for my birthday she would fly me to Florida to go! It's going to be awesome, I cannot wait!!! Anyone going for the opening? i heard some of the Hp cast is going to be there?

I posted earlier (more like a year ago?) and I was saying that my senior class has this trip every year called Grad Bash [Grad Weekend]. Basically it's a 3 day 2 night trip to orlando where we spent a day at Islands then next day in Universal and so on.

I live in Florida and I'm super excited because rumor has it that the theme park is opening the weekend that I'll be taking my trip!

EDIT: Nevermind, I found it. I felt stupid when I realized that the thread was like a few under this one.. oops!

It won't be opening in May, there will be a quiet opening in the Spring, where you can go through and see the shops and stuff, but you can't actually buy anything yet, then a grand opening in May.

I'm going to Orlando when it opens!! XD I'm so excited!!!

And when might this "quiet" opening in spring be? more so of a date? because as i've mentioned previously i'm going there as a class trip and would looove for it to open at the same time

I think the "quiet" opening was already done, because they were selling tickets for February dates. And then they, of course, said they wouldn't say when the grand opening was. Just a little after the soft opening. So it makes you wonder. I think they're trying to screw with us so that we don't figure it out. They want it to be a surprise. ;P
