For this contest, do you just put what you wish to enter and then on Marauder day/21st just do it? or do it now?

What do you think that each of the Marauders' role will be in the final book?
Sirius- IMHO he will come back from the veil or "death" and help Harry and the rest of the trio in the final fight. Probably just the fighting part.

Lupin-Will help as he has been except even a larger role. He will help Harry with morale support and deffinetly the final fight. I also have a feeling that he is going to do something very important for the Order.

James-I don't think that he will "come back" but he will help Harry Lupin and Sirius in their spirits!! (lame I know)

Lily-Same as James, just in their hearts.

No, no, wait until the 21st! I will re-post what WingzofDoom did that day, but please everyone else wait, I was just trying to remind you guys so you could start thinking about what you want to do.

QUOTE
But the reason I never thought of that (I think) was because I always seem to think that Peter's voice changed. I don't know. Just from spending so long as a rat.

His voice probably did change a little bit, but I don't think it changed enough that Harry wouldn't recognize it when he heard it.

QUOTE
I actually think that it would have taken quite a bit of persuasion on Lily's part to convince James to stop hexing Snape

I don't know about that...James loved Lily for just about forever so as his head was deflating he probably came to realize that if he hexed Snape in front of her, she wouldn't go out with him. I do agree that if Snape hexed him first he probably retaliated (and I'm sure Lily wouldn't mind that). And of course they were free to get worse revenge later in private! tongue.gif

QUOTE
That's all I can think of. It's mighty good to be back, chaps. But I'm afraid that I may not be on as often as I'd like to (if anyone cares) because: a) I have a GCSE coming up, so wish me luck (but it's my last one til next year, so I'll be able to come on more after that)

Good luck!!! And I hope to be seeing you around, you'll be missed!

Hehehe, I want to answer my own question now:
What do you think that each of the Marauders' role will be in the final book?
Sirius: I don't think he'll actually come back come back from behind the veil like you said Cobra, but I do think he'll be of help! I am still set on the fact that Harry will realize that he had to say Padfoot into the two-way mirror instead of Sirius and so he'll be able to talk to him again and he'll be able to help that way. Falling through the veil could have given him a lot of knowledge or he may have discovered something that'll help Harry out. I miss Sirius, I want to see him again! sad.gif *tear* *sniffle, sniffle* Depending on whether or not the veil actually is death he could find a way to set Sirius free from it...if it isn't like an afterworld thing.

QUOTE

I think you covered that one nicely! happy.gif I want to see him get some revenge on Greyback or Peter personally!

QUOTE
James-I don't think that he will "come back" but he will help Harry Lupin and Sirius in their spirits!! (lame I know)

I like it!

Peter: Ok, so I know this is a stretch but I think that Peter may find someway to redeem himself. I like to live in my happy, fairytale world of pink marshmellow bunnies where Peter sacrifices himself for Harry because Harry saved his life. I know his "debt" doesn't mean much because it ultimately comes down to his integrity, but who knows?

Anyways, I'm done! tongue.gif Happy almost Marauder Day!

~Chelsea~

Cobra
I would love to see Lupin get some revenge on greyback, as for peter, I think it will be Harry and Lupin that finish him.

I didn't include PP. hmmmm
Peter-I don't think he will help at all. Whether it is his "debt" or not. I think he will be killed and/or attacked by harry and lupin.
WingzofDoom
I'm sorry - I didn't realise you only wanted us to post on Marauder day! Sorry!

I can't believe that even in my huuuge post I forgot to say what I think the gang will do in the last book!

Sirius: I don't know! *wail* I want him tocome back, I really do wub.gif sad.gif but I don't think it's going to happen. But the mirrors are still a big possibility, I think.

QUOTE

I totally agree! Especially missing Padfoot - and the Padfoot/mirror thing. I never thought of that!

So, people. Remus: Well, sorry to anyone who may cry at this point, but I think that although he will do something amazing for the Order, I think he's in for the chopping block, as my dear old dad would say. All Harry's other mentors and father-figures have died - and Lupin seems to be next on the list. I wish he wasn't though...

James: Well, er, sorry but I don't think tere's any chance he's on his way back. He'll help like Cobra said - in their spirits - but not really do much more, if you ask me. Apart fro being Harry's patronus. Unless that changes like Tonks' did. But I do think that we'll learn soe important things about him and the other Marauders.

Peter: Personally, I think he will repay his debt. Otherwise why would anyone have made even a tiny fuss over Voldie not liking having one of his minions in debt to Harry? I think it might be unwilling repayment though, because I've always seen the debt as something like the Unbreakable Vow - a magical bond that has to be paid. Because once again, if it was just down to his honour, Voldie wouldn't care about it.

So that's me done for today. That's for the luck, Chelsea - glad to know I'll be missed! And I will try and be around as much as possible - I'm only here now because I've been off school ill. Luv you all! wub.gif

Yes, but how soon? I always thought you would instantly die if you did anything to violate your Unbreakable Vow. This does not seem to be the case with what I refer to as the death-bond. If one had to repay one's bebt immediately, Peter would have had to repay it when Voldemort was regenerating in the graveyard. Furthermore, what, if any, penalty is there for a person who never repays their debt?

NOOOO! Not Remus!!!! *sobs* Jo has already taken two my marauders away and made another a traitor, she can't hurt Remus too! He belongs with Tonks!!!!! He deserves a happily ever after after everything he has been through, being a werewolf and what not. *flood of tears* *sniffle, sniffle* sad.gif

You would instantly die if you broke an Unbreakable Vow, that keeps people motivated not to break it! tongue.gif That's why I agree, I don't think that it works the same way, I think Peter will have to decide to help himself. I do believe that he'll repay it though, otherwise there would be no use to have Dumbledore mention the bond, but I think it'll be willing. Yes Harry did save Peter's life in PoA, but I think their "bond" will come down to Peter's integrity and whether or not he wants to repay the debt. The same thing happens in the real world, when someone saves your life he owe them something, not because you have to, but because in the back of your mind you know that you owe them something as large as your life in return. Peter knows what Harry did, we'll have to see whether or not he chooses to act upon it. I mean, if you think about it, he has to be feeling guilty to a certain extent. He betrayed his best friends and now he is only alive because the son of the man he indirectly murdered saved him, Peter knows it and may come to realize that he owes Harry a lot, he owes Harry's family a lot. It would be nice to see him redeem himself, even if it costs him his life.

Was James really taken away from us? We learned he was gone before we learned he was a Marauder. How do we lose James as a Marauder if we never really had him as one? I suppose the same can be said for Peter, so that arguement doesn't make much sense.

I also do not want to lose Remus. He does deserve a long and happy life. But he has deserved that for quite some time and has not received it. He may have stumbled into happiness with Tonks, but the worry for Harry and the war probably dampen that a touch.

I agree that James' contribution will be limited to Harry's patronus, but I also think he will be able to help in an indirect way-information Harry will discover about James and Lily. His legacy may hold some important clues for Harry.

Peter, I'm sure, will repay his life debt. This might be a bit mean, but I hope it results in his death. It's justice for treacherous act of turning in Lily and James. It's his fault Harry grew up with out his parents. I thought I read somewhere that a life debt isn't a magical bond, but more of a moral bond. I may be wrong though so don't quote me on it! biggrin.gif

I truly believe that Sirius has more to do. Is going through the veil considered "properly dead"? We don't know. If not, then I think he may be back at some point, or at least somehow he will be able to communicate with Harry even if he isn't able to cross back over to the land of the living.

I have a good feeling about Remus. I think he is going to survive DH and have a happy life with Tonks. It's just a gut feeling I have. His main role in DH coincides with the werewolves. He might actually be able to presuade some of them to join the Order so at least there may be werewolves on both sides of the battle. Might even things out a bit in that respect.

Hey guys! So, be excited because tomorrow is indeed MARAUDER DAY!!!!! I will start and end the contest (I guess I'll go off of Veritaserum time to make it fair to everyone). You guys will have from midnight tonight to midnight tomorrow to post away! happy.gif I'll be stopping in from time to time as I am very much so looking forward to seeing what you guys can do! Then Cris and I will judge you guys and get back to you with the winners! I don't think we should have a problem since I did get permission to do this ages ago, but if a mod posts then please everyone stop with the contests and resume normal discussion as we don't want to get this thread shut down! Best of luck guys and have fun!!!!!! Oh, and don't forget to spend a moment and think of Sirius tomorrow, as that was the day we discovered our beloved Padfoot fell through the veil! sad.gif

I am pretty sure that it's a moral bond too, things like an Unbreakable Vow have to be made intentionally, not by accident.

I hope he has already! I mean, I don't know if he can go back underground anymore after the battle towards the end of the Deathly Hallows. On the off chance that Greyback saw him, he would definitely stop Lupin from going back with the other werewolves. I mean, I don't think that he knows who Remus is, he has bit a lot of people, but is it really safe for him to go back?

It is now officially the 21st of June on VTM!!!!!! HAPPY MARAUDER DAY!!!!!!!!!!!! Post away guys!! happy.gif You have 24 hours! And let me be the first to say we all miss you Sirius! Pull out the butterbeers, I have a toast to make! *raises glass* To Sirius Black!
LittleRed7771
Here, here!! A toast to Sirius!! *Raises butterbeer and clinks it to yours* Poor Sirius! *tear* He was such a true and loyal friend. He didn't deserve to have such a short life line. We can only hope that the spirits haven't yet cut his golden strand of life and that he may yet return to us! happy.gif

Sirius, Sirius, you must be delirious
To trust such a cowardly rat.
You gave him an honor
To keep your friends safe
But he squealed to save his own neck.

In hiding he went while you suffered away
With a terrible loss in your heart
Till you saw him again
In a picture you found
And vowed you did to revenge.

But escaped he again but not before
Young Harry had learned the truth
Fast friends you became
And family you found in this boy
Who's the son of those friends.

And when the time came
Protect him you did
Safe from his parents terrible fate
And Harry's revenge will be oh so sweet
With the fall of Lord Voldemort.

To Sirius!!!

Hey guys, that's it! One last HAPPY MARAUDER DAY to you all! Ok, so now we can resume with regular discussion, we were talking about the Marauder's role in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, but if anyone has any new ideas feel free to change the topic! I will PM Cris and I guess we'll decide the winner for the alphabet because that was the only conest more then one person entered! You guys all get 50 galleons for everything you entered and I will tally up internet galleons when we decide the winner and announce that winner as well (I will be giving them out like crazy so no worries). Then I guess the internet galleons will all be cleared so that everyone starts with a clean slate! Thanks for participating guys, all your entries were brillant (Cris, you get 50 galleons for offering to judge since you can't win, but I will give you participation galleons). Happy posting all! happy.gif Oh, LittleRed, you have already won one since you were the only one who did an ode to Sirius so 100 for winning! Congrats! I've been skimming through this forum (there were way too many pages for me to read all) and i was kinda hoping for some serious debates. Although i really did enjoy all the Marauder alphabets. So i have a debate question (i hope it wasn't used already... as i said i only skimmed sorry)

Do you think that James was really trying to save Snape from Lupin or was he just trying to save his own neck?
HP_RULES!
Actually, I will say that I have been a member of this thread for ages and I don't believe your topic has ever been discussed! happy.gif
QUOTE

Do you think that James was really trying to save Snape from Lupin or was he just trying to save his own neck?

I do have to start out by saying that as a fan of the Marauders it is my obligation to think the best of them and believe that they were amazing people at all times! biggrin.gif I have my reasons too so no worries. All right, so in case I wasn't clear I think that James was really trying to save Snape. James isn't a bad person, he has a good heart! If you think of the Harry vs. Draco feud as a mirror image for the James vs. Snape feud you can consider how bad Harry felt after he almost killed Draco. No matter how much he loathed him and believed Draco to be in cahoots with those who were out there taking away everyone he has ever loved, he still didn't want to kill Draco. I think that as much as James hated Snape with every fiber of his being, despite the fact that he tortured Snape every chance he got, he didn't want to see him dead. Nor do I believe that had he known it would be Snape's fault that Voldemort would find himself and Lily and kill them he would have wanted to be responsible for killing him. Going back to Harry, despite everything that Voldemort has done to Harry, it took a lot before he actually wanted to kill him (Snape never did anything close to what Voldemort did). Not to mention the fact that, had Snape been killed, Lupin would have been kicked out of school along with Sirius. And Lupin would have to live with the fact that he was a murderer for the rest of his life, even if it wasn't his fault. Love of friends runs deeper then hate for others or love for yourself. I believe he was thinking of Snape and his best friends, not himself. happy.gif

~Chels~

PS- CONGRATS LittleRed!!!! I am still working on the internet galleons, sorry guys! There are a few complications...
Padfoot, Prongs and Moony
Hey, I love the Marauders... and this is my first time posting here....

Okay, about James saving Snape, I think James was doing it to save Snape, like HP_RULES! said, James was a good person and would never want Snape to die, no matter how much he loathed him. James was also thinking about Sirius, I love Sirius, but I don't think he thought that Snape would take him seriously or not on going down underneath the Whomping Willow thing. But when Snape actually did do that and James saved him, James might have been down Sirius' throat for putting someone in danger like that. Not to mention, probably getting Remus kicked out of school for murdering a student (unintentional or not). But I think James was thinking about saving Snape and his friends, he might have wanted to save himself too but his first priority would have been to save Snape.

Okay... Yeah, I love the Marauders!!!! biggrin.gif
SpinJam
Do you think that James was really trying to save Snape from Lupin or was he just trying to save his own neck?

Yes. I agree with you all in that I don't think James would ever really want to kill anyone. He also wouldn't want Remus to have that death or mauling or whatever might have happened hanging over his head. So he possibly saved Snapes life, he definitely saved Remus' conscience, and Padfoots conscience as well (as much as I adore his character he can be a bit of a brash hothead who doesn't think about the consequences of his actions). Good topic.
LittleRed7771
I have to agree. Although James may have loved to torture Snape, he wouldn't wish him dead. He's not an evil person; a bit of a delinquent, but not evil. Also, as Spin Jam said, he wouldn't want to curse Lupin with the death of Snape on his hands. Or allow Sirius to be cursed with the knowledge that he was the one to send Snape to his death. I'm sure it was a mixture of those reasons that sent James to the shack to save Snape.
padfootx3
I totally agree with all of you. I do not think James wanted Snape dead but i also think he was trying to save himself, lupin, and sirius. I thought the answer to that question might be kind of obvious since this is the Marauder's Fan club. I just didn't have any better questions, but I wanted to get some debates going. If anybody has any other, better, question please write them. i love to go into some good ol' debating.
HP_RULES!
Hey all! How are my fellow Marauder obsessers? tongue.gif So I can try and come up with a topic, but I am not too skilled in that department so bare with me. Ummmm....

How about this? Do you guys think that Lupin will lose it? As we all very well know he is in complete control of his emotions at all times (minus the moment where he found out that Dumbledore was dead). Don't you think it would be nice to see Lupin break from his shell a little and lose control! He has A LOT to be mad about! Sorry that's a bad topic, but you all can stretch it a little I suppose. If you do think he'll lose it, who do you think it should happen with? Greyback? Snape?

Feel free to change it guys, I know I'm bad at this! Oh, I am off to New Jersey and wont have a computer, but I'll be home soon!!!! happy.gif Bye guys!
padfootx3
I'm sorry but i just can't picture Lupin "losing control". I mean he's got a generally calm personality, and he never takes anything too personally, as he's probably used to it by now. I just cannot picture his losing it. He does seem to be on the verge of it sometimes, but he never really does. And if, by chance he does, there is no doubt in my mind that he's just have that moment and be back to his normal cool, calm self. cool.gif

If by some chance Lupin was to "lose" it, I think it would be directed towards Greyback. It would be more of an anger/frustration release to punish Greyback for not only biting him when he was a boy, but also for all the other kids he has bitten. It would be understandable for Lupin to do this and Greyback would completely deserve it.

Lupin had thought as a boy that he felt sorry for the werewolf because he knew not what he was doing. But then he found out that Greyback hunted him down on purpose along with all his other victims. Greyback has even developed a taste for blood when he isn't even in werewolf form. I wouldn't blame Lupin at all to unleash all of his emotions onto Greyback and take him out. Who knows, maybe that's what Lupin is waiting for and is saving all of his repressed emotions for that encounter.
Cobra
I think Lupin would never totally be out of control. But, IMHO, in DH his rage will come out. Hopefully on Greyback. I have a feeling it will be in a big battle and unfortunately, another one he loves/is friends with will die and he will snap. *snaps fingers*. The person who dies is going to be dueling Greyback and then since he is the one that killed the person Lupin will go all rage on him and kill him and hopefully some other DE's as well.
SpinJam
Okay, let me just preface this by saying how much I love Lupin's character. I just want to snuggle up with a nice big glass of red wine and discuss poetry with him until the wee hours of the night listening to Lucia di Lamermoor with Renata Scotto, Bastianini, and de Stefano.
However, I think he's going to snuff it in book 7. I know, I know, it's a horrible thing to say. But I think he just might lose it with Greyback, and either defending Harry or Tonks, or someone else will manage to take out Greyback, but in the process he might die himself. I can really see him playing the hero in a final battle of good vs evil. I hope it doesn't happen, but if it does it won't surprise me.

I don't know if that answers the question about whether or not he'll "Lose it", but that's what I have to say.

Oh come on, SpinJam. There's no need to hold back. Tell us how you really feel. tongue.gif

Anyways, I'm horrible at coming up with questions especially with the fear that I will repeat something you have already discussed. However, I thought I would try and pose a couple of questions and see what you think.

Which Marauder can you most relate to and why?

Why didn't Lupin stop James and Sirius from picking on Snape in "Snape's worst memory"?

If you've done these or they aren't good enough, just ignore me! biggrin.gif
padfootx3
On the contrary, Littlered, i think you've come up with excellent questions Let's see, the first question is...
Which Marauder can you most relate to and why?
I think i can relate most to Sirius. That's because I always love to take risks and i absolutely adore adventures. Also, I always feel like i want to get out of this life and find a new one. I want to just be able to do everything, but unfortunately i can't. I also regret some things that i have done in my past, just like Sirius does. I always wish i just had a time-turner to fix everything. So, that's how i relate to Sirius.

Why didn't Lupin stop James and Sirius from picking on Snape in "Snape's worst memory"?
I always considered Lupin "the good one". He never seemed to get involved in Sirius' and James' little schemes yet he wasn't trying to stop them, except for in "Snape's Worst Memory." I only know that because Lupin says when he was prefect he supposed Dumbledore wanted him to stop Sirius and James from all their rule-breaking, but that never happened. Anyway, like i was saying, Lupin always seemed like the good little angel, but i don't think he had the motivation to stop them because they were just being boys and no matter what Lupin said they were probly not going to stop, so there was no point in wasting energy trying to stop them.
Padfoot, Prongs and Moony
Well, Remus is normally the one that helps other people and asks for nothing in return. He would sit down and listen to people and give them advice. If he does 'lose it' I would like it to be on Greyback... evil little, flithy trash little... *curses Greyback continuously* okay, I'm back. Well, he did lose it once, but not in a rage like how Harry loses it. It was more of an emotional lose it... When Dumbledore died. But how come he didn't lose it when Sirius died? Sirius was his best friend and Dumbledore was more of a 'consoltent'. Yet, he carried on fighting and holding back Harry and was calm about the fact that he lost another one of his friends... Sorry if that didn't really help...

Love the Marauders!! wub.gif
*Love_me_Amortentia*
Which Marauder can you most relate to and why?
I think Im like Remus all though Im always up for an adventure Its normally someone else who thinks of it first. I kinda just tag along. I have four sisters and the youngest and the oldest remind me of James and Sirius huh.gif And I even have a sister who reminds me of wormtail kinda sneaky ph34r.gif and she has become the outsider now that we are older. I was always just there. They were always getting into trouble and I never said anything to to try and change their minds. It was fun most of the time... tongue.gif

Why didn't Lupin stop James and Sirius from picking on Snape in "Snape's worst memory"?I think it was pretty clear that no matter what Lupin might have said he really had no control over what James and Sirius ended up doing and like padfootx3 said boys will be boys. Even though it was ultimatley harmful to Snape, he seemed equally hurtful to them. I cant say I blame either side. I can understand both, Im not saying its a good excuse but it happens to every one at some point in thier lives so I believe its part of growing up.

Cobra
I missed quite a bit while i was away. Let's catch up.

Which Marauder can you most relate to and why?
I think probably Lupin. I am more of the no risks person in my group of friends. I try not to pick on people so that basically counts out James and Sirius.Although in the quiz thing i took i am most like James...

Why didn't Lupin stop James and Sirius from picking on Snape in "Snape's worst memory"? Well, I agree with, padfootx3. He basically summed it up. They were being teenaged boys and especially James showing off. Especially if Lily was there, Which i think she was, because she might have thanked him and James might have got upset because Lupin "moved in on his territory."
LittleRed7771
Which Marauder can you most relate to and why?

Like Cobra, I'm more like Lupin. I was by no means popular, and I didn't pick on other people or bully them. Instead, I was more of the quiet and loyal one. I enjoyed fun but not at the expense of others. I also didn't hang out with people that were considered "above my station" so to speak. I hung out with people I considered my equals. That propably sounds strange, but you'd have to know the high school I went to.

Why didn't Lupin stop James and Sirius from picking on Snape in "Snape's worst memory"?

I also have to agree with padfootx3. It's possible that Lupin had tried at one point to control them but realized he couldn't. As you said, boys will be boys. He propably figured that one day they would turn out alright once they outgrew that phase in their lives. I just wonder if a part of Lupin thinks that Snape deserved it as well for some reason and chose not to stop them because of it, but he didn't want to join in at the same time.

Your questions always sound so much more professional then mine, lol. Mine are always just my ramblings...hehehe! tongue.gif This sounds like some kind of action news interview! Anyways, I am making no sense so ummmm, I'll just answer the question now. I'm probably a mix between James and Lupin (I decided to break the rules and pick two!). I do like to read and have some time for quiet contemplation...and I am pretty good at comforting people. But at the same time I like to have fun, occassionally kind of mean fun, and I am naturally smart. Yeah, I think that's it.

Why didn't Lupin stop James and Sirius from picking on Snape in "Snape's worst memory"?

I do agree with all of you guys, but I also think that it's also a bit out of fear. He wasn't the most outgoing of the group so he probably felt that if he stood up to his friends they might desert him. They were, after all, the first real friends that he had who knew his secret and I am sure that he was probably afraid of losing them. It takes a lot of courage to be able to stand up to your friends, and the better friends they are the more you have to lose. I know that I usually refrain from saying anything when my best friends are ranting about someone they really hate because I don't want them to think that I am taking sides. But that might just be me.

That's my two cents!

Well, as long as it isn't at someone else's expense. *coughSnapecough* wink.gif

Seriously, though, you make a really good point about Lupin. With his "delicate" situation, I'm sure he was surprised and thankful for the friends he has. I doubt he would want to do anything to jeopardize their friendship. He might not have been scared about them telling his secret, but I'm sure he was scared that he wouldn't be able to find more friends like them that accepted him for who he was. So, good call HP_RULES! biggrin.gif

If you could sit down with one of the Marauders and ask them a question, which one would it be and what would you ask?

Okay, on with the question. I can think of a question for each of them that I would like to ask. But, seeing as how I said "one" of them, I'll have to narrow it down. *contemplates for a moment* I guess there is one that I would like to know more than the others. I would have to ask Lupin how he has managed to stay compassionate and caring all these years even with all of the hardships and prejudice he has had to endure at the hands of the very wizards he is trying to help save from LV. Most people probably would have walked away and said that they are on their own. I would guess that it had something to do with the Marauders, Harry, and DD, but I would like to here the story from him.
After the Burial
If you could sit down with one of the Marauders and ask them a question, which one would it be and what would you ask?

I want to ask James what is the REAL reason why he and Snape were enemies. I never bought into that "Well, they just didn't like one another" routine. There must have been some reason why they loathed one another so completely. (I know, there is the Snape Loved Lily theory, but that is too easy.)
Cobra

HP_RULES, AFter the Burial and LittleRed all had amazing questions. I would probably ask one of them but to be different i will think of my own. Hmmm thi is tough it wont be as good...I would ask Peter why he betrayed his only friends, if he truely was sorry and (if there was a way) would he bring them back with his own life?

Are you sure you aren't skilled in Legilmency? That was the question I was thinking about for Peter, but I choose the question for Lupin instead. sleep.gif And the one for James was close to the one After the Burial came up with. Well, you know the saying-Great minds think alike!! biggrin.gif

I have to say that HP_RULES!'s question for Sirius was better than the one I had thought about. I guess it's like he said, his "brillance outweighs that of a normal person!" wink.gif laugh.gif Good answers from everyone so far!
Padfoot, Prongs and Moony
Okay, I think I would do the same, I would ask Peter why he betrayed James and Lily, and then saved his own neck by putting Sirius in jail. It has bugged me, The other Marauders.... I can't think of any major questions.

I think that Marauders are skilled at Legimens but I doubt Peter got the hang of it, so it would be easy to tell if he was lying. (sorry for my other post, it was random and off topic, sorry)
Cobra
Well, I doubt that they are/were skilled at legilmency, padfoot, prongs and moony, because we don't have any examples or Lupin or Sirius looking Harry in the eyes and stuff like with Snape and Dumbledore. Maybe James because we do not have any experiences with him.

By the way, can I ask more questions for them?

Hehehe, that's pretty clever! *second guesses her decision* Lol! Funny, funny stuff!!!!! laugh.gif You make me laugh (I know I said that before, but I figured I would throw it in there again)!!

Very nice questions everyone, it was nice to see some originality!!! It's cool how everyone chose a different Marauder. Hmmm, well I will say that for the other Marauders my questions were relatively similar to those you guys posted, except for the one about James (I never thought of asking about him and Snape tongue.gif ), but give me a second and I can probably think of more. *jeopardy music* Well, considering how little we know about James there are a few questions I'd like to ask him such as the following: What was his career? What about Lily's eyes is so special (he must know!)? How did Dumbledore come to be in possession of his invisibility cloak?

I'm with Cobra on this one! I think that if they were legilimens (pardon my bad spelling tongue.gif ) then there would have been clues somewhere in the story! I don't think that it was necessary for any of them to work to develop that particular skill that it was necessary that they became animagi to help Lupin. Just my thoughts though, you never know!

However, you'll have to get it back from the high bidder on ebay! laugh.gif Just kidding!

And I agree with Cobra. I don't think the Marauders could do Leglimency. As I said before, I think the only reason Lupin was able to correctly interpret Harry's thoughts was from the look on his face. It came as a bit of a shock when they showed up to get him and with all of those people Harry had never met. It would stand to reason that those thoughts would be going through Harry's head and thus Lupin would correctly anwswer his unasked question. And as Cobra mentioned, JKR hasn't given us clues to the possibility like she did DD and Snape.

Okay, seeing as how this thread hasn't had much traffic over the last few days, I thought I'd try asking another question. It's probably not a very good question, but I was trying to think of something that hasn't been asked before. smile.gif

Imagine that LV had never existed and all 4 Marauder's were still alive. What do you think their relationship as a group would be? Would all 4 still be going strong, or do you see one or two branching off from the rest?
Padfoot, Prongs and Moony
Wow, that's a good question, and sorry about earlier, I thought that they might be able to....

If Voldemort never existed then I think that Peter would have never turned on his other friends so James and Lily would still be alive. Then Harry would have been happy because he would have Remus, Sirius and Peter, plus his parents with him also. And if there were no groups that could have influnenced Peter's change (besides Voldemort, but still influencial), then the Marauders would have been as close as they were in school, probably. The only one I see leaving would be Peter (since he already did), I can't imagine the rest of them breaking apart. Just my opinon. happy.gif
