Well, I actually screamed "Something Wicked This Way Comes" in the third movie when the Hogwart's chorus sang that part at the beginning of the movie. My friends where more than embarassed and several people laughed at me. I did it unconsiouslly rolleyes.gif
Miss_Dobby
Wow! Some of y'all can get pretty weird if you ask me! woot.gif But thats what makes it so fun and hilarious! hehehe tongue.gif

Anyways... I haven't gone all wacko wacko.gif ..yet..... I do mouth the lines aloud, but then my brother yells at me to Shut UP! because the actors are there for a reason and he doesn't need my running commentary... blah! shutup.gif
But... I can remember when I received the Gof DVD and I watched the Special Edition disk... I was infatuated with the Yule Ball waltz-type-song, and it plays when the Main Menu of "Hogwarts Castle" additional feature opens (if you get what I mean) SO I went dancing and dancing around the lounge coffee table humming the tune over and over as the tune repeated itself....aaaah It was so lovely wub.gif And then afterwards in the shower I still kept humming it... he he he happy.gif

Errr.... I think thats about it...In the cinemas I just sit with my eyes glued to the screen... I don't really move..at all.. LOL No wait, I can't remember... huh.gif

When I'm not watching HP, then I'd quote silly well-known lines to my folks... haha tongue.gif
Miss Minerva Mcgonagall
I don't do anything to crazy or wierd, but I did get very drunk whilst watching GoF once and whilst watching the maze/graveyard parts I was just shouting at Harry in my head 'No do this! Quick RUN!' though...I knew nothing I said would change what he did, I had seen it many times before mellow.gif
Then I paused it on the part where Cedric died and got another drink...then when I came back started crying as if I'd only just seen it laugh.gif
It was a wierd night...

Weird things I've done while watching the Harry Potter movies? Well, I fell asleep during the first time I saw the Goblet of Fire on DVD. happy.gif If that's not weird I don't know what is! Also, I memorized the enitire first movie Philosopher/ Sorceror stone because I watched it soo many times and whenever I watch it over, I like to recite and act the character's parts. tongue.gif
Hilly
I don't think I've done anything too crazy, although, one time I did have to practically beg my friend to watch Sorcerer's Stone at her birthday party. And I also made my brother sit down and watch Goblet of Fire with me (I said I'd do something he wanted after. That never happened). But, no, nothing to weird or crazy
mrs hagrid
I can also tell you the lines in the movie that are written in the book cause I have seen them so many times that I can recall them all the time.

The weirdest thing I have done is ask my friends to watch HP with me. No one wants to. I almost have to beg them. And when the music is being played in a particular scene I conduct to the beat. Not a smart thing to do, especially when others are looking at you with a fearful expression.

Someone mentioned the phrase "something wicked this way comes'. Well, I saw some big bikkie guy wearing a black tshirt that had a pig riding a motorbike and the words 'something wicked this way comes' and I so desparately wanted to ask him if he got the phrase from the HP movie. I think it comes from shakespear though.

Mrs Hagrid

jiggery-pokery
Well I don't know if it's weird but it's annoying.

Whenever I watch the HP movies with friends I always say what's going to happen next or I go "This part is really funny" yada yada. They get so mad and tell me to shut up. ah well. hp movies are better to see alone anyways. tongue.gif
When Sirius Died I Cried
Well.... *gets thoughtful look*. I suppose wanting to BARF during the Quidditch scene if that counts. See, it was all like watching Harry Potter one and eating peanut butter and jelly. hehe. Before I knew it somehow I'd managed to make myself SICK off that stuff. >.>;;;;; (Don't know how and don't know why cause I was so absorbed in the movie, and ever since I have vowed to NEVER eat PB&J sandwiches will watching HP. lol.). ^^U
mrs hagrid
Well When Sirius Died I Cried, you know that peanut butter and jelly will kill you!! Next time try vegemite sandwiches when you watch Harry Potter movies. They havent made me throw up yet when I eat them during the movie. Maybe you should eat popcorn instead.

Now what was the topic again? Oh yes, wierd things I have done while watching HP. Well, nothing special I guess. I conduct to the music. I mimic the words with the actors. I know when I can leave and go make a sandwich and not miss too much of the action. And I watch to credits right through to the end just so I can listen to the fantastic music. There. All done. tongue.gif

mrs hagrid
hp is my obsession
I shamefully yelled out a spell as if I were the one being attacked. It was in GoF when Voldemort was duelling Harry. It was at a party and I was a little.. wacko.gif..drunk.

It showed my friends how serious my HP addiction was....is biggrin.gif
xXTonksXx
i havent done a lot of wierd things when i was watching hp...i know i'll cry in ootp i really want to take a fluffy pillow with me to see it... every time i get the dvds i try to read the book at the same time but because the movies skip a lot it never works! whenever i go to see it in the cinema i dont let myself look away in case i miss anything! i have to take all the pictures that have been released from that movie with me so me and my friends can look at them before it starts and in the break in the middle.
muggle67
Ive talked to the tv like I said ya right when harry said he was going to kill siruis. And suff its dumb and my sis thought I was talking to her
beebeebuzz
I like to throw small plushy objects at the tv when the person on there is someone I don't like. For example, Voldemort or Snape. Its really fun. happy.gif
PottyHead
In PoA I held my tounge in the cinema (though i did moan and winge after) but when it came out on DVD I was literally screaming at the TV like 'Tell us about the marauders you dillard!!!' and everyone owuld just look at me like I was freak! but come on!! you can't not tell us about the marauders or not tell us that Sirius broke into the boys dormitory!!!

In GoF when I went to see it the cinema my fried was literally holding onto her seat staring at the screen and breathing so heavily tongue.gif! She tried to attack my friend and me when we said 'look we told you viktor krums a pumpkin head!' after Ron said it tongue.gif Also I started screaming and crying my eyes out when Cedric died...everyone looked at me as if to say 'it's not real' but I was so mad I was screaming things like 'Don't get the cup! Don't stand there go back go back!!'..It was quite embarassing but hey, its HP!.

In PS I memorized the line where Hermione says 'I had you looking in the wrong section' put my hair in bunches to make it curley (everyone told me i looked like her when i did this..bearing in mind I was 11 at the time tongue.gif!) went into school the next day and started reciting almost all of Hermiones lines in a perfect accent that sounded almost exactly like her tongue.gif!

Also even now when I try and talk about my theories for HP people look at me strange, half my friends don't like HP so they're just stood there like 'I dunno what you're on about' but one day in my drama class I was talking about it with two of my friends and about 10 minutes later we could hear the people behind us talking about it too, it soon turned into like a whole class discussion tongue.gif!

cristipotter
well, I haven't done anything exactly weird...

While watching Ootp, I laughed when Sirius died because Harry started screaming and I just couldn't help but remember that "Harry Potter American Idol" thing in YouTube...so yeah!

I am always humming the music (specially from GoF...the Yule Ball song...)

Oh, and one time with a friend we watched SS and we would pause the movie at random times just to see their faces...it was funny biggrin.gif
hermione2293
well i used to dress up whenevr i watched the movie at home. i also recite the lines when i watch the movie. biggrin.gif

I always recite the lines and during the fifth movies midnight premiere at my theatre I took great pleasure in pointing my fake wand up at the screen everytime Umbridge or Fudge was on and muttering everything from AK, Crucio, to silencio whatever it took.

and while everyone was talking I screamed silenci and everyone laughed
workaholic_1231
I don't know how well this constitues as a wierd thing I've done while watching.

When I was watching GoF on dvd, I was multitasking and working on my fan fic as well. I was paying attention to the characters who I was putting into my fic, to get ideas on the best way to write them.

I find that rather wierd when I stop to think about it. tongue.gif
nitwit oddment blubber tweak
haha oh iv done some silly stuff under the influence of Harry Potter.
Many of my friends refuse point blank to go to the cinema with me to see it because one time during GoF when it was the 2nd task and they skipped the whole Dobby Gillyweed thing I got up and started shouting at the screen 'NO NO ITS DOBBY NOT YOU'
I was forcefully removed....
and of course I'll never live it down sleep.gif
also back in the day of PS when I went with like my entire class me and a bunch of people used popcorn cartons as hats..and also decided it would be fun to speak all of Hagrids lines as he said them

No.1_HarryPotterFan
Whoa. What have I done? Well, when I recently was watching ABC Family, they had a Harry Potter Marathon. I have seen the movies so many times that I recite the lines with the characters- normally. But when I found out it was the extended version I started jumping up and down and yelling... yeah, I'm wierd. I know it. But I am a very PROUD HARRY POTTER FANATIC!!! biggrin.gif
Gryffindor Head Girl
Oh, many things.

1. I screamed at the T.V. (thankfully not in the theaters) before Harry and Cedric took the Triwizard Cup. Screaming 'don't touch the Cup, Harry!' has been proven a bad way to stop Harry. I also recite the lines. Apparently it's very annoying. shutup.gif (I'll try to hold it in)

2. When Harry came over the stadium wall after he and dragon had their battle, I stood up and started cheering. Many people stared.

3. At any Quidditch match I love to clap at the end. It makes me so happy when Harry leads the team to victory!

4. Anything in the last hour of PoA involving Harry mistrusting Sirius makes me scream at the T.V. in an almost desperate way.

5. I throw things at the T.V. when someone I don't like is on it (ex. Voldemort, Malfoy, Snape, etc, etc).

HAHA! Oh my god, next time I watch OOTP I'm going to think about that American Idol video!! It's sooo funny.

Anyway, I haven't done a lot of strange things WHILE watching Harry Potter, though I have yelled at the screen quite a few times! Especially while watching OOTP in theatres haha.

For example when Dumbledore was battling Voldemort I yelled "YOU SHALL NOT PASS" (only Lord of the Rings lovers will get it) haha.

And when Harry was talking he was saying, "We've got one thing that Voldemort doesn't" haha I yelled in the theatre "Yes, a nose!" Hahah.

But after watching Harry Potter, me and my friend yell spells at things ALL the time. I have an issue with yelling ACCIO at certain objects and LUMOS at light switches and AVADA KEDAVRA when someone does something I don't like. haha smile.gif
E.Austen
Once my brother and I were watching Order of the Phoenix and when Harry gave the prophecy to Lucius Malfoy in the Death Room, I yelled, "Push him in the veil!"
rach2603
me and my friends always have to go to c new movies in the theatre twice coz we get chucked out the first times for laughing at things that other people realy dont get and we go into hysterics- ie filch running along the great hall in GOF and when snape pokes the fake mad eye in the cheek with his wand lol

we also shout out spells and wave around sticks during duels and sometimes even commentate and scream at things like harry falling off his broomstick
and chant 'go go Gryfindoor!' during quiditch matches
and we totally danced like hippogriffs - GOF yule ball
PLEASE NOTE we do all this at later showing at night so as not to upset too many kids
hot-for-harry
I don't really do much when I'm watching Harry Potter. If you watch my face, though, you'll probably see my expressions change drastically. I tend to do that a lot when I'm watching an intense movie or show.

In GoF, I screamed 'No Cedric, don't touch the cup' once, but that's about it.
DeSs
I chuckle most of the time. Always. But the most embarrassing thing I've done is this: we were watching OotP at my grandparents, and all the family was there, and of a sudden they started talking about how many movies there were left, and all (you know, I'm almost the only one - besides my cousin, but even so - who knows and love everything about HP and so understands it), and then my dad or someone said: "Yeah, they'll have to run, because the guy who plays Harry must be in the twenties. Oh, gosh, I piped up: "There're two more movies (before we knew about the split) and of course they're making them, there's one of the run!" Ha, I was like a tomato blush.gif
Then, when I watched GoF dvd I used to play it forwards to the part in the credits they play This is the Night.
I also tried to copy Hermione's hair-do in the Yule Ball for my Prom Party, but I think mine sucked sad.gif I printed the screencap where you can see it and took it to the hairdresser. Then I stuffed it in my purse and took it with me to the party happy.gif
Oh, and also, I wanted to practise my English, so the past two nights, I've been writing some lines for my sister and we played DH ... laugh.gif She barely can speak English, so her pronunciation was awful, poor dear, and so her acting was, but she helped me at least! I played Hermione most of the time, and in a moment, my sis told me "Wait! There, it was just like Hermione! What you just said ... repeat that!" tongue.gif She means Emma, when she says that. It's so annoying when people doesn't get the difference between actors and characters!
snapesgirlforlife
Ok, now this is gonna take a lot of me to put this out there, but ok... during the movies(any of them) I will find a place where I can be in the movie too. Like, if(in the 5th movie) the DA is practicing, I will practice with them. It's kinda weird. I won't watch them unless I'm home alone because I know that I like to act them out while the movie is going. It's a bit crazy, but I can't help it. I LOVE to act.

That's all I got
Sofia_Snape
We tried to do a harry potter all nighter where we were going to watch all of the films back to back. We started quite late and eventually decided to miss out number 4. Then I went to sleep half way through OOTP and woke up at about 2am when the credits came on. But we did dress up and have wands and hedwig and things. biggrin.gif xx
Snapefan21
Weird things I've done while watching Harry Potter....Hmmm.... Well, once I made paper airplanes and threw them around the room... Heehee.
When Alan Rickman comes on screen, I normally jump up and down with glee. tongue.gif
The Happy Dementor
hmmmmmm.......interseting.......lets see.....

when I went to the cinema to watch OOTP I swor under my breathe when Sirius died but everyone was so quiet everyone heard me anyway and turned round to glare at me and I shrank.....I shrank fast. but I think they completely ruin Sirius's death and I had to let that out even if it was only under my breathe.

hmmmm....I also tried to impercinate the parstle tongue and my grandma gave me weird looks...... and I dropped my apple in the second film when my dad took me to see it. I was only like 7 and we were eating apples in the cinema and the bailisk jumped out of the water and it made me jump so much I dropped my aple and it rolled all the way down to the screen. happy.gif oops! XD
britishemmafan
You guys might not find this weird, but while I was watching OOTP last week and I left the room without pausing the DVD. Then when I got back I had to go back to were I was and wath from there. for me that's pretty weird!!! tongue.gif
smelliarmus
A few times when watching the philosophers stone with my brother and sister we used to act out the scene with voldemort in the forbidden forerst. only we would have voldemort trip up and stuff and make it funny. no idea why. blink.gif
AryaForce
Well, not really. However my friend and I ended up pausing the second one around the quidditch match and listened to Attack of the Clones soundtrack, then we paused that and then played the movie and paused again. See John Williams did both and combinded the songs. Try listening to Zam the Assassin- The Chase Through Coruscant track on Star Wars Attack of the Clones Soundtrack. At the same listen in on the quidditch match in COS when the bludger starts chasing Harry and Malfoy. You'll have to keep pausing and play one over the other to hear the repitition of the music. Key hint: You'll have to strain you ears a lot to hear the music over the bludger.

Other than that, my brother is also a fan, and often fell asleep during the films, when he was really tired.
Loony'sCool
I hate to say this hot-for-harry but I am happy cedric died. If he lived that means the actor would be in the others. And I dont like the actor becuase he played Edward.

I havent done anything to weird. But the person who sat behind us during OoP was funny. Somethings he said were ugly and I cant post them here but it was funny. When Luna's hair patronus desappeared, the guy said "Bye Bye Bunny!" It made me luagh. Then at the end he said "DUH!" when Fudge said "He's back!"
mugglelovrspew
Okay, so I had a bunch of friends over and we had just gotten home from school. I told my friend to put SS in, and we watched it. She and I are the only HP obsessed or even liking out of them all, because they're all to thick to watch them. wink.gif So, during the first Quidditch game, she and I took the brooms from my house and started flying around the island during the game tossing an orange back and forth. But it was so much fun, ha, because we were playing HP songs the whole time.

Does knitting a Gryffindor scarf count? tongue.gif

I watched the films over Christmas a lot, in particular OotP and although I hadn't really thought of it as one of the best Harry Potter films but everytime I knit some more of my scarf I have the possession scene in my head.
Aethonon
My son James and I threw foam darts at the screen every time a Slytherin was on once. And we thought about doing a drinking game (he's over 21, thanks for asking), where we'd have to have a sip everytime Hermione wore pink, every time Draco got his, and every time someone pointed their wand, but we realized we'd get quite wasted if we did that so we didn't do it. tongue.gif

xoxMIA MALFOYxox
I say every line before the person says it because i've watched them so many times. I smile and get happy when Draco and Ron are on and i get blank stares because im so glued to them. I say the spells when the people are fighting im like use something other then that, use reducto,or another. i make faces and say bad things whenever cho is on. and thats all i can think of.
HJP/HJG_TrueLove
I remember I went with about 5 friends and you know how in Order of the Phoenix when Harry kisses Cho in front of that mirror? Well later they have Neville standing in front of it and Harry approaches him and pretty obnoxiously loud my friends and I were like ooooh now its Nevilles turn to kiss Harry and like half the theater heard and some of them burst out laughing while the others made shhhing noises.
