My favorite character is Sawer(only because he's hot)
I really dont like Micheol.
I've been watching it since it started airing!!!
It's weird seeing Dom in LOTR, and then seeing him as a Coch head troubled youth!! rolleyes.gif

lost is a cool show biggrin.gif

*warning spoiler below*

what do you guys think of the death in the lastest episode?
akasha_ishtar
I have become a HUGE fan of lost,I have come to know this show inside out, I think it is one of the best shows out there.

Over here in New Zealand we are up to the episode "The Greater Good", The baby is so cute. The last episode was so sad, I hated it so much, Poor Boone sad.gif , I am going to miss him so much, I was crying right from the start of the episode right untill half an hour after it was finished.

Does anyone know when it is coming out on DVD as I so have to get it, when the Lost magazine is coming out and when the new episodes start in the USA? I like to keep up with all the Lost news I can, so if anyone can help me out it would be so good smile.gif .

just me
LOST started on norwegian television a long time ago... But at that time I didn't have the channel it went on... And when I got it, they were showing episode 13...so I didn't want to begin in the middle of the series.

But last week I saw episodes at one of my friends house! She had downloaded all the episodes (not good..but good for me..lol)!

So now I've borrowed them and I'm on episode 18! Tonight they're showing episode 22 on the television! I'm gonna see episode 18-21 before that!
I can't wait! It's so exciting! biggrin.gif
Padfoot4Ever
The Dvd For Lost comes out on September 6th. I'm not sure when it starts its second season but it will probably be the end of September. There have been some commercials for it. They are hiding in a commercial about Oceanic. I saw it once and I was like "hey thats the plane on lost." I thought it was fake but when I saw the commercial I was confused then I read that is ABC's sneaky way of promoting it. huh.gif

BTW: Miss_Moonstone- I love your avatar. My friend showed me that pic and i cracked up. Hayden is HOT!

okay, LOST is like my tv HP. im not a member of any websites or anything like that but i watch religiously. if there are any fellow LOST freaks here than please post with me! just like HP, LOST provides so much forum fodder that we can beat it to death:).

whatd did everyone think about episode one in season two? im surprised they actually showed whats in the hatch the first episode...and WHO is desmond and why does he get to "control" things? i think its fairly obvious he is what made that lady's toes be able to move and he seems to be controlling the island with his *ahem* computer. the hatch and technology inside of it have a distinctly 70s-80s vibe to it. the records, the piece of crap CPU. oh and theres the little thing about the door having QUARANTINE printed on it...

government conspiracy anybody?

yes so ill admitt, i've never watched lost before. but i watched the season premier and I'm addicted. Like hard core, can't wait until next weeks episode. It was in the beginning when the guy was dancing around and shooting himself with steroids (i think). I dont know that much about the show to theorize, though im going to go to the video place and rent season one....

The first season of "Lost" I really couldn't get into it or follow it because it came on ate 8 pm est, and I didn't get home from church until around 8:30. Also, I would only watch the tail end of it because I was waiting for Alias to come on.

Now that Alias as moved to Thursdays and Lost moved to 9 pm est, I can watch it fully, and I must say, I am really impressed and I like the show a lot. Also, directly after Lost, Invasion comes on, and that's a good show too if any of you Lost watchers just want to leave their tv on.
Superfan_Harry
Okay i am a hugee LOST fan!! Its like my second favorite thing in the world other than harry potter obviously! Anyways i was so mad when they left it as a cliffhanger at the end of season 1 like when the little boy (i forget his name) gets taken away by thoughs guys, what was that about?? Okay... since whatching the first episode of the second season im really confused. Is anybody else? I mean the guy he met in australlia is the guy down in the underground caves?? What is going on? Also whats with the black smoke... what is that stuff? and the old computer? Maybee they explain it in ddue time, but does anyone have any theories they might want to discuss?
secretkeeper
Lost is like 1 of the 3 TV shows that I HAVE to watch every week. It always leaves you with a cliff hanger making you mad a the writers and editors for making it too good. dry.gif Boone was my favorite character in the 1st season. Now its Jack because he seems to be more of the adventerous type this season than he was last season. Last season, he focused on being the leader. Now, it seems that he is thinking about himself a little more. I can't wait till wednesday!
Verona
I absolutely adore the show lost, it includes everything I like about a show. Mystery, cliffhangers (lots and lots), well written characters and some really good emotional moments. Everytime I watch Lost i get more and more questions built up in my mind about everything. Like the goddarn hatch and that strange man inside it... I'm so connected to each character, I feel bad for the when they're sad, and happy for them when something good happens to them. I'm a bit of a Lost nerd, I admit. But I just HAVE to watch it every week.

MOD EDIT: Hi there Verona! Please try to refrain from double-posting(meaning posting twice in a row), it's a waste of bandwidth when you can simply click the 'edit' button to change or add on to your post. It looked like an accident, but please be aware! Thanks! smile.gif

oops sorry about that smile.gif I accidentally clicked twice so it got posted twice, and then I couldn't really find a delete the post button. I'll be more careful next time though.

i dont get as involved when any one character. unlike HP, i dont feel like i really know the characters. i love lost but its not as personal. there is something to be said for getting the sensation of almost spying on the characters. i dont feel like im there, like i do when i read my HP. in a good way. its fun watching how they sort things out. almost like they are some sort of experiment, which *ahem*, they may very well be.
traz-ak
I'm gonna have to disagree with you on the opinion of Lost not being very personal with the characters. They spend a great deal of time getting into each character's personal lives through flashbacks, transitioning from character to character. Sometimes too much time even... but I think it's mostly in an effort to flesh out the characters more, while adding additional mystery and intrigue to the show... But that's just what I think...

You know what else I think? Last night's episode was kind of a big waste of time... I hate to say that. I love Lost, and I even liked last night's episode, but I was still rather annoyed by it. Most the stuff we saw was interesting enough, but we didn't really learn anything that we didn't already know... and I think it was kind of time to learn... well... something! Last night's 'sode was just one big tease! I'd better have a somewhat better idea of what the heck Desmond is doing on the island next week, or else there'll be blood over it!

..........
Oh, and Superfan_Harry.... I can no more tell you what the heck is going on than anybody else. Although:

QUOTE

I'm fairly certain it's been years since the time Jack met Desmond. How many years is unclear, but it was sometime way back when. At least a few years. Possibly four, I might guess (if only because I seem to recall a lot of stuff happening with a lot of different characters four years before the plane crash). But who knows. In any case, I'm pretty sure Jack didn't meet Desmond in Australia. So as odd as it is for him to be there (especially with the computer from like 20 years ago, indicating that he might have been down there far longer than seems reasonable for us to assume based on Jack's flashback) in the first place, it's not quite like Jack just met him in Austrailia and then turned around and there he was on the island too. You know?...
keepstar1331
i agree last weeks episode was pointless, i hope tomorrows is better.

for some reason i think it was longer ago that than, he has a really bad haircut... make sme think 80's early 90's. Also they met in the states, but you could tell Desmond was Australian.

And the girl from Blue Crush is in this weeks episode. I think she was on the plane to which means....more survivors. Though im probably wrong so *shrugs shoulders*
MerMandy
Yep, I'm a Lost fan too. I didn't watch the first season as it aired, but watched all 7 DVDs the two weeks before this season. It didn't take me long to be hooked, but I have to admit that I was disappointed with the 2nd show this season... Nothing really happened. Hope tomorrow's makes up for that.

Oh well - I'm guessing will be finding out what happened to the tail section of the plain when we meet the new girl. ph34r.gif
~SapphireStar~
Season 1 is still being shown in the UK and Im currently up to Season 2, but personally I think it drags on far too long. They really are good writers to be able to make it last so long, but Ive tired of it now.

Maybe I'm the only one on here that still watches the show. Last weeks episode was by far the best episode yet in out of both seasons. That cliffhanger was outstanding, asking Anna Lucia how long it would take to train an army. I was in disbeliefe and I have to watch it again and I watched the sceen where Jack talked to that guy who they saw on the boat at the end of the first season at least 10 times.

That brings me to another interesting question, if they have a boat, why do they stay on the island? How and where does Walt talk to Michael on the computer? So many questions, too many days between Wednesday's. biggrin.gif

I watch Lost too, secretkeeper. Its really a good show. To answer your question, they have a boat for a purpose, maybe sometimes to go fishing and such, and to go kidnap little kids like Walt in their case. But they live on the island and thats why they don't leave. And Michael talked to Walk on the computer in the hatch. Does that answer you're question?

Yes thats a possibilty but why stay there when they can be somewhere else? To get supplies or food or something like that. I know that guy said that it was 'their island' but why stay there for so long?

I guess I wasn's clear on the Walt/Michael thing, is there another Hatch or is there a building that has power that the others live in. Walt has to be on a computer and that computer has to have a power source so what is it. Is it another hatch and is there another computer that can save the world? Hopefully some of these questions will be answered on Wednesday.

I thought this last week's episode was pretty interesting, but in my opinion, the week before (the Eko-centric episode) was "by far the best episode yet in out of both seasons." Or at least one of the best episodes. That one just really worked well for me. For one thing, I love Eko. He's my favorite new character, and probably one of my favorites among all of characters, in fact. Plus, the episode answered a number of good questions (granted, raised plenty more questions in the process, but that seems to be the Lost way), and it just... I don't know, was really great all around, I thought. Anyway...

I don't think we really know nearly enough about the Others to guess why exactly they're there or why they don't want to leave. Whatever the answer, I would guess that it's deeply involved with the nature of the island and what the heck is going on in the first place, so we're not likely to have a definitive answer for quite awhile. But yes, I would agree that it seems that wherever the Others make their headquarters is another structure like the Hatch, but I would guess that while the Hatch (and the place the tail-section-survivors were staying) are more like outposts, and the Others may have control of a more central facility of some sort. Maybe anyway. Walt's communications with Michael would seem to indicate at least that the Others have another facility of at least the same type at the Hatch, if not something more. But then, on the other hand, I'm far from convinced that it was actually Walt that Michael was talking to anyway. I suspect that it wasn't Walt at all, and may or may not have even been one of the Others... but it's all just guesses at this point, so...
Felicia
Yeah, I think the whole ordeal with Michael chatting with Walt on the computer was a trap. How would Walt have been able to gain access to a computer while being held captive by the Others? And now Michael's out there trying to find his son but I'm guessing they've held him captive already, as one of the Others had said, I believe. I'm really eager to see what happens next in the series because it's keeping me glued to the screen every second its on air.
Snowdrop
(I must tell you that this forum is just simply great... really. HP-centered but also having a topic dealing with lost... great biggrin.gif )

I have not seen 2x12 yet (have to download it first) but I was somehow a bit disappointed by Jack's idea of building an army... seems a bit far-fetched (or rather unreachable) for me... unsure.gif

What do you reckon how many seasons are there gonna be?

QUOTE
What do you reckon how many seasons are there gonna be?

That all depends on how the season ends. In my opinion, there will only be 3 seasons. Last season was more of a getting used to the island and them getting used to the fact that no one was coming. This season is more of a grid-lock with the "others". I think that the season will end with a few main characters dying like Charlie and Syide. Last season they seemed to have big roles, but this season, they aren't that important. Last nights episode was focused on Charlie but that made me think that he is being secluded from everybody and that he will do something stupid to get himself killed. As for the next season, I think that the remainder of the people left on the island will be rescued in the end. Now thinking that there is a happy ending this season, they will have changed their "destiny" and will be rescued. hopefully its not that predictible and throws in some twists in there.
Snowdrop
I was thinking of 3 seasons, as well... it would not be very wise to extend it any further, this is not Robinson Crusoe with 40 years to spend on an island. wink.gif
I still haven't seen 2x12 (82.7% downloaded at the time smile.gif ) but I'm a bit afraid of it... the beginning of season 2 was simply great but then it got a bit sentimental but was missing of action if you see what I mean... I just found it disturbing that they were abandoning the Others and rather going to the emotional side (story of Kate, Ana-Lucia etc.) and I missed the old characters as well (there was a period when Locke, Sayid, Hurley appeared pretty rarely). The new episodes however seem to be again full of action I hope it stays so, and I hope that they will not prolong the series just to make more money of it... unsure.gif

Edit: I've just finished 2x12 and well I did not get disappointed at all! It was pretty good, although I missed the explanation part... I mean, where did Charlie have all those dreams from? huh.gif
traz-ak
I don't know how reliable it is, but I seem to recall hearing that the creators of the show said that they were planning on five seasons. In any case, I can't see them only doing three unless ratings have a sudden and extreme drop and ABC decides to cancel it. As long as it pulls in the viewers, ABC will want to keep it on for as long as they can, leaving it up to the makers for when to end it. And if that's the case, I wouldn't expect any less than at least five seasons (and even that number I wouldn't necessarily hold on to hard and fast; they could always decide to prolong it even further, especially if the network requests it, which is a possibility if it does indeed hold onto the ratings).

QUOTE

I agree that as this season nears its close, it will probably focus primarily on the conflict with the Others. If they have captured Michael, then that makes him and Walt (plus countless "tailies" that they've nabbed). If the scenes from next week are any indication (which they may not be; those things are always misleading), then it looks like they may be kidnapping more soon. I think that they'll end up taking the Others on some how at the end of the season. As for some main characters dying... I don't know about Sayid. He hasn't been the focus lately, but there are so many cast members on this show, focus has to (and does) drift as need be. I don't know that the fact that it hasn't been on Sayid lately means much. But Charlie... I don't dislike Charlie... but I do kinda think they should've killed him awhile back. To me, when they seemingly killed him, but then it all turned out to be a fake-out, in the first season... I don't like those fake-outs. It seems cheap. And Charlie hasn't really been a necessary character, in my opinion... well, ever, really. But surprisingly, I'm actually changing my opinion now. If you recall, Rousseau (the French woman) warned of some sort of disease or something that affects people, changes them. After Charlie's peculiar behavior last night, I'm starting to think that whatever it was that Rousseau was talking about may be getting to Charlie. Or at least I hope so. That would explain a lot of his actions that are otherwise a bit much, even for the circumstances. But I agree he may very well die by the end of the season.

Um... yeah, I think that's about all I've got right now. Later.
Snowdrop
Oh yeah, that disease you mentioned is something I'm very curious about... when seeing in a trailer early in season 2 that Sawyer is gonna collapse I thought that it may be in connection with the disease Rousseau mentioned... but I was wrong... happy.gif however the other survivors said something about a disease when they first met Michael, Sawyer and Jin... I'm positive it will have some importance later on... rolleyes.gif

About Charlie: I never liked him very much to tell ya the truth but this time I really felt sorry for him and was sort of relieved to see Locke taking the statues away from him. Anyway, I think he was not very important, but from now on this baby-danger-thing will give him some real importance... huh.gif
felix_felicis_444
Well, I have watched a few episodes, and I believe that if I started watching the series from the beginning I would like it very much. I did not though, and I do not have enough time to "catch up" with the first few seasons. Oh well. My father, on the other hand is obsessed....he just started watching and went out to buy the entire first season rolleyes.gif .... Thats exactly what I think too. I think that the mysterious black cloud has something to do with the disease. What my friends that watch the show too, believe that the cloud goes into your memory and leaves part of itself in you. Charlie watched the cloud and Echo have a stairdown and thats when Charlie started having those "haliousinations" about Aaron being in danger.

As far as the previews for the next episode, I saw at the end the others taking someone. To me it looked like Jin or that girl Hurley has a thing for. It only gives a brief glemps of the person being dragged off. The only reason that I can think of it being that other girls is that the others have a list of the people that were on the back of the plane and they are wanting to complete their goals. I know that Jack is wanting to get the guns but Locke moved them or hide them. I think in the next few episodes, there will be a lot more action.

Where did you find that out? I looked on the website and I didn't see anything about how many seasons they were planning on making.

A thing that I haven't been able to come to a conclusion is where is Michael? Did he get captured or is he still in the jungle? That guy never said that he found or killed him, he never mentioned him when he was talking to Jack

Like I said, I don't know how reliable it is. It's just something I've heard second-hand from some source that said something about one of the creators making that projection. Who knows when or where or even who exactly it was that said it. I can't even remember where I might have picked that up, but good money would be either from TelevsionWithoutPity or Aintitcool news, which are two sites I frequent that regularly talk about Lost. The only thing I can really say about it is: even if one of the creators did say it, you still have to take it with a grain of salt. And the more removed the information is from whoever originally said it... well, just pile on more salt, I would have to say. But either way, I think the safe bet is on more than three years as long as ratings stay up and it doesn't get cancelled.

QUOTE

I haven't analyzed it or anything, nor even taken a second look at it, but from the one time that I watched the scenes, it looked to me like it was Sun that they were taking. I am very curious why the Others seem to choose the specific people they choose to take and when. I don't have too many ideas on the subject.

QUOTE
A thing that I haven't been able to come to a conclusion is where is Michael? Did he get captured or is he still in the jungle?

I've been wondering the same thing. From what the dude said, I believe he told Jack that Michael hadn't found them and that he wouldn't. If that's true, then it implies that the Others didn't capture him and didn't seem to intend to. But even with that, I wouldn't be surprised if the writers just ignore that implication and have him turn up as a captive anyway, when and if we get to see what becomes of the Other's captives.

In regard to the black cloud or Lostzilla as I believe TelevisionWithoutPity refers to the Lost monster... I'm still trying to figure out exactly what I think about that, but you may be onto something there.

QUOTE

I can relate to the not having time to catch up with these things, though just in case you were inclined to catch up at some point, you wouldn't actually have a "few seasons" to catch up on (unless you wait it out quite a bit more) They're only in the middle of the second season, so.... just FYI.
Snowdrop
I guess Michael is somewhere just out there, looking for Walt, but has not been captured by the Others, that'd fit into the things the 'Other'-guy said... unsure.gif

Lostzilla is really funny LOL biggrin.gif

The very thing I both like and hate in Lost is that I have so many questions... eg. we still don't know what those numbers are, why they have to type them in every now and then, where Walt went, what the disease really is, etc. huh.gif this is what makes Lost a really great show... I advise you to catch up with it, it's really worth it wink.gif

Ok I am in the UK and the first series finished a few weeks ago. I know some episodes have come out in the USA so could you please please please tell me what is down the hatch and what those numbers are and who the others are and what has happened to Walt!! Thank you.
Snowdrop
http://abc.go.com/primetime/lost/episodes/201.html - here you can find all the information you are looking for wink.gif
Anyway, some answers:
1. sadly we don't know what the numbers are... huh.gif
2. the only thing we know about Walt is that he is fine... somewhere with the Others. Michael went after him few episodes ago, but did not return.
3. the hatch itself is sort of a bunker built for a research project... with guns, with a strange computer room, and even with a comfortable 'living room'.

I live in Hungary and here we still have the first season (somewhere around 1x20 I guess), that's why I decided to download the whole series wink.gif I just can't wait until it comes out here... the second season is more than exciting, with just a few answers but loads of new questions and mysteries happy.gif
Pheonix2Fire
Hmm... James Pickles. Snowdrop got mostly right. wink.gif In fact, we do know what the numbers signify. (To tell you the truth, we find out in season one. smile.gif) If you can recall, the number sequence on the side of the hatch is identical to Hurley's unlucky numbers from his flashbacks.Which is also why he was mumbling those numbers after Locke, Kate, Jack and him were coming back from getting the dynamite.

When you get the chance, maybe you can revisit the episode entitled, "Numbers" from the 1st season. It'll explain it there. wink.gif In short Hurley had those as lottery numbers one day and ever since, whenever the numbers were around him, bad luck sprung up... (A bit confusing I know...*chuckle*)

Yes Walt is fine, as Snowdrop stated. And the hatch is a government research facility for some odd project conduction. It’s called “Dharma –“ something or the other. (Lost is the show with the most answers left at the end of the episode... smile.gif) You'll have to see it to completely understand, mate.

And as Snowdrop pointed out. This season is much more fruitful in the action and in the overall plotline. It just has more umpf in it. tongue.gif Anyway, hope that explains it. Looking forward to Season 2 is most definitely not a sin, believe me. smile.gif

Phoenix

EDIT: Oooo!!! New episode tomorrow, mates! (For all those in the US...) I can't wait! I really hope Locke doesn't have to hit Charlie again... sad.gif That was sad. We'll see... Then again; more action: more discussion... I think. smile.gif

I don't think that's what they were getting at in the question of what the numbers signify. Yes, the numbers (according to Hurley's flashbacks) appear to be supremely unlucky, but we still don't really know anything about them. Why are they unlucky. Why do they show up everywhere, such as on the hatch (or even on fortune-cookie fortunes on Veronica Mars -- tongue.gif Hee!)? What is their relationship to the island. Just the fact that they appear to be somehow unlucky really doesn't explain anything. Though, one more thing we do know about the numbers though from Season 2 is that they are used as some sort of entry code to be put into a computer that they found down the hatch. It was indicated that something horrible would happen if the numbers were not entered everytime the clock started to run down, but who knows how much of that is true, or what might really happen. They're doing it anyway, just in case...

QUOTE
Yes Walt is fine, as Snowdrop stated.

While I agree that Walt is probably fine, I think we should note that we don't really know that. We haven't actually seen Walt since he was taken by the Others. Some of the characters have seen him in the jungle drenched in water and muttering something, but they're visions of some sort, not unlike many of the visions that different characters have had from time to time, such as Jack seeing his father in the jungle in the early part of the first season. The closest we've come to to real confirmation about Walt's state of being is his communication with Michael on the computer, but as stated, we can't really be sure that it was Walt talking to Michael on that computer. In fact, while I fully believe that Walt is fine, for all we actually know about the situation, he could even be dead. Not that I think he is. Just that we haven't been given positive confirmation on his well-being. Just indications about it that have led us to jump to certain conclusions. And really, just as Harry Potter fans, we should be well guarded against such conclusion-jumping already, as experience with the HP books should only have shown us how erroneous we tend to become when we allow ourselves to be led in such a way.... if you follow me there (I think I worded that in such a way that even I had a hard time following myself, so I hope it makes some amount of sense).

The numbers on the hatch are obviously what the numbers are for the computer and Hurley's winning lotto numbers. I can't remember them all but I am pretty sure that none of them are prime. Most lucky numbers are prime like 3rd times a charm, or 7 but all of the other numbers aren't as lucky. Thats my therory on that anyway.

While I agree that Walt is probably fine, I think we should note that we don't really know that. We haven't actually seen Walt since he was taken by the Others. Some of the characters have seen him in the jungle drenched in water and muttering something, but they're visions of some sort, not unlike many of the visions that different characters have had from time to time, such as Jack seeing his father in the jungle in the early part of the first season

Not to jump to anything, but if he wasn't OK, why would he be able to use the computer. I think that him being soking wet was because of the rain. Before Boone's sister was shot, she and Sayid saw Walt, but it was raining. When she first saw him, there was a thunderstorm outside I believe and thats what woker her up to see Walt. As far as what he is saying, I think that he is speaking backwards. He seems to pause between words and he sounds like hes hick-uping. If you try to talk backwards, it sounds a lot like what Walt is saying.

Been meaning to reply to this. I also enjoy Lost, great show.

My theory is that Claire and/or Aaron will be the next to go. They haven't had a flashback episode with her for a long time and it seems like they're setting up for it.

Re the numbers --- well, just look at my username. Although "42," of course, actually has a rather different significance, for those in the know. smile.gif

4, 8, 15, 16, 23, 42 ... If I'm not mistaken, those are the numbers, so one of them is actually prime. In any case, I still don't think much has really been explained about the numbers.

Even if he was okay, why would he be able to use the computer? As I pointed out before, we don't really know that that was Walt on the other end of that computer. Yes, whoever it was claimed to be Walt, but that doesn't mean that it's true. Case in point: for all anybody here knows, I could very well be a giggly 13-year-old girl who likes candlelit dinners and long walks on the beach. I'm not, but I could easily claim that I was, and who here could really dispute me? You can't see me. You don't KNOW that I'm not a giggly 13-year-old girl who likes candlelit dinners and long walks on the beach. In that sense, the person talking to Michael on the computer could very easily not have been Walt, but led Michael to believe that it was Walt for whatever other reasons. And when you think about it, this possibility makes sense because whatever Walt's doing while being kept by the Others God-knows-where, it really doesn't seem likely that the Others are giving him computer-time. And while it may be conceivable that he's managed to get to the computer from time to time without the Others knowing, it really isn't conceivable that he's managed to get away multiple times, AND have those times both (because it seemed to me like there were at least two times they talked on the computer, probably more) just happen to coincide with time that Michael is on the computer. Now, of course, one could argue that Walt's very special powers that he may or may not have could be giving him just the luck he needs to defy the odds in this situation, but on the other hand... maybe not...

In my opinion, Walt wasn't actually there in either cases. He was just appearing to Shannon just like Jack's dad appeared to him. So I don't know how that would affect whether he could be drenched by the rain or not, if that is the case. But I personally was under the impression that there's a different reason why he appeared to Shannon (and Sayid) so wet. But that's beside the point. About the speaking backwards thing... yeah. I agree. In fact, I didn't hear it, but there's a radio show on a local radio station here on which the people who do the show really like Lost and discuss it every week. And the week that Walt was talking backward to Shannon, they took the audio clip and played it backward to determine what he was saying, and apparently he was saying something about, "The Others are coming." Like I said, I heard all this second-hand from a couple other people who heard the show, and if he said more, the people I heard it from couldn't remember what the rest was, but... there that is.

If you're speaking of the significance of "42" that I think you're speaking of, then I just have to say: nice reference. And with that, I'll just say: So long and thanks for all the fish!

Ok, who watched last night's episode?? That was the most confusing episode that I have ever seen. I know that Charlie wanted Locke to look like a fool but why did he have to beat Sun and put a hood over here to do it. It just doesn't make sense.

Now the flashbacks of Sawyer made me think that he had something to do with the guns. I knew that he would manipulate Kate but I didn't get why he got so offensive on Jack when he took those pain killers away from him. I know he didn't like his stuff being looked though but he freaked out. Why? I'm still wondering about that.

Now on to the previews of next weeks episode, they finally caught one of them, or supposedly 'caught' one of the others. I think that its a set up and they are watching everything they do now that the survivors know that they are here. I think someone has to die in the next episode and the action is starting to come again.
Agent0042
What Charlie did was a distractor. He wanted to trick people into thinking that either the Others or Ana Lucia had attacked Sun.

As for Sawyer's getting freaked out, well, that's just how he is. It's like you said --- he didn't like stuff he considered his being messed with.
traz-ak
I love Sawyer.... I just wanted to say that...

But yeah... he was kind of fed up, I think, and wanted to make a point, while also taking some of the power away from Locke and Jack, who quite simply run things, though nobody's ever really questioned them running things, nor challenged them. So Sawyer did. I actually like the fact that he did it. I think I might like it if Charlie continues to get darker too. It makes him more interesting. Also, as far as Sawyer's getting especially angry with Jack, of all people, taking the pills, there's also the fact that Sawyer and Jack have never really gotten along. They rub each other the wrong way, so when one of them does something that gets on the other's nerves, it has a way of being worse with them than it might with people who don't necessarily already hate each other.

About somebody maybe dying soon... I've heard that someone may die soon, but I don't know much about it. Something that I read hinted toward it, but I didn't read any more deeply because I didn't want to be spoiled in case there was anything truly spoilery in it.

yeah so last nights episode was wicked....weird!

man now Charlie is bad dry.gif

I AM SO HAPPY!!!!!!!!!!!

They are going to let the timer go! yay! I want to know what happens!
traz-ak
Oh yeah. I'm looking forward to them letting the timer go too. I was surprised to see that in the preview. I had expected it to be longer before they just let it go for some reason. Of course, if they let it go and nothing happens, then it would be a lot more underwhelming the longer they wait to do that. And if they let it go and something big happens, well, it is February sweeps so I guess now that I think of it, something big probably will happen. Hopefully anyway... Yeah, I don't know what I'm talking about. But I'm looking forward to that a lot.
Snowdrop
Oi, Sawyer is such a jerk, I love him! happy.gif

I don't think that letting the timer go will have an immediate effect. They were warned not to use the computer for communication, but Michael did, and seemingly nothing happened. It will surely have a big effect, but not immediately after breaking the 'rule'. I reckon this will be the case with the timer too. huh.gif
blah
I think Sawyer did what he did for several reasons.

First off he probably grew up in an orphanage or on the streets so he has had very little to call his own. When Jack took the stuff from Sawyer's bag (even though it should belong to the group) Sawyer took it personally because he's super protective about his property.

Second, I'm sure that taking orders from Jack and Locke wasn't sitting well with him and he knew the only way to make his opinions count would be if he had something to bargain with. Now he has the guns.

I totally agree with him though. I mean why should Jack and Locke be the only ones with the combo to the guns? Although, I wish Sawyer didn't have to ask Charlie to scare Sun (BTW, he didn't beat her secretkeeper, he just put the hood over her head. Sun fell and got the bump herself) And I really wish Sawyer didn't have to con Kate into the whole mess. He's so worried Kate won't accept him, he'd rather screw up their relationship himself than find out.
