Well, it's about time I posted my new rules for my baby creation (lol ), The Unofficial Harry Potter Trivia Tournament. As some of you know, the first version of this 'game' didn't work out so well--as it was my first game creation--and my first self-created topic altogether, the planning part turned out to be--well.. let's just say, it could've gone better lol SO: here they are; the NEW and (hopefully) IMPROVED rules of TUHPTT! (i don't feel like typing out the entire name again lmbo)

RULES (last updated October 30th, 9:38pm est. time)
1. Most of the basic rules of the first version of this game will continue to be used--however, there have been some MAJOR changes to some of them, so even if you've played the first version or even just scanned through the rules of that topic purely out of interest, please read these as well before participating!

2. Aquamatey (me) will make the ultimate decisions on the participants' scores and will be in charge of the leaderboard/scores, and the start/end dates of each individual round. For more information, or if you have any questions about what this includes, please feel free to send me an Owl! I'd be happy to answer any questions that you may have!

3. Anyone may act as the questioner--however, to be the one active questioner whose questions will count towards anyone's scores, that questioner MUST be the person who last answered a question correctly posted by the current official questioner, is still online/active in the forums, and was offered the position by the active questioner who no longer desires to be the questioner! (again, any questions about this rule, please send me an Owl!)

4. Points will be awarded as followed: (all answers must be to official questions only--see rule 3 for more info)
~5 points goes to the first correct answer to a question that is in Multiple Choice form. (What is the name of the first book? (A. Harry Potter and the Water Bottle the was Filled with Poison (B. Harry Potter and the Study of What Happenes When You Tickle a Sleeping Dragon or (C. Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's (Philosopher's) Stone)
~10 points goes to the first correct answer to a question that is in Scrambled form. (meiorhne gnrrage--correct answer=Hermione Granger)
~13 points goes to the first correct answer to a Fill In The Blank form of a question. (The second book of the Harry Potter series is called Harry Potter and the ____________ ___ _____________.)
~15 points goes to the first correct answer to a question that is in Question/Answer form. (What is Ron's last name?)
~7 points goes to the first correct answer to a question that is in true/false form.
~The active questioner will recieve 1 point with each question that he/she asks so that the position of Active Questioner is not neutral (doesn't recieve points for what they're doing).
***IF ANYONE has any suggestions for new question forms or point-amounts, PLEASE send me an OWL about it!! I'd love to hear anyone's suggestions!

5. If Aquamatey thinks that anyone's questions are not sufficient, such as the example questions above (questions that are too easy; questions that you just ask so you can add up your score), he can choose to give the job to someone else for the time being. So in other words, please do not do the forementioned things, I really want this game to run smoothly. I won't be too hard on anyone, but if you ask an extremely easy question, like 'Does Harry Potter have hair?', I will remind you of this rule. thanks and please, everyone; have fun!

6. Please, everyone, I cannot emphasize this rule enough: Please do not get off-topic here--I created this topic to be a game, not to discuss anything else--please save that for the appropriate forum topics! Again, it may seem like I'm being really strict on these rules, but I just want to run a smooth game here! thanks

7. If no one is doing the job of the questioner at the current time--for instance, if the last questioner left the topic without handing it off--which is fine lol if you don't feel like staying here for hours, anyone else can take the position--first come first serve! But please everyone follow the rules above
