did you ever had a teacher teaching you anything who reminds you of hogwarts' teachers and staff through their behaviour, look, subject they teach?

in my school there is a teacher who really reminds me of snape, he's not a teacher actually he's a librarian, he's so evil and doesn't like any students and so strict and takes any oppurtunity to dock marks from students whenever he gets a chance, and he's always angry, and nobody likes him, not even teachers.
and he looks really evil, with black hair, short black beard and he's tall.

the thing that makes him exactly like snape is that nobody knows why the school is keeping him, he was charged for crimes of hitting students and docking marks for nothing but all the school managed to do was firing him for one week and then he came back to school to complete playing the role of our worst nightmare, well, i think i play harry in this case as i stand up to stop him whenever he is insulting me or my friends. all-in-all he's the school's greasy git!

huh.gif I'm not sure whether to laugh or feel sorry for you because that's hilarious and really sad at the same time! ph34r.gif

I do actually have a math teacher who is exactly like McGonagoll! The first times I met here I considered her a bit Snape-ish. Then I really fell into her personality and she is strict, but compassionate. She is a real person and she just pushes you to succeed. I apsolutely love her now! She will be strict with me, but it's for the best. She'll tell me off for doing something wrong and then 10 minuetes later we'll have a conversation about the weekend.

Ahh McGonagol and her would make quite an unstoppable pair! wink.gif
Greg&Forge
I actualy have a math teacher who's like Snape, hated her dry.gif It's not very nice to have a teacher that keeps bothering you. I wish I had a teacher like DD, that would be cool

Hehehe... oh my. When I was in seventh grade, my science teacher reminds me of Umbridge. (Yes, thank goodness those days are long gone tongue.gif ) She not only looked like a toad, but she was so condesending towards the students. And heaven forbid if you voice an opinion in her presence... much less if you were tardy... (excused or not you still got detention which usually meant cleaning the lab supplies- eek!)
Spencer Potter
Well my Science teacher is sort of like a Snape because he puts emphasis on every word he says and hes really serious as my Math teacher is a loser. I hate him, like Umbridge, the ol' prat.
vidhi radcliffe
hi.......
actually i really think that my biology teacher is the same s mcgonagll..she is terribly strict..stern face..and absolutely no favourism.... dry.gif
she respond and react to things same as you would expect mcgonagll yo...

I had a gym teacher like Madam Hooch. No nonsense ever with her. It was line up. Pick up your equipment! You hold like this, you swing like that! Blows her whistle and well, you better try to do it exactly as shown. If you ever deviated from her instructions or decided to play around, whoah boy, could she ever bark!
Seriouslysirius
I've got a science teacher who has a memory like Gilderoy Lockhart. Every time he says a word he has to pause thinking what to say next.
A teacher like Umbridge would be my Head Of Year. She drones about bullying and real life matters ( that's all very well and good and important) although she moans at us like theres no tommorow.
And a Maths teacher that makes you work to your death. I suppose that's like Mcgonagall.
The Silver Unspeakable
I once had an adivsor who rather reminded me of Umbridge--not her personality, but her appearance. She was rather plump and toady, and had that mousy hair color, and to top it all off, she even wore a pink cardigan!! haha! I couldn't believe it!
ender
Yup in my previous school my physics teacher was a lot like McGonagall... She was strict and at the same time understanging. She was also really well versed at her subject and very capable at teaching it, which i think is a quality that McGonagall posseses. And another thing in which my teacher was similar to McGonagall is that the subject she taught was physics, which i think is analogical to Transfiguration in the magical world (for me at least)...

And also my current history teacher is very much like Professor Binns...she has the same monotonous tone... and her subject is just as boring as History of Magic is ...
wicked_witch
my Franch teacher reminds me of McGonagal.

I have teacher who has the behavior like Trelawny.I think she kind of doesn't know what to do or doesn't know how to teach. She keeps on reading from our textbook never explaining what it actually means and gives us wrong notes. We go and check with other class and we see that she has given us completely rubbish. We are thinking of complaining to the Principal about her.Once she heard people calling her cockroach and she got so embarrased that she ran into the staff room and cried till all the teachers where so angry on us.
marire
My english teacher looks just like the Umbridge in film! Hers personality is also like Umbrigdes. She's always complaining us for something, and if she makes any mistake, gives as a wrong assigment, for example, it's always our fault. She never admits she's wrong, and starts shouting to us if we don't take the blame.
I do learn in her classes, but it's not very fun to be in there. I don't have any idea, how a person like her could have graduated as teacher.

I actually have a couple of teachers that both remind me of Lupin, my history and science teacher. They are both really cool guys, they're hard, but fair. And they actually care what your personal life is like and they'll try to get to know you. And that's what I love about them, they are both really amazing people and I think it's cool that I can tell them basically anything I need to. biggrin.gif
Wednesday_Adams
My 8th grade English teacher, me and my best friend agreed (well, he did have a crush on that teacher though) that he was definitely a Lupin. He just had thing... thing... about him that totally reminded me of Professor Lupin, plus he was a fan of Harry Potter, as well.

Him and I got along pretty well, and I was sort of a know-it-all in class and was (and still am) an avid reader so he lended me some books from his collection.

I'm in college and am majoring in criminology (my fianceé and I like to refer to it as DADA) and I have a professor who rather reminds me of Moody. He is a former Federal Investigator and is sort of eccentric. He is almost blatantly paranoid, but he has had so much direct experience and is privy to so much classified information I don't think it's necessarily unwarranted. He is affectionate with his students and a great teacher, but is intimidating none the less. Also, he has a vast collection of true stories that will drop your jaw which always makes class fun.
Constant vigilance! tongue.gif
Auror2009
Ok well I have a teacher this year who is new and he is almost exactly like Mad-eye moody he is very very strict in the class room and very very mean and teaching us stuff the district dosnt want us to learn but then again he is a harry potter fan and likes moody alot so he does try to be like him which is funny at time to watch but scary when he starts throwing stuff at you then I have a choir teacher who is like Lockhart he thinks highly of himself he is constantly smiling is always listening to himself talk and sing and it is just to funny.
little_aussie_witch92
Omg yes I did! In primary school we had a substitute teacher who looked EXACTLY like Umbridge! Even moreso than Emelda Staunton (who I personally don't think looks at all like her). She had the big wide downturned mouth, flabby skin and grey hair. She was also really grumpy and mean. I can't for the life of me remember her name though tongue.gif

I also had an English teacher in year 8 who my friend and I decided must be a werewolf. He was alot like Lupin in his teaching and his mannerisms, plus, every month he would miss lessons! Several in a row, without explanation! There can only be one reason, can't there? Werewolf!! We called him Moony alot tongue.gif
snapesgirlforlife
my techer Mrs. Bieri looks like Mcgonagall.....which is kinda reaky becaus eif you put a pic of them right next to eachother, my teacher looks like an untidey version of Mcgonagall. biggrin.gif
ChOco
lol, well I knew a teacher like snape...he was sarcastic...he hardly ever smiled...he favoured on students & picked on others...he loved critisizing other peoples' wotk...he always expected you to treat him formarly...he looked almost hollow & stuff...so yea...a bit of a resemblance there with snape...
DoubleD
I once had a history teacher who was pretty much like Professor Binns. He wore very boring clothes, his voice was boring and loud at the same time . His way of teaching was the same every lesson. He sat there and read some texts and we took notes or simply fell asleep. There was only one lesson when he was funny: he discovered three guys in the last bank playing cards and he was shouting at them for about ten minutes. Well, funny for us, not for the guys at whom he shouted. tongue.gif
The only thing unlike Binns is, that he is physically alive and not able to go through walls.
laugh.gif

happy-potter
Sounds pretty much like my present history teacher… Totally BINNS! She THINKS that history has to be boring and it really is with her. Four of us actually fell asleep once and she didn’t even notice. She is so boring and uses weird abbreviations as none of gets and has to ask every time. And I seriously think that she is over 70! We have never had a fun class with her!
Lil Cougar
Okay I've posted here before about my science teacher reminding me of Umbridge and stuff, the way she looks and acts...

But the other day in computer class my teacher was such a Trelawney...
We were supposed to go to some website and my computer was being really slow so I hit it softly and I was like "Come on LOAD!!" and my teacher grabbed my hand, and she has really big glasses like Trelawneys, and she said,
"We must not hit the computers, my dear, they are our friends, they help us with everyday life, if you are against technlogy and can not open your mind to use it leave."

And i started laughing, it reminded me so much Trelawney when she said that about open your mind or leave... But I am not against computers and I never been asked to leave a class before, I was just really frustrated because she kept giving me the death glare because my computer was the slowest one to load.
Horavlo
I've had some teacher who reminded me of Hogwarts Teachers.First,my Music teacher, she was exactly like Umbridge and we had to be very quiet because if we started making noise she didn't be able to stop making detentions.
My Maths teacher is also very similar to Snape (but bald! rolleyes.gif ); he has got the same nose, the same facial colour and He's always doing very difficult exams and sending us much homework for the weekend.
Finally,my English teacher is very similar to Mrs. Skeeter, because she wears the same clothes and she's loves the gossips.
Jamie_Potter
Well, the title says most of it, are your teachers the muggle versions of Hogwarts Professors? There is a teacher at my school who at random moments appears out of no where who has the EXACT same hair as Prof. Trelawney. I start snickering when I see her cos I can just hear her saying "The hustle and bustle of the rest of the school clouds the Inner Eye." I also have a teacher who is just like Lupin, it's not even funny. So tell me about your crazy teachers and how they're like the teachers at the greatest school ever!
Killian
This reminds me of something that happened at my school last year. I was sitting on a window/wall (it's a low window with like a big seat-like frame) with a few friends over lunch and we were talking about a few films, one was Harry Potter, just when we were saying about it's release, a teacher of ours was walking by and told us to get off it and we'd be in detention if on it again, and one of my friends said "there's a Snape there". He turned and was sorta laughing and said "I'm not that bad am I?" and walked off.

I was surprised he even knew what it was, but it was interesting lol.
GryffindorBabexhott
Wow.

Well. I have a science teacher that reminds me of Professor Flitwick. He is REALLY short that we think he is a leprechaun and that reminds me of Flitwick. Plus they always try to sound soo cheerful. My art teacher is soo Snape. If I ask for help she takes over my work. I actually once compared all my teachers to HP..it come with strange results!

<33
After the Burial
Well I am 22 and about to graduate with my degree, so I have had a fare number of teachers.

My professor (Laurie) is definitely Flitwick. She is always in a good mood (to the point of being scary).

My seventh grade science teacher was Hagrid. Usually jovial, but he had moments where he would snap into 'serious mode' when he realized you did something wrong.

My 12th grade English teacher was a Trelawney. She was a complete fraud who nobody respected (excpet the other crazies).
Cobra
My science teacher is sort of snape. He has students he picks on. I would too, they are so misbehaved cough treye cough and annoying. He is strict. But not that bad, and a good teacher.
my math teacher is also sort of a snape except can be funny and nice at time. But is snappy and strict too.
My last year english and math teacher is sort of a hagrid. He is huge and a tank/strong. Usually nice but sometimes can like kill (in a sense) certain students.
Jsgirl
One of my teachers Mr. Midana (sp?) is Snape like but doesn't show it. For instence he plays favorites and our school if they found out would probably fire him cause that's not allowed. Cause my school is strict. Anyway back to the point. And my teacher Mr. Smith is like McGonagall because he's strict but, even more so than McGonagall. Oh and Mr. Midana is also a very boring teacher. My friend Kanoe feel asleep during his class cause he's so boring. And Elijah shot balls of paper at him through a pen tube and he didn't notice it. LOL. laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif
But anyway he's extremely boring.
PrisonerOfAzkaban
i have a really mean and big nosed french teacher who reminds me of snape.
Jamie_Potter
Oh my goodness. Prof. Trelawney is our sub in Computer Programming! When the first bell rang, she shut the door, and everyone kept knocking on it cos it's locked. I opened it and she said, "Do you have a tardy slip?" to my two guy friends, and we looked at her and said, "that was the first bell." She gasped and said "OH! I had no idea!" It was hilarious, cos she even sounds like Trelawney.
GryffindorBabexhott
Wow. These seem like....interesting teachers! I just though of something...I have a Dumblediore at my school.

My math teavcher is really RANDOM and ODD at times. One day he td us a story when he puked on his girlfriend in high school, dumped his g/f and how his thanksgiving was ood. Hes a little mad just like Dumbledore!

But he also can be very kind...he is always good for help in the subject and wants us to do well. Well. I'll try to think of moreteachers to compare later..

<33333
snaperules
Well,my English teacher is sort of like MG.She is very strict and whenever you screw up,she speaks Spainish for some reson. wacko.gif I think she is curing at us,because none of us know Spainish cuse words.
My math teacher,Mr.Reid,is soo funny but he is like Snape because he picks on people.I am one of them.He picks on me by saying things about Nick wub.gif blush.gif ,the guy I love!!!O.K.he still picks on me because I just talked to him again.
workaholic_1231
I've actually had one teacher that reminded me immensly of Trelawny. She was a hippie (for lack of a better word) and a quite eccentric person. She facinated me with her konwledge, but she was quite flakey and tended to talk about things she didn't know. Sound familiar? tongue.gif Yeah same here.

Also I had/still have a teacher who is actually my Gifted teacher who reminds me of dear ol' Professor Snape. It has nothing at all to do with looks, but just the way he presents himself. He demands cooperation and attention, and no one argues. He's also somewhat mysterious in a way, because it's sometimes hard to understand how what you're saying is affecting him. I would consider being like Snape an compliment but I'm sure if I were to explain it to him he wouldn't agree. rolleyes.gif
prongslover
I've had a teacher who was exactly like DD. He even dressed like him in a way, and he was british, that's actually his nick-name. :] He's really nice and very smart. One of my favorite teachers.

I also had a teacher in first grade who resembles Professor Snape, but in the movies. The way Alan Rickman presents him isn't like my teacher, but he looks exactly like him!! It's scary, he has the long greasy hair and pale face and about six foot tall (like alan) and it's so weird!!! (if only he would wear black...)
Breanna_Justine_Potter
Oooh! This past year actually, I had a 8th grade math/ Algebra teacher who was like Lupin! She wants you to succeed, she makes the lessons fun, and makes sure you understand something! biggrin.gif

Then, to counter all that, last year, I had a science/ Integrated Physics and Chemistry teacher who is like Snape, she is horrible! mad.gif She would be like, instructions are on the board..begin! (sound like ol' Snape yet?) Then if you asked a question, she would make you feel dumb, and say "didn't I already explain this before?" Oh, she got attitude from me! happy.gif I would always be the one to tell her off, and get in trouble for it, but it was well worth it! Although, if I was a witch, I would use a good hex on her! tongue.gif

I also had a U.S. History teacher who was like McGonagall, she was strict, and showed no favoritism. smile.gif Also you can tell that she does it for our own good, and is really nice if you actually try, and do well in her class! Even if she did call us all crackheads...it was all tough love and playing around with us!
wink.gif

I once had a science teacher that reminded me a lot of professor snape. Not looks wise but, her personality. She was always in a really bad mood.
Ladie Lily Potter
I have a few:

Mrs. Bell (Mama Bell) - Professor McGonnagal.
They are both very strict but we love them both smile.gif.

Mrs. Beamer - Professor Snape.
They are both evil and we hate them both.

Mrs. Spencer - Professor Lupin.
She has taught me so much and convinced me on where I want to go in life - drama. And I love her.

Mr. Graham - Professor Slughorn.
They're both old. They like to pick favourites. But they're both nice.
deatheater13
I have a few.

I had a 6th grade science teacher who reminded me of Trelawney. When she "read" from our textbook, she would say the opposite thing, forgot to assign us homework then got mad when nobody did it, and even graded tests wrong! She even has a kind of mysterious voice. Honestly, there are a few people whose goal in life is to get her to reitre.

A few years ago I went to a string orchestra camp, and there were these two teachers that were total opposites. One, I swear, looked almost exactly like Mrs. Weasly, but her personality was like Snape. She had loads of favoritism, and she yelled a lot, even though we were just a bunch of ten year olds. Another teacher we had looked a lot like Snape, she had long black hair and a big, hooked nose (that's how I imagine Snape), but she had a personality that was more like Lupin, she was really nice but she could be strict, and she did her best to let us have fun.

There was this lady that was in charge of something in the district who came to one of our middle school orchestra concerts who looked a lot like Umbridge. she was really short, literally about four feet tall, really plump, and she had grayish black hair. she even wore a green tweed suit! My friends and I were going to ask her if she owned any pink cardigans but decided it wasn't worth getting suspended.
connie182
tongue.gif they're bouth...the math professor is like a convination of flitwick and dumbledore...you know...tall, old jejeje, with sense of humor, he let us talk finishing the lesson jejej make jokes and real cool

the fisic proffesor is like McGonagall (yei i sait right) he is very serius, he give a lot of homework and quits a lot of points

the english teacher is like umbridge...she is the only one with reason

the sports professor is always bussy ajaja

the spanish teacher is like unckle Bernon and Snape, she is very closed and unfair, never shows a little of compasion

the orientacion teacher is like Trelawey, Lockhart and Snape...she is a fake, she doesn't know anaything, and is a ugly woman, she always mad

the geography teacher is also like umbridge jejeje

Raiden2
I have a few teachers that remind of HP book teachers, but I think it's only like that because I'm so affected by the books
babydoll
I had a math teacher who is a mix of Umbridge and Snape. I also had a Spanish teacher who was like Trelawny (hah we got a kick out of her).
firebolt
Ha, this is going to be fun. My science teacher was like a strange combo of Hagrid, Lockhart, and Snape. He was totally earnest and you could tell that he was trying his best, but he was a really bad teacher. He picked on a couple troublemakers like Snape, except his "punishments" were actually rewards. He couldn't control the class at all, and gave us extremely stupid assignments.
Kelso2010
My Science teacher reminds me of McGonagall in a way. She is very strict and can silence the whole room with one glare...... but sometimes when we say something funny she'll reveil a hint of a grin..... and when something is unfair or stupid....(like half the stuff our princible says and does) she gets mad and rants... kinda like McGonagall did when Umbridge was teaching. My old English teacher kinda reminded me a bit of Lupin... she always knew the best books to read and she was extremely kind... and I learned a lot from her... she's my favorite teacher!!!
I also have an art teacher that reminds me of Trewlney and Dumbledore mixed!! She can be over the top and a bit mad..... she has these weird sayings!!! I could so see her start predicting peoples deaths and finding omens in tea leaves.... she already looks for shapes on the tiles of her classroom ceiling!!!

-Kelsea
x_kc_x
my old maths teacher reminded me of professor slughorn. he's rather rotund and you could get away with anything during his classes if you were a little favourite or your joked with him. he was also older than our other teachers. so basically his looks and personality reminded me of slughorn.
Lauren0891
There's a biology teacher at my school who is just like Umbridge... evil!! She is such an evil cow and she picks on people for no reason and she thinks something is a lie if she doen't agree with it. mad2.gif

I'm so glad she doesn't teach me anymore tongue.gif
taterchris
My seventh grade teacher totally reminds me of Professor McGonagall! laugh.gif She's old, and very, very, VERY strict. Uh oh, I hope she's not reading this... shutup.gif
pureblood_narcissa
Mrs Tizack was a complete Professor Umbridge
and Miss Nixon WAS Professor McGonagall.

Would love to have had a Snape though sad.gif

There was a teacher at my elementary school who was really tall and large, and she wore a huge coat on windy days - she looked like Hagrid (minus the beard, of course). rolleyes.gif
