Who do you think would win out of the hmmm.. 2 of 'em. I'd think mm. Snape or Harry pretty good choice what do you ladies and gents think?

He's older, smarter, and has a lot more expierence. It makes perfect sense. Harry is good, but not that good.

i believe he is much more capable than harry.. for a gazillion factors..
he even deceived dumbledore (if he really is bad, otherwise.. he is deceiving voldemort that's pretty smart..) harry is just.. too young.. too hot-headed.. too stubborn.. too.. harry.. but obviously.. he'll win.. cause his the hero.. the chosen one!

Neck and neck! Well, I'd say Snape right now. I mean, Harry had his adrenaline pumping, fear bursting out of every square inch of his body, and here was Snape just dusting him off his shoulder. Snape is a powerful man, who knows his full potential? I'll say Snape because Harry needs more training before he stands any chance at anything.

im not sure. snape might have more experiance but harrys got away from voldemort five times so far. i want harry to win but snapes way stronger im going for harry

On there own, one-on-one, I give the edge to Snape at this point in time. But who knows how powerful Harry will become in the last book.

I think that though Snape is no doubt very powerful that Harry would win with his luck and his ability too of course . I think more of luck or hatred for Snape though .

I think Snape because he is smarter, older, knows more spells and dark arts, and the biggest thing is that he is mostly cold and without emotions (mostly). On the day Harry will face riddle, harry will be more powerful than snape, and any other living wizard. But I was voting like Harry just finished 6th year.

Definately Snape, he is a better wizard in my opinion than Harry is and I think that he is possibly the strongest DE. The way in which he deflected Harry jinxes at the end proved what a good wizrd he is. He is also much smarter and older and after all he did decieve Dumbledore

sorry Harry id have to go with snape because in HBP Snape easily deflected all of Harrys spells and when he threw some he hit harry with ease.Also snape is older and more experienced than Harry is so it would be a short fight.

I love harry and hate to choose anyone over him but, to be honest i think that Snape would win. He is the better wizard. Hes older and he is great at DADA. Snape would win without a doubt.

I like Harry and all he is so cool and brave but as we saw in HBP snape would easily defeat harry. he had blocked all harrys spell with ease and could have killed him at that point but didnt.Maybe if Harry was older but for now Harry would easily be defeated.

Like that scene in HBP at the end Harry was getting his **** kicked than Budbeak comes in and shows Snape how to work it and Harry got out although he didnt exactly win.

I don't think that Harry could win because for all that he is "the chosen one" I don't believe that he knows more about magic than Snape, afterall, who was reading whose Potions book here? I think that Snape is brilliant, he could have made up any number of spells that are dark. What does Harry know? Sure, he may know a few things about DADA, but not the extent that Snape does...it is Snape's favorite subject . Harry is not experienced as Snape, who is one of Voldie's closest people. Snape is too well imersed in the dark magic for Harry to be able to stop him, Harry is only 16.. while Snape iis like in his 30's.

Well, Snape is older and has more experience. You must gain some knowledge being a deatheater, spy, and teacher! And he was very talented as a teenager, too, based on all of the spells he created. Harry is a powerful wizard, too, but he's only seventeen...Maybe if he and Snape were the same age, Harry might win. However, they aren't, and Snape is much more experienced. It just isn't a fair fight, if you know what I mean. Which brings me around to...Harry is going to have one heck of a problem, trying to kill Voldemort!

I guess I'd choose Snape. I mean he is older and was able to block Harry's spells with great ease. But if they had an actual battle together Harry just might win. either out of luck or with help. Harry does have a tendancy to escape things and end up defeating people. So who knows. But as far as who I wat to win it'd be Harry, even though I am a "Snape is a friend" supporter.

if it is just a regular fight and nothing ridiculous happens then snape would have the fight hands down

but it is harry potter he is fighting and i dont think that snape would be able to take him because something would happen where a phoenix would come down and take snapes wand away and just leave harry there to win or something else ridiculous like that

It is certain that Snape is better than Harry in many aspects. However, there is something that Snapes lacks: love. And it will be love that will make all the difference...

i definitely think snape because he is a lot more powerful than i think we ever thought. JK has been very careful to show that he is a very good potion brewer but never showed anything else before Half-Blood Prince unless you count the time in COS in the duel when he uses expelliarmus. in HBP at the end he is deflecting the spells harry sends at him like they are nothing and i think thats going to start him being either a powerful enemy to harry or a powerful ally to him, which i think he is.

Even though snape is older and has more expierience i still think Harry would win just out of sheer luck. Snape would probably be about to kill him and Harry, in some miraculous way, comes back and is stronger and overcomes snape. also, Harry knows some of snapes weak spots and can just hit him where it hurts.

Snape, he is older and a much more powerful wizard as we see at the end of HBP. He deflects everyone of Harry's spells and knows what hes about to do before he does it. If Harry can learn to control his emotions then he will stand a better chance.

Snape had proven to be a decently powerful wizard, regardless of where his true loyalties lie. should harry and snape shoose to suke it out, my money would for sure be on snape. .harry always seems to have assistance, though, and so he usually wins. but if it was just the two of them, then snapw for sure.

As it's been said, Snape is older, more experienced. Harry has defended himself against other worthy opponents before, but I really don't see him reaching anywhere near Snape's standards.
Keep in mind how Harry couldn't even get a jinx in during him and Snape's little fight at the end of HBP.

I think that snape is the better Wizard. Harry is a good wizard, but snape is a good adult wizard. Which means more expeirence and studying in the magical arts.

I chose Snape too. He's an adult, and he's more experienced. His coldness could help him, just like emotions help Harry... But I suppose it's hard to tell...

I can't decide really because they are pretty even. Harry being the one who defeats Voldy and snape the one who has to pretend to be bad and then help harry. Snape also needed enough courage to kill dumbledore on his command.

At first I thought Snape. But Harry did win of Voldemort, so he must be able to win from Severus Snape... But Snape is more experienced. I don't know really. I think if Harry is really mad, he can do a lot, so than he can win.

Ok, If these two great wizards fought. This batter would be un-predictable. As these two would use most of there magic to kill another, but this battle would still be un-predictable. As Snape is the Half-Blood Prince, and Harry has deffeated Voldemort a couple of times, This battle would be untold and un-predictable. I do not know would would win. But in my perpective i think that maybe Snape would win, as he is a Potion's Master and a Teacher. But thats just me.

Snape ofcourse. He is very experienced, skilled and talented. More than Harry even though he is the hero of the series. He is smarted and he knows his stuff better than anyone, he even invented his own spells. He protected his mind from Voldemort even and can be ruthless when required. I dont undermine Harry's abilities but I just think Snape is more suited than Harry.

Harry's victories were always lucky and narrow ones....Surely, Snape is really very talented, no deny to it. And has one advantage - unlike Voldemort, he knows, what love is and Harry's escapes were always based od this.
He also knows Harry's weak points, but viceversa it's not true. I just don't see a way for Harry to win in normal circumstances.

Between Harry and Snape, Snape would most likely win. Sure Harry is gotten out of tight situations before, but Snape still has years of experience over him. Snape would know a ton of more spells and he would probably be stronger and faster when casting them. I don't think Harry would be able to put up much of a fight.

Plus he made his own, sooo he could always use those that Harry doesn't know about. I don't want to say he's smarter, but he definitely is older and wiser, so could make better decisions or think better/faster than Harry.
Hmm, good point. I don't know if he'd be able to concentrate on the battle and use Legilimency at the same time, though.
