First i thought it was lIly, then i thought it was Tonks but i realised I had a picture of Tonks and it doesnt look anything like her so i guessed it had to be bellatrix

I pondered exactly the same thing! My friends never saw it but I did.
At first I thought that it was meant to be Lily, but the woman who played her in the first 3 films didnt agree to do the 4th even if it was a quick shot.
I'm glad I'm not crazy for spotting it!
However, looking at it it is Helena Bonham Carter!
You dont suppose thats a slight hint that Voldermort might have a soft spot for Bellatrix do you???

I always found her pretty but with some major dark layers a la all her work with Tim Burton. And the woman usually plays the crazy people. LOL. And she plays them WELL so PERFECT Bellatrix, imo.

i dont know i dont think thats Helena Bonham Carter. When i saw it i thought maybe lily so i checked with the casting and found Susie Shinner who will play young Lily Evans in OotP

That's Helena's strong jaw-line for sure! Not Susie Shinners. I'm just amazed cos it's footage from the GoF.
Has anyone checked back on the GoF to see if its there? Or have they included the image on the OotP trailer for some reason? I think that's more likely cos they hadnt casted either Susie or Helena by then

Ok. I've just looked a couple of times and the image of that woman is definatly not in that scene from GoF! So...have they added it in as an extra just for the trailer? Or is it from a dream Harry has in the OotP?

That actress looks too old to play tonks anyway! I always thought that Bellatrix would have blonde hair like Narsicca?! wouldnt you? Plus in book six JK says she quite plump to put it nicely

She lookes like something out of the daily prophet. She seemed so Black and white.
My cousions where here when the teaser trailer came out and we went slowly through it and straight away concluded it as Bellatrix.

Oh, it's totally without a doubt Helena Bonham Carter. I'm so excited she's playing Bellatrix, she's so perfect for the part. Right down to the heavily lidded eyes.

I'm also pretty sure that that's Bellatrix. I not too sure though. The light makes it difficult to tell. Maybe it's a scene from the final battle. This is from the teaser right? Great, now that's gonna drive me crazy until I figure it out!!!

i think its so definite she is bellatrix...i think this scene was from the ministry battle when sirius' curse just missed her(i know it has been shot as i saw lucius holding prophecy in a sneak peek!)

ya i agree i think its helen bonham carter but i had trouble coming to this conclustion becuase it does look like tonks but o well lol i wonder if we will ever get a clip with tonks in it? o well another thread maybe? but ya she is like realy good for bellatrix. i wonder what her wand will look like because usually people's wands reflect themselves so i wonder what her's looks like. but ya its bellatrix lol

It is without a doubt Helena Bonham Carter playing Bellatrix Lestrange because in a clip of OotP it showed you her dressed like that in an interview, so there you go it isn't tonks .

i do believe that is Mrs. Bellatrix...wow they did an amazing job on her..."she maintained the hint of good looks but azkaban had taken her beauty" perfect...omg they did a good job. it is almost just as i pictured her in my head..perhaps a little more butch though...hehehe...not so feminine looking, with perhaps a few scars?

I have to agree with most people and say that it is defintley Helena Bonham Carter, who plays Bellatrix Lestrange. I saw this scene from the OOTP trailer.I think it must be from the ministrey of magic at the end.
I think she will be great in this role. I was surprised to see that she wasn't the original actress for this part, the role was orginally going to be played by Helen McCrory. Now, I don't know who this actress is and how she would have delivered the part but I really think Helena is perfect. She is used to playing weird and wonderful roles written by Tim Burton.
Can't wait to see the movie.

it is most definatly Bellatrix Lestrange played by Helena Bonham Carter. if you look closely enough, you see the hair and facial expressions match the ones of Bellatrix (Helena Bonham Carter). I know some people said it was young james or tonks, but it is definatly a girl and ive seen a clip with tonks in it and in all the parts, she has bright pink hair, so it can't be tonks.

hi, just thought i might add my thoughts - yeah, i hav no idea who this actress is, BUT....i was at the movies yesterday, and |to my delight!| came up the hp ootp trailer! i was so excited, just another reminder how close! but it certainly WAS short and sweet. verry sweet. but as soon as i saw 'that lady' the first though that popped into my head was... BELLATRIX L. im 99 percent sure of it.

I'm 100 percent sure it's Bellatrix. She's been seen in the HBO sneak preview for the movie, and that's most certainly her. She doesn't look how I pictured her. I pictured her a little bit older, but I think it was a better choice. I also heard that she was very dramatic when playing the part. I hope this is true because I want alot of emphasis(not quite sure how to spell that exactly) in the movie.

Yeah, it's defintely helan Bonham Carter, who plays Bellatrix. I haven't seen that image before, but it's from the trailer, right? And we saw Bellatrix jinxing/cursing someone then the light flashed and we have Bellatrix in the light. I can't be anyone else.

That's definitely Bellatrix. She's a great pick, almost exactly as i imagined her, but her hair is much curlier. In the trailer she looks like the Frankenstein's Bride, but i guess Azkaban will do that to you.

Sirius = raggedy

Bellatrix = like a bush run over by a flying 18-wheeler (Mr Weasly's next experiment, lol)

it has to be bellatrix lestrange, i think its very obvious, but i can sort of see why it would be hard to tell. wiil other imagages like that be posted or was it just that one?

It says in the books that Bellatrix and her sister Narsicca are like night and day. I think the wording was something like...Bellatrix was as dark as her sister is fair....or something like that.

The pic is definately of Bella and I agree that the casting was excellent, she will be a great Bella. The other actress. Helen McCrory seems like she may have had a good look too but I definately think Helena Bonham Carter is way scarier looking. You can check out her look by going to her page in the IMBd website.

It's definately Helene Bonham Carter playing Bellatrix Lestrange. She looks just like shes described in the books (pale with dark hair). Yep...definately her after the other pictures I've seen. I think she'll play Bellatrix well.

As a truly obsessed movie fan, I can state without a doubt that that is Helena Bonham Carter, a fabulous actress and a perfect Bellatrix! Is she still dating Tim Burton? She will be great in OOP!

its bellatrix lestrange. i know this 100% because i watched a bunch of videos on youtube with interviews with the OotP characters and she was on of them.

i just want to say that i am shocked this thread even happened... with the quality of research i generally find on this site, to see things such as "that is definatly not helena"... just a shock... come on team... she's the hottest half corpse bride ever.

That's definately Bellatrix Lestrange ... Helena Bonham Carter. She was great in the movie by the way! I thought that she was one of the people who made it just that much better! I loved her so much!! Haha. Her look was exactly everything I saw before I even knew she would be playing Bellatrix. She's great ... fantastic and the best choice they've made in that series since film one!
