Yes I was very happy that Chip and Kim won (really at that point I just didnt want Colin and Christi to win) Although I was sad that the Cousins didnt get as far. I dont watch Big Brother Okay, we are getting off topic.
So Survivor should be interesting this year, I'll try harder to watch it this season but I will probably misss a lot of episodes!

I don't really care for Survivor. I've never even watched it. I've seen parts of it but I've never seen a whole show. I just can't get into it.

I LOATHE that show. I watched the very first episode when it was the first season and I didn't watch anymore. Reality tv gets on my nerves. I watch tv to get away from reality, not watch it. And reality tv isn't even reality anymore. It's all set up now. The tv people pick certain people to be on it so that it'll cause confrontation. Like The Real World. (they put a gay guy in the house with a guy who's a BIG homo-phob, etc.) I don't like reality tv.

Dolly leaving was a big shock. The only reason she got in was because she had personality. But I think her crying all the time got on the other members nerves.
I watch Survivor purely out of habit.

I can't wait for the next Survivor!

*squeels* Anyways, my favorite one was the second one- Outback, and (I don't know what season it was) but, the Allstars one, that one was great! Especially when Rob proposed to Amber, aww so cute.. you have to admit, they played the game well, and they played the players.. it's not like you will be friends with any of them later in life anyways...

I must admit, i was a huge fan of the first three survivors, but after that I think they have gone downhill.
People are deserted, must survive by eating bugs and doing simular contests to win immunity over and over again. It was good, but now it has just gotten repetitive

They need bigger twists in the game. I'm sorry but promoting all season long during All-Stars only to have fans vote a million dollar winner was completely lame! I want to "in game" twists. Not junk like that.

I am excited about the new season of Survivor, Guatamala, for mean reasons.
Firstly, I am already a fan of the show and I loved Palau. Secondly, the temple displayed on the first epsode was awesome and that one guy being an ex-NFL quarterback and not telling any one and changing his name was an awesome tsiwt. As was bringing back two people from last season.

I just started watching Survivor last season (Palau) and I got hooked on it! I watch Survivcr and The Amazing Race with my ten year old son. We have really enjoyed that OLN (cable's Outdoor Life Network) and GSN (cable's Game Show Network) have been showing Survivor and TAR from the first seasons. We didn't really follow either show til last year, so we are still able to be surprised be the outcomes. Of course we knew Rich Hatch was season one winner and I thought I remembered Tina's name as the second season winner, but after that , we are totally in the dark up to All-Stars (Rob/Amber). The Amazing Race is up to the season with that jerk Jonathan who was very verbally and emotionally abusive to his wife. I recall hearing about him at the time, but didn't watch the Race then. WOW, he is quite a piece of work! Now that I am watching all these re-run seasons, I really wonder about these people. Some of them are still around on other reality shows or other things in entertainment. Colby Donelson fron Survivor Outback has a part in the movie "Red-Eye" that just came out recently. I was not surprised about Steph and Bobby-Jon being added to the Guatamala cast, thanks to TV Guide online, and I hope they can do better this time around. This looks like an extremely difficult season. I am looking forward to it. Can't wait for the Family version of The Amazing Race to start next week!!!

This season is going kind of slow. What is up with all the boys on the show being such babies. All they do is complain about being hot or not being able to sleep. I sure wouldn't want to be living in the conditions that they are, but I didn't sign up for the show.
I just hope that as the season goes on it will get more interesting. There needs to be a big twist.

Ok, since this thread hasn't been written in for several
years, I think I'll revive it, starting with:
Survivor: Fiji!!
Exile Island
So they've got Exile Island again this year, except this time, it's filled with poisionous water snakes. And there are two Hidden Immunity Idols (HII), now. But the first clue says that they are not on Exile Islnad, but back at their camps!!!
So when they got to the camp on the first day, they made this really nice comfortable camp, complete with a couch, hammock, wooden shelter built with nails (and raised about six inches off of the ground), paint, bowls, cooking gear, and all sorts of other stuff. Then Sylvia gets selected to divide the group into two tribes. The tribe who won the next challenge would get to live on that beach they just built; the other tribe would be sen to an empty beach. Moto won that challenge, and Ravu was sent away......... Now it gets harder and harder for Ravu to actually win a challenge, because they don't even have fire to boil water in. Knowing Survivor, I would have expected them to make a twist that included a challenge for the Moto beach (the nice one). If Ravu won, they would switch camps with Moto, and if Moto won, they would further disconvenient Ravu. Unless the makers of Survivor wanted something to happen like it did during Palau (I think that's the season, I can't remember which is which), where Stephanie was the last member of her tribe before they made the merge...
Last season, I made a prediction that there would be three people in the finals, back when they started the jury.
Back at the other Survivor thread. I noticed that there was an odd mumber of people left in the game when the jury was created, so I found a bunch of effects and causes of this happening, and having three people in the finals was the best choice, and I was right! So my prediction for this season will be that there will be some sort of challenge in the near future which
could boost Ravu up somehow if they win it.
And what about Ravu making their own fire!?! Very few tribes have done that; most need to use flint from challenges. I can personally testify that making a fire from nothing is
very difficult (and if you don't have good conditions, it's even hard
with flint...). But do you remember last season when there was a tie vote between two girls, so to break it they had a fire building challenge; the first person to burn through their string would win. They were given flint, coconut husks, and a lot of other fire making stuff, yet they couldn't even make a spark. So they were eventually given a box of matches each. Yet one person ran through their entire box, and the other was down to her last two matches before she got her fire going. That's totaling one and a half hours of not even a single flame with both flint
and matches.
I still think Anthony could easily have swallowed his last bit in the food challenge; he would have saved his tribe from Tribial Council, and gotten them out of their rut. That would have been a huge turnaround for Ravu. But alas, Anthony claimed that he didn't have enough water to swallow, and they lost. But if you didn't notice, nobody else had any water...

Oh, Survivor's really good! I haven't watched the last two seasons much, but I never miss the finales. This season I haven't watched much either, but I watched last weeks show where Edgardo got voted out. That was the best show ever with the confusion and lying and everyone changing their votes from one person to the other. Dreams (that's his name right?) is such a two-timing player. I could never figure out what side he was one, but now we know. He so confusing, and now he has some explaining to do. I don't know how he's going to lie himself out of it. Anyways, that was just the one episode I have really watched this season and I already have favorites. I'm rooting for Yao-man and Casandra. Oh, I can't spell.

I was so mad Edgardo got voted out. That was so lame. It was a good episode otherwise.
I want to punch Dreamz in the nose.

He just makes me so frustrated. Bah. What an idiot. Stacy is stupid too. I don't have a problem with Cassandra, I just don't find her real likeable. Earl is cool. I like Earl. I hope Alex steals Yao-man's immunity idol. Haha! I would laugh and laugh.... I like Yao, no doubt, but I was mad they voted out Edgardo. So...whatever Alex has to do is good by me. Boo is sort of stupid too. I don't know if I covered it all but oh well.

Oh yeah, I forgot about that.....Alex trying to steal Yoa-man's immunity idol. Can he do that? I don't really know the rules for it. I guess it would be funny, but I would feel sorry for him too. I didn't really watch the season much to feel bad about Edgardo leaving. I was hoping that Mookie would though instead, but ah well. And Dreamz, lol yah he's a complicated person.

Wasn't it funny how Earl got all the votes for winner! I CAN'T believe Dreamz would back out on his word like that to Yao. I would never forgive myself. He's all like I'm gonna do the right thing for my son and blah blah blah. He didn't even explain himself right at the reunion when Jeff asked if he had always known that he wouldn't give Yao Man the car. What a snake. I don't like Cassandra either! She doesn't even work or TRY in the challenges! I could do better (well at least try harder) in the challenges than she did! Anyway I'm glad Earl won. Although I love Yao.
Insomnia
Jun 20 2007, 03:36 AM
I completely agree. Yao should have won survivor. If Dreamz had kept his promise, he would have. What could have possibly possessed Dreamz to think he had a fraction of a chance at winning after going back on his word and then not even owning up to it? It doesn't make since. At least Earl told the truth when he was questioned about why he voted Yao out. He admitted that he knew he had no chance of winning with Yao by his side in the final three. Who can blame him. At least Yao didn't give him a car!
I wish they had done some kind of America Votes thing for our favorite survivor that season to give us a chance to vote for Yao winning a car or money or something.
If Dreamz was any kind of man and really wanted to teach his kids honor, he should have given the keys back to Yao when he refused to give him the Immunity Idol.
Oh well, I'm glad Earl one. He was definitely the best of the three!

I like Survivor! My dad is crazy about it, I think... He constantly yells for me to come down stairs and watch it when I have homework or something like that... (don't get me wrong, I'm a serious procrastinator but I can't procrastinate for too long..

) Yeah Dreamz was stupid to go back on his word, my dad kept going on and on about it, I got annoyed after a while... but seriously everyone that has ever gotten a car on that show has never won.... it's like they won something so they don't get the million... oh well, I just notcied that from all the other seasons...

Apr 18 2008, 03:57 AM
Wow. I didn't realize no one has been posting in here since the new season of Survivor has been out-Micronesia. It's been an interesting season so far.
The biggest shocker yet happened tonight. Poor Ozzy got blind sided by a couple of members in his alliance-Cirre and Parvarti. Ozzy should have played the idol!!! What was he thinking? Reminded me of when James, in his last season, had two idols with only three chances left to use them and still didn't play the darn thing at tribal council. He ended up going home for no reason. He certainly didn't have anything to loose by playing the idol. Having personally gone through that, he should have made sure Ozzy played the idol to be safe than sorry. But still, if his alliance had been faithful, Ozzy wouldn't have needed to worry or use it. Poor guy. I was really rooting for him. Guess James will receive all my rooting now.
I know one thing, I hope that neither Jason, Parvarti, or Cirre make it to the finals!!!
Just the Droobles
Apr 25 2008, 12:57 AM
OMG I've decided that there are no brains left on the island.
Ozzy. That poor child. If he would have just played the freaking idol!!! Gah, so frustrating. I guess if he really thought he was safe, being the biggest threat in every aspect, then he deserved to go home.
Jason. That poor child. That's all I have to say on that one. I mean....geez. I just have no faith left in these people. Maybe except Cirie. But even if she had half a brain she would double-cross Parvati and pull in James, Amanda, and Erik in with her.
Frustrating!
Insomnia
Apr 25 2008, 02:32 AM
Well, at least Ozzy's excuse was his faith in his alliance. He thought they were strong, tight, and all together as one. He went out only because a couple of people he trusted were unfaithful. He was an honest fool.
Now Jason on the other hand, he was just an outright fool! I mean, I'm glad he's gone. Served him right (couldn't stand his cocky attitude). But he should have KNOWN that the same darn thing could/would happen to him. Even if he had "faith" in his "alliance", he should have played it just to keep the heat off of himself. He should have known having the Idol would come back to bite him at some point. Sheesh. Yep, no brains in that one.
As for Cirie, I really don't like her this season. I thought she was okay her first time around, but she just rubs me the wrong way this time. But you're right, if she had half a brain, she'd try to pull those people together and gang up on Parvarti and those other two girls. Then again, she probably feels she has a better chance making it to the end having all girls in the final 4 or 5 than having a guy or two in the mix.

May 2 2008, 11:02 PM
I hated it when Ozzy was eliminated. I knew Parv was going to backstab him but for some reason I just didn't think Cirie would...yet. Immediately after the votes were revealed I knew that Cirie had to have been the other person to betray Ozzy.
When Jason left, hahaha, that was just too funny. I couldn't believe that he would actually trust those people. But I can't blame him, he had to have someone to put his faith in. What I hated about that episode was that James didn't do any strategic talking. If Jason had decided to play the idol on a mere whim, James would have been the one to go. I noticed that he isn't that much of a stretegic player, he just plays the game and sticks to the people who he has given his loyalty to.
Yesterday's Survivor was really good. Amanda playing the idol and blindsiding everyone is a moment I will never forget. They were all convinced that she didn't have it, except for Parv who was told, and Alexis ended up leaving. Yes! But it's sad that James had to leave as well because of his injury. This is the second person to have to leave this season due to an infection.
Insomnia
May 2 2008, 11:54 PM
Oh yes! Last night's episode just ranked right up there as one of my favorite! The look on Natalie's, Eric's, and Alexis' faces were priceless when Amanda pulled out the idol. The jury seemed quite thrilled, too.
James' leaving was very depressing. I felt so bad for him. What confuses me, though, was it sounded like Jeff said he made the third person to leave due to something other than being voted out. I remember James and Jonathan, but who was the other person? I just can't seem to recall that.
Now we'll just have to see what Cirie decides to do at the next elimination. Her vote will decide if a fan or a favorite will leave the game. I hope she aligns with Amanda and Parv, but she's such a wild card, there's just no telling. If she doesn't align with them, I can't see how the jury, consisting of mainly favorites, would want to give her the money in the end (if she makes it that far). She has a better chance sticking with the fav's. But that's just my opinion.
Just the Droobles
May 3 2008, 06:12 AM
I don't really like Amanda this season. She seems more whiny and babyish. But I did think it was spectacular when she played that idol!! I really wish they would have voted out Natalie though. She so....ugh. I'm tired of watching her.
Poor James! I'm so upset he had to leave.

It was really strange seeing him walking in with that IV bag though. I think the third person Jeff may have been referring to was Johnny Fairplay. He requested to leave I do believe, because his wife was 8 months pregnant.
Cirie is kind of out in the cold now. Parvati has flip-flopped so much that she kind of left Cirie out in the cold. Course, Cirie could have controlled the whole thing... don't know why they all listened to Parvati anyway. It'll be interesting to see how this all plays out though. The only person I would want to win at this point is Eric. Haha, I love that kid. I lvoed what he said about Jeff when his brother came in. "It's Jeff! He's just standing there!" (or...something like that...)
nevillesgirl
May 3 2008, 06:19 PM
Amanda is brilliant!
James was so cocky that I was not sorry to see him leave.
Cerri...I like her. Everyone counted her out as some spoiled little indoor girli but what I like about her is she is like a spider. She lays in wait for just the right moment...she keeps her mouth shut until just the right time and then she masterminds these incredible backstabbing twists that always seem to benefit her. I mean she's not the most athletic or helpful around camp and stuff but she seems to fly under the rader and let the front runners fight it out and then all of a sudden, she's there and she hasn't really offended many people so she is a huge threat.
Parvati is wishy washy and shouldn't be trusted. Period. I think I would like to see her go but I think Cerri would have a better chance of winning if Parvati were with her.

What in the World was ERIK thinking?!? He really is the dumbest survivor ever! And I thought that he had more sense than that. I thought that even though their deals were tempting that he would never put himself in such danger. I seriously wanted to smack him in the head when he said he was gonna give it to Natalie. I mean, did he not see the jury. They were laughing at him! They all knew what was gonna happen. Ahhh, this is just so ridiculous and I was rooting for him to win too. *sigh* I guess now I would rather have Amanda or Cirie win. It will be interesting to see what happens this sunday. Urgh Erik! James is right, you have taken his crown.

Dumb de dumb dumb duuuuuumb! *singsong*
Okay so Erik's supposed to be this great fan right? I mean he won the reward challenge with he survivor knowledge and then he does the most insane thing. You never ever give give your immunity away...ever. He was in prime position. All he had to do was keep winning the immunity challenges and he would have been in the final. He may have lost in the end due to all the lies he told but at least he didn't lose due to a lack of intelligence. If Erik was really into the game he would have recognized what happened to Ozzy was going to happen to him if he gave up immunity. He put too much reliance upon others.
Cerri is awesome. All the other girls need to worry just a bit at her mind process. I mean she masterminded that entire plot...down to the arguement at tribal counsel. They need to be concerned that not one of them is safe. I mean one of them have to go before they do the finale. I wonder who would be best to go to the final with Cerri because I think she deserves to be there.

OH MY GOSH! I can't believe Erik, either. He should have KNOWN with the way this season has been going, especially the last several tribal councils. People have been getting blind-sided left and right. He should have seen this coming! Poor guy. He really did seem like such a sweet guy, overlooking the flip-flopping/lies lately.
When Erik gave up his necklace, my husband and I both said that Erik just beat out James as the dumbest survivor/survivor play ever. It was hilarious when James then said, after the vote, that his reign was over. HA HA!
I really think this has been the most ruthless survivor season so far.

Well, this season of Survivor is over. Parvarti won out over Amanda. I was shocked about that. I thought for sure Amanda would win. Maybe if Amanda had taken Cirie instead, she would have won. But then again, Cirie is such a good talker and Amanda just kept sticking her foot in her mouth when she was asked questions with Parv. Oh well.
But Ozzy got his word in! My jaw dropped wide when he told Amanda, in front of everyone at the council meeting, that he thought he was falling in love with her! So sweet! And they are still dating now. I hope they've found true happiness out of this and have a wonderful life together. I think they are both really great, sweet people.
Next stop for Survivor... Africa! Gabon if I remember correctly. They made it look really dangerous. I can't wait already!

I was rooting for Amanda to win and was very disappointed when Parv got the milllions. She played a good game but I still didn't think that she deserved it. The questioning was interesting. What in the world was Natalie talking about? Was she in a way trying to ask Parv if she was good in bed and hint towards herself not being straight. She threw me off completely when she mentioned the word bedroom. Oh well, the girl is crazy.
But Ozzy, aww, he said the sweetest thing. Every year there is at least one jury member who is bitter and explodes on the final two for what they did to him. And I thought for sure that it would be Ozzy since he was super mad at Parv's betrayal, but instead what he said was very heartfelt. I knew that he meant it form the bottom of his heart when he said that he felt that he and Parv were friends and that she had discarded their friendship so easily. He almost made me cry, and then when he said that he was falling in love with Amanda. Wow, that was just the most amazing thing that a guy could ever admit.
I knew that Nat, Alexis and Jason were probably going to vote for Parv but I thought that Cirie and Eliza would have sided with James, Ozzy, and Erik and vote for Amanda. I guess Cirie was still bitter that Amanda didn't take her to the end and that she was questioned about why she felt like she was on the bottom of the alliance, and Eliza, pshh, I don't ever know what's going on in her head. If she didn't like Parv personally then she should have been like Alexis and Nat and make her decision a personal one and vote for her favorite and tie the votes. I wonder how they would have broken it though...
Well, this season of suvivor was a really good one and full of blindsides like Jeff said, and I can't wait for the next one. Gabon, Africa? Hmm, sounds interesting.

I know! Her question was completely confusing. I had to laugh when James made the comment that he was confused. But when Jeff mentioned that there was a couple we didn't know about, part of me wondered if it would end up being Nat and Parv after the show was over. I mean, Nat wanting to date Parv, if she was interested, was the only thing I could think of as to why she would even bring up the bedroom question.
Huh. Maybe Amanda should have kept Natalie for the final two. I can't see the jury giving Natalie the money. I think a good bit of them thought she was crazy, or maybe the questioning stage would have brought her crazy side out sealing the win for Amanda. Oh well.

Well, the new Survivor is out-Gambon. I don't know about anyone else, but I'm not sure I'd want to do this particular episode. It seems way to hot with not enough water. At least water you'd want to swim in. Most previous episodes took place in paradise places with beautiful beaches and water. That's the show I'd like to do.
Anyway, Gambon is proving to be interesting right off the bat. I can't believe medic had to be called in on the first night. That must be a record.
But, it's too early for me to have picked a favorite yet. I do know I want that guy that needed stitches to get voted off. He bothers me for some reason. Guess it's because he complains about everyone else but sits on his but instead of doing something.

You know what is so irritating? The fact that not one person wants to step up and be team leader. Everyone is so afraid of having a big target "X" on their backside that the team is struggling to be unified. The guy with the stitches...eww. He has such a bad attitude and everyone was worried about the skinny girl? She was the fastest one up the hill and they still voted her off

I don't get it.
Dan is adorable. I hope that he finds his voice and picks the right alliance. I don't trust the guy he is allying himself with. Of course it is much too early as Laura said so I am just looking forward to tonight and watching what happens.

OMG I'm so excited about Survivor Gabon.

It's on tonight!!!
Anyhoooo....
I really like the the old dude. Bob. He knows what he's doing and he seems like a really nice guy. Too bad old people get voted off early. Speaking of old people, I also like the older woman, Gillian. I love her spirit.
If I'm thinking of the right person, I really like Charlie. (He's the gay one I believe...) I also love the guy he aligned himself with...Marcus? Maybe? Anyway, the guy he's aligned with is really sweet and I hope they go far.

That GC dude...stupid. Being leader and then stepping down? Way to be a quitter.
I also don't like that Randy guy. He's just too negative.
But I'm really excited about tonight!!!!
