Okay...I had a simple question. A couple days ago a few friends and I walked downtown after school to go and see Happy Feet. I mentioned that the Order of the Phoenix trailor was supposed to show before the movie. One of my friends said that whenever she watched the Harry Potter films she got a little depressed or unhappy because she said that the actors were so lucky to get what they are getting now, since they were first time actors when they made it to Harry Potter and now everybody knows their name. Anyways, I was just wondering if anybody felt the same way...or if you just think the actors are really lucky or are glad for them or what...(I would insert a shrugging smiley here but there isn't one)

In a way I would say I have a little envy with the HP actors. I mean they are all so successful in their careers and alot of them at very young ages. I only wish that my own kids could get lucky like the HP cast did and get casted for movie parts but alas, it will prob never be lol. Everyone would like to be sucessful like the cast, but some people just get lucky breaks while others do not. So I guess in a way there is a little envy, but in another way no not really, but I would like to have their money lol

Well if they started the HP movies again I could be in it, but Id be 1 year older than I should be. I mean If I ever wanted to do something like HP i'd do it, but if it was a series it just wouldnt be the same, sorry thats confusing.

I do envy them a bit but there just normal i suppose except for the fact they star in the greatest films of all time. But theres no use envying about how popular they are. All of use like a little bit of fame but they just got there first.

No,I don't envy them because I hate publicity.All those rumours and most important is that you can't keep every thing private.I won't be able to lead a normal life and moreover you miss going to school.I won't be ablr to concentrate on studies and you can go on like that telling the disadvantages of acting.There are advantages but in my opinion I don't fancy acting.

I think it would be great to be part of the Harry Potter movies... maybe I do envy them a bit, but you know they've earned it... the went to the audition and got the part. I do hope they're happy doing the films because that would mean they are planning on keep playing the roles !!! If it were possible for me to play some part in the upcoming movies I wouldn't doubt on doing it,but I'm just happy for those who are getting the chance because by doing what they are doing they're creating the magic for us.. and that way we can all be part of the world of Harry Potter

I think i'd be more envious of the actual characters, getting to go to hogwarts, but i suppose the actors get to have that as part of their everyday life and that would be great.
on the other hand, they don't get time to do other big things, like concerntrate completely on their school/uni.
i wouldn't like to spend my life without a high level of education.

I'm definitely a little envious (I mean come on, they're getting to make all this money, and a name for themselves in the real world, and the parts they get to act and play are so cool and look like so much fun, and the girl who plays Cho gets to kiss Dan!) but on the other hand, I'm glad it's them doing it and not me, because at this point it's kinda already been established- they are Ron, Harry, Hermione. I don't think anybody could play them better than Dan, Rupert and Emma already have.

I'm a littel envious to the fact that they are famous for playing one role that they are now world wide famous for but on the other hand a little sorry for them beacuse when they grow up they'll probably never loose their HP tags.

Can you really say to yourself that even a few years from now could you see Dan radcliffe in some kind of RomCom beacuse I cant - he'll always be Harry potter

Of course I'm jealous. I'm mostly jealous of the younger actors (Dan, Emma, Rupert...)
because they get to work with some of the greatest actors of our time.
They were complete nobody's that could act. Next thing you know, the're acting in a movie with likes of Dame Maggie Smith, Alan Rickman, and Richard Harris. I hope that they realize how lucky they are.

i'm so jealous that they get to work in film- that, in my opinion, is the best job in the world! also they get the closest thing to hogwarts life you can get, and they don't have to worry about the future very much and not being sucessful in life as they already are.

but when i look up interviews with them i realise just how many interviews and appearances they have to go to- there are so many! all around the world too. it seems they would never have a spare moment.

yeah i am...sort of. its really cool that Emma, Dan, and Rupert got leading roles on, oh only the greatest book series of all time.

and they get to make all this money, too. i mean, come on, who wouldn't be jealous of that? and they have these people swooning over them, talking about the movies they star in. but it could be a bad thing, tooo much publicity.

I am envious of Emma Watson. I think she is so beautiful and she has been able to model and act, everybody knows her. I also understand that it must be hard not having a normal life, but...I would love to be her for a week I also would not mind being a beautiful as she is.

Oh man, I was beginning to wonder if anyone would mention the fact that these kids have gotten to work with such amazing actors!! I mean, geez! That's like an opportunity of a lifetime that I would kill for! These are the luckiest kids in the world, if only for that one aspect.

I would LOVE to be a child star!! I would love everyone to know my name! I couldnt believe it when Emma Watson said thst it wasnt her dream job!! I would love to know all those people on set and be filming all the time. And you wouldnt have to put up with all those teachers that you hate because you only have one! You'd get to learn to to do loads of cool stuff like diving and stuff. You'd also get to sit on a broom stick which is my fantasy. HEY!! i didnt say I was normal... did I.

They are pretty dam lucky to be in the movies, but wouldn't think it would be that great.

Think about it-you're just walking up the street in town, with the intention of posting a letter, when a person comes running up to you for an autograph. Sooneveryone's surrounding you and you can't get away and want to hurry because the postmans coming in a minute to empty the post box and you want to get there in tme. But the people won't let you leave and by the time you get away, the postmans been and gone. Grrrrrr ...

But other then that, they have pretty cool experiences-like scuba diving! That's pretty cool ... i envy that ...

well i guess i envy them in some ways.
1. they get to work with stars like Alan Rickman and David Thewils...
2. they get paid; if i had a lot of money i'd love it because my mom wouldn't have worry any longer.
3. they are bringing a real great series of books to life
4. they have great expriences

but then again all the attetion... that can be a bad thing.

I think at some points I am envious of them. I envy the money they make, the actors/actresses they get to work with, all the Harry Potter experiences they get, and things like that. That being said, I truly would not like all the media attention. It would repetitive and and truly irksome to have every detail of my life speculated and splashed on websites and TV shows.

Yeah, I'm envious. Not for the money they earn, but because they get to dress up and BE in that world. I'm a dork like that, I guess... A drama dork. I would love to just put on the costume and get into character.

Plus you grow up with so many people, and in the end you're so close to them. It's like working on plays... At the end the cast has such a close bond, and you can never replace that. I'd love to work on the same set with the same people for seven movies... It'd be awesome! A little tiresome, at some point, but fun all the same.

There was a time when I was extremely jealous of the actors. I do envy the actors for what they have become and seeing what they have done. They all have done a remarkable job and all and I so want to be like them. Maybe that's why I started getting into theatre. I envy them because they are celebrities and they have acted with incredible cast members, that I can only dream of working with. I suppose we all want what they have and possibly someday we might be fortunate and get it...and then people will envy us.

No, I can honestly say that I am not. With the fame and fortune comes another price. A decade and then some of years away from their life. Young actors, Dan, Emma, and Rupert especially, lost much of their childhood and for some, no amount of money can make up for that. These kids have a duty, a responsibility, that few other kids have. I believe their lives are or have been harder than they seem. I don't envy them, I respect them

I am... I don't like to say jealous because that's not the correct way to identify this emotion, but I certainly would give anything to be in their place.
Not so much for the money or the glory... just for the chance to be spotlighted for doing something that I really love about something I really love (Harry Potter).
There's a certain adrenaline rush I get with acting that you don't get from anywhere else, so that's why I'd love to be them. The money and the fame are just things on the side, but they certainly help.

I know jealousy is a sin and all, but yes, i am envious. I spose it's because they go to all the premiers, work together, get payed, have a really good time, and get one-on-one coaching at school. Plus, You'd be acting on the biggest story/movie franchise in the world. Everyone would know your name. I spose it's the life everyone wants.

Then again they have to work v. hard. But they learn to do cool stunts and everything in the process!

i would have loved to been allowed to auditon for hermione but my mum didnt want me getting upset coz i never went stage school or anything so she thought i didnt have a chance and would be really upset

im envious of how well emma portrays hermione coz i could never do that plus omg imagine working alongside helena b.carter, alan rickman and jason isaccs and maggie smith and etc

No, actually, I hate envying people, but I really fancy to be like them. First, by the honour of being part of one of the greatest stories of all times. Then , 'cause I look at Emma and think "gosh, she can't be so lucky!" She wears the best dresses, has the car she wants, the gadgets she wants, she's envied by half the planet, loved for half the guys, and all of that.
Bahaha, yep Moon, but I don't think that if you're famous you're in the needing of send a letter by mail, or of going yourself to send it. But it's right that you can't go freely anywhere without being stalked, and that wouldn't be very nice.
So, you had the chance to cast, rach2603? That would be interesting. I think that I only have the lack of two basical things for even cast: a smaller nose and living in England. Otherwise, I might have had a chance

I don't know if I envy one character in particular or if I truly envy any of them. I mean yeah it would be cool to shoot a few scenes and meet the actors and JK Rowling when she visits the set but I would not be willing to trade much for that opportunity.
