It basically about the marauders during their 5th year of Christmas and a prank that they do on Christmas.“Lily! LILY EVANS!”
A girl with long auburn hair turned around her green eyes shining brightly. When she saw who it was calling her she rolled her eyes and continued walking away.
“Go away Sirius.” She said calmly
“Lily its an emergency its about a first year!” Lily turned around and faced Sirius, “What is it? It better be good.”
“Around the corner there a some first year tripped over Mrs. Norris and the cat ran away to Filch and now the kid keeps wailing about being in trouble, he won’t shut up!”
Lily smirked, “Why don’t you deal with it yourself?”
“Your prefect! And its soooo annoying he won’t be quiet the little ****.”
“Alright Sirius lead me the way.”
Sirius then started jogging down the hall.
“Where’s this kid?” asked lily worryingly
“Just around the corner.”
Sirius then picked up speed Lily following. Then when Sirius turned the corner leading Lily to bump into the person she despised most.
“James?”
“Hello red.” James said staring down at the flustered Lily.
“Where’s the first year? And what are you doing here?” She asked jabbing her finger at James’s chest.
“No kid.” James replied simply. James then leaned in closer to Lily and whispered in her ear “Look up Evans.”
Lily looked up and saw an enchanted piece of mistletoe. She looked around her and saw Sirius smirking, Remus looking at his feet, and Peter looking up at Sirius.
“James Potter no matter what you do I will not kiss you.”
Lily then flipped her hair and began to walk away, but then a force slammed her back into James.
“It’s enchanted Evans, only one way out.” James said holding Lily.
Lily pushed herself away from James and said,” I will not kiss you, Remus you will let me out won’t you?” Sirius then went over to Remus and put his arm over his shoulders “Come on Moony let us leave our boy here alone with Evans.”
Lily watched in horror as Sirius and Remus walked away with Peter scurrying behind not looking back at Lily.
“I don’t believe this!”
“One kiss Evans.”
“No”
“Then you can leave and go study.”
“No.”
“But it’s Christmas time.”
“No.”
“Make a bloke happy!”
“No.”
“Only way out and you know it.”
“JAMES POTTER I HATE YOU!”
Lily then gave James a quick peck on the lips and ran away blushing furiously.
“Woa…” said James touching his lips, “It worked!”

“ How’d it go James?” asked Remus after James walked in through the portrait door.
“Well I got a kiss.” James beamed as he sat in a chair across from Sirius.
“That’s my boy.” Said Sirius as he slapped James on the back.
“You know that only made Lily hate you even more James if that at all possible, and that now you have far less of a chance to ever go out with her.” Said Remus not looking up from his essay.
“Yea, she hates you.” Agreed Peter sitting across from Remus.
“She’ll come around eventually and hey I got a kiss.” Said James with a cocky smile.
A brown and white owl then swooped in and landed on the armchair dropping a letter in James’s lap. He picked up the letter and read it through.
“What’s it say Prongs?” asked Sirius glancing over James’s shoulder.
James sighed, “Looks like were staying here for Christmas Sirius, my parent are visiting my aunt.”
“That’s all right we can have fun right here! Moony you staying right?”
“When have I ever gone home?” he replied gloomily
The marauders exchanged looks of sympathy. James remember back when they had found out about Moony’s “furry little problem” and how his parents thought it best he stayed at school at all possible. Remus seemed to look through this and know that meant they didn’t want him.
“Uh, um I’m staying here too.” Peter said nervously
Sirius grinned, “You know what that means?”
“Ummm, no.” replied Peter
“It means that all the marauders are here for Christmas, and that means new pranks.” Said Sirius slyly
“And here I though I was going to have a quiet and peaceful Christmas.” mumbled Remus
“Where’s your sense of fun?” asked Sirius
“The school stole it along with my soul.” replied Remus
The others laughed as Remus smiled slightly.
“Only a few days left till Christmas, better get out the drawing board.” Sirius said excitedly
“If only you put this much effort into your homework-“
“Pranks are my specialty not homework.”
Remus sighed as James and Sirius started working out plans.
“Oh, um guys?” Remus asked
“Yea Moony?” replied James still focused on Sirius’s dreadful drawings.
“Tomorrow is a full moon.”
The marauders looked at Lupin with smiles
“We’ll be there Moony.” Said James
“Yea.” Added Peter
“You don’t have to since its so close to Christmas and all-“
“We’ll be there mate.” Said Sirius
Remus looked at his friends, his fellow marauders, his brothers, and realized he could not ask for better friends.
Peter awoke to a cold sensation burning his face. When he opened his eyes he saw none other than Sirius and James standing over him with snow in their hands.
“Wake up, time for a snowball fight!” Sirius said as he rubbed more snow in Peter’s face.
“Guys cut it out!”
“Come on Peter race you downstairs!” James screamed as he scrambled off the bed Peter chasing after him.
“Oh Moony ‘ol pal.” Sirius sang as he leaned over Remus’s sleeping form sprinkling snow on his face.
“Wake up!”
“Sirius go away!”
Sirius chucked the snowball at Remus’s back
“Le moment du mal est venu monsieur!”
Remus startled sat up and gaped at Sirius, “You can speak French?”
“Only a little, I knew my intelligence would wake you.”
“No, I just thought the world was ending.” assumed Remus
“Ha ha very funny, come on times a wastin!”
“Hey Sirius what did you say?” asked Remus
“The time of evil has come, what else?” Remus rolled his eyes and put on his clothes following Sirius into the Hogwarts grounds.

When Remus and Sirius got into the courtyard they saw Peter making a snow angel on the ground under a tree.
“Wormtail where’s Prongs?” Sirius asked
“Oh I think you’ll find him.” Peter replied smirking
Then dozens of snowballs hit Sirius and Remus at once coming from above. None other was there James Potter hexing snowballs from up in the tree.
“James!” Sirius and Remus yelled in unison.
“Try and stop me!” he yelled back in reply
Sirius and Remus looked at each other and nodded, they knew what they had to do. Sirius started throwing snowballs up at James while Remus snuck around the tree and began to climb.
“You shall never defeat the all great and powerful James Potter!”
Remus snuck up behind James and then whispered, “This shall end Prongs.” James whipped around so fast that he lost his balance and fell off the tree into a heap of snow.
Sirius bent down and looked into the dented pile of snow and saw James lying on the ground covered in snow.
“Well, I think we got you mate” Sirius smirked
“C…Coo..”James mumbled
“What’s that?”
“COLD!” James hopped out and ran into the castle with the rest of the laughing marauders behind him.

James sat in front of the fireplace with a large blanket and a mug of cacao. The rest of the marauders sat around a table taking about the prank for Christmas Day. Then Lily Evans walked in looking beautiful as always but her smile widened as she saw James in his state.
“What happened to you Potter?”
James looked up and saw Lily. He threw off the blanket, stood up, and put his hand through his hair.
“Oh, um nothing...Just an…avalanche.”
Lily raised her eyebrows.
“Sure Potter.”
“I see you’re here for Christmas.”
“Well, obviously. Hey what are the rest of your friends doing?”
James looked over and saw his friends huddled together.
“Not another prank is it James?”
James smiled wickedly, “Possibly.”
Lily rolled her eyes and sighed. “Why don’t you ever use your evil pranking minds to think of something less…hurtful and something everyone can enjoy?”
James cocked his head at Lily.
“Like what?”
“I dunno, something that will spread Christmas cheer instead of leaving people screaming.”
James pondered the thought “Something people can enjoy…”
“Well I’ll give it some thought and talk about it to the rest of my possy.” Lily sighed and walked away but James caught her arm.
“Lily?”
“Yes.”
“Will you ever go out with me?”
Lily looked at James and realized for once he was serious and then said, “Someday maybe, when you grow up.”
James smiled slightly as Lily walked away. James then went back to his fellow marauders and sat down.
“Hey, I have an idea, it’s different but I think people will like it.”

“James…James!” James woke up in the Gryffindor Common Room to find Remus, Sirius, and Peter standing over him.
“Gotta go, it’s about time.” Remus said
“Oh, right, let me grab my invisibility cloak.”
A few minutes later the marauders were walking twords the Whomping Willow.
“Hurry up it’s coming!” Remus yelled as the marauders followed after him. As the moon came into view Sirius turned into a black dog, Peter turned himself into a rat, and James turned himself into his beautiful stag form. The marauders all in their animagus forms watched in horror and awe as their friend turned into a dreaded beast that many feared. The watched their best friend go through his worst time of the month, a time he dreaded and feared. Remus leaned back his head and let a howl escape his mouth. A howl that always made the made chills go down your spine and made the hair on your neck stand on end. The marauders did this every month for Remus, not because he asked them but because they wanted to be there for their friend.

Remus awoke his whole body aching. He knew that there would be scars, blood, and sores. He looked around and noticed all his friends around him. James back in human form laying on the floor, Sirius still in his animagus form curled up next to James, and Peter on a broken chair in the corner. Remus realized that his friends must have put him in the bed after he transformed back. They always brought him into the Shrieking Shack. Not always one the bed…but always inside. Remus was exhausted and felt as though he could sleep for a week, but he was used to this feeling. Remus closed his eyes and let himself fall into a deep resting sleep.

Peter awoke to a grumbling noise coming from the pit of his stomach. He knew that noise, he was hungry. He awoke and walked over to the window. Peter noticed it was dark out and that they had slept all day.
“James! Sirius! Remus! Wake up its Christmas Eve!”
The marauders all awoke looking groggily.
“We slept all day!” Sirius whined
“Yea, better go and get some food.” James replied
Peter nodded his head eagerly as Remus got out of bed.
The marauders then headed down for a full meal at Hogwarts together.

Sirius awoke with a bolt of energy. He looked at his alarm that read midnight.
“Perfect.” He whispered
Sirius picked up his shoe and threw it at James.
“Wake up mate we gotta go.”
“Lets wait till later Sirius.” James mumbled as he rolled over “And your shoes smell terrible.”
“Come on! We gotta do it now. Moony! Wormtail get your lazy butts out of bed!”
Half an hour later Sirius managed to get them out of beds and down into the common room.
“Alright I’ll be Dippet and you guys head down to the great hall.” Sirius said. The boys nodded sleepily in reply as they went out the door. Sirius put his wand at his throat and said,” Will all houses please evacuate the Great Hall. Please remain clam there is no emergency. Please all houses evacuate to the Great Hall.”
Sirius himself then ran as fast as he could to the Great Hall.
Student of all houses and ages stood around in the Great Hall in their pajamas staring around at one another.
“Welcome!” Sirius said still with Professor Dippet’s voice.
When the students saw who it was they all started yelling at him and started walking out the door. The rest of the marauders stood at the doors attempting to keep everyone inside.
“Wait! We, meaning James Potter, Remus Lupin, Peter Pettigrew, and I, Sirius Black just wanted to wish you, a Merry Christmas.”
People looked around at each other not knowing what to do. Then James pointed his wand at the front of the hall and casted a spell that left everyone shocked. There in the front of the Great Hall was the most beautiful tree any one had ever seen. There were lights, ornaments, everything to make a tree look beautiful.
“We also casted everyone’s Christmas presents here so they’re all under the tree.” James yelled
“They are also in house order!” Remus yelled
Then the faculty and staff came rushing in.
“What is going on here?!” Professor Dippet yelled
The marauders went up to him filled with smiles
“I should have known. What is all this?”
“We sort of woke everyone a bit early to celebrate Christmas…sir.” Said Sirius
“And presents!” Peter said gleefully
“Yes, we brought everyone’s present’s here, even yours sir.” Remus added
Professor Dippet looked around and saw all his students ripping paper off their presents and hugging their friends.
“You’re missing something.”
“What’s that Sir?” asked Remus
“Hot chocolate.” Dippet replied with a smile
“Dumbledore please tell the house elves to bring out some hot chocolate, oh and coffee for the faculty and staff.”
“Right away.” Dumbledore said with a twinkle, “Oh and I have a suggestion if I may.”
“Yes, what us it?”
“Armando, what if we make this a tradition. Not the getting up at midnight part, but having a tree such as this grand one in the Great Hall. I like trees they tend to make me feel cheerful.”
“Yes Albus I think that would be a wonderful idea.” Dippet replied
The marauders looked at one another grinning.
“Nice work boys.” Dumbledore said
“Thank you Professor.” Said James
“Now let us all go and open our gifts.” Said Dippet excitedly
“Yes Sir!” said Sirius as he then sprinted to the tree.
James walked over to the tree and opened his present from Sirius and a mirror fell out.
“What the bloody?”
Then James felt a hand on his back and turned around and saw Sirius standing over him.
“Its not just a regular mirror mate, it’s a two way mirror.”
“What do you mean?” James asked confused
“Call my name into the mirror.” Sirius replied
James looked at Sirius and then at his mirror and yelled, “Sirius!”
Sirius’s face then appeared and said, “Hey mate.” James in awe turned around at Sirius and saw that he too was holding a mirror.
“Wicked!” James said, “Thanks mate.”
“Sure, now we can talk in classes and stuff! It will be awesome.” James smiled at his best friend as he walked away over to Remus. James then noticed none other than Lily Evans walking towards him.
“Marry Christmas Evans.” He said with a smirk
“Merry Christmas James…Um, Well I just wanted to say...this was a god idea except for the fact that you all woke us up in a panic at midnight.”
“I’ll take that as a compliment.”
“Oh, and this is for you.” Lily said as she handed a present over for James. James took the present and saw Lily walking away. He opened the present and found a picture of Lily. She looked as though she was going to kiss him; she kept getting closer...and closer…until water squirted out onto James’s face.
“Egh! It’s scented like stupid smelly flowers!” James wailed as he wiped off his glasses and then saw Lily laughing at him.
“Thanks for the gift Evans I’ll cherish it forever!” He yelled as he held the photo to his chest.
“Prongs get over here!” Sirius yelled over the crowd
James walked over to his friends and sat down with some hot chocolate.
“Merry Christmas fellow marauders.” James said
“Merry Christmas.” The replied
They all agreed this was one of the best Christmases that they had ever had. They had each other and that’s all they could ever ask for.
