I posted this message in the Updates section because I was sure that I had seen a topic about the door but couldn't find it - I searched again and I'm guessing that it has been archived (as it well, wasn't open anymore ) - so I hope that it is okay that I started this thread, if not then I am sorry

The door has opened and there is a puzzle to open the door but the reward is definitely worth it, The title to book 7 is revealed *jiggy dance*

If anyone want any help getting into the door or the game to get the title please feel free to owl me and I'll gladly help

although http://www.hpana.com/news.19713.html gives a step by step guide to getting the answer (just highlight to reveal), I cheated and used it

I won't post it, as I don't want to ruin the fun for everyone (and I'm not entirely sure how to blank out text )

Okay i wont say the title either... But isn't it great..
I was suprised to see that up there i can't believe i didn't hearlthe title on the radio..
But i think it's so mysterious and fits in well with Harry Potter.

Yeah I know!! Harry Potter and the.................. I don't think it is the best name but it is magnificent all the same. I was so excited that I was almost late for my hair cut and that is saying something. Ooh I really can't wait till it comes out now. How exciting. I wonder what the title means. When can we actually say the title on here? Two weeks? Tomorrow? Saturday? Who knows. I'm so excited and I'm gonna stop rambling now.

Yes, there was a thread, Velvet, but I think it got locked and archived a while ago, so this thread is fine I will tweak the title a little bit, pin it, and dedicate this thread to discussion about the door, how to get it open, help for those who haven't managed it yet, etc. As gaburdette has said though, as a note to everyone posting here, PLEASE do not mention what the title is here - we have a thread for that at the link he provided.

Ooh, and incase anyone was wondering, we do have spoiler tags on site. All you need to do is put [spoil ] before the phrase that's a spoiler and then at the end, put [ /spoil], but without the spaces.

EDIT : Unique Individual - you're having problems dragging the key across.... I know it sounds silly, but you are clicking on it, keeping your finger on the mouse button until the key starts to move, and then you need to put it directly over the lock... When you say you can't do it, which part isn't working?

okay, so i've only begun to reveal myself on this site. many mentioned how to find the new title through the door but how do you get your wombat student id now?

Ah alas you can't now. Not at this moment in time anyway. The door is open now to reveal the new title of the book. But once it has closed it will open before long giving the third and final wombat test, if you take that test it will give you your student id. But you will only be able to take the last test if you haven't taken part in the wombat yet.

Oh, goody! I'm excited now!!

I entered the site even if I knew the title but I`ve cheated
I like very much the site but it`s difficult to reveal the secrets, we need to cheat.
Anyway there are some people smarter who don`t need any cheat but..

Ok, I just went to the site and since I missed all of the WOMBAT tests, I'm not really sure on how to get through the door. Is there a key somewhere? I've tried clicking on the doorhandle and I didn't see a key.....Please Help!

Has the door already closed now? When I go to the site, and click on the eraser, sometimes I find the "Do Not Disturb" sign, and sometimes I don't. I've tried to follow the guide I found on Lexicon, but it doesn't work, even when the sign is not on the door.
I click on the door in the mirror, but don't see a christmas tree. I thought that maybe the door has closed now, and it's just a glitch that I sometimes see it without the "Do Not Disturb" sign.
I heard about the title on the TV news, and was shattered that I had missed it on the site as my computer has been behaving badly the last few days, but I would still like to do the puzzle, if it is still possible.

I've just opened the door and done the hangman game even though I've known the title for twelve hours already.

The door hasn't closed yet, you just have to click on the door a few times if it doesn't show up.

I love the title name and now it is deffinate that the book won't be too far away now!

So, I just want to make sure I've understood correctly. I know this sounds stupid, but just to make sure - it is the open door at the end of the hallway that is reflected in the mirror to the right of the main door, isn't it?

Yes, the open door in the mirror you need to click on. But don't click on the actual door itself - you click on the dark space in the room beyond. When you do, the dark space will reveal the Christmas tree.

EDIT : Click in the dark space just below and to the right of the handle. It just worked for me there. I checked

I don't know how "techy" you guys are, but I am not at all, so, is there something I can do, like deleting my cookies, or whatever, that may help.

Also, when I go to the site, I click on the eraser to go to the door, and the first time, the "Do Not Disturb" sign is there, but then I go back to the front page, and back again to the door, and the sign is gone, and missing on all subsequent attempts until I close and re-open the site, when, again, the first attempt gives me the Do Not Disturb sign

(Sorry if I didn't explain myself very well there, I did the best I could)

I'm not particularly techy, unfortunately, and most of our techy guys aren't around at the moment for the Christmas break so....er....okay...

The one thing I can definitely tell you is that it's not the site, so whatever the problem is, it has to be with your computer. You shouldn't be seeing the 'Do not disturb" sign because when you reload the site, it should refresh immediately. If you're seeing that sign, it must mean that you're looking at an older version of that page for some reason. The only way that I can see around that is for you to delete all your cookies, temporary files, things like that. Have you got something like Norton Cleansweep or whatever the Windows equivalent is? (Disc Cleanup, I think, you access it via the Control Panel > Performance and Maintenance)

Run that, then run a virus checker, just to make sure that there isn't anything on your computer that could be interfering with the page load.

Once you've done all that, try accessing the site again. Don't access it via a bookmark though - type in the web address, then click on the English flag, and load the site from scratch.

If you still can't access the page after doing all that, you'd better send me an Owl so we can continue this privately rather than taking up space in this thread

Another suggestion for Kymar: on the webpage, click the Refresh button (the one with circling arrow), that will automatically update the page. Hopefully the "do not distub" sign is now gone.
Then, you have to follow a certain series of steps, that others have described.
First, click the open door in the mirror (the handle) and you will see a Christmas tree lit up.
If you can get so far, just follow the other steps. Hope this helps.

I finally managed to do it, but on a different computer, and a friend just told me that he's found out there's some sort of problem with Windows XP, service pack 2.
