What do you think Severus would desire the most to receive as a Christmas present?

An excellent answer, Lauren! First, I had in mind a rare book or something along this line, but your answer just touched my heart. You are right, either the signature or the photo would be perfect.

But then, on the other hand, none of them was meant primarily for Severus. In my opinion, what he would desire the most isn’t a thing just linked to Lily, like Lauren says, but something what Lily actually made for Severus; maybe at the time the two of them were kids and still friends. Something like an enchanted leave or stone that Lily made for and gave to Severus when they were having their long talks in the woods. Something rather trivial but at the same time laden with emotional meaning for Severus.

I also think that Severus might be pleased by anything coming from a person whom he values, for example from Dumbledore. I’m convinced Severus would appreciate merely the fact that someone remembers him at Christmas. I’m sure he would be happy receiving a rare ancient book on potions, or a particularly rare ingredient for a potion. But he would also be satisfied with much less, as long as the present expresses that someone cares for Severus and doesn’t want him to feel ostracized at the time of Christmas. It can be even only a bottle of Elf-made wine or a nice vial, for example.

I think that someone...Harry most likely, would composite a scrapbook filled with old photos of Snape, some really old photos of Lily and Snape before they were at Hogwarts, after all, there must be some that don't move around since Lily is a muggle and Snape is part muggle. I think some old tests/grades of former students of Snape while he was a Potions Master. I also thinks some Order memorabilia would grace the scrapbook. And since it can't only be happy memories as it would be a scrapbook that chronicled his life...I think an obituary of DD should be included as well.

Hmmm, I had to think about this question a bit before I answered, and my mind kept reading towards one thing- Hermione. (Well, in my mind, I would love for them to be together, but thats just me.)

But my serious answer is, something related to his past. From DH, it said he had feelings for Lily in his past, so possibly something of Lily's, or something that Lily made for him. Really, even a note would be fine I believe.


Or I could wrap myself up in a Christmas box and I could be his Christmas present. Oh how one wishes!

I agree with Potion Mistress that Severus would really appreciate any gifts from people who he values, because as the saying says “it was really the thought that counts”. Although he may not show it properly that he appreciate them, but deep inside him, he does. He is a very sensitive person but he wears a mask that constantly hides this side of him.

As for me I would love to give him cds of my favourite songs so that he could listen to them and relax and of course reminds him of me. Hehe.
Or I would give him an enchanted bracelet that every time he starts blaming his self for the death of Lily it would remind him that he had a life to live and his promise to Dumbledore and hope that it would bring some comfort and some happiness that he failed to felt for a long time.

What do you think was Severus' remedy for relaxation?
Maybe he sits on his chair throws his leg up the table and look at lily's picture smile and remember their days together it would make snape relaxed all rite
But at any rate i dont think snape ever got time for relaxation wat with his chores at hogwarts and bidding of the dark lord
If Snape was a type of candy what would he be? In other words what sweet (candy) could represent Snape?
i agree with potions mistress that he would be a greasy type of candy which is hard and ppl dont wanna touch it outside but has a sweet taste inside like it or not ppl use it for life savers (if they are starving
Do you think Snape would have had a very different relationship with Harry had he allowed the Sorting Hat to place him in Slytherin?
No snape doesnt hate harry because he is in griffindor Snape hates him cause he is so much like James and snape Hated everything about James Potter....But He still protects him with his life for lily Potter but if harry was in Slytherin it gives snape more chance to punish him put him in detention suspend or expel him..In harry s second year Chamber of Secrets snape was onto expelling him but since McGonagoll was Harry s Head of House he couldn't do that
