Oh gosh. That's hard. I'm going to go with Speedo. I figure that if Severus is going to show some leg, then he'd probably go with something that showed even more. Why settle for less right?

Alright... I don't really see him having a pet either, but if I had to choose I would say something that didn't need taking care of often. I can actually picture him having an aquarium in his private quarters. A small aquarium that's built into the wall. That way he could lay in bed and just ponder while looking at his assortment of colorful fish.

Ok I have to admit that when I read this last question I immediately said uh-oh because of my ideal response! It's quite similar to Lily's only I'm not a fan of high heels. Ok, maybe I'm a bit too shy for that... so instead I'll go with playing off of my shyness. I'd make sure I looked my best and try some little flirting things I think he'd like. I wouldn't stand down from his sarcasm. I'd have some good comebacks that showed what he said didn't bother me, but it would also show my interest in him. Then, once he's hooked... I'll try LilyPotter's idea.

What’s Severus’ smell?
The heavy scent of new leather, a hint of spice (cinnamon and clove), and fresh rosemary. Rosemary has lots of unique properties, one of which is its reputation for improving memory which I can see Severus exploiting. It also has some very real sinister properties which make it perfect for our dark professor.

What would make him laugh?
Laugh because he’s genuinely happy or laugh at someone else’s misfortune? The latter I see happening quite a bit, but former only very rarely. Perhaps if Hermione would let go of her rules and regulations, and just let loose a little in Potions, succeed in a way even Severus wouldn’t think possible, we might get a bit of a true smile. If she did it with wit and humility, we might get a bit more. Actually, if she'd give free rein to her imagination with her homework, I can actually see him laughing in the comfort and privacy of his office.

What kind of music would Severus like?
Background music, he doesn’t want to be disturbed.

Does Severus like brunettes, blondes, or redheads?
Yes, yes he does. But I think he likes brunettes best, especially ones with naturally curly hair.

Well, if grandpa pants and (California) board shorts are the same thing, then definitely the grandpa pants. Held up at the waist by one tenuous bit of string tied in a loose slip knot.

If he had a pet, what would it be?
Like Lily, I don’t see Severus as much of a pet person. Too much responsibility towards another living being and I can’t imagine him being neglectful of any animal in his care. His relationship with an animal would be more along the lines of a partnership as opposed to a pet-master one. Therefore, I imagine him having a raven. Like himself, they are highly intelligent, cunning, and extremely devoted. Because it looks just like every other raven, it would be able to move freely wherever it needed to be without attracting any attention. Far more useful than any owl. It would hunt for itself with Severus merely augmenting its diet. Both raven and wizard would retain their individual identities while acknowledging the other as a valuable teammate. Actually, I’m a little surprised JKR didn’t give Severus a raven.

If you realize that the dark professor has an interest towards you, how do you behave?
Well, seeing as someone would have to tell me that this was so (we all have our blindspots, don’t we?), I would at first not believe it and then probably spend in inordinate amount of time trying to figure out what it was that I was doing that had him interested in me. In the end I guess I’d spend more time with my hippogriff and he’d have to come looking for me. (Ok, so I’m a bit of a coward) Lily’s brave for showing up in her heels. If I tried that I’d probably twist an ankle, bang my nose, and have to be taken to the hospital wing, and probably by Slughorn.

And yes it would be nice to see a few (brave) posters update the fan fic.

What's Severus' smell?
A mixture of raw ingredients which he uses to make potions with a slight wift of moth balls. aahah

What would make him laugh?
1)If Draco turned Harry upside down made him hover over the black lake revealing pants saying I'm A Big Boy Now which in actual fact belong to Dudely. HAH
2)Also if teachers were allowed to enforce any sort of punishmend they wanted.
3)If Gryffindor lost every Quidditch match because Harry decided that Neville would be a better seeker than himself. (OH IMAGIN THAT?)
4)And if Dumbledore farted really loudly whilst giving one of his long speaches to the school at the beginning of new year.

I honestly don't see him swimming. I think if he had to go, he'd dress in the board shorts that nevillesgirl mentioned. I think he might have Slytherin green down the sides, though, instead of grey. House pride, and all that.

Even thought justin says they're evil, I'd still say a cat. Nothing exotic or fancy, but perhaps an old stray that started hanging around. He might let it in at night and let it sit on his lap while he was reading, and he'd absently stroke it. It's pretty self-sufficient, as it's a stray. Catches all the rodents and grasshoppers it can, so he doesn't really have to do much to take care of it. Since it's outside the majority of the time, no litter box to worry about. Cats are very opinionated, and they are pretty loyal. They remind me a lot of him, actually. Very quiet and stealthy and seemingly unassuming, yet they pack quite a punch if you get one in a corner.

Be afraid! Fictional characters starting to be interested in me! AAAHHHH! Okay, so we'll pretend he's real and I'm not happily married, right? Hmm,I am going for a bunch of cats. Not too many, but deffinetly a cat lover. He would have 4 cats, a black cat named shadow (his favourite one.) a grey with black stripes named spider, a orange with white stripes (like mine ) named ripper and lastly, a smokey one named mist.

~Oh this is absolutely my answer in verbatum! I require a man with a strong backbone but with some flexibility...I would be surprised if he stuck around long enough to make it worthwhile


~Yikes...four cats. I may have been able to get on board with one, but not four. Actually I was thinking of something a little more exotic. Like a Kamodo Dragon. They are lizards that are kind of yellowish with tiny black spots. It would take a special kind of person to have one for a pet and to see its beauty and grace. And being a lizard they are relatively low maintainence which is something Severus would totally appreciate I think.

Yes, but that was Draco's movie line, right? "I've always wanted a pet that can kill me!" Oh, I couldn't resist.

We actually just got two little anole lizards. They were selling them at the Renn Fair as "baby dragons." They are so much more entertaining than goldfish, but you have to water them twice a day and catch bugs to feed them. Of course, Severus would use magic to figure a way around having to do these menial chores himself, so I guess I could see him with something exotic like that. I'm sticking with an old stray cat, though. And he'd eat the lizards.

I'm starting to be swayed to change my answer of the swimsuit into board shorts. I like the idea of Slytherin green (I don't remember who said that though). Severus seems like he would support his house no matter what the situation.

As for the body suit, I don't quite see that one...

I don't know if I like the idea of the Komodo Dragon either. I just see him not wanting a pet that requires too much caring just because he's quite busy with him being a double agent. I am starting to be swayed into liking a cat... but oh gosh!... not four!

Well, since lily isn't at Hogwarts I will have to go with...Hermione. I guess because other than certain people telling me it would be perfect, *cough* workaholic *cough*. THey are a lot a like I guess. That would be the only person I could see.

Well, he wouldn't have played at Hogwarts because of The Marauders. Maybe on spare time he just went over or soemthing. IF so I would say he played...not seeker...not beater...he doesn't work well with too many people so no chaser...that leaves keeper.

Sorry for my absense, and now rudeness, I have to butt in and say in OOTP many characters only have brief apperances but I was sitting in the cinemas thinking "those SOSS people would be so proud right now" I kid you not that's what I thought everytime I saw a Snape scene! Then realsed I should continue focussing on the movie, it was amazing, very well done, so many lines were just straight out of the book and the penseive scene ie Snape's past is not what you expect but very well done but I dont remeber seeing young Lily? Iit was all compacted so well! Ah ok I won't say any more I don't want to ruin anything for anyone so please tell me if you thought Snape was as good as I did...stupid question I know but it's what were here for

I agree with everything DrinoTonks said. Snape was amazing. I felt that the movie was very rushed, but what do you expect when turning a 900 page book into a 2 hour movie?

There was very little of any character other than Harry, but, when there was, all of them were amazing.

Above all, by far, my favorite movie yet.

Like many have said Hermione. She is the only one who seems to appreciate and share his interlectual power. And she seems some what more sophisticated and mature than the other girls in her year....as for other teachers...well McGonagall is a bit old for him and the fact that Slytherin and Gryffindor don't usually get on that would have a big effect. I think Draco would be another likely love match for Snape. HAHA he seems to adore the ground that Snape walks on and if they were to get married they would have Lucius and Narcissa's blessing as Snape took such care of their son.

I think he was more committed to accademics than to sports but if he did I would imagine that he would be a keeper. He is extremely alert and quick thinking. I would love to see him on a broom doing all these fantastic saves. But come to think of it he did referee a match in the PS.... maybe he just remembered how to fly from his lessons long ago at Hogwarts.

Hermione. No other option for me. I could go on in my explanation about how the two are so similar, but to be honest, I think it goes beyond that.

I don't see him wanting to play quidditch. That would only further his encounters with the mauraders, which he wouldn't want, so I really don't think he would. However, just for fun, if he did I can see him being a seeker because he's so keen on details and such so this position stands out as what he would succeed best at.

My movie review:

Severus was portrayed great. He didn't have as big of an appearance as I expected, but he was surely amazing in the parts he was in. I must admit I was a bit dissapointed in the length of the pensieve scene. I was expecting it to be much larger, but I was impressed with the younger version of him, the similarity was great! It was really great and byfar my favorite.

Oh wow... that scene with the look into Severus' past was my favorite scene in the whole movie. It was brilliant. I was disappointed that we didn't get to see Lily, even though she is credited in the film, but oh well.

Alan was incredible in this movie. He was brilliant. And, by the way, he lost a ton of weight, and looks the hottest he has looked yet! Ah!

I also dreamt of Sevvie this morning, Clara! hehe

~I did get a sense of how comical Severus' character was portrayed in this film however because Alan does such a fabulous job with facial features I still got a sense of how nasty he can be. I was hoping for a little more emotion from the part where Harry actually breaks into his memories just because of how it was written in the book.


~Heck yeah he was!!! I think I have a new favorite quote..."Obviously" The way he said it was so darn sexy...

I was a little disappointed that they cut the tension scene between Severus and Sirius. I thought that would have been a great opportunity to see Alan and Gary Oldman really have liberties with their acting talents. Can you imagine the loathing on Snapes face when he would have drawn wands against Sirius with Harry in the middle? Delicious

Hi I have FINALLY seen the movie and it was fan-ruddy-tastic! Alan looked so much better in this one and he stole the show. I could have melted when he made an appearence.

it is true that good old Sev doesn't appear a lot in the film. In the one which has just come out I think I would have liked to have seen more Occlumency lessons and a full interogation from Umbridge when she was assessing the teachers, it was great when he hit Ron over the head though HAHA! I also would have liked the Snape's Worst Memory to be longer and to show the flash back of his parents fighting....oh oh and Severus and Sirius arguing in number 12 Grimmauld place. I'd love to see Alan get really angry and wave his wand in fury HAHA!

I agree with HP number one Fan. I think the most important part that was short was the Occlumency lessons. they were very important yet it was so short. the fight at Grimauld Place would be cool to see and interesting but wasn't too important. I also agree that we should have seen all of Snape's Worst Memory.

I have to agree with workaholic_1231. I would have loved to see the interaction between Lily and Severus. Ooo errr It involves red wine, candles,music to put us in the mood and strawberrys(minus the cream..I dont like the stuff). To put it nicely.

I thought long and hard at work today about what I would like to happen to Severus:

*Admit that he did have feelings for Lily. How romantic would that be? And It would prove to everyone else that he is a real man with a heart and sole.

*Become a new headmater at Hogwarts. HAHA or form a Severus Snape School for the fun of it tehehe where people learn to be as wonderful and as great a wizard as he is.

Fist, welcome to toonmili and osobrox. Osobrox, you still have two wishes...express them ! Toonmili, just copy and paste the things you previously wrote, they will be just fine!

Yeah, a Tonks/Snape ship could be interesting, although I find her a bit too much beyond the rules to be fancied by a man like Snape, who obviously is very strict about rules.
Though, I don't think it's necessary for this ship to let poor Remus die...he's too cute and he has been too unhappy...he deserves to be happy and healthy!!! so if his relationship with Tonks must come to an end...let's let him live!!

Three things I would see Snape doing in this last book:

1) I would see him cry. I know it sounds weird but I would like to see him dismissing this steel-clad mask for a minute and to let it go...
2) I would see him with a mate, a mate for life hopefully, and future father.
3) I would see his courage and good actions recognized and praised by everyone in the wizarding world.

Well said! Well Said indeedy! He deserved to be noticed and appreciated more, he has been through a lot if I were him I would have kill Harry long ago, whether or not I was being watched by Dumbledore haha. It must be so painful to see his bully still lives on inside his son. And when Harry used Sectumsempra on Draco is was like reliving his worst memory again when James used Levicorpus on him.He should get some sort of award for making up those spells....also why didn't Harry use Sectumsempra on one of the Death Eaters in HBP I certainly would have. Ahhhh poor Sevy. If none of our wishes come true there is one which must I repeat must be granted to us Sevaholics! HE MUST LIVE!

Three things I would see Snape doing in the last book...

1. I would see him in a knock-down, drag out wizards duel with first the Death Eaters...specifically Lucius Malfoy...then Voldemort himself in which he is not killed but seriously hurt.

2. I see him facing the ridicules of the wizarding world with pride and confidence and grace...especially when they all find out he was truly on the side of Dumbledore and the Order.

3. I want to see him admit to loving someone or admit to screwing up a relationship where someone loved him. I would like to see the emotion on his face that communicates this deep regret-let the mask down you know.

Oh I cant wait for tomorrow!!

Mmm I don't know. My heart only really belongs to adult Alan Rickman Snape.....I think its something about older men with me teheh. I'm sure if I actually saw they young Snape act then I would like him more. He wasn't too bad though, could have been worse. I just feel sorry for him that there was a big deal being made about young Snape and he was giving interviews and everything only to find that he had less than 1 minute on screen which I was totally gutted about. Hopefully he will be in the DVD extras.

And. . .I just noticed that I was devotee of the month in April. I MISSED IT! How'd the heck did I miss that? I'm going to have to read back a few pages, aren't I??

The forums have one more day of activity before we close. Do we have any final predictions regarding our dear potions master?

Mine are as follows:

1. Snape will be proven to be on the side of the light! I used to say that I didn't really care because I love his character regardless of the side he is on. I do love his character regardless because he's an awesome invention, but I will be disappointed if he ends up truly evil.

2. I'm in the minority, but I don't think he needs to die in order to be a redeemable character. So I'm saying he lives.

3. It will be revealed that he loved either Narcissa (yay) or Lily (grrr).

4. Perhaps he will forgive Harry of his father's crimes.

5. Or he will continue to loathe Harry because Harry's a jerk to him.

6. Snape will have a key role in the defeat of Voldemort, either intentionally or unintentionally!

If you have any last minute predictions on our favorite character, now's the time to make them!!
