HP-Deathly-Hallows

Voldemort is not likely to be sleeping in a bin down a dark alley in london is he. Is he using the house in the begining of HPAGOF. Or maybe he could have built his own headquarters: a day center for the death eaters. What do you think?

Hehe, you can just imagine it can't you?!
You're walking down a dark alley and then this evil guy pops his head out of the bin!
That would be creepy
Anyway, yes I absolutely agree HP-Deathly-Hallows about Voldy having a head quarters and....omg....I've just thought of something!!
This whole time I've been thinking that something bad would happen if Harry visited Godric Hollow and maybe...that's where voldermort is staying..ooooh scary!!!

Hmmm interesting topic

, but isn’t the Riddle House the most likely spot for the Death Eater’s Headquarters. I think the Voldemort is smarter than to put headquarters in a spot where the Order knows he once dwelled.

Interesting topic!
I always took it for granted, that voldemort is somewhere, but never thought about where he might linger. I agree with jiggery-pokery that he won't risk putting up headquarters at a place very well known. But Godric's Hollow might be a good guess nonetheless, because I could imagine that voldemort stays exactly there where he was once defeated to prove that he does not fear it.
But we don't know in what state Godric's Hollow is, do we? I mean it was sort of destroyed the night he tried to kill Harry and in now about 16 years have passed since that day...

I agree with jiggery-pokery and white_dragon. The Riddle house is way to common and if that was the headquarters, I’m sure that the order would’ve captured Voldy and the Death Eaters back in book 5.

You know what? I have another theory all together...
I don't really think that he has a 'headquarters' at all. He doesn't seem like the kind of person who just sits around and waits to be found.

No, I think if he does have a 'headquarters' than it would probably change locations every month or so. And if he did have a headquarters it would probably be unplottable so nobody could find it.
When he was at the Riddle house, it was kind of just like a place for him to lay low for a while. I don't think he really intended to stay there, whether the caretaker found him or not.

I like this question and since once again I am going to have a complete disregard of punctiation you all best be ready for it. Well I will use periods but that is all. The Dark Lord does not seam like the kind of person who would have head quarters but he does seem like the kind of person who can always be reached when he needs to be as well as the kind of person who can always reach people whenever he wants to and I almost said the Dark Lords name which was bad really really bad. I should know this and I do but I do not reveal the Dark Lords most inner secrets to anyone not even myself cause Jakin would tell the world but I would not. So yes he does have a head quarters so to speak but it is not the same thing ilke the Order has it is just a place where people can meet him they have meetings in other places cause it would be strange to see the same wizzards meeting in the same place more than once but to have random wizzards dropping in that is not abbeynormal. He does what he did in the fourth book where they met in a graveyard though it is rarely the same place he just calls them and they meet him often not knowing where it is going to be. The Dark Lord does not worry about protecting himself from muggles cause he can just kill em pretty easily which is what he does or has his Death Eaters I almost said pawns there but I am one too and I do not insult myself very often which might sound strange to many people but not to me and so I am going to stick with that that the Dark Lord calls the meetings wherever he wants but if people want to meet him he has a place but I cannot reveal that place nor can I say this that most people avoid meetings with him except for Severus since those two are so close sometimes they are even closer than me and the Dark Lord which sounds preposterous but I tell you it is true.

Even though that Voldy now has a body I still don't think he has a headquarters where he meets deatheaters. He can summon them anyplace he goes with the dark mark so it is not really a nessesity. Besides if he had a headquarters he would be easier to find. Although he is arogant enough to think that no one can touch him even if they know where he is he is not stupid and I would think he would move around from place to place. Sort of like a fugative.

of course Voldemort has his own headquarters! a place where he can do all his evil thinking and trying to get into Harry´s head.. a place where death eaters -but only the most loyal ones- can find him. I think it´s a place know one could asume it to be.. and only few death eaters know his whereabouts..

i do not believe voldemort has one central location. He propally moves around alot and has many places form wich he can control his armies. Remember that the scar will tell when voldy wants them so he does not need the hedquartesr as much as the phenix. Also voldemort would not want everyone to die in one storkc. But this is a good question and i agree coldemort has headquarters, It makes sens that it owuld be godric;s hollow. This is a very intreseting thread i had not though of that

As long as Voldemort is safe in Godric's Hollow, he will make himself at home there.
Whenever possible, his lair has been in Hogwarts.
But I see him as being very mobile, there have been many murders of late, and I would imagine that he has seen to more than a few of them in person. . because he likes the rush of killing, and he can apparate wherever he likes.
It's hard to imagine him using the guest bedroom at the Malfoy Estate.

Well, the way I see it, there is only one way to look at this. Like I have said before, the best indicator of future behavior is past behavior. So, we know that LV spent his childhood in an orphanage (which would make me think that he longed for a more "permanent" home), and then went to Hogwarts (a more "permanent" home). Correct me if me if I am wrong, but isn't the reason that LV stopped releasing the basilisk in COS because he didn't want the school to be closed (well, that and Dumbeldore was kinda on to him). The other time that we know of, he was in the mansion by the cemetary for a year in GOF. Of course, he didn't really have a body at that time, and so I'm not sure that he was in a right state to be traveling around. The other small, perhaps insignificant piece of evidence that we need to take into account is that LV is a hoarder, or trophy keeper. True, a lot of his important trophies are now horcruxes, but I find it hard to believe that he has completely given up this practice. So he would need a place to keep these "trophies". So if we take all that into account, it seems as though he would be the type to have a permanent location.
As for where it is I like the idea of him staying at Godric's Hollow and how that nicely fits with the title, but I have no clue really.

I see Voldy having made a headquarters he made up. Something like the Order for the bad guys. If he used the Fidelius charm, then he would be the secret keeper. They don't want the Order barging in and attacking. Voldy is not stupid. Well maybe he is , but not that stupid.

i love the thought of voldemort having a headquarters but does he really need one. he can summon his death eaters whenever he wants to with the dark mark on one of their wrists. the problem with that is voldemort has to have a DE there to summon the rest. what if he is by himself. then what? does he just wander around running into walls waiting for a DE to find him..?
if voldemort does have a HQ then its probably hidden like Hogwarts or maybe he is hiding himself with his very own secret-keeper.

maybe he just travels around a lot, like Slughorn did, breaking into peoples houses and stuff, bu i imagine voldermort to have done somethnig like break into a big tomb at the cemetry and have a head quaters there, i mean his hq must be some-where creey or evil!

i'mnot sure it seems kind of sad and pathetic for voldemort to need to break into peoples houses to find a place to stay

Now personnally, I was under the impression that the title of the book itself answers that question.
Has it ever occured to anyone that maybe the Deathly Hallows is a place? More specifically, Voldemort's headquarters>
It makes sense. Voldemort basically worships death, and the word "hallow" means something that is thought of as holy or sacred to someone. So "deathly hallows" could be the name of Voldemort's last sanctum or headquarters.
After all, I don't think he lives in a trash can either lol.
This probably should have gone under the book title thread, but I wanted to answer our question with another question. (see above.)

what about the cemetary that his fathers bones lie? does he say something in the movie along the lines "thirteen years its been and you come back to my side as if it were yesterday" about that whole situation?

i dont know about a headquarters bc if someone from the order found out then voldy would be pretty much dead. i think he moves from place to place from time to time.

I don't think it wold be Godric's Hallow either. I was sort of thinking it could be like Grimmauld Place, with all the enchantments and what not. So that no one but he (Voldemort), and the Death Eaters would know about its existence.

Well, They probably have a headquarters somewhere, and I also think it is proably the Riddle House.
At first I thought that it could be in Godric's Hallow, but I doubt because after reading book 6, we see that Harry is going to visit Godric's Hallow during the summer, so probably in the begining of book 7. I doubt that JK Rowling will have Harry find Voldy's headquarters so early in the book.
It also seems like a lot of death eaters ( Lucius, Snape, ect.) live at there own homes. So maybe its just Voldy and Peter that need a place to stay, where as the death eaters live at there own homes. In half blood prince, Peter is staying at Snape's, so maybe Voldy is on his own.

Mistress of Magic:
Wow!! I never really even considered that! That would be creeepy

. But think abut the title- Deathly Hallow
S. There must be more than one Deathly hallow then. Which one does Lord Voldemort Live in?? Haloow 666???
I agree with the theory that The headquarters being the Riddle house is far too obvious. I mean, DD probably visited the houise to get more info on Tom. So he would have met Voldemort there and executed him before the D.E.s showed up.
To
snapyourcrisps:
I agree with you on the fact that since Harry is probablt going to go there durig the summer of his 7th year, J.K. Rowling wouldn't reveal Voldemort's hide-out so soon.
Also, the idea that Voldemort would live like Slughorn is hilarious!! I mean, Slughorn lives
in fear of Lord VOldemort, so why would VOldemort copy the style of a scared man?? Seriously, he is not afraid of himself...
or is he???
To
cnickelson:
Your idea of Voldemort's magpie qualities leading him to make a stash and home someplace is really ingenious!! I don't think anyone else picked up on that!! That would be really ironic that the only reason VOldemort got caught in his home was because of his habit to pocket trophies! So yes, Voldemort probably does have a hideout, but it's probably right under our noses and we missed it!!
