i would definitely want to be in the Order. They are extremely brave and get to use magic all the time. i would want to be harry's partner <333 of course. i would love to help the world from being destroyed or controlled by an evil wizard.

I wish i could be in the order! OFcrose i would like to be in the order. I would love to help hermione, ron, harry, tonks, The weaslys, Lupin, and even Snape!I would do anything to help them, i will ifhgt voldemort hhimself if i need to... although im only in my first year so im not sure what to do yet. But if i cna do anything i would surely do it!

Well, with contemplating becoming part of the order one must also keep in mind that with joining the order you would be joining a universe in which Voldemort is killing innocent human beings.

Would you join the resistance and try to resist his sick and twisted idea of what the world should be? I'm guessing that many if not all of us would attempt to resist him. So would I like to be part of the order if situation dictated that resistance was needed; sure. One must keep in mind that it's -the order- your joining, and putting your life on the line.

That choice is hardly an easy one to make.

I'd do whatever I could to stop Voldemort, whether it was joining the Order and taking a very active roll, or doing something along the DA where I would do subversive things to undermine any ground Voldemort had gained. I'm all about stopping injustice and doing the right thing.

I would be in the order. In fact I would end up being the leader of the order. I have spent my entire adult life fighting against oppression and individuals who believed that killing those that don't have their same ideals. I would realy like to fight the good fight, right next to snape!

I'd definitely join the Order. It is right and important to fight evil and working for Dumbledore is cool anyway. Yet I doubt that I'd be brave enough to take Snape's job, closing your mind against Voldie might be a little bit hard...

I definitely would love to be a part of the order.. Being on the good side is already cool.. and just fight like an army...be with the people who have the same heart as mine is overwhelming...it's just an amazing thought.

The Order is such a big responsibility, and to be honest I don't know if I could deal with the stress, and the deaths, but keep my head held strong. I would love to be in the order, but I don't know if I would be capable.
If I was in the Order though, Bellatrix would've died long before the nigth she did- I would've killed her the night she tourtered the poor Longbottoms into insansity. And, I would also save Snape

I remember when the OOTP came out and before reading it, I wondered what the odrer was. I was kind of expecting something more surprising but I guess that at the time I dind't realise the importance that the order had for the world.

And yes, I would like to be an order member but I don't know what exactly I would rather do as a member. Maybe it would be wise to stay in the shadows but as far as I know myself I would never be happy with it so I would participate in the discussions and be someone of importance even if that would make me a bigger target for the Death Eaters. And I don't think that I could be able of actually fighting till death cause although they're Death Eaters threatening my life, I don't see me killing them.

I would probably like taking care of the Muggle world and helping people after certain dezasters caused by the DE. But if I have no ohter option then to fight back, I would defenetly not chicken out of it.

I would definately be part of the Order. They fight for what i believe in. I find the DA very interesting too, they are a sort of junior Order of the Phoenix, it's almost like a training ground for potential candidates.

That's true, because as you may remember, in OotP, no one wanted Harry, Ron, etc. to join, well except Sirius didn't care if Harry joined. =D But the DA is sort of what everyone needed to fight Voldemort because Umbridge wouldn't teach them anything.

I would join the Order because I would want to fight for what is right. I would definitley take a bunch a classes to train, though.

I would love to join the Order. They do good work and they love their secrets. I would be fun to do all that scheming with Dumbledore. Do you think Snape is nice at the Order meetings? I doubt it...lol It would be interesting to see if they had ranks and elections and such.

I would like to be in the Order, but I think that would take a lot of training and classes that I simply don't have (and probably wouldn't have, if I was in that world). I mean, there's a reason they didn't want the Trio to really join--aside from Harry, anyway, and he's kind of stuck in this "battle" whether he wants to be or not. So I think that I would love to join the Order, but only if I had enough training to not be insta-Avada Kedavra'ed.

I think its all well and good that everyone wants to be in the order when there is no real order. It sounds like a great thing, fighting voldemort and what not, but do you think could really do it? I mean, if the question had been asked 'Would you join the military?' I can promise that a lot more people would be saying no. And the Order is just like the military, in fact its like being on the front line of the military. Death is certain, and you are constantly in danger.

Many people will say that in the military they are not always fighting for what you want or fighting the way you want it, but there are times when the order does things that harry disapproves or disagrees with.

Now, I am not saying it is the same thing as the military, it is much different, much smaller, more secret (sort of like a hardcore CIA), and I am also not saying i wouldn't join either. All I'm saying is you need to really think about what you would be agreeing to by joining the order, could you handle the responsibility? Could you watch your best friends die and not stop fighting? It's a tough question and try and give it some thought before jsut saying, "I would love to fight against voldemort". Its a much bigger decision than that.

You bring up a very good point lancelot243... it is similar to being in the military... except for right at the front. I think if I had to sign up for the military I would with no problems (which I don't because I'm a girl) but it's just not something I really want to do, like I want to go to college to be a teacher/coach, pediatrician, or pharmacist. Its not something I'd be inclined to do... not because I'm scared but because I would rather be doing something else. But of course lots of people that don't have the choice would rather they did have the option to say no... and its easy for me to say that when I don't have to by any means.

However, if I was asked directly to join the order my answer would depend on a couple factors which would keep me from accepting.
1. kids
2. husband
3. sick family that needs me
4. degree
5. job

I'd love to be part of the Order. I want to be able to help the people who defends others against Voldemort and the Death Eaters. I always thought that it'd be really dang great if I help in something that I truly believe in.

I would love to join, I'm just not sure I'm brave enough..but I think I could find the courage to stand up and fight for my rights ( I didn't mean for that to rhyme, haha! ) As for who I want my partner to be.. I would have to say either Hermione, Tonks, or Lupin. Hermione, because shes really intelligent, a great wizard, and I think we would get along really well. Tonks, because she's a great wizard and she could make everyone laugh in hard times. And Lupin, because he's obviously a great wizard and I think he would be fun to be around.

Yes, I would want to be a part of the Order. It would be an honor for me. I would fight Voldemort any way I could. I am not sure what the best job within the Order would be for me, owing to my age (66) but maybe I could help Molly defumigate and clean!

As Molly showed us in the Battle at Hogwarts, even the witchy moms can pack a mean punch! She matched Voldemort's pet Death Eater, Bellatrix, and eventually bested her. I'm sure there are myriad of tasks you could perform.

Yes! It would be awesome to be part of the order. I would definetly be part of the spying and infiltration part of it. It would be fun to sneak around and gather info on Voldemort.
And to find out who is under his hand and who isnt. I would be an unregistered animagous and keeps tabs on his people and pass info from other order members to other members. I also would want to fight head to head at the Battle of Hogwarts and help defend it!
